I wish I’d never installed ForumaFacebookapp! Initially it seemed good because it showed posts from groups I joined with only a few annoying “suggested” posts. But after a couple of days my feed became 100% unwanted “suggested” posts - and clicking on hide or not interested on those posts does nothing. Worse yet this spread and also now happens on FB groups on my desktop; where I used to only see a few suggested posts in my feed on desktop, now that’s basically all I get. So thanks to ForumaFacebookapp, my groups feed has become a cesspool just like regular FB - even if I don’t use ForumaFacebookapp. Thanks Meta!
Been stuck on the waitlist for at least a week and still haven’t gotten off yet. App is unusable
Negative signals count as “engagement” aka “Show me more of what I hate.”
Facebook needs another platform where people will generate content to train their AI algorithms on. Besides, already full of right wing propaganda and such.
I don’t like the blatant copying of Reddit. Fact of the matter is that meta is always trying to copy instead of innovate: groups, threads, whatsapp, and now forums.
Facebook is dying and this is the best they can come up with? A Reddit-clone with none of the benefits of Reddit?
Anonymity is gone.
More importantly, they’re just importing all of their users from Facebook. You know what happens when you bring those users here? You get another Facebook.
More complaints from boomers and AI-generated garbage. No thanks.
It’s literally just a branch of Facebook. You can see your feed and post just like on Facebook. Definitely not a competitor of Reddit.
After downloading ForumaFacebookapp and logging in, I was met with a curated feed of posts from groups I’ve joined decades ago and forgotten to leave. Why on earth would I even waste my time downloading yet another app just to have an aggregation of Facebook Group posts is the dumbest idea.
Filled with ai junk, terrible suggestions
I'm not sure why we need a dedicated Facebook group app when my feed is absolutely overwhelmed with Groups posts now. However, if we are going to have one, it would be nice that it worked correctly. I can't post anything with a photo. Every single time I get an error message that it can't upload the photo. And then if you continue with the post anyway, it just disappears into the ether with no error message or anything, it's just gone. So, a lot of wasted time.
I’m thinking it needs a few more tweaks. I like that I have all my groups in one spot and u can see them all but it still needs something.
I've been using this since the beta launched and it's amazing. Highly recommend!
Nice app
I love the groups app, Forum. I use Facebook only for my groups. And to have all my groups accessible without the extra noise is pretty awesome. I like the easy format of seeing my groups all together in a feed. Otherwise my groups would get lost and I would lose track.
Thanks
Reddit has gotten too political for me and full of bots not to say this does too but it feels like what Reddit was years ago.
I like this better than the original Facebook app. It’s way more simple.
Thanks for creating ForumaFacebookapp! It’s great to have a space that allows us to focus directly on engaging in the Groups we care about most.
To be honest, I was just trying it out, but the layout was so user friendly and intuitive that if enough ppl start using it, I’ll keep ForumaFacebookapp !
This is a fantastic way for me to use my groups. It’s my favorite part of face book so having a place to see all my groups content away from the noise is much appreciated.
I used to use the Facebook Groups app back in the day, this is very much the old Groups app but better.
ForumaFacebookapp is only for iPhone, not iPad sadly.
Can’t wait for an Android version soon. 🙏🏻
