Tried several times doesn’t generate videos just freezes

If the developers gave you the ability to approve the video or try again before charging you a credit id rate it higher but as ElfAlert stands right now it’s not worth it.

In the video it made for me the elf was wearing all black and was huge like 3ft. Tall. Not sure how they expected anyone to purchase credits when the first video was so poorly done!

Unusable. The videos I had it create had word bubbles pop up over the elves with gibberish. One of the videos it created a duplicate elf. Love the concept but the execution is worthless.

It came with 1 movie credit. I purchased an additional 3 credits. Out of 4 videos, not a single one even had an image/ video of an elf that matched my elf. On top of all the other issues.

Did not work- at all. I would imagine you would have to buy so many credits to get even 1 viable video.

Waste of money for sure. It doesn’t do what you want it to do and you have to try multiple times and the videos are 5sec short and 3 videos for $7 yeah no thank you. Don’t waste your time and money on this.

You only get one video credit for an app that literally just uses ai like who wants to pay 30 bucks for 17 lousy videos. Just save your money or get a regular editing app membership that you can get infinite videos fron and costs the same as those 17 videos

Unfortunately 2 out of the 3 videos I purchased were a flop and doesn’t make sense. I asked for the elves and toys to have a snowball fight and it basically has this one bizarre elf flying around in the center like the champion and all the toys and elves are simultaneously making these jerking gestures without throwing any of the snowballs. Extremely disappointing. I tried to do the same video twice by thinking it would help to give more detail but apparently that made it worse so now 2 out of 3 of my credits are wasted. The first video I made was okay, not the best, just okay.

It’s definitely fun watching the Elf move but it’s disappointing that you have to pay 30$ and all the features on ElfAlert don’t work. We recorded the Elf talking on the first day but after that we haven’t been able to make a video where the Elf talks and that made my daughter very sad. Now I wish I had not downloaded ElfAlert in the first place.

I got it the other day and it worked amazing! I was so excited because I found something really cool for when you don’t have the energy to do the elf or you run out of ideas or time. I bought credits to generate more videos, and then it stopped working 😭. It would stay frozen when generating the video.

I really wanted to give this 5 stars but I paid for 10 videos and had to waste 3 of them because they turned out so awful and I can’t get my money back. Only one out of 4 turned out good.

Had to pay to get the videos, was very difficult and confusing to work, video didn’t even make the elf move; complete scam and useless app.

The first video that’s free looked amazing I was so excited but the way I took it I realized I couldn’t easily explain why I saw elf move so I paid for 3 more videos to make a more realistic one. I’ve tried twice and even though my elf was in photo it had a Santa looking elf appear for some reason. There should be a way to preview to make sure it’s what we want without wasting our video credits and it not turning out. Very disappointed and worried my third and last attempt isn’t going to work. I’m not spending more $$

Very cute. But it only makes 2 free videos then You have to pay. Can only make 1 at a time as well.

I like ElfAlert and the idea of it I just don’t like how ElfAlert is structured.

Videos can be great but I’ve found it works 30% of the time, sometimes videos spin on creating forever, sometimes they get produced with random gibberish writing in the video and can’t be used. All these “extra” tries spends credits you don’t get back keeping your money. It’d be nice if you could get a few tries per credit or get a credit back if you don’t like the output. When you do actually get a one to complete, and it’s good quality video it’s a cool app but problems with UX for sure.

Support was able to help me quickly and resolve some of this.

ElfAlert is amazing. I’m the oldest child and I helped my parents move around the elf. My younger siblings love waking up and watching the “cameras” as the elf moves throughout the night. I love doing this and it’s such a great bonding time in the mornings with me and my siblings. I 10 out of 10 recommend ElfAlert though it does take a few minutes to generate the video. It is so worth it in the end.

I just downloaded ElfAlert and this has made the elf experience 100% more fun and so much easier! Can’t wait to make the elf move for all the setups and eventually would love to support ElfAlert and buy a few credits to make it talk. Super creative idea. Day one was awesome! Can’t wait to see what else we can come up with.

Originally when I downloaded ElfAlert it wasn’t working on my iPhone 16pro max at all but since I’ve updated it it is truly AMAZING and such a game changer. I have 4 kids ages 8, 6, 2.5, and 1 and they LOVE getting videos and messages from their elf. Purchasing credits is worth it so far for us.
