I don’t mind having to watch ads for free content. I am a team player, but the ads come without a clear available option to exit out of them after you’ve done watched them. They specifically play the ads that allow you to play the games on them, but there is no option to leave them besides exiting out of the browser. Once again, I wouldn’t mind having to do that if it were only once, but instead, when you reopen the browser and go to read again within two seconds, it brings you back up to the same ad that you cannot exit. You will have to go through this loop three or four or five times in order to get past the ad with no clear way to exit it.
The sleeves you feeling a little bit like a prisoner and like you were duped into using this Noel.
The ads are too much. I can’t get through one single page without two ads. Not worth my precious time. I have a subscription to kindle unlimited. I honestly saw a few books that looked promising, and I really would have enjoyed continuing the one I decoded on. However, the ads are making me head for the hills.
I’ve emailed 4 times to stop charging my card and cancel my subscription and haven’t heard back from them once. Finally had to cancel my card and get a new one. 🤦🏽♀️
Long ads pop up every single half page. Most book apps have you watch ads between chapters, not this one! In addition to this, Noel crashes constantly!
You can't read a story when an ad pops up every three minutes that takes 1 to 2 minutes before you can get back to the story.
It keeps force closing on me I deleted it and redownloaded Noel but all it did was start all my stories back over at chapter 1 and it's still force closing. Otherwise it's a great story app the amount of adds are reasonable being as it's completely free so far I'll change my review if this bug is fixed
Your reading and a ads pop-up so you watch the ad go back to reading and a second later a other ad pops up, repeatedly. Deleting Noel not worth it
I understand the point of ad-supported apps but I’m getting them every minute or per page. And each ad is about a minute long or even worse, it never provides an option to close the ad so you’re just sitting and waiting for something to happen. Makes it way too difficult to read or try to even enjoy Noel .
The ads on Noel are beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. I understand having ads to support a free app. But these ads are long and appear every minute. Now I know you’re thinking, This must be hyperbolic. I TELL NO LIES. EVERY MINUTE THERE IS A LONG AD. It is beyond unreal. I could not even last more than an hour and am sat here filled with such regret at the time I wasted, I had to post a review to try and spare others from the wasted time and shame of having wasted said time.
Noel needs some serious improvements if it expects people to keep it. They have no way of determining how many chapters are in each book. There's also no summary of any books. I get this is ad supported and free. But other ad supported reading apps do both those things very well. The stories are typical mediocre stories that are predictable once you get halfway thru them. I'd give half a star with the two, but unfortunately reviews don't allow that. Hopefully developers take this seriously as I'm not the only reviewer complaining about these issues.
I don’t normally write reviews but Noel keeps crashing. That needs to be fixed. I dont mind the ads but I can’t even read three chapters without it crashing
Right now Noel is too aggravating to use. I understand the need to advertise, but I am unable to end the advertisement after it has played by pressing the “x.”
I like that it’s free and don’t mind the ads, but I won’t keep using it if I can’t see a book description and chapter list.
Love the service, good stories, ads are short, usually not too intrusive, but Noel is now crashing every 30-60 seconds and every relaunch initiates another ad. It’s getting to the point it’s not worth trying to read any stories.
I keep getting the prompt to continue reading and what looks to be a copy link button but no way to get back to the actual reading. I’ve loved Noel so far and don’t mind the ads but this is new and annoying. Any suggestions
The ads are annoying sometimes I won’t get one for awhile then other times it’s too frequent. However, my main complaint is I would like chapter overview or a list of chapters. I want to skip around because sometimes it drags or I at least want to know how many chapters are left.
I appreciate the fact that the developer lets us read free novels, however there’s so many ads and then to place the in the middle of the chapter it’s so annoying
My earlier review isn’t available yet, so new review to correct.
The ads work on my iPhone, but not on my iPad Pro. Please look into this. I prefer reading on my iPad Pro.
The new update allows you to view chapters and read previews on a novel now, which is good. But there is no way for me to delete a novel from my read list when I’m done with it. I am also having trouble with the ads blocking the buttons and I have to close out Noel instead or I’m stuck with a loop of ads on the bottom.
Every time I try to read a book, it just kicks me out might be able to read one or two chapters before getting kicked out over and over again
Update: bug is fixed working great now
I even like the way the ads pop up randomly. It’s better than watching them every chapter.
