I LOVE the way Pagebound is set up with the forums to talk about books at certain percentages, and the quests they have. I wish there were just a few things added that other tracking apps have, like a progress bar, and some more info about the book itself (publication date, how many pages, format of paperback vs. hardback) but overall I’m super happy with it. I love the bright fun colors, as well as the review system with the emoji’s! And the best part is that it’s woman owned and completely anti-AI!

I began using this app on web, before they announced their app. After discovering them on social media, I loved that I could catalogue all the books on my physical shelves, create digital “bookshelves”, and track my TBR list on a digital platform. They have every book I own listed, and I keep discovering more & more to add to my never-ending TBR. The interface is really easy to use, keeps it light and entertaining, and I love the way Pagebound is organized. Super user friendly!

The social function is 100% amazing and gives an added layer to this - it can be tough to find community in reading, find people with similar taste, etc. Their Taste feature is great for helping me get recommendations from people who read similar genres, and even search for recommendations from people who are nothing like me. And in today’s world, I’m always looking for more community & more embracing of book culture. Thank you, PB!

I love the Reddit+Goodreads combo, but I might suggest that forums posts for books on someone’s TBR list and not their “finished” list don’t get added to the feed. Spoilers don’t always get tagged properly, and I’d rather have that be opt-in than opt-out as someone who considers meta-spoilers a thing. I love Pagebound so far though, and it’s been a much more fulfilling replacement scrolling app that instagram. It actually inspires me to do something besides scroll.

An app to track and chat about your favorite books. The content is all very cute, the makers are very sweet, and very involved with their users. Pagebound features things like quests, badges, read alongs, and forums that allow you to chat with others as you make your way through a book.

this is such a great alternative to what's currently out there, and it's one that I feel really good about supporting: indie, women-owned, anti-AI, it doesn't get much better than that! the interface is so cute, and all of the forums, lists, and quests not only make the book tracking fun, but I also feel more connected to fellow readers!

Such a fun way to track books! Pagebound is visually beautiful, which is an added bonus. I love that the social aspect is way more user friendly than other reading apps. I love being able to sort comments in the forum so I can see what people have thought at the same spot I’m currently reading.

i've been trying to find the right book tracker for me that best fits my needs while also allowing for social interaction and this one just checks all the boxes!!!

it is super aesthetic, i love the layout, and the community itself is so kind!! completing main quests and side quests earn you cute badges, you can find users with similar book taste, various read alongs/book lists for you to choose from, Pagebound has it all!! 😺🫶

the one thing i do wish it had is a dark mode toggle, however, the design itself like i mentioned is super aesthetic though i usually prefer dark mode on my apps.

Pagebound is absolutely made for readers. Each book is its own Reddit page and that is such an amazing idea. I just wish they were able to save your place in books when you post to a forum. But I know they are a small and passionate team and are working hard to add many features. Amazing app!

I used to love using Goodreads to track my books but have been wanting more discussion and community that I don’t get from that app. this app is the PERFECT place for book readers to find a place to discuss, react, befriend, and find new recommendations. I love the aesthetic and the cozy feel of Pagebound and the quests and sense of accomplishment I get after finishing a book from the lists created. I also love supporting the women who created it! Excited for the future of this app 💞

Pagebound is AMAZING. Goodreads meets Reddit, with a super cute aesthetic and reviews that are unsaturated by people who rate without reading 😌 The community on this app is amazing and I have loved getting to share, discuss, and explore books with fellow readers in a way I never have before. I am OBSESSED! Not to mention it was created and run by two amazing women, Jennifer & Lucy, who are always looking for better ways to improve their product and talking and discussing with users.

My favorite part of Fable and Reddit are the book communities. Pagebound is amazingly designed, it is bright and eyecatching. So much more fun than boring goodreads. You can import both your goodreads and storygraph libraries which is awesome. I also appreciate the quests given- theyre like book clubs but more along the lines of StoryGraph’s readalongs that are genre and topic specific. I also love the paused tag- for books I’m not actively reading anymore but have started and do not intend to dnf. A great app! Support indie and ethical creators!

this app has helped me fall back in love with reading. The community is incredibly welcoming and kind, and as someone without any irl friends who read, this is exactly what I was missing. The feature set really sets Pagebound apart and is what makes these connections with other readers possible. You can tell the founders are huge readers themselves and really had a vision. I cannot believe this was made by a 2 person team with 1 engineer—it is so smooth and has SO MANY features for a first release.

Finally an app that gets how I actually read. The monthly/yearly read planner is everything—I love being able to add books I plan to read without having to mark them as “currently reading” when I haven’t even cracked them open yet. It’s such a small thing but it makes a huge difference.

It also has a reading goal tracker like Goodreads (bless), plus little challenges/badges like Kindle and Audible that keep things fun. And the rating system? You can rate characters, plot, pacing, etc. like Fable does, which I love because sometimes the vibes are 5 stars even if the ending wasn’t.

One last thing and I’ll shut up: your feed only shows books on your shelf. So I’m not getting bombarded with genres I don’t care about. It’s clean, personal, and actually useful.

If you’re a mood reader, planner, or just tired of cluttered book apps—this app is it.

As someone whose main hobby is reading, I’ve tried quite a few book tracking apps in the past few years. None of them come close to this app, in fact, I’d say book tracking is the least this app can do! Being able to post about the books you’re reading and chat with other readers as you go is so unbelievably fun, not to mention the book quests, the badges and points you can earn, and the cutest aesthetic ever. I’ve been recommending Pagebound to every reader I know and I’ll continue to shout from the hilltops how amazing it is!!!

I’m in love with Pagebound. It’s great for book discussions and to track your reading. It reminds me of message boards from back in the day! I love being able to share opinions and discuss reading habits with the community. My favorite and quite unique feature has to be the ability to plan upcoming reads. The shelf organization is great. The UI and design of Pagebound is beautiful. Navigating Pagebound is pretty easy and will probably become even more so, considering Pagebound developers are so attuned to feedback from the users. this app has quickly become my main book app!

Of all the Goodreads alternatives I’ve tried, this one feels the most fun and intuitive! Personally I prefer the Reddit-style forums to the questionnaire format of Storygraph. I really like being able to see other people’s thoughts about specific parts of each book while knowing I’m not going to get spoilers because I can filter out comments from further on in the book. There are parts of Pagebound that are still a little clunky because it’s so new (like when you click on an author you get all of their books in all the languages it’s published in, rather than the English editions first) but overall I am really impressed with the experience!

I have been on the hunt for over a year and a half to find a successful way to track my books. I tried the unknown apps (that crash every two seconds), I tried Goodreads and was always wanting more from them, and now I’ve found this app. Pagebound is not only cute and has a beautiful interface, it also is very user friendly and has a very cute vibe overall. I love the forums and being able to talk about the books that you are reading at the moment, I really love all the bookshelves you can create (and of course the ones they have pre-made). I would definitely recommend Pagebound, not owned by a greedy corporation, woman owed and operated, anti AI, I simply could not ask for more!

so i’ve been following this app on IG since April, just (im)patiently waiting for it to become an app, and only using the website, and i absolutely LOVEE Pagebound so much. it truly makes reading books feel so public and community-based with all of the interaction (reminding me of reddit and hints of the Wattpad comment section ((compliment!!)) and reading lists and challenges (which has exposed me to some incredible and niche picks that i added to my tbr list.

It’s all the best parts of Goodreads, Storygraph, and all the book trackers from before but even better because it’s cuuute and colorful and user-friendly, there are no Ads, no AI, no association with A*azon, and run by two independent queens!!

Plus, my favorite little part is the this app Club forum. Just being able to speak freely to other book-lovers is so important to me.

I strongly encourage anyone new to join the royalty program or to donate to keep this up and running and to also further Pagebound even more if they come up with amazing ideas (ahem more stats about reading please! but i’ll be patient :) )

I have a couple friends who read but not a ton and using Pagebound to talk to people about their thoughts and the books they are reading is AMAZING! The description I saw on their instagram is not misleading at all; it really is if Goodreads and Reddit had a baby and this is my only book app from now on!
