4.7 out of 5
Only playing it cause it’s the only mmorpg that doesn’t autoplays itself

There are many aspects of this game that are alright and many that are downright awful. They basically make training in this game pointless, you need millions of exp to level up and defeating monsters grants you like 5 exp, what happened to the good old days when you had to grind to level up instead of doing a single quest that grants you like 2 million exp? Secondly the drop rates in this game are terrible. I would understand if it was for incredibly rare items like any boss specific spirit summons. But to even get just a decent weapon is already such a hassle with these terrible drop odds. This game could be great but devs won’t change a thing. Literally only playing because there isn’t many other options out there.

Game is great, Gacha is the worst of all time. DO NOT SPEND

Let me start off by saying, Im a Gacha afficianado. And Blue Protocol Star Resonance is NOT a good gacha. I wish they had never even put a gacha system into their game, because everything else in the game is pretty satisfactory. But let me tell you why the gacha kills the experience for me. There is a rare pull rate of .15% (yes, you are reading that correctly) which makes it 4 times less likely to “win big” than other games like Genshin Impact or Wuthering Waves. There is no soft pity, only a hard pity at 80 or 90 pulls, I dont recall. And that’s not the worst part!

There are two types of Red Gems to pull with, and theyre intentionally made to be confusing. Red Gems are the currency you use to pull with, and out the gate it looks like they give you a fair bit for downloading the game, just enough for a 10 pull. Unfortunately, what they send you are Red Gems (Bound) which CANNOT BE USED FOR NEARLY ANYTHING. This is also the only currency you can earn while playing the game as a Free 2 Player. You are allowed to use them to buy THREE PULLS PER WEEK, and that’s it. That means it will take you roughly 30 weeks (7 months roughly) to hit hard pity and pull a single rare drop. Your pulls are also for (Bound) items that cannot be sold or traded in game, because you’re pulling with the free currency. This is the most astonishingly greedy move Ive ever seen by a game developer, ever, and I made it through 5 years of Genshin.

Play the game if you’d like, I think it has potential. But under no circumstances should you give your money to such a greedy developer. Maybe they’ll change the system, I’d be happy to come back and update my review. Until then, Id give them 0 stars if I could.

Dev don’t want you to play

The game isn’t anything new pretty standard Asian MMO, lots of grinding, as far as I can tell there is no P2W yet, but that is to be determined. The game combat is fun, but there maybe some sort of input issues, I play this mostly on steam so PC, cannot attest for mobile.

That being said I can’t even play my own account on mobile. Everyone is having plethora of different issues on how yo log in and create an account. Some people can’t use BlueProtocol , has to do it through the website, I can make it on BlueProtocol , but not through the website?

I gave in earlier before the global launch and just did the google options, but now my next issue is there is no login options via mobiles on Iphone, but why? Creating a new A plus account via using my gmail it said it’s a valid email, my apple ID uses the same email, but I can’t log in via apple ID it would make a fresh new account, making a new aplus then linking it to my gmail, the same email account btw, it’s saying the account is already link?

So without a pc I can’t even go into the game to fix this issue, wanted to keep up some grinding while I am out of town but I guess that’s not okay. You had all this time, yet you made a mediocre game, which whatever i am okay with the mmo grind slops, but you can’t even make basic account creation, log in, linking correctly? Do you even want this game to do well? Didn’t it already flop before? Or now you’re just trying not to get sue, what a disappointment.

Not bad, but not great

This game is great to go and do things with friends, lots of leisure activities and tons of cosmetics to personalize your look. But as you play you start to notice the game is incredibly grindy. I wouldn’t say it’s pay to win, because everything can be obtained by crafting it. The perfect example would be to say it’s PAY TO SPEED UP its takes FOREVER to craft anything. Because you have to gather materials which takes for every and then you have to gather materials to craft the materials need in order to craft the item you want. It’s just takes so long. The house system is nice until you realize it’ll take you literally forever to craft one piece of furniture especially when the logs you need can ONLY be bought at your homestead with the money you get for your homestead. They have a trade system so if you wanna speed things up you have to go to the trade market to find those items using unbound luno which I believe is only given through the daily rewards. And it’s not much. It took 4 HOURS just to change the color of my outfit to pink. It’s a fun game for sure but the way it takes for ever to do something and even then you only have a certain amount of focus u can use to craft stuff before it runs out. There are so many restrictions, it’s just in the long run you need to have extreme patience

Fun game but the in-game currency system is whack

There’s really poor explanation of the currencies for this game, and why does there have to be so many? Between both bound and unbound, there’s rose orbs, luno, and meowlux…I bought rose orbs thinking I could somehow make my way to meowlux to start collecting outfits but it’s impossible. I think I’ve finally figured out you can trade luno for them but it’s close to 1M luno and unfortunately if it’s bound so you can’t use it…my favorite part of these types of games is collecting unique and cool limited edition outfits and mounts. Seems like that’s not really possible in this game even after I spent actual money.

Great game- Weak Story

I was loving this game up until a point where you faced an antagonist and long story short… they let him go when he was right in front of them. And they led us to believe there’d be a boss fight or something.

I’m a person who will be loyal to a game with a great story… but that killed my immersion and my interest. You don’t build up a villain and then just let the heroes let him go for no reason when they could still fight and expect your players to think “why didn’t we just fight here?”

I get if it’s a stupid reason for dropping a game…but I feel like if you’re gonna have a dude attempt to cause an entire city’s degradation… you don’t just let him walk after he tells you to. You fight until you physically can’t get up anymore.

has potential!

i'm incredibly impressed that THIS is the game right off of launch, and i'm hoping the devs will pay attention to this constructive criticism.

1. my first issue is the voice! i made a burly dude, and he's got a young man's voice. i would like to see more options for voices in the future.

2. facial details. the trailer boasted some pretty great sliders, and i did test them out to their full capacity. the only reason WHY i didnt choose a female option is because you cant change the eye distance from each other, they all look WAY too far apart and so i swotched to the masculine look.

3. running/walking speed. the other thing they fail to show you in the trailer is how fast your running animation is, but how SLOW you still are, even with a mount. turning is janky and you get caught on things very easily. the movement is all around a big work in progress. in my opinion, if you changed the regular speed to the dash, and make the dash a little faster - OR make the mount move much faster and more efficiently, i would give this game a second chance. i hate feeling slow in games where it's required that i'm zooming around. i want to FEEL fast. not just look fast.

4. custom clothes. i nderstand the need to make a profit off of your game, and also i know that this game has also JUST released- but in the customization screen, not only can you choose your own outfit but you can customize the colours too, until of course you back out and confirm your look. even after that when i wanted to get new clothes, i realized that what i wanted wasnt even in the gacha! please fix this.

thank you for all your hard work. i have hope for this game and if it improves, my rating will increase as well as my love for the game. i beg of you not to make the same mistakes as infinity nikki and genshin impact.

Connection Issues

This game looked amazing, which is why I signed up. Stunning graphics, the character customization is expansive, open world exploration and interaction, the capability to socialize and interact with others, even preregistration and getting exclusive bonuses. What wasn’t amazing is the lag, the constant kicking you from the game, constantly losing connection to the internet, glitching and crashing. It’s a new game, it’ll have errors, depending on how overloaded some servers are it’ll crash and glitch. It takes time to remove bugs, update issues, constant repairs, etc. I like the game, don’t get me wrong, it’s just gonna be a while before I can say whether it truly rocks or is a waste of time. I’m hoping it’ll get better as time goes on and if it does I’ll give it another go. As it is, I can’t even get past the first interaction of defeating Caprahorns and continuing the progression of the game.

Hmm

First of all, I like the larger variety of classes to choose from; it really makes me think about what I specifically want and don’t want. Second, I adore the customization feature! I personally went with a light, ethereal appearance despite choosing a class that states it involves scythes (though I have to say, I’m not really sure when I will get a true scythe instead of the sword that I currently have, as that confuses me). The open world isn’t particularly striking to me, but that’s usually never my main focus anyway. The combat also isn’t bad as far as I’m at, the movements smooth (even if it does sometimes lag for me, which turned out to be a storage problem that I later fixed) and enemies engaging. They even have cat themes in certain places (like in names of some currency, or even the paw gloves I obtained which are adorable.)

There are so many things I still want to know as a newer player, like the different varieties of armor available to obtain. It’s always nice seeing my character with different combinations than the previous look; it just adds to my collection of cool aesthetics. I also, as stated in the first paragraph, want to know when the scythe aspect of my class will be relevant. I guess I’ll keep playing and hopefully find out soon!

I’d recommend just giving this game a try, see if you like it. It’s got its good qualities as well as its flaws. Just like a normal person in that sense, right? Thank you for reading. 😊

Lots of potential!

I love the scenery, story, and animations! Character customization for a game like this is a dream come true… but..

I’d love to see the ability to change your characters personality, different variants of clothing (less revealing for females) and the ability to have a secluded sever (the players so far are respectful about letting you deal with monsters yourself for leveling up, but when there are more than one person trying to get a certain mob it gets pretty chaotic!)

All in all, gets some time to get used to navigation or leveling but it’s really fun to play. The animations are great and I am in love with the character customization, a little more variation and it’d be a perfect path to go down. I can’t wait to see how this game improves in the future!

Needs some tweaks to be better

Honestly I feel like the progression is kinda sluggish. The material farming and stamina usage need to be more consistent and forgiving. Double the stamina and material drop rates at least on weekends and I think most of us can live with that. Also add a Permanent reusable dye for armor/clothes something like “Glittering Starlight” (white) & “Ebony Void” (black) I mean even OG Diablo 3 offered that much as a freebie to all its players for simply playing. Even if it’s an unlock-able item for reaching like Lv. 20 it’s a fair reward. Adding some skins as achievement and progression rewards as well as rare weapon skins or a guaranteed 1x Legendary weapon box and cool costume per character class for reaching max lv per class would also be a good incentive to play talk it over with the development staff .

Honestly, what else do you want?

It’s a mobile anime MMO, with multiclassing, gathering, crafting, raids and dungeons, very similar to FF XIV. Being that it’s a MOBILE game, it has things like optional purchases, optional auto pathing and combat (works better for some classes than others), a catch-up system, and daily and weekly activity/earning limits. For some reason, this upsets people.

By far the worst part of mobile gaming has been this idea that you HAVE to log in and monotonously no-life an entertainment activity every day to get your pretend coins. I don’t know how many games I’ve quit over time because of this. You’re telling me that here I can 1. Automate running to the activities and even automate basic combat while I do my real life stuff, 2. there’s limits to how much you can get daily and weekly so you won’t fall behind people who treat it like their job because you have a life, 3. if you miss a few days, no problem, because it’ll save up to 3 days of bonuses and there’s a catch up mechanic if you’re out for a while.

And this is a bad thing? Are people nuts? It’s all the QOL features that make FF XIV great and more to make it mobile friendly. People should be jumping for joy over this, and instead they complain. Don’t listen to those people. This is an MMO that can be enjoyed anywhere, any time without feeling like it’s your second job. The story isn’t bad. Having *gasp* dialogue in an MMO isn’t the friggin’ apocalypse. Yeah, there are costumes and mounts you can buy in game. Shocker of the year, that. The rest of the currency actually used to buy materials and help smooth out your progression is actually earned in-game via those daily and weekly activities.

People are being way dramatic over nothing, and, frankly, exposing themselves. The game is fun, and if you like games like FF XIV, you’ll like this.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Best game ive ever played

Hey, hey! If you dont have this game, and you like battling monsters, making friends, customizing your character to the best, role- playing, having a pet, solving mysteries, and experiencing emotional clips, then your missing out! I tried to find a game just like this my entire life, and someone made that come true! So if you like adventures, then adventure in a world of fantasy and life learning lessons! And parents, if your reading this, I too am a mother of four. So if any of your children are above twelve, and loves animè, then you should let them experience the thrill of taking a journey through a fiction world! Thank you for reading my review, and hope you enjoy this happy game!

Mobile MMORPG with proper controls!!

I use my M4 iPad Pro like a computer. I plug it into a docking station with a keyboard and mouse, external monitor, surround sound, gaming chair, etc. So it's tough for me to pick my iPad up and hold it while clawing at the screen with my thumbs like an animal. Proper keyboard and mouse or controller support are super important to me!! This game actually has keyboard/mouse support, so it feels like a real PC MMORPG when playing. This is the game I've been waiting for. Thank you thank you thank you so much!!! I'm a simple man, I see key/mouse support, I give 5 stars. You'll be getting money from me as well every month. You earned it.

Amazing, but glitchy

My favorite part about this game is the story. It is well done, and made me cry because I had an emotional attachment to an NPC that died. I didn’t even know that the attachment existed because it was hidden by how annoying he was. The combat is great as well. The biggest problem I encounter is lag (which is most likely just my phone) and when I play with the keyboard on my iPad, I can’t use W and A or D at the same time. It is also annoying to run that way. Another future feature that would be nice would be the ability to hide chat, since it takes up a relatively large amount of room on Mobile. Finally, World Bosses have the tendency to spawn on me and kill me.

Beginner player here

So far so good I luv the gifts they give and I like the voice acting and the scenery details. I would like to see a bit more work on the game motion camera such as when riding a mount(it’s feels a bit wonky), moving around and fighting. Also work on the lock on feature to not be easily unlocked. I luv the chrctr creation, I would luv a voice change feature though(maybe I missed it). Add more beard options please and sunglasses. The story is pretty generic so far at the beginning but VA carries, the fighting mechanics are good. I like the double jump feature(give the mount the ability to double jump too) and touch of parkour. Give a smile action in the game where the avatar smiles with their eyes open(thr are varieties of smiles that don’t show them smiling naturally with their eyes open). *I’ll update if anything*

Incomplete

I love the parkour I can do and how free exploring is, flying is a bit difficult sometimes but never the less it’s doing so well, my only complaint is the talent tree, I hope we can unlock all the talents eventually, not being able to atm seems weird so I hope in an update we’ll be able to unlock all our talents, and I would like to see underwater exploration, with how unique the exploration is in this game I have high hopes for being able to explore underwater in an update to come. Other than that I think the game is doing a great job so far.

Great First MMO for Casual Players

I've wanted to play a real MMO for so long, but was always intimidated by gritty aesthetics, hardcore playerbases, and overwhelming mechanics. But with this game I was able to find a casual-friendly guild through the official discord and have had an amazing time making friends and playing through dungeons. I've genuinely had so much fun despite a few UI/control limitations that come with being mobile only. A lot of the negative feedback seems to come from the hardcore playerbase, but I haven't run into a single problem that would drop my review score.

Amazing and suits any type of player

This game has amazing world building as well as many different types of playstyles. Players can decorate houses, join a team and fight bosses, go fishing, have tea parties, take photos, ride cute animals around the world, design characters, play through an immersive story, take on commissions solo or with a party, play fun simulation events, and so much more. As someone who has had only 6 hours of sleep total this past week because of endless work, this game has helped me relax a lot. If you like Hoyoverse games, you’ll probably enjoy this one as well, though this one is very unique with a completely different feel to the gameplay. For Genshin and ZZZ players, the sprint is on the left side of the atk in this game so be prepared to fight your muscle memory in dodging. I love this game and highly recommend giving it a try!

Good game, but…

This has nothing to do with the game but rather your own enjoyment. It can be overwhelming at times dedicating time to grind all dailies and grind in general given the level of manual input. Please don’t overdo it. Don’t worry about chasing meta or keeping up with the unemployed sweats, go at your own pace. Burning out is a great way to end up regretting your choices and purchases. Do you really enjoy a game if you’re being forced into playing catchup and having your choices restricted in that sense?
