Glitches every time I close the app

I was really hopeful for Riley, I even paid for the subscription but every time I go to pull Riley back up I have to completely start from the beginning. Once I’d get through all the starting questions I’d have another child I was tracking when really I only have one & I just had to completely reenter all of his information. Not worth the money I paid & now I’ve paid for a year that I won’t be using because I’m not going through all the same questions multiple times a day every day.

Expensive for otherwise free information, Makes promises that it doesn’t keep.

Downloaded Riley hoping it would have unique information and helpful ideas on hitting milestones. Was disappointed that it was all information that has been otherwise presented for free, no fun spin or reason to pay for it, so I ended my free trial. Still got charged for a whole year($132) even though I no longer even have Riley downloaded and, again, CANCELLED MY FREE TRIAL, and they won’t refund. Also, promised upon agreeing to a free trial that they would notify 3 days before charging. They did not (I have a screenshot of all notifications they sent in the six days I had Riley active) Overall not worth it, and will take your money regardless of cancelling. Support team not helpful.

No free options

In-app purchases don’t exist. You do the entire set up and hit a paywall. I read the reviews they responded to claiming they have plenty of free options. However someone who has downloaded Riley 2 months after that response doesn’t have access to it. There’s no x to get out of the paywall screen. You’re just stuck there. Why does Apple allow this? Why are developers being so sneaky. Just charge people before downloading so they know what to expect and the transparency is there. However you loose trust when your deceptive. Get any excited about something then telling them they have to pay is such an annoying tired script. It probably worked in the past but people are over the scam. Very disappointing.

Bad coding

I wanted to love Riley, I tested all the top developmental/tracking apps on the market and desperately wanted this to work as
intended because it would have been the best of them all but there are just too many bugs to justify the cost (or use at all) I don’t have time to redo all of the logging entries and was having to use another app to time feedings and sleeps and then transfer them in. The Gyde feature has flaws too, aside from not outputting a schedule there are clear indicators that the entire app was vibe coded and not actually developed and QA’d. Such a shame because Riley had such potential but it the basic features just don’t work, it’s worthless.

It’s fine

App itself is fine, it’s nothing special, the reason for 2 stars is Apple automatically charges after the free trial for a year not even an option for a 1 month subscription… so when I asked for a refund since it wasn’t warranted for a charge of $120 the email back from the company stated “they don’t even give us the power to offer refunds even if we wanted to”. This is disappointing and puts a sour taste in my mouth for an app I’m not even interested in using after the trial (I missed the cancel date on day 7, and they charged before I could cancel).

There’s a lot to like but the bugs

I do like the idea of Riley and when it works, it’s good. The issue I’m having is I’m running into a few bugs right off the bat. There seems to be no option to invite my partner to Riley so we could use it to both our phones. I can add them into the account, but then I can’t actually send that person an invite to join the account. Also when it comes to breastfeeding and editing a session, the timers seem to go all wonky and not correspond with what I’m imputing. Also when it comes to adding her growth info, I can’t confirm the info without entering head size, and we don’t have that info. It should just let us submit the info we do have and not greying out the option unless all details are filled

Quite a lot of bugs but overall helpful

So far I’ve used it only for a week and I had trouble with tracking timer several times, but overall I like Riley features and what it’s trying to do.

Obviously helpful for first kid. Equally helpful for second kid.

Our first kid had endless attention…several trackers, books, and many questions to our pediatrician and friends. We didn’t have this app for him but I can see how helpful Riley would have been.

We are more laid back with our second kid and have found Riley to provide helpful reminders, nudges, and ideas. We don’t have the time to research/obsess like we did with kid #1 so I appreciate this being my one stop shop.

Chat first nature is great and Riley design/UI is slick.

Useful advice

I know the advice this app is giving is just from a computer, but it's still really useful. I got great tips on how to get my son more interested in the outdoors. We are going to try them this weekend!

Genuinely helpful

Riley has been genuinely helpful. I really like the 'More Bright Ideas' section. It suggested fun, and actually useful tips for things to do with my little ones this past weekend. The graphics are adorable.

Thank God for Riley

My partner and I just had our first baby and Riley makes me feel so much more confident (and less alone.) It felt really confusing figuring out what's important as we prepared for our first baby, but l a friend recommended this app and my god it's been amazing. I feel more and more prepared everyday. We LOVE this app!

the best!

Riley is a must for parents, particularly new parents. It’s comprehensive, answers your questions, reassures you and has creative suggestions for every issue that might arise. It “learns” about your baby and tailors advice accordingly. They used to say that new parents don’t get a manual with the baby, but now, this app is that!

A must have for new parents

Billions of people in human history have had children, and the tragedy in that fact is that most of those parents lived in a time when they couldn’t turn to this app for help. It’s been an indispensable tool for my partner and I in raising our newborn. Started on the 3 month plan, converted to annual after a week, with every cent.

The Parenting Partner You Didn’t Know You Needed

this app is like having a third parent in your pocket: always calm, organized, and ready with expert advice. It makes tracking feedings, sleep, diapers, and milestones effortless, and the development tips give real peace of mind. Beautifully designed and incredibly helpful for new parents navigating the chaos.

Best app for new parents

I heard about Riley when they launched this week and tried it out on a whim. I’m honestly so impressed - I know it’s still early for this company, but Riley is SO cool and intelligent. I love that it has memory, and gives me SUPER personalized answers to the million questions I have as the mom of 2 under 2. Excited to be an early adopter!!

Smart, beautiful app for parents like me

I love chatting with this app about some of my day-to-day baby questions. this app is smart, empathetic, and makes me feel supported as a young mom who has never done this before. I’m also someone who gravitates to beautiful, clean, easy-to-use apps and this is one of them — a huge upgrade to other clunky apps I’ve struggled with. Thank you, this app! ✨

So much better than Google

My baby is 3 weeks old and I’ve been using Reilly to ask questions that pop up in the course of parenting a newborn. I am so impressed by the quality of information that it gives when I ask a question. My questions are answered in a direct, sincere and helpful way - miles better than googling.

Great Tool

Riley is strengthening my family’s knowledge and communication about our infant (6 months old). I was hesitant to intrust technology with all questions and concerns but not only has it been helpful in times of need; this app has been superior to other options that I’ve tried. With Riley easy to navigate, and on my Home Screen at this point it’s easy to share intel with my partner.
Thanks this app!

A must-have for new parents!

this app has improved the lives of me and my family. It does an amazing job of using context about my family to help brainstorm ideas and give insights that we didn’t think of. The tracking and voice features are our favorite features especially since we’re always on the go and don’t have a chance to log it all. Once again, a must-have for new parents!

Helpful Guidance and User Friendly!

I’m not a parent myself, but I checked this out while helping a friend. It’s surprisingly thoughtful—clear info, calm tone, and no guilt-tripping. If I were a parent, I’d want something like this in my back pocket!
