I am very frustrated trying to chat with local guides after booking a tour. When I try to chat to relay important information to my local guide the keyboard comes up as it should but then the text box is covered by the keyboard and I can’t see what I have typed. Thus my message is a total mess and full of typos. I tried writing a message in ‘notes’ and copying and pasting into the chat box but I couldn’t make that work either.

I love the idea of this app and have used it but the difficulty in communications will discourage me from using Withlocals in the future

There’s no better way to see a new and unfamiliar city than through the eyes of a local. I’ve used With Locals all around Asia, and the people I’ve met never disappoint. The food tours are a particularly delicious way to interact with the local culture, and the guides have taken me to places I never would have found on my own. I can’t wait to explore more cities with the help of WL!

Withlocals is easy to use, easy to navigate, and very functional. We’ve easily texted before and after our tours using the chat platform, and found it easy to book tours and review our guides

I haven’t actually used it just but I just booked my first tour and everything went really smoothly. I like how you can communicate with the host because booking. This is such a great concept and I wish it was used in the US!

Withlocals is very easy to use and the guides respond back very timely once booked. The cancellation policy is fair also in case things change, but I’m really looking forward to the tours and day trips planned thus far for my birthday.

I highly recommend Withlocals for solo travelers, couples and small groups. What a great way to view or do activities with and from the perspective of a local! I find the experience much better and more meaningful than the traditional tour groups in a van/bus.

A friend told me about Withlocals just in time as we travel to Amsterdam. I was able to book a local guide to get an orientation of the town. All within minutes. I’m looking forward to meeting our local guide!!

If you are not into large crowded tours, but instead prefer small or private tours at a reasonable cost, then Withlocals is for you. There is no easier way to find a knowledgeable local tour guide!

I’ve used Withlocals 3 times over my trip to Portugal and Spain- its been seamless. The guides are great. The tours are fun. Withlocals is user friendly. Most importantly, the prices are fair and tours are PRIVATE! I will be using Withlocals over and over again. I hope they expand to tours world wide.

Alsa was an awesome tour guide. Very personable, She made us feel like we were right at home. She showed us so many interesting must see sites around the city and also catered to our interests while giving us great tips for the rest of our trip.

This is a phenomenal app. In Lisbon we booked a running tour of the city, a private dinner at a locals house, and a walking tour of the city that was appropriate to bring kids on. With Locals made our vacation a million times better. It’s easy to use and very helpful!!

Withlocals is fine, totally indifferent but the service this company provides is awesome. Withlocals makes it easy to chat with your guide once you book. Download it and book some tours! My only complaint is that they’re not in more cities!

We had a wonderful afternoon with Georgia learning about authentic Greek foods, drinks and then enjoyed eating them. She was great fun and even gave us a list of restaurants and bars. We highly recommend this tour but go early in your vacation so you can take advantage of the places she recommends!

I use Withlocals to locate guides and tours I prefer city by city - I like the instant and direct response and communication w the guide. Today I was few minutes late in taxi - using site I was easily able to notify and connect. I like that feature.

Absolutely brilliant way to see a city LIKEa local because you’re WITH a local! So happy I found this this app app before my first trip to Amsterdam - all the tours here have been amazing, and my guides knowledgeable, professional, and fun. Like seeing the city with friends. I’ve used this app in different cities across Europe and it hasn’t failed me yet. Fantastic guides that are true ambassadors of their cities. I highly recommend this app especially if you are traveling as a family with small children.

We took our bike tour with Pau. What a great way to start our trip. Pau was on time and very informative and a lot of fun. We never felt rushed and he was very flexible with our schedule. We recommend you start your vacation this way so you get a good preview of the city. I would highly recommend Pau and the bike tour to anyone.

This is the best way to learn about a town before you start exploring on your own. It allows you to ask questions that pertain to your interests. I always do this first thing and then I continue to explore the things I learned that interest me! Saves money and time in the long run!

I loved Withlocals! It made scheduling tours very easy. It made communication with the tour guides very easy and didn’t need my phone number.

One of the greatest features was the ability to select the location and have it pull up on my map app!

I will definitely use this again in the future when going on vacation anywhere this app has tours!

I travel to work often and find myself using this app more. Reliable and offers some terrific options, plus flexible times to allow me to fit in tours with my work schedule.
