FreeTVRemote was advertised as free in an Apple News article but it is only “free” to download and for the 3 day trial - then it’s $29.99 PER WEEK! I deleted it immediately. Cheaper to buy a new remote.

These 5 star reviews are completely fake. This remote is trash. By the worst! It disconnects on its own and I have to restart my phone over and over again just to get it to connect, only for it to disconnect again.

FreeTVRemote does what it says, it is an actual universal remote but it only lets you press a few buttons before being locked behind a paywall and telling you to buy a subscription to press more buttons. I find this funny because I could likely buy a remote off Amazon for the same price as the subscription but only pay once instead of every week
