Screw Away: 3D Pin Puzzle Reviews

I LOVE games like this. The 3-d element adds something to screw sorts that can appease me for a long time. In fact, I find them more stimulating then the 2-d versions. Because of this, I was excited to find another app with this kind of puzzle. Unfortunately, I can’t get past level 3. The buttons on the bottom cover part of the screws. You can rotate the puzzle somewhat, but even if you twist it all around and shrink it, you can’t see all screws. I’ve tried it for about a week and a half now, but I’m officially giving up and deleting ScrewAway . ScrewAway itself is sluggish and glitchy, something I can normally overlook if the puzzle is good enough. I don’t know why there are so many positive reviews saying they got to level 100 when I can’t even finish the third because of an issue that is not my fault.

I tried to find a way to report the issue but your app keeps sending me in circular directions leading back to the starting point. I’ve been collecting stars when I win however they won’t apply to the scenes and allow them to build. I’ve been stuck on the same scene forever. I’ve restarted ScrewAway , my phone, I’ve held the build button down, I’ve even tried clicking on the question mark above the person in the scene, but nothing has worked. I’ve piled up almost 500 stars and if you don’t fix the problem I won’t get my weekly award because I need to use 20 stars to build. I know first world problems but this game relaxes me and the star issue is really taking the fun out of it. I love watching them build. The low stars are to get attention so this gets fixed.

Some of the puzzles are to low on my iPad and the screws are behind the buttons at the bottom and cannot be tapped, if I try to use the break function it blocks out the part to be broken even worse than it was blocked by the button.
Update: I guess I will have to delete this game too many of the puzzles have parts that are behind the buttons on the bottom and no way to finish the puzzle. That’s too bad if it wasn’t for this one flaw I would definitely keep ScrewAway it’s really good except for this one problem.

Once you get to level 152 you are left with screws with no matching color to complete the grout of 3 of the same color, this is using all 4 boxes and all 4 have missing colors.

Your game stops showing 69% complete but there are no more screws to complete and close the game.

How is this possible? The game starts with a pyramid and once you clear it all the blocks, there is sphinx hiding in the middle of the pyramid, that blows up so you play game 2, but the sphinx doesn’t have any of the screws colors left over from the pyramid.

You will have left over screws of different colors in your four boxes when starting the sphinx, but that sphinx will not have the screw colors to fill up any of your boxes so you have to keep watching ads to be able to moves a few screws until you are done.

The last game is just a cash grab to make you watch ads.

Also the stars you collect when finishing each level, become useless after level 100 because the bonus islands are limited to only 4 so any stars are just sitting there being added as you keep playing but having no use to build anything and get rewards for it.

So this WAS my absolute favorite game to play until you made it start automatically rotating! Like why?? I get that it helps to see all the different moves or options but that’s the point of manually rotating it?!? So while I like this new addition somewhat I am not giving you a high rating because you cannot turn the rotation option on/off. You can only temporarily pause it which yes some people may or may like the option. I however would like the ability to turn the rotation option OFF please. Once that happens I will gladly give you a 5 star rating because this is the only game I really enjoy playing.

I have played level 152 three times. There are several problems with this level. There are not enough screws of the proper colors. I get to about 75% done and run out of screws. I wish I could attach a photo of this. I have 4 boxes to fill and no s tees to fill them. I watched several videos to clear the board and ran through the entire level and still cannot complete.

I love this game but give it a lower rating because every time the ad for a certain game comes up the screen freezes. I’ve started it over and, actually got to level 81 and the ad comes up. I payed for no ads but that never means NO ADS. I have the choice of paying for something you need, at least, once in each level. It makes a great game, to me, unplayable. It, also, shows inappropriate ads.

Fun game. But level 78 (the pyramid that is complained about in another review) is literally unbeatable. I have watched videos to clear EVERY pin from the field three times. Three times I’ve gotten every screw out and it still leaves me without filling the boxes Along with that A LOT of the levels have a problem with view. Where the pins are hidden behind the power ups Would like to keep playing. But currently stuck on level 78

I like this game and the last update fixed a lot of the bugs I was experiencing. However, I’ve reached the final level and used many bonuses in an attempt to pass it and removed all the screws but it didn’t fill the boxes and was impossible to pass. I think this is intentional as it is the last available level but it’s a big disappointment. I don’t mind waiting for more levels but I don’t like that the current final level is unable to pass

I was immediately hooked on this game, it’s very addictive. And, as with other kinds of addictions, as you get further into it, there are more “costs” - needing to pay for power-ups or watch countless ads. I’ve been playing obsessively for several days, but I’ve reached my limit. I get that the developers need to get people to pay, but I won’t, sorry not sorry. But forcing me to watch ad after ad, sometimes without even being able to make a productive move - nope, I’m done. It was fun while it lasted.

The ads that I get on here aren’t normal: I literally cannot click off them. This is only happening on this game. Whenever I’m on my ad and I’m about to hit the X button to get off of it, the pop up screen keeps on going up and sending me to ScrewAway Store to get it. This is really annoying, and no matter how many times I have attempted to get off the ad, it never lets me. After a split second of getting out of ScrewAway Store, the ad just sends me back. It doesn’t even give me time to touch the screen before forcing me back into ScrewAway Store. Other than that, the game is a blast. It is really enjoyable and a fun way to pass time. Idk if I am just ranting or what, but is there a way for this issue to be fixed?

This games is really fun to play besides all the ads. Your not timed your not going to fail it if you don’t finish many moves. Me and my girlfriend was playing this together and she made it to 152 before me and she couldn’t not beat it worth a dang. So today I finally made it to level 152 and I betted her a hundo that I can clear it. So basically y’all owe me 100$ because your last level has a bug!! And it can’t be us not being any good because I’ve read a lot of review saying the same thing. PLEASE FIX IT FOR ME AND EVERYONE SPECALLY SO I DONT HAVE TO OWE HER THE 100 😭😂

I do like this game, but unfortunately I’m only on level four with the shop and the little lady inside the shop and I’ve been stuck on this level for quite a few hours now and I am not able to make enough matches and there’s too many screws that are hidden behind other objects that make it hard for you to make matches

The very last level (level 152) is literally unbeatable even when you get rid of every screw it still says there’s some to collect. And everytime I’ve tried it says I’m only at 76% with no screws or pieces left, and that’s with getting every hole open and having to watch multiple videos because the colors it wants you to collect simply are nowhere to be found on this level.

I absolutely love this game and have been playing it nonstop since i downloaded it. My only issue is level 152. There is no way to complete it at this current point in time. It’s such a wonderful game and if there were more levels and if 152 could be fixed so it can be completed I would continue to play for a very long time

I greatly enjoyed this game. It has no forced ads while playing the levels (unless you count the levels designed to force you to watch an ad or use a powerup to complete it) and is generally a relaxing little puzzle game.

At time of writing, it has 152 levels with enough variety involved to not get stale. While I wouldn’t mind more levels, I actually appreciate being able to complete the game!

That being said, the last level, (152 the pyramid) is currently bugged and uncompleteable. Even if you grind out ads to force remove every item and leave a blank screen. It looks like there’s some screw boxes that it wants me to fill in colors that can’t be filled. I tried repeating the level a few times and got the same issue every time. Please fix that if you can so my inner completionist can be happy :)

Aside from that though, had a lot of fun with it! Thanks for making this!

Love this game. Mostly I’m writing to find out how to get past level 160. Also, to find out when you will update with more levels. I’d rate this game as a 5, but there is that one problem where the picture overlaps with other screen elements. Fix that, get me past 160 and make more puzzles - then I’ll give you a 10!

This is the second time I've played through the game, and was pleased to see so many new levels when I reinstalled it! I like the new balloon race and weekly quest as well.

Two things need to be fixed:
1) I'm unable to finish building my current island ("Swimming Party") despite having 819 stars to spend.
2) I'm not a fan of the new auto-rotate feature during levels. I prefer to keep one face of the structure facing me until I can get no more screws out, and then I rotate to the next face. I'd really appreciate an option to turn this feature off.

I just started this game and got to level 4 and it keeps shutting down! So it keeps starting over on level 4 so frustrating! Plz fix this so I can move on! I think if that’s fixed it will move up to 5 stars! Thank you..

This has become my go-to game. The one I usually open first and play the most. I love that you can watch adds to gain extra helps rather than be forced to pay for them. Also love that you can rotate it around.

One minor issue I’ve seen is that, sometimes, the help buttons at the bottom cover the screws and no matter how much you rotate the object, you can’t see them nor touch them and have to use the “break the glass” help to get around it. If that was fixed, this would be super awesome.
