Ghostery Privacy Ad Blocker Reviews

I’ve been trying for the past half hour to get GhosteryPrivacyAdBlocker to work but I just can’t. Whenever I go into an app like Crunchyroll I get the same amount of adds I normally do. I’ve done all the things it says you should do like update GhosteryPrivacyAdBlocker , make sure I have all the right setting and stuff like that it’s just that it won’t work. What I’m saying is this would be a great app but I can’t get it to work.

I’ve had Ghostery for well over a year now and it has worked great at blocking all trackers, ads, cookies, etc. I’ve noticed that it hasn’t been working as well lately and has been missing trackers and/or not working at all even though it’s enabled and I have to stop it and then re enable it to get it to work and sometimes even uninstall it and reinstall. Love GhosteryPrivacyAdBlocker but please look into this issue

I’ve been using this blocker on Firefox for some time, but hopped over to Safari when I upgraded my Mac.

There are things the Firefox plugin catches more consistently than the Safari version. But, for the most part, it works.

Acording to the EFF Cover Your Tracks tool, using a host of popular browsers including Brave, Firefox, etc. (iOS and on Win 11), the closest I have came to a non-unique score for fingerprinting has been on Safari with this extension. So far it has been working as intended as an ad blocker, and seemingly, fingerprint blocker! I love the stats page like on the desktop version to see what is being blocked, as well as an ongoing count of ads/trackers blocked.

Ghostery made the websites to run much better than the AdGuard. Easy to understand the Ghostery settings. I like the “Hide Distracting Items” feature. I like the setting on “The extension “Ghostery” would like to access (website)” by allowing on this specific website or deny it. I deny it on any accounts I have with like the bank. I allow access it on the news and other websites.

the animation showed a link in the downloaded app to direct to extention, this was not my case, i had to search in safari to find extention (im new to apple eco) but found it and selected my setting and all is good. not user friendly. However, Big Thanks and always appreciate Ghostery and hope you keepup the awesome work.

GhosteryPrivacyAdBlocker is a literal godsend I’m not joking. It actually works; I haven’t felt this happy in forever, pop-up ads make me so stressed and annoyed and honestly they’re enough to make me drop whatever it is I’m doing just so I don’t have to deal with them. Thank you to the developers I could literally cry with joy right now🙏
