A couple things to say

I’ve used this via computer for over 8 months now and I’ve haven’t gotten any scholarships, though the applications I’ve done are over 40 at least. This platform is seriously debatable in terms of giving aid. I can’t confidently say 80% of users win a scholarship, it’s very mixed. I received an email last month about two I applied announcing who won. Problem being the email never read along the lines of “Congrats you won” just “ 2 scholarships are announced” so it just teases you. The points system is kind of sad considering 3,000 is roughly close to 50 USD. This is advertised as to used as cash back or for loans but this realistically isn’t significantly helpful for loans. Having seen these two reviews deeply worsens my view in getting aid while dealing with the idea of college tuition.

Great app and everything, but…

Yet again I decided to keep Boldorg, but as far as I can see, this looks like a waist of time, somewhat. The only thing that Boldorg is missing is an identifiable identity of finding short surveys. I would rate this a 4-star, but based on performance and personal experience, I think that there is much more that Boldorg can give instead of giving “short surveys”. I hope the developers read this message carefully, as one wrong assumption can lead to a catastrophic downfall of Boldorg…

Came in clutch

I’ve been trying to get a scholarship through them for a while now, sometimes I give up because I’ve put in a lot of time to find the right scholarships (it’s very difficult if you’re between ages 25 and 45, almost no scholarships for us) but I’ve racked up a lot of points doing tasks and applying for scholarships which eventually you can redeem into money to go towards school or whatever you want and that’s been helpful at times I need a few extra dollars. I would like there to be more options for scholarships for all types of students, more cash back options, and maybe guidance available to find the right scholarships that are likely to be won? I feel like I’ve put in a lot of scholarships with absolutely no luck.

Was ok, now won’t let me pay off loan

The nice thing about Boldorg (or really, the card) is that if you are like me and have applied for a ton of scholarships on their site, you can get cashback (bad deal) or pay off student loans (def better) just from that
However, now it won’t let me pay off my student loans so what’s the point???? It’s a debit card that acts like a credit card in that it’s very limited in its capabilities but like a debit card bc rewards are subpar outside of that.
Nice UI but if it’s missing a lot of QOL features like ability to dispute charges, I would rather my other cards any day
(Also don’t try to pay off credit cards with it, you will get a fee from other card for bounced payment)

Okay But

My issues happened after using Boldorg for a week. The scholarship information is great and has helped me apply to many scholarships over the past few weeks. I am however upset by Boldorg for not letting me add a debit card for transferring money to the bold account. I am not sure if it is an error or what but it never adds the card once I enter the information and agree to terms of services. It also refused to let me add my Chime bank information. It is unfortunate that a great app for students has major flaws.

Great Banking and Scholarship Finder App!

I’ve submitted many scholarship applications from various websites, and Bold makes it by far easier to find and apply to as many available at once! The Daily Bold Points I earn are also helpful for building some spare cash here and there, while earning through Boldorg when connecting a bank account.
However, maybe making Bold Points easier to earn in other ways besides Daily Login to the site would be a beneficial improvement, so that it doesn’t feel like ‘pay to win’ for most scholarship opportunities-the many required paid trials, for instance, in order to earn more Bold Points.
Great experience overall, no other notes!

so grateful

I've submitted ~230 scholarship applications, and while I've only won one, I know I'm competing with a TON of people, so I understand! The debit card was super easy to set up--I'm happy to earn points as I make my purchases, haha! Hopefully Boldorg will let me apply to scholarships on it soon instead of having to use the site, but in the meantime, it's been great to keep track of my points and spending. When I've spent enough to earn some cash back, I can instantly get it. Also, dark mode would be cool.

Great Banking for Beginner Financial Training

I downloaded Boldorg to honestly have my first bank card my parents could not track and learn more about my personal finance habits; I achieved it and even brought my first move (to a new state) with this card! Awesome, I know but it has its downsides as it would help to have more cash back options than just 2 points per 1 dollar spent and truly more diversity with other brands out there but I love that regardless of its use the card has a look that has attracted a lot of people’s attention when I’m at airports, restaurants, or just around the city! I also love how you can use it mobile too, so you don’t have to worry about your card getting hacked or stolen! If I could add one thing to this card it would be a banking option where one could draw money from it without any fees applied but also I forgot to mention too: this card is perfect because when you win a scholarship you can have your money transferred to your card for university use and it only takes about 24 hours. So yeah, great for beginner use and learning yourself but there is always room for improvement!

Great option for students

I’ve been submitting scholarship applications with Bold for several years, but I just recently got off the debit card waitlist. So far it’s great! I earn points with every purchase and I can redeem the points I earn on the platform for cash back. My one complaint is that I tried to redeem my points for student loan payments which are supposed to be 1.5x more than regular cash back, but the payment would not go through. Not a huge deal though, I emailed the bold team and they were helpful in getting the points returned to my account.

Bold review

Honestly, the overall concept of Boldorg is great. To have the ability to use cash back to go towards my student loans is great! My only issue is really with just Boldorg . Often times the features will not load, causing Boldorg to crash and I would end up opening up bold on the website from my computer. It frequently asks me to restart my app, and sometimes won’t let transfers go through on Boldorg . Other than that I use it weekly and like the faster access to my bold account, if it were always fast

An app that wants you to succeed

I downloaded the bold app because it allows you to access your scholarship money more quickly than waiting several weeks for universities to apply it. This makes actually preparing ahead of time for school very helpful when it comes to needing books, laptop, programs, and so on.

Pros:
- quick access to funds
- able to link bank accounts to have everything in one place
- can add the bold card to digital wallet. There’s an option for a physical card as well
- account routing and checking and other bank details for bold is easy to find right on Boldorg . It gives me the whole info rather than just the last 4 digits like a lot of other places do. Saves time and is convenient.
- the whole interface is so user friendly, and I never have to guess where something is or how to make a transfer or anything else

Cons:
- something that could be improved is the ability to update personal info in Boldorg rather than on the full bold website

Also, some other improvements to think about might be including a personalized scholarship tracker where the user can see which ones apply directly to them. They could then have a goal-based scholarship plan/view where they get strategically recommended those scholarships, and where they could set the goal to something like “5k by March”. You could use a progress bar or have motivational badges when goals get met.

Great app for students, would recommend.

Helpful app

I really like the Bold app and the perks that it has as well. There’s always opportunities to get more points that you can use as cashback or for a student loan payment when you have the debit card. The card comes in handy and I just really like the layout of Boldorg . The only thing I’d say is to include the scholarships that are on the website so that you can look for them on Boldorg too

Scholarship Tracking at your fingertips

The Bold app makes it easy to track scholarships and manage my bold debit card in one place. It has a super clean design, quick balance checks, and helpful reminders for deadlines. I’d love to see more scholarships filters added. But the overall it makes budgeting for students who want to stay on top of their money and opportunities easier and accessible!

Absolutely in love with this app

I don’t feel like Boldorg is a money grab or something that was under developed and I do love how they are constantly asking advice for new features or what you might think about a current feature! The cashback reward is honestly insane, as well as the student loan reward, which is twice as insane! I believe my only downside with Boldorg would be the ability to dispute credit card or debit card charges easily.

Love the app

Ever since the new update finding how many points I have, pending transactions and the ability to transfer money has been easier than ever. I enjoy seeing how my purchases give points back, just a few dollars helps me pay for school things and loans. I enjoy the new format of Boldorg it’s much more accessible, if I had to point out a con, it would be a more frequent update in points pending.

Very Useful

I received a scholarship and was able to revive the scholarship via the Bold Debit Card. I was a little hesitant at first because I didt see how the website would secure my original banking information but has been proved to be very useful. I really enjoy Boldorg when it tells me how much I have in my account. However, it does remind me often how much points I missed out on, which can be useful but can be annoying at times. Still a good app tho! Would recommend! The physical card is cute to.

Honest Review

I downloaded Boldorg to access unique scholarships catered to my interests and I don’t regret it for a second. It has great filters to find matches for you and it is good at narrowing down scholarships to fit your interests and desires. I wish it had an option to remove unwanted scholarships from showing up to you such as an ignore button or something like that. I enjoy how you can earn more points from simple tasks and that it increased your chances of winning scholarships. It is overall a great app.

Helpful and user friendly scholarship app

I downloaded Boldorg as part of the process to claim a scholarship. It ended up making it a lot easier to keep track of scholarships I could apply to, what I had applied to, as well as where my scholarship funds were going. I like Boldorg because unlike looking for scholarships on my web browsers where there are countless ads and glitchy scrolling. I honestly can’t think of any improvements to Boldorg , except maybe it would be cool to have a messaging feature where applicants can message donors.

Seems too good to be true, but is amazing!

My friend invited me to join Bold and I was hesitant at first, but after using the platform I began to really enjoy it. I started off applying for scholarships and then I kept seeing the Bold Debit card. I was skeptical, but this platform is legit and as easy at it seems. Boldorg is amazing for monitoring your spending because everything is right in front of you. I haven’t used it for long, but I love it so far. I didn’t want to directly connect my bank account and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to use my card unless I did, but I was able to connect Venmo to transfer money which made me super happy. It is so easy to use Boldorg and I do not regret downloading it in the slightest.

Hidden Gem

Finally a website that actually has real scholarships. It’s not a scam at all. I’m living proof, because I won a scholarship! Their website is easy to navigate and find scholarships that are catered to you, and they give you numerous opportunities to receive points to receive as cash back. Their card is also amazing. I love the interface! So sleek and simple. 10/10 would recommend.
