Way too many ads.

At first I avoided joining the chorus of folks objecting to the new update (3.7). Even with the changes, which I didn't much like, I could still switch to endless mode and play the game exactly as it was before: simply merging fruits *with cute faces* and trying to beat my high score.

Then they updated it again yesterday (3.8), AND THE FACES WERE REMOVED from endless mode 😭😭😭! Please bring back the cute faces. It was one of my favorite parts of the game 🥹.

Thankfully my old iPad doesn't auto-update so I still have the better version somewhere. However I am compelled to delete it from my phone until the faces return. There are many similar fruit merge games out there with faces, so the change will ultimately lose players to competing apps. Hopefully the developers will realize this and bring the faces back.

This game is adorable and wholesome. My daughter saw it and wanted it. The ads that kept popping up were not appropriate for kids though. Everything from depicting a homeless family to a man kicking a child were in the ads. I understand they need to be there to make money but there needs to be a way to filter them. I would pay money up front for this game with no ads. No other changes would need to be made. I just want a pay option for no ads. Nobody needs to see the violence and adultery in the ads when playing a wholesome, cute game. If an option to pay for ad free comes up, I will buy it. Until then, I’m uninstalling it.

My 7 year old wanted to play this and it looked fun to play so I downloaded it. I know these games come with ads and I was just like okay, whatever you just have to wait 15-30 seconds to play every so often. Then later when I was playing for him to help him get to the watermelon, it kept playing hook up site ads and transgender hookup ads. Because we liked the game I looked to see if I can make a purchase to get rid of the ads, well, you can’t. So I have to delete this game because I don’t want any inappropriate ads for my 7 year old or 4 year olds when they play.

I’m really disappointed about this cause I don’t pay for games but I was willing but as it was also teaching him strategy. 😢

Ok, sadly I cannot say I am an og, I stumbled across this game in an ad and got addicted so I downloaded it! It was super fun and relaxing and once I let my uncle play he also soon got addicted as did my sister and mom. This became a very fun activity for all of us! We love surpassing each other’s high scores and sharing our progress! BUT, I went into the game today and it had all changed!!!!! I want to cry. I don’t want to build a farm! Or have watermelon cats! I just want to drop and merge my fruit! I don’t even care about the ads! I just loved the game but I didn’t even have a choice on if I got to update like my sister! please rerelease the original! I just want the watermelon game back!! My final statement, why? Why would you do this to us!
Update: I have not yet deleted in hopes that with the rating going down this far they will change it back but I refuse to play the new version until it’s back to the old one!
Hint hint: CHANGE IT BACK

I saw an ad got this game and it looked fun, so I gave it a try. It feels like for every minute of gameplay, there are 30 seconds of ads. An add will pop up right when you make a move and the fruit is in midair. It makes it absolutely impossible to enjoy because you get on a roll and here’s yet another ad. I understand ads help pay for content, I play a few games with much better ad placement (that’s how I ended up with this game), but constantly interrupting gameplay mid move will make me delete this game.

Oh, and another note about ads… I should only have to click once to make it go away, not click the X three times on three different screens and get sent to a download screen. Like I said, I don’t mind ads, but when they are obtrusive, I get frustrated and will delete the game.

It feels like an entire new game was installed on my phone. I quite enjoyed the gimmick that you needed to be careful where you dropped the fruit so it would merge when connected. Now that you just drag it across the screen, all the appeal is lost. There is so much that is dropped in the beginning of the level that once everything merges, I can take up to 5 to 10 moves and clear it. It’s so easy that it isn’t even fun…

The power ups are much needed, as is the ability to pay for no ads, but there is no use for the power ups if everything can be cleared without having to do hardly anything. If there were an endless mode, like what the game was literally 24 hours ago as I write this, then it would have been a welcome change.

The building story mode thing is cute, but it could have been implemented much better. If it was left as it was, with the individual challenges per level being to create the certain fruits, that would have made more sense. But nope! Just completely change the game. Makes it too easy

**Overloaded with Ads, Ruins the Experience**

I was excited to try this game, but the sheer amount of ads makes it nearly unplayable. The constant interruptions stop the game at random points, breaking any sense of flow or enjoyment. On top of that, if you like listening to music or podcasts while playing, forget it! The ads not only pop up frequently but also stop whatever you're listening to in the background, forcing you to restart your music each time. Plus, there's a constant banner of ads running at the bottom of the screen that no one looks at, but it still manages to be distracting by stopping whatever is playing in the background, It feels more like an app for watching ads than actually playing a game. If you value an uninterrupted experience, this one’s not for you.

Downloaded this game because it was an ad in a different game. Had fun with the demo part of the ad so I was like let’s check it out. Couldn’t get through the first level because the game forces you take a break mid game and watch a 20-30 second ad. This happened 3 times in the first level. Immediately uninstalled and left this review to let others know to not install unless you love to watch ads that interrupts your play! I understand ads pay the developers, but don’t force your player base to watch them, make a reward system for watching the ads.

Found this game through an ad from another game so I downloaded it since the graphic design is cute. Oh boy, was I wrong…. There was an ad in the middle of the game (nope, not when the round is over like usual). In the middle of the game, the screen would count down 5 seconds before the start of an ad, but at least they are nice enough to show us a count down before starting the ad that lasted a million years? And there’s no timer on each round, so doesn’t matter if the ad runs about every minute? You be the judge…

Although the constant ads were annoying, the game was at least still fun in its simplicity. Cute little fruit smiling away as you dropped them to merge into other fruit, with the goal of making the watermelon disappear before it piled up to the top. Now you’ve taken away the cute little faces and changed the entire gameplay into an overly easy drag and match game where you have to build a farm. No one wanted this. I’ll be deleting FruitMerge .

This game would be fun, but it is loaded with adds. Every two minutes you are forced to stop playing and watch an add. Then some of the adds literally freeze the game up so you have to close and reopen the game in order to start it back up. Not worth the constant stoping.

This is TRULY UNBEARABLE. This game WOULD BE FUN if you could actually play ONE GAME without ads interrupting you about every minute. It’s GREED AND MISMANAGEMENT IN ONE FELL SWOOP. I tolerate ads in other games - but ones that cut you off - LITERALLY MID FRUIT DROP for ads is ENOUGH. I AM DELETING YOU ONCE AND FOR ALL. You cut off your nose to spite your face and now you have no money and no nose. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb move developers. 👎🏻👎🏻

I played this for so little time because more than half the game is ads. It cuts to an ad partway through levels for no reason, and then when you lose the game it’s another ad. And the ads were glitchy, they would restart immediately after finishing so I had to quit FruitMerge and restart to get out of the ad. On top of all that it felt like the fruit would not budge after it landed and in the demo it would shift enough to merge with something else in the right circumstances but in the actual game that was extremely rare.

Deleting FruitMerge. I played it for the first time and I played for maybe 1-2 minutes and an ad popped up mid game. So I got through that ad then I play for a minute or two and it says, “take a break” and goes to another ad. Like what? How can I need a break after playing the game for the first time at a total of 4 minutes. By the time I had finished my first time playing, one round, I had seen at least 6 ads. Even when I finished the game as I was looking at my score, BAM! Another ad. Ridiculous.

It’s a cool game sure. But you literally get stepped every 15 seconds for an ad. Then if you turn off your phone and turn it back on to play there’s another ad. Check the time on your phone by clicking out of FruitMerge for a second? Ad. Then added to those is the “take a break” ads that pop up every minute. If you level up to a higher fruit than before you watch another ad. You can’t even watch ads on purpose to do special things. You just get bombarded by useless ads every few seconds that don’t help you at all and don’t go with the game. Terrible

Seriously, you can’t play for more than a couple of minutes before it makes you pause to watch an ad. You can’t even switch off the screen to check a notification on your phone without having to watch another ad, even if it’s 10 seconds after the last ad finished! Had ads freeze too, forcing me to restart the game - and watch another ad, of course. It was a fun game, but the ads make it virtually unplayable! Didn’t really have any choice but to delete it

There’s an ad to start the game and it interrupts every 2 minutes with another ad, the kind you have to click through multiple windows to get through, hidden Xs to close, layers of pop-ups, etc.

Constant interruptions. Feels like you spend as much time clicking through ads as you do playing the actual game. Completely destroys playability.

Should also note this game is a ripoff of a Nintendo/Aladdin game called Suika (the Japanese word for watermelon) that’s available in FruitMerge Store for $2.99. No ads on that one.

I can’t tolerate a game that forces me to watch ads when it wants me to. That calls for an immediate removal of the game. Immediate. Why don’t developers understand this? Everyone hates the push ads. I play plenty of games that have ads but it’s my choice when to watch, and I get something game-related for it, so it’s worth it to me. And I have paid plenty of real money for in-game bonuses. So there are better ways for devs to earn money. This might have been a fun game, but I’ll never know.

This would be a fun time-passer but not for all the ads! It’s every few minutes during game play. I get it, developers need the ads to be able to have the game but you are in the middle of it and ‘take a break’ pops up with yet another ad, it just frustrates me so I just found myself closing the game and going to something else. There is a better drop game I already found that doesn’t run ads during game play. It’s looks much like this one just maybe not as refined with the graphics but the fruit doesn’t look as angry either lol. I’m deleting this one. I’d rather go have uninterrupted game play.

I’m usually super patient when playing games with ads but the amount of ads in this game is ridiculous!! Literally the WORST! Every few seconds, ads on ads on ads! I barely get time to play the game at all. I’ll make a couple moves, then boom, AD! Sometimes even after I just watched one, I’ll play ONE move then immediately another ad pops up. On top of that, this game definitely cheats cause fruits will be sitting right on top of each other and won’t merge. I deleted FruitMerge and downloaded a way better version with barely any ads and doesn’t cheat!! This game definitely needs to make some changes.

This game would be fun if they didn’t load it up the wag zoo with ads after ads. I kid you not. If you take more than 5 seconds to make a move it will load an ad. It is not worth the infuriation of trying to drop a piece just to have an ad appear as you release or going to place a piece and accidentally placing a hidden ad.

I had the highest score after 2 games and now I know why. Everyone deletes after the first game because of bugs and the barrage of ads. Don’t even try to merge the bigger fruit either. It’s bugged so that they never merge even if on top of each other and the “earned” hammers are also a joke. Anytime you click on them they just give you … you guessed it, another ad. Ughhh such a bad game.

It’s so weird to have such a kid looking game be rated 17+

If a parent didn’t set up phone to block 17+ games and just saw the way the game looked, then might let their kid play.
I’m an adult women, but suddenly I got an add where a women flashes me. Then, I tried to block that add (just cuz I think it’s sketchy - I don’t know if that woman is safe) which I guess made FruitMerge think I’m interested.

Now, the game is pretty fun, but now every 4 minutes I get adds for chat apps and women exploiting themselves. I don’t know if all these girls are willing participants (as this is the not the case always), so it’s just disturbing. I can’t play this game now without that, so deleting it now.

Now, I know why a kid kinda game can be 17+
Just weird because it’s one thing to search this content, but to have such an innocent game lead to those games is not cool in my mind. No matter the rating.

I’ll definitely be careful with games when I have kids

This game is very fun and helps me pass time but there are way to many ads. Every time you open the game there is an ad. What feels like every 2-3 minutes playing there is an ad. If you lose the round you have the option to watch an ad to keep going but even if you chose not to, another ad. It kind of ruins the game and I’ll probably uninstall. There is an option to buy no ad version which I might be interested in if it wasn’t so obvious that the developers are willing to ruin the game and almost force you to buy add free just to play. the actual game is almost unplayable and basically just a big ad. If you decide to download just know you will probably spend more time watching ads than playing. I’m gonna try to find a replacement game that’s the same concept, less ads.

So I honestly love this game. I play this game all the time. Some might say I’m addicted. But I just wanted to warn parents that the ads that pop up aren’t filtered so if your child plays this you risk them seeing cartoon depictions of sex and real-life women flashing. I used to procrastinate at work playing this but now I have to confine my fruit merge time to the comfort of my own home. I won’t stop playing it because I’m 23 and can handle it but don’t let your kids play this!

Note to developers: I’d pay you upwards to 5 full dollars to have this game without the “ad breaks” but I don’t see that option. The incessant “take a break” interruptions are excruciating. And all the ads are for scam-ridden solitaire clones. Some of these ads are broken by the way which requires a hard shut down of FruitMerge . Fortunately this doesn’t lose your progress.

Pro tip for players: when an ad break is prompted, simply swipe FruitMerge up to close it. Then reopen FruitMerge and you’ll start back where you were. This is quicker and less buggy than waiting for the stupid ad to play through.

Also, maybe burying the lead here, I merged two watermelons this morning. You know what you get when you merge two watermelons? Nothing. They disappear and you’re left with a handful of small fruits at the bottom of the board. How about a pumpkin? How about a reason to keep going?

Nah…given that I essentially 100%’d the game and the add interruptions, I deleted it.

You’re better off just not downloading. Go play 2048. Or read a book. Watch a documentary. Just stay away from the zombification of false-promise phone apps.

I kept playing a sample version of this game in an advertisement on another app. It was so cute, and I kept playing the ad for longer than I would play the other game. I finally downloaded, knowing the actual game would likely be a little different from the sample game. It was, in the animations a bit, but still the same gist/idea of the game, so I wasn’t that disappointed. Until, of course, I realize they make you “take a break” with an ad every 2.5 minutes of play. There’s no option to skip the ads, and no option to purchase the game without ads. So, despite it being a very fun game to play to pass the time, you end up spending the majority of your time on the game “taking breaks” by watching ads, and I absolutely loathe it.

I really loved playing this game while it lasted. Sadly though, the ads keep you from being able to actually play the game. It is truly amazing just how many ads you are forced into with this game! Not only are they between levels, but you have to “take a break” and watch an ad mid game. If that isn’t enough, any time you get a text message and have to switch between screens you cannot come back to the game without watching another ad! I could play this game for hours because of how fun it is but now I am deleting it because of the amount of time I am spending fighting the ads! I would gladly pay for a version that would bypass all the darn ads but that isn’t an option. They really need to fix the ridiculous amounts of ads or offer a paid version with no ads. Sad to see this one go!

This game had quickly become my favorite. So many games these days are overstimulating, with too many features, pop ups to spend money on power ups, and too many “side quests.” No simple games seemed to exist anymore, but this one did! You get to play a little game and try to beat your high score. Ads were tolerable frequency. Now, though. Now when I open FruitMerge I have to construct farm buildings, refuse power ups, ignore paid power up ads at every turn, and every. Single. Time. I return to FruitMerge after answering a text/email/snapchat/etc, it plays an ad. Even in the MENU screen. I’ve watched 5 ads so far today and only gotten 3 fruits into the game. This is not a simple fun game anymore, and I am so frustrated because it was my favorite. Can you maybe release the simple version again under a new name? Or a paid “simple version” with no ads or quests for $1?

I love the game, but….

At first each item you drop has weight and drops while seeking a natural path down. But as the game goes on, the rules change and the items float rather than fall. That’s not bad if that’s all that happens. It is not. Eventually, rather than the pieces that I drop falls naturally, instead it will repel away from the targeted merge and even roll uphill to move away.

So since there are no rules to count upon, it appears I am not engaged in a fun game of skill, but I am actually competing against an AI that bends the rules. I did not sign up for a competition. I signed up to relax.

super fun game, i like it a lot… but WAY too many ads. like i should not be interrupted in the middle of games, before and after each round, and if i leave FruitMerge to visit another app and come back by ads. literally insane.

Like most other reviews, you get ads like every 6 or 7 moves. It’s beyond annoying. There isn’t an option to remove them. So I came to FruitMerge Store to find a similar game without a million ads.
The game is fun and cute. The graphics I like. Just wish the ads could be removed.
Oh well on to the competition.

there are already a ton of reviews addressing the same issue, but i’ll add on to the pile anyways in hopes that the devs will eventually remove at least SOME of the incessant ads. i timed them during my gameplay and an ad pops up every 2 and a half minutes. yeesh.

i can get behind ads in between games, or ads for using more power-ups (i think you’re only given 1 for free? not sure because i never used them) but yeah it’s incredibly annoying how much it disrupts the gameplay. 2 stars cuz it’s fun when you actually get to play and the fruits are cute.

So I actually saw and played a lot of ads about this game, which is what got me to play it. A lot of the reviews are about the numbers of ads and frequency, which are all relevant and true. But I actually have a complaint that just makes the game unplayable for me. The way the fruit interact make no sense. There is no reason that fruit that should merge don’t merge, and instead bump each other to the other side of the screen or be stacked on top of the other. It was so frustrating to lose because my board was mostly filled with two dragonfruit that were stacked on each other and refused to merge. Overall terrible game, I’m only giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it is a fun concept.

Idea of the game is fine and fun, but it’s just poorly designed. The sizes increases are not proportional and so even when you combine fruits, they still block the game and will not touch each other. It’s inherently not really possible to win this game beyond extreme luck. The controls also have a flaw. After a shot, it keeps the next show lined up at the same spot, however, firing a shot without re-aiming will reset and drop it in the middle even thought that’s not where it was aiming when you dropped it.

I actually enjoy the simplicity of the game and find myself getting into a good flow while playing. Unfortunately, they place frequent ads DURING regular game play rather than waiting to offer them ONLY when you get stuck or are at risk of losing (like when the fruit overflows the top line). For this reason, I DO NOT recommend you play unless you have a lot of time on your hands to wait through the frequently placed ads. I hope the developers read this review and consider placing their ads at times that don’t interrupt the flow of the game. They want happy not angry consumers.

The game itself is fun but there are too many ads. The point of ads is to keep the game free. I understand this. But there’s an ad banner during gameplay (totally fine) so the constant interruptions just take away from the game. It’s about every 40 seconds, the game is interrupted by an ad - causing issues with gameplay. It’s super annoying and frustrating. If this is fixed, it would be a 5 star game. But because it’s almost unplayable due to the excessive ads, I’m considering just deleting it. There are other match/merge games that don’t have this problem.

In one session I had four ads during the game. “Take a break” interrupts the game between drops. I can accept ads between games but to stop a game four times during a single round is ridiculous. The game is OK, but definitely not worth the hassle.
You can put your device into Airplane Mode to eliminate most ads.
There is also a particularly obnoxious ad for a Solitaire game that purportedly pays you to play. All I can say is that If you believe that story there is a bridge in Brooklyn that a friend of mine is willing to sell at a bargain.

I saw this on an ad for another game, and I immediately enjoyed the concept. It’s like a cuter version of DropTheNumber, which is my favorite “don’t have to think too much” game.

However, there are FAR too many ads (seems like one every couple of mins or so), and they interrupt the game sometimes in the middle of an action. Also, the Solitaire ad in particular freezes you out of the game every other time it plays, forcing you to close and refresh FruitMerge .

There is no way to upgrade to an ad-free version, so I’m going to probably stop playing this one.

I had paid for tickets and suddenly there are no tickets. They have even removed all the actions you could use tickets to do. Without the actions, the game is boring and basically impossible. Really weird choice, game developers. People were paying you money for those features and now nothing.

It seems to have received an update, although here in the Apple Store it prevents me from updating. Previously it was fluid and with some ads, now it is much more frequent and it gets stuck and does not let you put the fruit in the selected place until the ad plays. I hope it does not become like other games that have so many ads that you have to uninstall them.

Ads every minute are little annoying at first. It’s ridiculous once you start getting bored at this simple game. The “x” boxes to get out of the ads are to small and you’ll open websites a few time extending each ad. If you need to skip out of the game for a sec or by accident, there is an ad you’ll need to wait for upon return. It will also take over your audio, so Pandora ( for example) will need to be restarted once you start this game, which works till… the next add.

I would love to support this game but I will never spend money for a game that does not honor my settings with their advertising. I gave all sounds and haptics off as I listen to an audio book while playing. Or at least that was my intent. The fame makes the player “take a break” every few minutes to watch an advertisement and it doesn’t matter that I’ve chosen to turn off the sounds. It turns them on fir the ads! That’s ridiculous! I don’t mind watching and interacting with the videos that play. I should not have to have sound barrage my senses when I’ve turned it off. So nope no support not even usage! I will delete too mad you choose a predatory sort of advertising. The game is great. The people running it are not.

This game was entertaining until they started making small changes to it. I guess they want you to get sucked in and then a couple small changes happened and you lose more and if you get sidetracked with responsibilities and you end up losing the progress that you made.

I recently downloaded this game and have been enjoying playing as it is great when you have time to kill but recently I’ve noticed an insane amount of ads. About every 2 to 3 minutes and add is on the screen you’ll be in the middle of a round and something saying, take a break, pops up on the screen and you’re watching an ad. I understand if I failed to pass a round and had to view an ad before retrying. But that’s not the case.

This is a fun game but there’s way too many ads. I shouldn’t be interrupted during my game multiple times by a ad this whole taking a break thing lol it I want to take a break I’d go do something else. Then not only are there ads multiple times during the game but there’s ads to continue the game if you missed up there’s ads even when you don’t continue the game and ads when you start a new game. Maybe if they do something about these ads I’d go back to playing it

The graphics are cute & the actual gameplay was like the mini-game/ad I tried.
But as another reviewer mentioned, the ads are VERY frequent (more so than most mobile games like this). Think about every 90 seconds to 2 minutes. You can’t skip or even mute the ads. And I couldn’t play a podcast or audiobook in the background without triggering another ad. I actually deleted the game because the unstoppable ads were that relentless!

I love this game! The fruit designs and concept is so cute and fun, very similar to 2048; however, the amount of ads is ridiculous. Most games the ads come after you lose/ win the game… in this game, the ads play every 4 fruits you play and take forever before giving you the option to skip. If you download this game, you must really like ads and interruptions. Downloading this game is signing up for an app to watch ads instead of playing.

Okay the game is amazing! I love the fruits 🩷! It’s fun but there is something I will delete the game for…ADS. It’s understandable to lose and get an ad, but every 2 minutes?!?! I truly will delete FruitMerge if it continues! Honestly it’s greedy!! Come on!! Every 2 minutes?!? 🤯 why? I can’t play peacefully! I understand the ads give the developer money, but what about when you lose you get and ad? That’s understandable!! But every 2 minutes? That’s greedy!

Don’t waste your time, unless you enjoy watching ads. I really wanted to like this game. It has potential to be fun. I understand free games get their revenue from advertising - BUT - to be mid play (literally the fruit is falling) and have ads cut in is ridiculous. To have ads cut in every time I reached a new fruit is annoying. To be forced to take an “ad break” after minutes of playing is infuriating. I completed one game and uninstalled. My anxiety shouldn’t go UP while playing a game marketed as relaxing.

Someone said they got an ad every 2 and a half minutes.. boy were they lucky! I was getting them every 45 seconds (but you can close them after about 15 seconds by tapping on your screen). I was unable to finish a level with less than 8 ad interruptions. Which really mess up your game because they but in even in the middle of dropping fruit.

Well, if you’re not doing anything important, waiting for any important calls, or need your phones data/wifi service for any reason simply close the game and slip in to airplane mode and ads are gone. The developer does not offer an option to purchase ads free and it’s unplayable with the number of ads, otherwise I wouldn’t suggest this. You’re welcome

This is an app where you get to watch tons of ads and then occasionally you are rewarded with playing a game for a few minutes before it interrupts you again. Don’t worry, though, you can get right back into the ads because it puts stuff all over the screen so that you accidentally touch it and go into another ad. To be fair, when the rare occasion happens where you actually get to play the game, it’s pretty fun. now that I finally merged two watermelons, I will be deleting FruitMerge . just not worth it to spend so much time waiting to play.

I understand the need for ads and I’m usually ok with them but this game has them right in the middle of the gameplay. Not just once but multiple times and it takes away the joy and momentum of the game. Ads between games would be fine but having ads interrupting 3-4 times during one game is ridiculous.

I’ve been playing this game for a while and decided to put a timer on because of the amount of ads that will come up so often. Literally, about every 2 minutes and 30 seconds an ad takes over the screen. This doesn’t include the ad that comes up when you pull down your notification bar and put it back up. It’s an entertaining game. I like it, but the ads are way too much and idk how long I’m gonna keep playing this game until I’m tired of them coming up every 2 minutes.

Absolutely adorable game that I enjoy playing very much, but the amount of ads it shows is a little ridiculous. I don’t mind an ad if you fail a level or finish it, but as I’m getting to it that’s too much. Mind you, this is only after about two minutes of playing, it says “take a break” and shows an ad. I could see after 10 minutes straight, but not what seems like every 2. This is a game I would definitely pay to get rid of the ads, and gladly!, but there is no option for it. If you have time to kill, great game if you don’t mind ads; if you’re trying to get as far as you can in a limited time frame, this game might get frustrating real quick. Otherwise it’s an adorable time killer.

So I was a little hooked on this game, I really liked the simplicity. They added a childish “storyline” with terrible graphics, so I guess they only want 5 year olds to play it. I do like the addition of boosts, but it really takes away from the simplicity of the original.

Fruit falls slower, merge animation lengthened, art style is a somewhat clunkier in appearance, the box for the fruit is smaller, the screen feels cluttered with the addition of all the new game features/icons, and there’s an ad banner at the bottom of the screen… the game already had plenty of ads which was fine bc it’s a free game. But now it’s all just too much, imo; the previous simplicity was the main “selling” point for me. I can see how the changes were/are to expand the game playability, player-base & thus overall revenue, so I don’t begrudge the company I suppose - but continuing to play I shan’t, as it’s overall no longer a relaxing experience. 🤷‍♀️

You can only go so far. The fruit gets too big and there is no way to fit new fruit. Once you get to watermelon the watermelon should disappear so you can continue.

First off there’s no option to remove ads of which there are way too many. Secondly it would be enjoyable if there were some kind of boosters/bonuses you can acquire through game play. Cute and fun, would be very relaxing if playing wasn’t interrupted by ads every ten seconds.

As I state in the title, the game itself is easing in a way for me, just to take your mind off of things. I downloaded the game due to how much I liked playing the add. The target audience for this game though would definitely be young children, as it has a very basic concept. I don’t enjoy having adds but I understand the purpose of why this game must have them. I believe there is no paid for rewards in this game so therefore they are payed to advertise other games. Hope this helps!

I enjoy this game. I wish you could move your phone to gently tip the fruits to merge with each other sometimes. But unfortunately, the constant irritating ads are really getting on my nerves. It seems like every minute you have to stop to watch something. And there’s no option for a like five dollar one time fee paid game. Which I would definitely pay if it would make the ads disappear forever. Also, if you could pay for boosters to occasionally delete a fruit or something, that would also be a way to generate money without having extremely annoying repetitive ads.

When I started playing, there was no option to remove ads. Then an update to pay to remove-yay! Also loved the boosters! Now…. No boosters? Collecting mallets to make a fruit-cat farm scene? No thank you. Give people the option to pay for no ads and bring back the boosters! And let the mallets give you boosters. No one cares about building those stupid scenes.

I get every app needs to make their money somehow, but randomly throwing an ad in the middle of the game every 2 minutes is overkill. on top of that, most features are power ups that I want to use, I can’t even use because I have to watch an ad to access them, and then before the end, it freezes. Then I have to refresh the ad and it defeats the whole purpose of me watching the ad because the same thing will happen more than once. The game is fun and it’s good for killing time, especially if there’s no Wi-Fi around, but it also reeks of desperation for money

So it’s okay like it’s like the other game I recommend but this is worse. Only giving 3 stars cause the actual game play is fun, but there are way too many adds. And half of the time the adds freeze and I have to turn off FruitMerge . I usually turn off WiFi so it stops bugging me. If it was just one before or after a round that’s okay but they do it right in the middle of rounds. And that also means that I can’t get those boost things (get rid of all tiny fruits, shake the box, etc) cause it freezes. Me, my mum, and my sister play this and it gets annoying real quick. Just about every top comment is also complaining abt this. Pls fix it

The game is as advertised however could use some improvement. I would love the pay option to opt out of ads. Also could use with some booster options as you only have one chance to save a losing game by watching an ad. Also and most importantly, the programming of the game is a bit flawed. Sometimes fruit does not merge especially if they are two large ones that would make a big difference in your favor. The programming of the falling fruit could be more clever as it’s very obvious that they will not send ones you need when you’re in either situation of losing badly or doing very well. It doesn’t give at least the appearance that you have the chance to advance bc of these stacked odds. I think you probably lose a lot of users bc of this.

Honestly, the ads aren’t too bad. I think at this point we all know what to expect from a free app. My biggest problem is the merging mechanic. I will often have two of the same fruit touching but won’t merge. Even after some jostling adding more fruit to the board, it doesn’t matter. If this was more reliable, I’d find the game more enjoyable. May be better off to find a similar app that’s more “player friendly.”

But then all these silly updates started happening and now it never saves my progress. I’ll be up to 20k and then it just erases it all and only keeps a record of my last before I raked in that score. I’m stuck at 8k and the game just won’t let me progress. Such a buzz kill. Not to mention all the adds I’m forced to watch. It’s way too much for this sh it to happen. There should be a physical pause/continue feature, that bloody works, if the game will no longer do it on its own.

Oh and the drag to merge fruits is terribly dumb. If you want to add something else to an already mundane game that isn’t it. The hammer bit is odd but if it must stay let us select the background we want to keep not the last to be completed or pending to be.

The shake feature really needs to be a real baby shaking kinda shake. At the moment it’s a gentle tilt that barely nudges larger items.

I really like this game it’s relaxing which is why I bought it because the free version has so many ads it becomes frustrating. You earn hammers to fix things in these chapters but I finished all the chapters in day 1 of playing because there is only 5 chapters! Now I have 200 hammers and nothing to fix! Make more chapters please!

The game is fun and the art style is cute but the ads ruin it. Also, the mechanic on the home screen where you cash in those hammers for story progression takes sooo long it’s not even worth doing. That process needs streamlined, i dont even bother doing it despite the rewards it unlocks because it’s too slow.

I downloaded this game after seeing it from an ad on another game. The ads were really annoying, so I paid to remove them. Then, a few days later a software update occurred and the boosters are gone? What?? Why would you remove those? Those are what made the game fun! Bring back the boosters!!

I like the concept of this game, but the company that made it made the game extremely frustrating. To clarify, the game itself is not frustrating. It is the ads. Yes, a mobile game averagly has ads, I am not displeased with that it is the fact of how many there are. Once you play the game, it is fun. But you normally only get thirty seconds, to one minute of gameplay before you get an "ad break" which are thirty second ads normally which is very annoying and frustrating. The cycle repeats until you lose the game. The game deserves a 2.5, but that is not in the rating system so I rated it three. I'm making this short so anyone reading it won't have to read for too long.

I know it’s just a game, but this isn’t consistent. You can drop a large fruit and it does nothing, then drop a tiny berry and the whole pile jumps, or the berry will jump or fall. It conveniently happens when you’re building a strategy. The game knows when you’re building, and the physics will change to deter your ability to build. Just frustrating, because you know the game won’t allow you to use the logic of physics. Also, so many ads. Every 3 minutes another 15 second ad. Yes it’s somewhat fun, but it sure defeats the purpose of strategizing.

The game is cute, I love it and it's very fun but the amount of ads is extremely annoying and ruins the enjoyment of the game: I was going to give it two stars but I feel like it deserves three because if it wasn't for the amount of ads it would be a five star game in my opinion. I really hope developers take this into consideration and cut back on the ads a bit, not saying no ads at all but making them a lot less frequent. I really do want to play this game and enjoy it but until the ad situation is fixed I don't think I'll be able to.

This game is a great game in general, but there are some ads and I’m not trying to be rude but the creators of this game or updaters or whoever could maybe try to cut back on the ad a little bit .I was playing levels and it was a really fun game at all then all of a sudden there are all of these ads. I still enjoy the game and I probably would not delete it if I had to delete a mobile game, but the ads are a little much for my case I was in the middle of a level and an ad popped up and I was like well OK that’s normal cause that’s how companies make money and then after that I almost died so it was like another ad to just keep me going and I wasn’t mad at that point, but then it kept giving me ads and ads and ads all over again so this game all in all is a great game but be prepared for some ads.

Bought the game because the ads were annoying but the gameplay is fun, so you got me there!

The physics engine really makes it challenging and it’s easy to make unwanted piles really quick, but once you get the right merge, it’s really satisfying.

Don’t know why the power ups were taken away, just when I’m really getting the hang of it. The power ups would really help get you farther, especially when the smaller fruits get trapped and have no hope of merging.

You get used to the adds and most are playable. Recently after one of the adds for a game where you unknot a rope puzzle it gets stuck and keeps sending you to FruitMerge Store. It won’t let you close out of the add because each click sends you on a loop to FruitMerge Store. So you have to close out FruitMerge completely and you loose your progress and shows you an end screen from a round you never played.

This game is exactly what mobile games should be. It’s not too complicated (almost was for a minute there, but we’re so back) but it still is challenging. It’s almost like 2048 but different and cute.

Would love a feature to change the color theme, possibly change what fruit/veggie there is to match with the season or something.

I really like this game, it’s addicting. I just don’t understand how you advance past watermelon. I never really got that far but I don’t see any hints or anything helpful. Also, can you add your profile or player name? It would be fun to see how you do against other players without going through all the steps there are now.

The game in a fun distraction from everything else. The only problem is the ads and the Take a Break. Though I get the concept it should be the choice of the player. I would easily pay $0.99-$1.99 to remove all ads and the take a break portion of this game. I really hope the Devs pay attention to this as I am not the only one that’s complaining about the ads.

Amazing game ! Just like the ads show, not many ads if so a good time part … you can get HUGE fruit in just 5 minutes! No bugs which is great , In 5 seconds I got a dragon fruit.. which I thought was pretty cool ( sense I’m new to the game ) .. you need to try this game for yourself!!! It distracts you from everything ( in good way)) but I think you would like, enjoy,LOVE and etc this game . If your looking for something new you’d like to try this game is it !!!!

My favorite game right now but I must say it’s the orange’s fault every time. And sometimes the green . The small fruits are fine. The coconut and up is also alright. But every time a grape turns into an orange it messes up whatever I had going on. Falling on top of small fruits and trapping them. Rolling around too much making more green apples and pink fruits that just take up space and refuse to merge sometimes. The ads in the middle of playing are very annoying. I can understand an ad in the beginning and end but an app during the game is too much and I’ll probably end up getting tired of this game and deleting it because of it. Overall this game was very fun, i saw an ad for it and downloaded it because why not. There are a bit of ads but i just turn on airplane mode while playing and it’s fine. Sometimes the fruits don’t merge always or are very close to but don’t, but it’s not that much of a bother. I know that there are better versions of this game but I think that this is a very well made and entertaining game. I rated 4 stars because there is always room for improvement and i think adding a screen before the game starts and when you enter the game would be a great idea and a huge boost for this game.

I thought that this game was simple and I’m sorry, developers… dumb at first. I love it’s simplicity! I love that there are not a lot of levels with stupid annoying challenges to have to complete to move on to the next level. I am still not even sure if there is a next level. I am still trying my best to get 2 watermelons together to see what happens. The ads are annoying but short and can be clicked off quickly. The game itself is a pretty good game but when I checked the reviews 2.3stars? What’s that about it’s a good and solid game theres not any ads and people are complaining about the cover like no monkeys then they just write a bad review like 1 or 2 stars and plus ads? what is that about that’s no levels and people complaining about fruits like the green apple or the orange it’s not a good thing to be wasting your time about writing on that just figure out how to use the fruits correctly come on guys you can do better. :) :) :) :)

But otherwise, this game is awesome and has few ads! When it says time to take a break, I want to take a break hahaha! I got the game from a friend that got two pineapples and i wanted to see if i could get a watermelon! But i would definitely recommend this game even if there is not the best reviews

There is tons of adds and sometimes the fruits don’t merge. I will say that if you are like me with a bunch of anxiety disorders, and Panic disorder, you might like this game. I personally look past the flaws. It brings me down after a panic attack and is a good distraction during overwhelming moments or when I’m just overwhelmed for no reason. I hate the sound and the music so I have it off but everything else about the game besides the obvious flaws I enjoy. It just bring comfort and calmness during a hard time. All in all it’s a great distraction when I need one. Plus side my baby brother likes playing it too lol. Just try it. If it isn’t your thing fine but if it is at least you have a game that will keep you busy for hours when you need it!

I saw an ad that kept pulling up about this game on one of the games I was playing. I decide to see what the game was about and it looked pretty fun. I clicked on it to get it, but then I realized I had a really low rating. “2.3 stars?” I decided not to get it but then the ads just kept pulling up. I got it to see if the reviews were right. Everyone was complaining about the littlest details. I thought I would get it so I could see if was true. There were ads, but not long ones. Like geez every app has an ad. They were also complaining that the fruits didn’t touch and come together. Not for me. The game works perfectly fine by itself and if you are looking to get it, I recommend.

I have enjoyed this game for a while now and like others I thought it was a fantastic game but there were too many ads it almost made it annoying and I couldn’t always enjoy the game as is. As of the update today I love it so much more! Although the ad free purchase was a tad expensive it’s worth it for me so I only have to see ads when I want to like for getting boosters. I also love the boosters as it extends the length of time it takes to get through a level before it fills up all the way. I hope the updated keep getting better and I will continue playing this game for a long time.

I love FruitMerge so much and I don’t know about you some people give it I don’t know two stars and I really like it because once you put a fruit down some of them roll and shift and when they shift they all make like a different fruit when they connect together and I really want to know what’s after the watermelon this is a very kind of short but I really think it’s a good game even though sometimes it says you have to take a break I think that’s good some people just like to take breaks and either way people might say oh no it’s not good oh no it’s not good I think it’s the best you must download FruitMerge if you haven’t thank you for my time🍉
