Seems like a cool app that my toddler would love. I have never got passed a data parsing /server busy error however.
I loved your development story.
However, it doesn’t work for me, even with VPN shut off. I get different messages:
“Server overloaded”
“Request timed out”
“Error parsing data”
But I’ll keep trying
I’ve been trying over the course of the past week, at different times of the day. I always get a data error and it won’t show planes. I loved the blog post and app design, but unfortunately it doesn’t work. I’ll happily change to 5 stars if it’s fixed.
AviatorRadaronyourPhone is wonderful for sitting in your backyard and spotting planes as they fly around. The altitude scale of the airplane icons is super helpful too; the bigger the plane is on screen, the bigger it’ll appear to us on the ground! Thanks!!

Read the article the author wrote about building AviatorRadaronyourPhone. Fun idea. The boys love planes and we are always wondering what is a plane in the sky vs something else like stars or planets when the planes are very high over our home at night.
