I do like the freedom of layout in this version, but that’s all, everything else is a much more lesser experience and so many annoyances. Upgrades take extremely long time. I regret buying no ads, soon as buy the ads for rewards pop up very less. It would have been nice to stockpile gems. This version feels very tedious and annoying with not much to show for your effort. The 1st game can actually have fun and actually spend time playing the game. Not just login click upgrades 1 or 2 times a day. The card catalog sorting is also much lesser experience. Most of the game is the same assets and no purchases from 1st game carry to 2nd. It seems more of a push to p2w and reset your progress. And much preferred the * based upgrades in the menu instead of clutter the floor with objects doing close to same but seems much less upgrades so far. Better to avoid this one and just play the 1st one if still have

The original TCG Card Shop Tycoon is a really fun game to kill some time with, so when I saw the second one I wanted to give it a try. But it’s basically just the first game but infinitely worse. The gameplay loop is exactly the same except you can’t directly purchase packs/boxes to restock. Instead, you have to get them delivered to your store, which takes real life time to wait for. But, of course, you can speed them up with gems—which, in order to actually make the game fun, you’d have to buy packs of with real money. This is so clearly banking off the popularity of the first game to try and make a wallet-drainer simulator. Really disappointed.

Been playing for a few weeks now, bought all the updates and had a little fun adjusting the store layout. The second I uninstalled this game my life felt more at peace. This game is just one big daily log in simulator — which is the worst part of any game ever — so a game comprised entirely around being just that is god awful game design.

At some point very quickly you get all the displays and get the shop exactly as you want it, which means all that’s left day after day is to log in every 8 hours, open packs, start an upgrade on something new, rinse and repeat. So tedious and boring — and that’s with the store manager upgrade mind you. The devs desperately need to add some gameplay to this because no one, and I mean NOT A SOUL wants to spend there limited free time playing Daily Quest Simulator 2. Best of luck to anyone’s anxiety who decides to download this chore.

I found this one less enjoyable than the original. A lot of quality of life features just seem to be missing or harder to find and they made it so everything requires time to complete. In the original upgrades were completed as you bought them, but now you must wait for them to be completed or pay gems to complete them sooner. This may be because gems really did not need to be used in the first game so it couldn’t be monetized properly, but this feels like a step backwards in so many ways.

Card Shop Tycoon is hands down the best idle game ive ever played, it needed some improvements though but this is the second version of that game and it is by far much much better. The game has a lot of positives in comparison to the first one but my only annoyances are that any purchases you made in Card Shop Tycoon do not carry over to the 2nd game such as the store manager or no ads. And the addition of waiting for building/expanding. I loved the nonstop action of the first game where there was no time constraints to playing. You would just play!

Edit: the manager (which i had to pay for again because customer service does not respond to emails) is not as effective as in the first game. You used to be able to designate percentages of which cards to stock but the manager now will fill up with whatever is available which is generally the lower tier items. I have to manually go in and add in new items instead which is basically making the manager pointless.

I have reduced my review of 3 stars to 1 star until these problems are addressed.

I like the addition of being able to build out the floor of your shop rather than just unlock pre-placed shelving. Just about everything else feels like a step back from the previous game. Upgrades unnecessarily take up floor space and just look ugly. Shelves takes more effort to refill. You need to do more (not in a good way) to achieve the same results as the previous game. Upgrades are locked behind a progressive requirement system that, despite letting you design your own floor, locks you in to certain fixtures. And lastly, despite being the same overall game, the fact that it’s a separate game nullifies expensive QOL purchases from the previous game.

Lastly, the microtransaction prices need to be brought in line with the quality of this game. You are a low budget, low quality indie mobile game, not a triple-A billion dollar publisher blockbuster console game.

I knew ads would take a huge part, but I won’t lie. At this point you spend more time in ads than you do playing. Unless you’re idle to collect and not wait. This wouldn’t be so bad, but… 1/5 ads you get to watch to have enough resources to progress freeze. So either you lose that chance or you have to find ways around getting it to start again. Which is time consuming and tricky. Is it worth paying 10$ to get the ads removed? Honestly, I don’t think so. For me that is. This isn’t that game you sit down and play for hours on end. You can’t. Unless you dump a wallet and a half in it. Nothing against it as a whole, but it isn’t the simulator. Also, you’ll end up with a collection of low level cards that will be unrivaled unless you want to fill the case with them 1 at a time which would be stupid time consuming to get a few dollars.

This game has a lot more elements to it, which seems cool. In reality, it’s just more ways for you to spend money, because now you have to wait for toolsboxes to build your tables. But of course you can purchase more! Then you have to wait for your bike, and you can buy more bikes, and you have to build weird decorations to access upgrades. It slowly the game down immensely. I’m not going to sit and stare at my phone screen for 45 seconds waiting for a desk upgrade, to then have to upgrade my table for 3 minutes and stare at my screen for another 3 minutes, then have to build a statue for 10 minutes.

Enjoyable gameplay. However the developer has prioritized flashy graphics over stability. I have played for many weeks and spent money on the game but the frustration from the crashes has finally gotten to me. Added to the constant stress of making sure I’m saving or doing an action that saves that breaks up the flow really made the game not worth it. I waited for updates, but the last couple have not solved the problem. So much potential. I don’t really need so many assets blinking and flashing, stars exploding, would rather just play without interruption. Disappointing.

Since my last review Ive gotten to counter lvl 12. This game is really fun. Ive collected lots of cool cards and theres a display feature to display and sell individual cards which is like. The music is okay, wish there were choices. Ive gotten 4 builders now, and working on saving for the 5th. I havent spent money on anything, event to remove ads. All in all, this game gave me what I wanted but left me desiring more.

I really would like to see more from the building. Like a second floor maybe. Also the devs should make the Tetramon cards an actual battler. They have stats and everything, how cool would it be to use then to battle nps and friends? This feature would totally catch people by surprise and give us more to do for fun. Make a friends list so you can visit people and buy their cards as well as duel and give us an avatar. You have art for people coming to the store so that means we can pick which one is our store owner and represents us. Cuz sometimes you see the "owner" avatar come in to shop.

TCG Tycoon 2 is more faithful to the PC game as far as expanding and customizing goes. The 1st game was a bit too generic. I knocked this game a star because it’s more monetized than the first one. The prices on TCG Tycoon 1 seemed fair. On Tycoon 2 it’s more expensive and I’m hesitant to buy anything. I got the PC game on sale on Steam for a whole $8. TCGCardShopTycoon2 game wants $50 for no ads, auto restock, and some gems. Just no ads alone is a whopping $10! Chill with the expensive prices! I get the devs want to make money but this is getting too much.

There’s definitely a lot of positive changes to the game, such as a more customizable store, and a way lower requirement for opening card packs. However, something that is a negative change was the change to more time based gameplay for the building and upgrading. While it adds a bit more depth to gameplay, it is somewhat undesirable to more impatient players. Other than that however, the game is still quite fun, and offers even more rewarding gameplay in its second iteration.

Coming from the first one I really enjoy this type of game. If I had one wish for this game to make it replay-able it would be that once you complete a collection of a certain card. If I could change the art on the card to whatever picture I upload then I would be more excited to play again and see the cards I made in the future. I feel like that would make the game infinite since you can change the cards as you progress and restart the game.

I haven’t played more than a day but I’m hooked lol. I started with the first one and was so addicted I can’t put it down lol. In this one though you can get more card types and it’s alot easier to restock cards and earn what you need to. The in app purchases aren’t expensive either and are worth what you’re getting. Great game like the other one, but I was wondering why we can’t get like an assistant manager to allow us to open 3-5 packs . I’m a free player, I’m not going to pay for a store manager to open 10 packs at a time and it’s so boring opening one pack at a time or having to watch multiple videos when I have almost 100 packs to open, and then a video to double the star bonus . There needs to be an easier way

9.5/10 good fun game and I love being able to come back after awhile and have stuff to do in-between my usual life chores. My only complaint is more about not being able to open large number of packs across the different types at the same time in later levels. But it’s more of a nitpick. Overall great mechanics and more angles than the first one. Would recommend if you’re into Idle games.

I’ve been watching a streamer play the pc version and I wanted to try it too. This is a good free version for mobile devices. It’s a little simpler and it has the typical “do a thing that takes a certain amount of real time to complete” actions but still close enough to the pc version that I’m having fun. Opening packs is still opening packs. If you like it, play the game

The best game of all time really a good kicker it is perfect one little suggestion what if you added a place where you can ring the cards 3-D like they pop out of the screen at least In game And customization It is the best game I’ve ever played but if you can improve it a little here and there it will become the best of its time maybe some mini games and a first person view Love it and I hope you can create more and do great have a great day

I’ve had this game for a good few weeks, and every time I have some free time, I hop on to see my little shop. I’ve built up a good streak, but now I have hundreds of low levels cards that would take forever to get rid of. Maybe add a card bulking mechanic to sell multiple low cards at once like in the pc game. Another thing too, is that I feel like there needs to be more intractable activity within the game. Sure I can open packs when there ready and buy more pack(I bought the auto shelf and buy upgrade), but not much for me to do after that. Maybe the ability to host events or tournaments too add some variety. Overall this is a great game to help pass the time and I enjoy it every time.

I’m loving this TCG Card Shop 2, they have way more customization to the shop than having the regular generic shop. You could do more on this new update. It’s more optimize and also you can make your store how you want it. I’m liking this new update compared to the first one. Don’t get me on the first one is great, but I like this one because you could customize the Pokémon store how you want it.
