I never do app reviews, but it’s gotten to the point where I have to. As you know, lots of people lose their TV remotes in the couch cushions in blankets like it’s a normal thing well what if in the event you are sick and your body hurts to move and you’ve been stuck on the couch for a week now and you lose your TV remote but you wanna sit and watch TV and you see there’s an app where you can use your phone to control your TV when I saw this, I immediately thought that’s great now if I lose my remote, I know it’s on my phone and I’ll still be able to look for my remote, but I’m able to continue watching my show on my TV with my phone remote and go to the reviews as the app is downloading and quickly come to see that not many people like the app so I decide to go see what’s going on and I’m not even able to sync the app to my TV without it asking for me to pay. I hit the exit at the top and I can’t even press the button without asking for money. what if I am short on money but still wanna watch my Netflix series please get back to me as soon as possible but this is not OK and I really hope that you take my review and finally understand that loads of customers are upset about not being able to controller TV from their phone

DO NOT download this at all. Here’s the story: so currently I cannot find my roku remote. I use hotspot on my tv bc I haven’t gotten Wi-Fi yet. So my tv gets cut off the internet when my hotspot turns off or when I turn it off. Every app I’ve downloaded says I need to have my tv connected to the same internet as my phone to use the universal mobile remote… how am I gonna do that when I can’t find my remote to connect my tv to the hotspot 😡😡. This is the only app I found where I didn’t need to have both my phone and tv connected to the same internet to use it. In conclusion… u have to pay for this app to use a SINGLE button on it. RIDICULOUS SCAMMERS!

I have vacation rental homes in the poconos.
In all we have 60. Yes 60. TCL ROKU TV’s.
I have had Roku app for years and really enjoyed. The private listening feature where I could use wired headphones plugged into my IPhone and not disturb my wife. Out of nowhere the feature no longer works in the app. The option is still there. Just no sound through phone speaker or headphones. So i figure they have another app more up to date. Well the App Store was very limited and the only one I found with private listening want to charge $6.99 per week. Outrageous
