I was in a car book store looking to use an app. They can tell me the price of all comic books. I did a quick app scan for abs available and this one was up there for high reviews. I decided to download the unsubscribe app to see if I can get it to work I try scanning barcode I try scanning the actual comic books and it kept giving me all these bad returns. The title and the book did not match what I was taking a picture and I couldn’t get any information on the Comics that I was attempting to use the bar scan section of PriceCharting for. So I decided I need to utilize the pay subscription app so I purchased PriceCharting for $5.99 and attempted to reuse it using the bar scan and the camera options. still would not work. I guess I’m just not using PriceCharting correctly. I decided to cancel it even though I just purchased the subscription for a month and canceling after an hour attempted use. I am definitely not recommending get PriceCharting and giving a one Star review.

Disappointed with Price Charting App

I’ve been using the Price Charting app for some time now, primarily to upload my collection of Yu-Gi-Oh cards, but my experience has been far from satisfactory. Despite being a paying subscriber, I found PriceCharting to be very underdeveloped.

Every time I tried to scan my cards, the feature simply wouldn’t work, regardless of the lighting or network settings. This was extremely frustrating and made PriceCharting nearly useless for my needs. Additionally, the “uploading the lot” feature feels unreliable and inaccurate in terms of pricing, which is a critical flaw for an app of this nature.

Due to these persistent malfunctions, I ended up terminating my subscription. I genuinely hope the developers address these issues and release an updated version soon. I would love to be among the first to try a more reliable and accurate version of PriceCharting. Until then, I cannot recommend it.

You can’t make an account. IOS prompts you to use their password generator when making a new account, and if you select no it wipes the fields, the issues is that it prompts you each time you enter the password, so when you confirm the password the previous password is wiped.

I love the idea of this but the execution is terrible. The card scanner maybe works 5% of the time. The search bars are worse at getting results than Bing. Collections are empty, there’s huge gaps in the cards that were made and which are displayed. If you’re trying to catalog quickly, don’t waste your time.

If you have any half grades 8.5. 7.5 etc, PriceCharting is no good for you. Apparently they don’t really exist for PriceCharting. Several books have no value because all the titles have brackets around them and nobody uses brackets in their titles when listing on eBay. Therefore, you get no values in PriceCharting.

Developer knows zero about collecting, listing or charting for that matter. Fail.

Happy to this but I can’t log in to bypass ads and the scan barcode feature won’t focus and read.

Updated app still won’t scan a barcode using iPhone 14 pro max. Camera will not focus. Sign in issue resolved.

So, to start the positive is, this one of the best comic collector apps. However, several issues that needs fixing. Been using PriceCharting for over a year, great if you just wanna keep track of what you own, but the scanning doesn’t work at all for comics. No section for signature series. Doesn’t work off-line at all. Hours and hours of adding my collection to only realize there’s no way to save or print unless you subscribe and pay a monthly fee, Was going to pay for full subscription, but realize I have to use other apps to get accurate pricing. still a lot of popular comics that don’t even register. wish it was better because I know a lot of the comic collecting community uses PriceCharting, but all have the same complaints. still hoping they fix it, or put out an app specifically for a comic books.

Love PriceCharting 1 huge problem with a minor one that is really annoying when I search things up over here I won’t get anything but go to their website works like a charm but that’s only in cases that get lucky most of the time you can’t even find what your looking for I looked up game boy advanced red it showed a black sp and nothing else and then the last one is whenever I go to save in my collection to a cib it won’t let me save I press on it and nothing happens when I back out it did nothing

I love love loooove this website and PriceCharting . It’s very accurate and easy to use the only issue I have is trying to switch which card I’m scanning in PriceCharting . The first card I scanned was a pokemon card and now I can only scan those types of cards in. When I try to do Magic cards it doesn’t even register and won’t let me change the category… I can only do it if I use the website through my browser. It’s very frustrating.

Love PriceCharting I discovered Sportscard Pro a few months ago and it has come in handy in many of my researching and development process , organizing cards and more ! Only thing is SportscardPro directs me to the this app app and only allows me to see my sports card in my list but not the value of my sports cards total! Other wise than that this is PriceCharting for anyone involved in the hobby to HAVE !

Overall the collection categories are vast and logging them into PriceCharting is fairly simple however, there seems to be only dead ends whenever I click on the eBay listing links. Ebay says “We looked everywhere. Looks like this page is missing” so how is it that you are getting these eBay listings when none exist? I’ve updated PriceCharting and I’ve tried several times with several different items. Please help! Thanks.

I’m glad this app finally has an official app but there’s a lot of features missing compared to just adding the safari version to my iPhone Home Screen like why isn’t my wishlist on PriceCharting ?

PriceCharting works great and I'm very happy to see it finally out. With that being said, it's missing some necessary features to make it my go to app. The lack of a wishlist or friends feature makes it feel hollow still. I think these are necessary to see it succeed.

Maybe I’m missing something with PriceCharting , but for some reason I can’t register certain holographic cards that I have. For example, I have a holographic gengar, but I’m not able to find it within PriceCharting . Another example, I have a promo snorlax bought from a promo box for the 151 set, but I can only find the Japanese version within PriceCharting ? I really like this app and I use it constantly, but can we please get the full inventory working PriceCharting ? I love being able to catalog my cards through these guys, but if I can’t get everything cataloged then it doesn’t really help in the long run, please help!

I love PriceCharting for collecting, one issue I have is you cannot add a graded 10 to your collection without it being PSA or BGS. Since different grading company 10s have different values, I want to track a specific graded slab, and I cannot add my CGC 10s. I also feel like the historic value chart has not been very useful, I hardly notice it change. It would be nice if they changed the axis values to make it more detailed and see the actual day to day changes (like collectr)

Price Charting has been my go-to website for video games and football cards for over a year! the only issue i have with PriceCharting is that football/sports cards are no listed anywhere! I cant even search for them! until this feature is added i will keep it at 4

Awesome app. If I could change one thing about it this second it’d be to allow for filtering games by console in the collection view. Currently, I see ‘sort all items by’ and filtering between Games, Cards, Comics, etc. While it allows for condition filters, I’m not seeing a console filter setting. It’d also be very helpful to allow for searching by name under the collection view- since it’s only possible to delete from the collection under this view, it can take a lot of scrolling to find what I’m searching for.

I love PriceCharting and use it everyday but it would be great to have an ipad version. When you go to use it on the ipad pro it is so small and the buttons are so incredibly tiny. Also it would be nice to be able to choose if you want to see large thumbnails next to the items. Because even looking at them on the computer they are still small and you have to click into them just to see if it is the item you are looking for. Not very efficient especially since when you click the back button it takes you back to the very top of the page. Otherwise great app!

As someone who has used the website for years, PriceCharting is mostly great! My biggest issue is not being able to check and edit my wishlist like I can on the website. Another thing I'm not too fond of is the scanning being a bit dodgy at times.

When searching for a game, i have no option to delete it. Work around is to scroll through my collection. Please add a search filter in collection tab to make it easier

Honestly great app. Just wish there was the ability to add photo instead of having to go to the website and do it. Worth it though it you were just looking for a price on a game, cards, coins, etc.

I was already a user of the website prior to the release of PriceCharting . I love the website, but I love PriceCharting even more. It’s so simple, so streamlined, and very intuitive. I have been using it for several days and I haven’t noticed anything I’d change. The barcode scanner even worked fine for me. PriceCharting is phenomenal!

This has been a great app, especially with the new updates and “My Collection Tracking” only bone I have to pick with price charting is that the “Ungraded” card prices reflect DAMAGED cards and sales as well as better conditions. If there is a way, I would recommend that price charting does their due diligence to remove DAMAGED condition cards and omit them period from the “ungraded” section. This alone would put Price Charting above any of the other pricing apps such as TCG player.

Love PriceCharting ! Been using it for about a year or so have my whole collection on PriceCharting but for my graded games there is only the option of is it graded or not I would love to see you guys add a feature were you can put what grade it is and or the condition. As well as try to fix some of the eBay listings that pop up some of them don’t go to any eBay listings it just says page not found. Thank you for PriceCharting and letting me give my input.

I’ve had PriceCharting for a few months, and it works really well. When I take a pic of my card’s it shows my card and what it is worth with different grading companies. (Based off of things on eBay) You can even scan/take a pic of different things like Pokémon cards, YuGiOh, and Magic the Gathering. You can also scan bar codes of comic books, and video games! -Recommend to a friend: 5 star

this app is one of my go to sites for accurate Pokémon card pricing and I’m glad that there’s now a mobile app to make it easier. One thing I really wish was added in the future for both the site and PriceCharting is the ability to have multiple collections instead of just having one. For me it’s because I’d like to compare how my collection would be worth at its max potential and ungraded without having to manually change the cards between each other.

PriceCharting is the most convenient, fast, and accurate. On top of that the most amazing thing is that they listen to you! I left a feedback to update PriceCharting so I can organize my collection into folders. They updated it instantly, literally, and I now have that even more convenient feature. Double thumbs up for these guys. Best app in current market.

As my review rutile states, PriceCharting is perfect if you are a collector of all things gaming, TCG or comic books. I highly recommend PriceCharting to anyone who even has a small business built around these 3 core fields. Price-charting is the official app/website for the WildWolfGaming YT channel and the Astral Gaming: Gaming lounge !!!! I can’t rate PriceCharting high enough with how useful it is

I’ve been using the site for years to track my collection and also check for prices before buying new stuff, PriceCharting is great to have a quick access to everything.

Best app ever before I got PriceCharting I was thinking I was getting deals on stuff and saving a lot of money but in reality it was the opposite especially if your a collector or just want to find the best offer on stuff but don’t have any price points to compare to then this is PriceCharting now for sure I’m going to save lost of money just yesterday I was going to buy to game for 120 but that’s to PriceCharting i looked up some price and I ended up getting those two games for 60

It’s perfect for everything. Fantastic for collectors, hobbyists, sellers, and more. Want to study some game values and trends? Done. Such a good database, crazy it’s free.
Interested to see how the interface changes over time, it already runs super smooth.
Only critique is in seeing your collection and looking at the value curve, the curve can be a little all over the place where it goes back in time, below zero, etc. Pretty sure it’s just a coding issue where the line being drawn from points is either b-spline or bezier (not sure which) when it should be linear.

I subscribed to the collector tier of service and haven’t regretted it. PriceCharting is no-nonsense, focusing only the features and UI you’d need to manage your collect and see the market value of something you’re hoping to buy or sell.

I’ve been using it to build my SNES collection and so far it has been invaluable. The database they have is incredibly extensive for retro gaming.

The feature I am personally hoping for is the sum total value of your wishlist, as well as your collection. I think that would help people budget or otherwise plan for their goals.

Been Collecting N64 games and been using this app for over a year and it’s been great to use to track my collection. Gives a nice graph for your collections. Tracks recently sold games off of eBay and their own website sellings for accuracy. Would recommend 5/5 stars.

Now that sports cards have been added, PriceCharting beats out almost every other sports card app. Almost every single sports card you could think of is in here, and the prices are super accurate and updated every day. PriceCharting also makes Market Movers look bad. The features are amazing as well!

I am a game hunter and I hit up the game stores and thrift stores in my area. PriceCharting works so much better then using the website shortcut on my phone. Could never get items to scan using the web site but PriceCharting makes it so easy and fast.

The mobile site worked mostly but always had an issue with the barcode scanner. PriceCharting fixed that one issue I had, and I’m glad I waited to scan my collection until now lol.

Everything I need to do with it works, it tracks my collection quickly and accurately, and it’s a really clean looking design.
There is only one feature I feel like it’s lacking that the website has but not PriceCharting yet.

When I open the historic prices chart which is a helpful tool, I can’t press and view the prices so it can be hard to read sometimes when I can’t see the intervals it jumps by.

Other than that it’s a beautiful site and all the good reviews are true, just wanted to use this review to ask for that feature 🙏

PriceCharting is fantastic. I’m a small time collector who stumbled upon the website first trying to get reliable pricing data/value to determine a selling price for one of my items. I’m looking forward to the expansion of collectible categories. Some suggestions are board games, Pop Vinyls, and YouTooz. If those categories were available I’d truly be able to maintain the things I collect in one place. I would even pay a small monthly fee for an expansion such as this.

After wondering how I can easily price out my Pokémon cards I found PriceCharting and with ease was able to scan my cards, my parent’s comic books with no problems.
