Dumb Ways to Survive NETFLIX Reviews

I really truly enjoyed this game for the first several days I played it. However after getting to the fourth location I’ve ended up having lots of glitches and bugs. I’ve started the whole game over once, but got to the level and similar things started happening. I decided to play through it, but it keeps resetting the level I’m on. All the buildings I’ve built and upgraded in my campsite keep disappearing. The boulders I’ve blown up in my paths reappear and bridges I’ve built disappear. My progress box says I’ve collected 3/4 keys, but the key holders I’ve already defeated are back. I’ll make my back to the castle just for the level to be completely reset again. Even when I respawn my health bar is empty from the beginning. It’s truly frustrating because I have not enjoyed a cell phone game as much as this one in a long time. I contacted customer support in hopes for an explanation/help, but after an hour I got no where. I’m hoping they will fix these issues soon so I can get back to enjoying this game.

TLDR don’t bother downloading if you ever want to leave or reload DumbWaystoSurviveNETFLIX .

The item required for progression to the fourth map disappeared from my inventory after I left and rejoined the game, essentially soft locking me from progress.

After that I wondered around for a while and got stuck in “ice walking” mode after I closed the game while on an ice patch and re-opened later. I’m now stuck moving like this, ice or not.

Then I got trapped under the map with no way out after I closed the game while standing near a wall. No way out other than dying, and upon death my items didn’t show up in a grave like usual, but disappeared completely.

Seemingly no way to get around the bugs other than restarting the game completely. No way to report the bugs either outside of Netflix help center support chat which told me to play on a different device I don’t have or restart my phone (neither worked).

The current top review describes the issue I’m having: elevated hunger in blizzards persisting after the blizzard ends makes it impossible to complete the ice level. You can’t generate enough food to keep up. I noticed other status changes persisting when they shouldn’t as well (for instance, the hat that allows you to pick up materials and put them straight in storage remains after changing hats).

I don’t know how the top review is still giving 4 stars, it makes the game unplayable. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

I left a review on May 7. They responded a couple of days ago about rolling out a new update. Since my first review, I had deleted my save and started over only to have same issues that, it seems, most people were having (day time locked in, hunger diminishing rapidly without any weather affects, etc). New update rolls out and same issues till there. Did a soft reset of phone and no change. Allowed character to starve to death (19 day streak now gone) only to revive and start starving rapidly. This is also with the badge that prevents starving longer equipped. I guess it will be another month before I try to play or just give up. Tried contacting via the link sent and it’s either a chat to help resolve issues or a call. No the options are for your account or video service. They need a game specific service because it’s too much to wait and just to report the issues.

I really enjoyed this game while I could play it - I even made it to the 4th world. But I loaded the game one day and now I’m stuck as a “shadow” and I can’t interact with the map at all. It’s as if my character is under the ground level. I tried reinstalling the game, but still encounter this issue. Super disappointed.

Update: Before the developer response I’d seen an update. Since Netflix uses boilerplate update language I did not know if the issue had been fixed. It hadn’t. I checked again after their request and it still hadn’t been fixed. I lose thirst within five seconds and resources are regenerating within one or two seconds.

There are some huge bugs in this game. Like other users I’ve encountered one that speeds up time. The generators at my space spit out resources in one second, but that also means I get thirsty and die in about ten seconds. This game went from being mediocre to too frustrating to play. Download another game instead.

I’m so disappointed with this game bugging out on the last map. I had fun running around through the maps. But I’ve gotten stuck in unplayable areas and the timer for thirst is messed up to where going anywhere is impossible. Also there is an issue on the ice map where it fully bugged toward the end and I was sliding like I was on ice for the rest of my time on the map. This game was also a little tedious. And in any map after the first it felt like there weren’t the proper tools or resources to have any advantage over the creatures that deal so much more damage than you can reasonably take.

I loaded into the game and it was fine but when I got to the second world and logged off I joined back and I was stuck. I wast that far so I just reset the game(along with my progress) and continued playing. After completing the main game I log back in and all of my benches(forge cookery etc) were gone. Overall the game is pretty good but the glitches make the game so angering. If you get provoked easily I dont recommend this game or if you plan to play this game a lot I also don’t recommend it.

It’s a 5⭐️ game. But, horrible bugs ruined the experience.

After I got to third level in the game, suddenly out of nowhere I had issue where the main player of game started appearing like a shadow and it wasn’t the same game anymore.. I tried closing opening multiple times but nothing worked. In the end, I decided to abandon the game as this lead to frustration.

Dear Developers, there is also a thread on Reddit about the same bug, please rectify it.

Super fun game. Love no ads and easy to keep playing. Just wish heart life rejuvenated on its own or food gave more heart health. And I was on a roll and it froze. One of the ghostly guys killed me and it froze. Please fix so I can do an update and not start over. Loving this game!!!! Guess I’ll go adult for a while since I can’t nerd out on my phone.

Update: decided to play under my husbands account and start over… still enjoyed the game. Got killed by a yeti and game froze again. Also after deleting and reloading game on phone, both my acct and my husbands it started us at the very beginning but it’s still frozen just on the beginning screen. Lots all progress and not even a chance to start over. So frustrating. Sadly deleted from my phone for good.

I’ve been waiting on another update because after the last one my game glitched and bean died but got stuck at one of the safe spots without any of the options to walk or open inventory. I kept deleting and redownloading the game just hoping that something would happen. It did. It spawned back at camp with the heat wave effect permanent, my inventory was spread out, and the same thing was happening where I didn’t have any options to do anything like open settings or anything I can’t interact with anything. I can just hear noises and some of the animals move around. I love this game so bad but I can’t bear to start over I’ve made it to the castle in the highlands and I haven’t been able to play for the last couple of weeks

This game was so fun for a few hours but then after getting through the river rapids I was unable to go any further in the game. The support beams were nowhere to be found. I googled to try and find them and found out that I had a suitcase where the support beams are supposed to be. I scoured every part of the game I had access to and couldn’t find them. I had the cable but without the beams I couldn’t build the bridge to progress any further in the game. I tried deleting all my progress and reinstalling DumbWaystoSurviveNETFLIX to completely restart the game and still no support beams (just a suitcase). This is such a bad mistake that it makes the game unplayable. I have seen that other users have had similar problems, getting half way through the game only to find out they are missing crucial items to progress any further. I have also seen the developers claiming to update and fix these pretty big issues but the updates don’t fix the problem for many users. I hope they actually work these issues out because I would love this game if I could actually play it. Honestly not even mad anymore. Just disappointed.

I played the game in the winter app and I was forever slipping and now in the train station I'm stuck on top of a platform I'm not supposed to be on and I'm stuck up there so ill probably have to reset the game.🙁

To the developers. Please please come out with an update to fix the bugs and glitches.. for example, in the 2nd map, the notification for a new reward or badge is there but wont give you anything once you finally click on it, also some items simply disappear from your inventory or doesn’t get counted at all while picking it up. and during the 3rd map the hunger and thirst drains FAST.. even with a drink potion to slow hunger it still drains super quick even without the “ weather “ in a effect. Other than simple fixes this game is super fun, me and the wife love it and will continue playing with the hopes of an update

I personally love the game! Graphics are nice and the game isn’t difficult at all. I find it to be a nice relaxing game. My only issue is that it constantly glitches/ lags. I could be in the middle of fighting and everything will freeze. I’ve played countless games were it’ll freeze and close itself before I’m able to save. Luckily the game hasn’t broken my heart doing that to me, but there are multiple times where it feels DumbWaystoSurviveNETFLIX will close itself out. I didn’t play for 3 days and immediately after starting up my last save it was frozen and I just closed DumbWaystoSurviveNETFLIX . I’ve made it to the second map, but I’m scared to progress Incase my progress won’t be saved. Sorry for the rambling, I just want the game to perform at its best for all who May choose to play!

I’m echoing everyone else’s comments. Love this game but am now experiencing major bugs. The day and night cycle has frozen and I’m experiencing the quick hunger glitch. It goes from full to empty in 5-10 seconds. This happened completely at random. Please fix these issues! I’m afraid I’m going to have to delete my save and start over. But I can’t help but feel like I’ll end up in the same spot again.

I LOVE this game! However, the map that I’m on is crashing constantly, like every 5 minutes! I’m saving my progress as much as I can, but it still sets me back a few steps every few minutes. It’s incredibly frustrating. It wasn’t really a problem on previous levels, but this one is really bad for some reason. Please fix this ASAP so I can continue playing!

I was having so much fun playing this game and made it all the way through the forest/swamp, desert, to the ice level, unlocked all the keycards and put the batteries in their place just to be killed by a yeti with a banjo. Now every time I open my game I am stuck on the yeti dancing with my items stuck around him. Update I ended up deleting save and starting all over again, just to be killed by the yeti again and the same glitch happening. I refuse to delete and restart again I’m so disappointed I wasted so much time getting there. I will now uninstall.

I really enjoy this game, but I can no longer play it. I died on one level and the game froze. I have reinstalled the game and still it loads up to the last screen where I died and I can’t reset the game. I can’t see my character just the background scene. I contacted. They told me to restart my phone re-download DumbWaystoSurviveNETFLIX . Nothing has worked so this game is pretty much lost to me now. It is disappointing because it is a really fun game. I wish I can continue to play it.

*update* I increase my reading by one star because the developer did fix the glitch. When I open the game back up, I lost all my progress and a lot of my items. Because I’m at one of the mid-level’s I might as well just start all over again. beware of the glitch. I don’t trust this game again. It’s too bad because it is a fun game.

The hunger glitch in the snow level makes the game completely unplayable. I was having so much fun and couldn’t put the game down until the hunger glitch and your character can’t stay alive more than 45 seconds at a time. Ugh going to have to delete and find something new. So much promise though

Really fun game but I have been stuck on the same day for 6 days straight! Thirst level last less than 30 seconds. 🥲 Also was stuck without nights for a whole week.

Love this game & would give it 5 stars if they fix the glitches. I’m in the volcano area and my thirst goes from 100 to 0 in 1 second (not exaggerating the time). This is making the game unplayable. I keep dying before I can make it to the campsite (where I could at least make the quench drink to stock up on if I was there). But instead of respawing at camp when I die, I keep spawning at a safe spot instead, even after I took that badge away that is supposed to do that. So now I am just dying after 20 seconds and waiting until it will be night time so I can at least fast travel back to camp. But waiting and dying 50 times before I can actually progress in the game is very frustrating.

This is such a great game (and my favorite at the moment) but the glitches are unbearable :( I made it to the ice map and the game glitched bean into the walls, I had to press the delete save button and it sent me all the way to the beginning of the game. As I was about to exit the first map again, the quest tab glitched and made me start doing everything from the beginning, even tough I had already gotten past it all. I then built the swamp bridge and once again the game glitched and returned the bridge supplies to their original spots. Safe to say I know the entirety of the first map like the back of my hand. I then clicked save after every significant event. Bridge supplies: save, built the bridge: save, made it to the desert again: save. I made it through the desert again perfectly fine, got to the snow map and everything was going smoothly until bean started wobbling all over the place as if he were on ice the entire map. I purposely made bean die of hunger to see it he would be okay when he respawned, I was unfortunately wrong..poor bean couldn’t balance in his feet while he was on the snow :( I then confidently pressed delete save because I had clicked save a few times after I made it into the ice map….it sent me all the way back to the beginning again…after starting from scratch 3 times now…I have finally given up :< PLEASE FIX THE BUGS BC I REALLY WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME IM BEGGING

I have two separate accounts that I play on but they’re both glitching, my food on one won’t stay full and my water on the other won’t stay full, they used to last a while but now they only last about 15 seconds before I have to run to find food or water and it’s really annoying because I’ve lost my streak a few times due to them running out

I am enjoying this game, however I’m in the ice area and now my character is stuck in solid blue color and can not interact with the objects and goes through barriers and boundaries. I have tried restarting and it’s the same issue. Hoping for an update soon.

I loved the game 5/5 stars but in the desert climate, DumbWaystoSurviveNETFLIX glitched, and wouldn’t let me move my bean, so I actually had to erase my gameplay to even play again. I’m not going to start all over again so I liked it but I won’t play again because of the glitch. 3/5

I finished the all the levels, had a great time playing the game. Left the game for like a few hours. Now my objective became #This task adhhhhhhhhh #This task adhhhhhhhhhhh. I was going to keep playing the game to complete my achievement notebook but now there is no reason to anymore. All my building are gone and the obstacles are reset for all 4 maps. It was fun though while it lasted.

Really fun game, but seems to be a problem in the snow world. The day never cycles to night anymore and the hunger empties so fast I can’t do anything anymore as the bean has to constantly eat or die. I was able to get to the train tracks before this became a problem and have now eaten through all the food to just constantly die. Bummer..

Honestly love this game got far in it but I died once and now my thirst is going down so fast it’s killing me in 10 seconds. There isn’t even the heatwave weather active but my thirst is reducing so fast. I would restart if I wasn’t so far in the game but because I’m so far there’s no point, it took my a week just to get to this point in the game.

I saw this game as I was scrolling on Netflix and though I should give it a try. Honestly was nothing that I was expecting but it was 10x better than what I thought it would be. I’ve non stop played this game for a few days until last night when I got killed and killed a monster at the same time and my game is completely glitched and keeps showing my gravestone and won’t do anything but that. I can’t even restart the game or anything although I’m in the castle round I’d rather restart then not have the game work but I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to lose my progress and I don’t want my game frozen. I’ve tried everything including restarting my phone, deleting then redownloading the game and backing out then back into it. I’m at a loss and don’t know what to do.

This game took over my life for 3 days it’s sooo fun. But now I’m in the snow area and I can’t go more than 5 seconds without starving to death (after having a full stomach) I eat and before I can even leave the campsite I die of hunger so I am unable to play anymore :( I see others are having this same problem with the glitches. Please fix this so I can play again because I loveee this game!

I was playing this game earlier today, but as soon as I tried to play again about 10 minutes ago, Noob was only a silhouette and phased through everything and couldn't interact with anything. I tried force quitting the game by closing DumbWaystoSurviveNETFLIX and reopening it multiple times, but it's the same each time I open it. Please fix. I'd like to keep playing.

I started the game yesterday, played it for several hours at this point. It’s cute, simple and fun. Very addictive.

The bad part about this is all of the glitches. To talk to anyone I had to click on them three times just to get the menu to pop up, then when I went to someone else the original menu would pop up twice before it would open the second persons menu. For instance- go to the blacksmith click on him three times to get access, then go to the juice man and the blacksmith menu opens twice before the juice menu.

The more important glitch is the fact that the bridge cable isn’t anywhere in my game. It has never been there. I collected the other part for the bridge but the cable location is empty and now the game is telling me to repair the bridge, which I can’t, because I don’t have all of the equipment. I cannot get any further than the first area.

I absolutely love this game ! But please I’ve made it too the ice cap my character went though one blizzard and even with the storm gone my hunger decreases in less then 30 seconds! I have no weather in affect and it’s still hurting my health no matter what , also it will glitch in small ways like saying you have rewards available when there isn’t or I’ve have times where I’ll pick multiple items and it will not reflect in the backpack or the storage , I can’t continue the game with the hunger glitch being fixed ! I hope I can play soon I had a 34 day streak and lost it 😭😭

The game is a lot of fun and a good way to waste some time, but there are some bugs that are really frustrating. In the snow lands, food satiety depreciates so quickly that roaming is nearly impossible. I have gone through nearly 50 meals in the span of minutes. With no way that I can see to mitigate the rate, I can’t see that it’s intended to be that intense of a step up. Please check to see if this is a bug.

I read this was a bug in other reviews. Love the game but I can’t play it anymore as I used all my food and die every minute.

I never play mobile games but this is a delight. Great work 😄

This is a very fun game! I can spend multiple hours on this game and not get bored. Hopefully they keep adding new things to the game so you don’t run out of stuff to do! Also I don’t know if it’s possible, but I would love to have this game to have a multiplayer option! It would make it so much more fun! So devs if you make that happen that’d be awesome!

I really enjoyed this game but one thing I wish was a thing is that when you finish the game that you can be able to store more things into the van but only after you completed the story I would also like if there were one or two more levels added that would make it more fun to play I would also like for the trader to be able to sell one more badge thingy and more backpack space but overall it’s a really good game and I really enjoyed it.

Phone Controls just seem a little weird

Bugs. When i first got this game i made all that way to the the snow map but then i died from a mob but the thing is that i never respawned. I kept on trying to rejoin but it just wouldnt let me respawn at all so i had to restart all the way to the beginning. So far it hasnt happend so idk if you guys got it fixed or not. Experience. They game is EXTREMELY fun i love it so so so much its one of my favorite games. I love the art style and this is definitely really challenging which makes it fun!! Suggestion. So i obly have one suggestion that i think would be really cool!! Which is… Multiplayer!! It would be so fun playing this game with friends!

Listen I am not a mobile game kind of person. I usually play a game for a bit then get tired of it and then delete. This game on the other hand has me totally addicted!! I’m actually so sad that I’m almost finished with it! 😩 It has wonderful graphics and sound. I’ve read a few other reviews and have to say the entire time I’ve played there has been no glitches or bugs! I’m assuming they have been fixed. Also, the support beams were most definitely found (to be honest I think that person was mad they couldn’t find them lol) But this game is so good and I’ll definitely be sad when I finish. I’ve played all the Dumb Ways To Die games and this is an awesome spin off!!

Absolutely obsessed with this game. Haven’t been able to put it down since i downloaded it.

Ive had this game for about a month. I made it to the dessert map, and Netflix tried to have me re-sign in (the whole password share prevention im assuming) and it basically started me over at the original forest map. I save my progress multiple times throughout playing the game. I ended up starting the whole game over ( I wanted to accomplish more on each map anyways, so I just bit the bullet). Now in the power station map, my hunger depletes in 5 seconds. At first it was taking a few minutes. I assumed it was decreasing faster because I was moving through the maps. However, it became hard to find food before starving. Now my hunger depletes in less than 30 seconds. As soon as I load up the game. However, this game really is so much fun. This review is definitely not meant to dissuade you from downloading. Just a heads up. Hopefully there will be an update soon

this game is amazing, i 100% recommend it, but i have an issue with a bug i am experiencing, and this bug is preventing me from playing any further in my game. i got to the lava/volcano place, and i have absolutely no idea what happened that resulted in this - but my character looks like it is underneath the ground, and there is an invisible box around me, where as i couldnt go very far. when this happened, my character was dying of thirst, had a bunch of materials i needed, etc. i really needed the stuff i had and was on my way to a safe spot for the night, so i am not sure what caused this and i looked up my issue but got no results, so now im here writing a review and hoping that the devs see this and can help! i would like to solve this in any way that doesnt cause me to loose any of my things, but i am open to literally any solution. thanks, and anyone else reading, get the game, its amazing and you wont regret it!

Multiple areas, fun gameplay, but what the one downside is it’s kind of grinding other than that. It’s amazing.

This game is basically dumb ways to dies take on like a survival Minecraft like game. Overall it’s really fun and I definitely recommend you give it a try.

This scheme is really fun to play. They don’t make it super hard to the point where you wanna give up, but they don’t make it super easy to point where you get bored of it although sometimes I do put the game down for a day or two I still find myself coming back to it because it’s just super fun. I do recommend.

Reason why I wanna make this review five stars is well simple first off there’s no ads second off the mechanics are easy to get by and the third final one it just has a dash of challenging

Honestly not bad compared to other games like this. I’ve not made it to far but so far it’s very nostalgic and I’m excited to see more.

I absolutely love this game. Very cute, easy to use, and challenging. While battling one of the ghosts who has a key, I was killed, and instead of respawning, I’m stuck watching the ghost scratch his head. A tombstone isn’t made, and my items just float around the confused ghost. I am hoping that something will be able to repair this in a future patch. I don’t want to delete and start over because this game is time consuming and I’m several biomes in. Please repair this.
