Excited but beware of battery

I’m super excited to use this app at the All-Star Game at T-Mobile Park. However beware of the battery usage for this app. I installed it and my phone drained overnight with the settings app saying the app ran nearly continuously in the background. I will be force quitting the app and turning off background refresh for it until the game.
