Swipefy for Spotify Reviews

When I first got Swipefy i loved it. I decided i want to support its developers by purchasing the premium version even though there are hardly any benefits. If i knew these problems would arise i would never purchased this. There is always something happening, whether Swipefy can’t load any songs for me to swipe through, or it recommends the same song 20 times in a row. PLEASE FIX THESE BUGS!

Swipefy wouldn’t open at first. It kept taking me back to the Home Screen so I deleted it and downloaded it back. Swipefy opened but everytime I try to customize the discover page it says “Error :(“ so Swipefy is completely useless now.

I bought pro a couple weeks ago and the main gimmick of Swipefy broke, I couldn’t swipe or even see songs. On the discord, you guys said you knew about the issue and were working on it but nothing has been done in months. At least update us on whether you’re making progress

$18 is ridiculous when half the features are locked behind the paywall. I would consider paying $10, but not even this much should be limited with "pro".

I can’t see my liked songs, it says it’s unable to load and to try again later but i’m connected to the internet and i thought it was because i didn’t have pro so i bought it and it’s still not loading and after i bought pro the recommendations got worse please let me see my liked songs

PROBLEM STILL NOT FIXED. I think the developers just forgot about it. When I try to import a playlist I’m always shown an unable to load please try again. I am connected to internet I do not understand issue. Other than that I like Swipefy I am a pro user and use stats fm as well wish this issue gets fixed. Love the option to add songs to playlist automatically but wish it’d work. I know app development is tough but I’d like at least a recognition of the problem

Really awesome concept and I was excited enough that I bought premium - but Swipefy is only about 25% functional. The main thing I bought the premium version for was so that I could find songs that fit the vibes of my playlists. However, for MONTHS that feature has been completely broken. If I try to swipe from a playlist or an artist or a song or a genre, it just shows “Unable to load: please try again later.” The only part of Swipefy that actually works for me is swiping from the home page (though songs are frequently repeated there as well). It has been literally months that I’ve been totally unable to use Swipefy for what I got it for.

I pretty much like everything about Swipefy except for the fact that I can’t add my taste of music after I skipped it in the set up. If you can add a feature so that I can add my liked songs, that would be great.

New app, and I like the concept. The swiping mechanic is fun and the algorithm seems to be making reasonable guesses about what I might like. Still, right now it’s too buggy to be useful, so I’m just hoping that further new versions will continue to improve. Most importantly, the syncing still doesn’t seem to be working.

Personally, I would rather the likes sync to a specific playlist for Swipefy rather than my main “likes” list, especially since you’re only listening to a clip in Swipefy, and I’ll generally want to listen to the whole song before I can decide if it’s really for me. Still, I could live with syncing to the like list, but until some sort of sync works properly, it’s way too much work to actually find and listen to the songs that you discover in Swipefy.

I change the filters then it says I have no more recommendations, but the only things I changed were liveliness, energy, and danceability. I changed them to 20 each.. are my filters too harsh?

the algorithm works pretty well, main complaint js after you play a song you can’t just tap the play button to hear it again. small inconvenience, but would be nice to have that ability.

also itd be great to not just save to playlists and swipe based on them but to actually be able to swipe just the songs in a playlist. it would make for such a useful tool in organizing my larger playlists!

itd also be nice to sort the songs you swipe by release date? im not sure if this is already possible but if it is the option should be a but more intuitive to find!

because of the lack of these features i definitely find myself using Swipefy a lot less

I've been searching extensively for a music discovery app, so discovering this app felt like finding the holy grail. However, my experience has been hampered by the numerous bugs in Swipefy . Despite these issues, this app remains a great app if you can navigate through the bugs, as it still offers a somewhat functional experience.

I love your app, but every time I open it, it presents me with the "unable to load" screen. I've checked the previous reviews, and it seems that this problem has been happening for months. I hope you guys find a solution soon.

App is really good and gives good recommendations but the “Sync” feature only works like 2% of the time.

If this gets fixed or a manual sync button is added Swipefy will be perfect.

I love Swipefy! It makes it very easy to find music similar to what I already like, or discover new genres :)
However, I do think there are things that need attention. Mass selecting songs to add to collections would be great, and then being able to add a new collection when you have them open. Otherwise, I have to back out and go to my page to add a collection, and then go back to my songs to add them one by one into a collection.

I love broadening my music taste using Swipefy and overall think this is a fun idea. But while using it, every once in a while an error will pop up saying “type ‘Null’ is not a subtype of type ‘String’”. Making me need to leave Swipefy and get back in. Im sure this will start annoying me soon if it keeps up.

Edit: it works now but I think it still only syncs every 24 hours, still would be nice to have a manual sync button

Swipefy would be amazing if the playlist syncing worked, but Swipefy is genuinely brand new so I guess it’ll probably get fixed. It’s good for just finding new music anyway.

It’s amazing, great recommendations, one thing is I would love if the music would keep playing. E.g. i swipe to answer a text it stops. Other than that great

I love the concept but I think that there should be more newer songs, most of the sonfs are from like 2018 and are outdatted. I love Swipefy though and will be using to expand my taste!!

I never write reviews but this is the only music app you will ever need, trust. Few come close but this is a cut above the rest in terms of customization and aligning to your preferences. Don’t get too lost in it though since it really makes it easy to find a new favorite song every day. 11/10

Swipefy is the best music swiper i’ve ever used. The algorithm adjusts based on your listening habits, playlists, and you can even customize the vibe you are going for. The prices are very cheap for pro if you’d like to upgrade and brings so much more to the table. I would definitely recommend PRO. In just 10 minutes, i made a perfect no skip playlist that was 6 hours long with my favorite artists and genres. 10/10, would buy PRO again!! 😊

Usually when I come across websites/apps that give you music recommendations based on your current listening, I don’t expect much because their recommendations are mostly likely not what your looking for or not even close to your taste. But when I tell you I was shocked when I heard the good music recommendations that actually pertain to my current music interests. I actually found some good recs from Swipefy already. 10/10 app for us curious music lovers!!

This is exactly what I’ve been wanting for years, a convenient way to find music you like! Swipefy has really nice interface and is high quality. The only bad part is the paid part which lets you swipe your playlists. It’s a great app
