I tried to scan all over and it wouldn’t even scan a regular camera let alone a hidden camera. I couldn’t get it to identify any cameras I had in the house not one I kept hitting skin. I did it in the room with hidden cameras, regular cameras, and no cameras, and nothing was detected. Each time!!!

So you’re telling me if I get this camera it’s a good camera but get this almost 8 dollars per week what happened to his monthly subscriptions? Yeah this is a scam. I’m not paying eight dollars a week just for a camera remove CameraDetectorApp and delete it horrible idea you have to pay weekly that’s a scam

CameraDetectorApp is a scam. It was completely useless at picking up cameras and IR light. I put it in front of a webcam and it didn’t recognize it. I could barely see the IR light coming from the tv remote when I pointed it right at the camera. They want you to make one payment so they can get quick money.

I used CameraDetectorApp in my own house for all of about two minutes then deleted it cause it couldn’t even show me my nanny cam that is a small but not miniature camera that is inside of a remote control and has infrared sensors it couldn’t even detect that

Once you opened CameraDetectorApp you were greeted with a popup for a useless payment for CameraDetectorApp (dont do it. just click the X Button and CameraDetectorApp will load.) CameraDetectorApp itself doesn’t work at all. I tested this on a PLUSHY that I OWN and it think it has camera when it was literally just scanning the eyes of the plushy (which is literally just embroidered eyes). So basically anything small
it’ll think it’s a camera when it’s literally not. Then it’ll ask for me to use bluetooth for no reason at all. CameraDetectorApp is sketchy itself. DONT DOWNLOAD!

It’s useless if u need it 2 search for hidden cameras. Literally everything small identified as some sort of camera. Then all is does is “scan to identify “ followed by asking you to take a picture which it then keeps but it does nothing after that. No instructions on how to use CameraDetectorApp . You CANT even view the “facts” page without subscribing! I’m sorry but if u offer some things for free you should be able to view the faq page! I mean really THATS RIDICULOUS.

The infrared detector points the camera at the user with no way to switch to the back camera. On the screen for magnetic detection they lay an ad on top of the start button. I know app developers want to make money but this is one of the most annoying apps I’ve come across when it comes popping ads everywhere, trying to trick you into install some QR reader app and basically be useless unless you pay for premium.

I purchased CameraDetectorApp only because that if it works, $6.99 a month would be worth it.
However, after using it for 1 month CameraDetectorApp is a real gimmick! No instructions on how to use it, but the ultimate was the test of the “Hidden Camera Detector.” I jut pointed the phones camera lens, and all of a sudden, everything had a hidden camera! Door knobs, etc. Lol, even pointing my phone at the wife displayed two hidden cameras up her nostrils!

Buyer beware…

They just want that one payment before you delete it. Best case scenario for them is you forget about it and they can just keep charging you before you finally delete it. I was an army intelligence NCO for 11 years. Are equipment that did this was at least 10 grand. Don’t waste your money. I just wanted to see what the thing did I’m deleting it now.

Just another cookie cuttter “download my spam ware app” then pay to use it and find out CameraDetectorApp doesn’t have the ability to detect or identify a spy camera EVEN if it connected to the device via Bluetooth.
Honestly the kind of people who develop apps like this are the equivalent to them that make their money deep throating radiator hoses only to run give it all to their pimps pimp.

Doesn’t show you anything, even after they’ve charged you an initial fee. You paid that initial fee, thinking you were gonna see what they advertised you see. You won’t be shown anything. You are gonna get another request to pay more to “upgrade to premium” they asks you for even more money. It’s a scam.

I paid $6.99 for this and it’s a hoax. I used the lens detector in front of a camera that I know I have and it didn’t work. I hid another cell phone and it didn’t detect the lens. Infrared detectors don’t detect a thing. I even tried it on my remotes. It did detect my WiFi, but that doesn’t take much to do. Now I’m worried that I have installed something o. My phone that I shouldn’t have.

Couldn’t tell if it actually worked before paying $50!?!?! for it. The ads are obnoxious and inhibit any use of CameraDetectorApp. When I could finally get through the backside of the ads, it seemed to just draw a green box around random things. Feels scammy.

I wanted to see if a security camera at work was turned on or not so I pointed CameraDetectorApp at the camera and it did not detect a camera lens. Same thing with my laptop camera. I don’t think the magnetometer is real either. This all exists to get you to turn on location services and display advertising. It’s basically spyware.

Perhaps I have the wrong app for the spy camera I purchased several weeks past. However, it does not want to connect to the camera no matter how hard I try. I am not impressed as it is so far useless to me as a toy with no purpose.

CameraDetectorApp offers nothing without the upgrade, which is an exorbitant $7.00 per week. A more cynical person might think the developer plans on you assuming that’s a monthly charge and you are too lazy to review your card statement.

Pointed straight to the camera I knew was there and this not pick it up. Picked up the tv it is sitting on and called it a microwave. It wouldn’t let me submit one star so I changed it to two. Every nickname it requires was taken. No way a random twenty digit name was taken.

pulled up 9 Items gave NO INFO 3Xs, then tried to charge me full 6.99WK! Detected 3 other alerts and went to home page and had locks on ALL items showing! may be worth it but should have transparency clearly stated so time is not waisted. I will find another app with professional services.

I tested CameraDetectorApp in my own home. First, I scanned my tv armoire, where I know our Nest camera is. It picked up the metal bracket on the armoire door as “Accurate 90% hidden camera.” It never picked up the actual camera. Next, I scanned the computer desk. It highlighted a picture on a pamphlet of national parks and said “Accurate 71% hidden camera.” I finally went back to the known camera and got closer and pointed my phone directly at it and nothing else. CameraDetectorApp said, “Accurate 35% hidden camera.” With this, you’d have to know where the hidden camera actually is, and that negates the purpose of CameraDetectorApp .

What is the distance that this site ranges from. I live on a quarter acre property. Should I walk around property or will it detect the whole property? So far CameraDetectorApp has helped me feel more at ease because I had a stalker that would not stop & I got restraining order so I think he put up secret cameras while I was at work!!!

My neighbors were spying on me via car camera so I purchased CameraDetectorApp. In quick succession, I monitored their car CameraDetectorApp detected a camera and within 30 minutes the police arrived at my door.
I never called the police or touched their car. However they are obviously monitoring me and made the mistake of calling the cops,
The officer was great, he had the neighbor move their car, mission accomplished, my privacy and peace is returned. Great app, highly recommended.
