It’s marketed to subscribers as a what to have this AI reply for your messages, but it doesn’t. It asks for access to your whole keyboard, so that you can utilize it in this manner, still doesn’t. You still have to respond and reply to your messages yourself and then copy or paste your text onto TypeAI . It will then do what spellcheck already does.

Also once it does ask to paste a text, so that it can reply. It gets stuck on the original text sent to you. It literally keeps wanting to reply to the same message. Again, you’re still doing your texts not the AI app. I can’t believe that I subscribed to the Pro subscription for unlimited access. It’s horrible and I’d like a full refund.

No swipe to type, no spell check. Awful and intrusive to myprivacy. Used for 3 mins. Worst $39 ever spent. Would have been two minutes if it weren’t so dang hard to type on this keyboard!!!!! Not an add on to the keyboard we love. A whole new, awful keyboard with bad gpt prompts you can’t personalize.

I just purchased the pro membership but I cannot use the feature in any of my apps. I followed the steps and it says my keyboard is ready. I just paid for nothing… this is ridiculous…..

Has a picture saying it works in every app and had a picture of the Snapchat logo but it does not even show up. Honestly upset worst 30$ ever spent I’m the idiot but maybe one day it will work

Privacy policy is terrifying and vague enough to cover their assețs. Reading Terms of Use is even more terrifying.

TypeAI FAQ clearly states that refunds are not even possible. Terms of Use state that they are capable of requesting Apple to send you a refund.

After following the instructions correctly and allowing full access from settings, TypeAI still asks me “Please allow paste to reply”.
This setting never popped up at all. I tried restartding my phone and still no hope.

Doesn’t follow language set in application so if you a multilingual good luck. On that point, hope you don’t write in one language but then you language is in format for another because it will just get rid of your signature during grammar check. No swipe support so carpal tunnel much?! Also autocorrect is horrendous to the point that not even AI can figure out what you were trying to say which is super annoying since I can’t swipe type and also can’t switch to keyboard layout I’m used to which is super ironic because the application is in Spanish while giving me an English keyboard. I always use the Spanish keyboard because it’s just easier than switching and no other applications have an issue with switching app language to different than system default, especially not when they even confirm that setting in settings and app seems to check in that language. Just ugh. I use regular ChatGPT regularly and never have these problems.

I tried activating TypeAI so i did what it said but then when it said “activate this app” and “long hold on:” (sorry they don’t have an emoji of it) I did what it said an it would not work, then I tried typing and it still wouldn’t work, I clicked all the buttons but nothing was working! This might be my phone, but if it isn’t it’s a MAJOR ISSUE

TypeAI seems to work good until you ask its opinion on your sentence, and then, if you choose to change, be prepared to have both sentences sent to the person! This happens every time you try to change a sentence you’ll have to sit there in manually delete yours and try to figure out where the new one starts and where yours ends and it’s annoying and half the time you’ll send broken Vita messages because the stupid app doesn’t understand swap out your sentence with the other one I highly recommend you save your money and just type it yourself and go on with life as this thing will do nothing but embarrass you and waste your time

Another app that lets you download it for “free” but is 100% pay to use, and a subscription at that. It’s one thing to pay for advanced features or after so many uses a day/month but to list TypeAI as free then not even be usable without a purchase is dishonest and scammy.

In order for the keyboard to work, you have to agree to give TypeAI full access (described below). In addition to these ridiculous terms, they flash this so fast, presumably so you won’t realize you’re giving them access to anything you’ve typed. Shady shady shady. I just wasted $39.99 for lifetime access to an app that I immediately deleted.

So far ive only had it for an hour and it is helpful but just after I pay $40 dollars I expect to not have my whole keep key board turn into an ad for rating TypeAI , like I just gave you guys my money for something that can be used for free. I get it you guys want more money and it’s never enough but that’s gonna push people and customers away. Trust this if you make it about the customer strictly and not how you can profit more and more of the customer that already gave you money, you will have the greatest results. If I didn’t get a rate TypeAI 3 times in the first hour, I would’ve given it 5 stars. If I get interrupted again by TypeAI for this nonsense, I am going to cancel the charge, delete it and write terrible reviews on every thing I can find for TypeAI.

I hate apps that you learn that you must pay to use it only after you download it. Bait and switch! Let users know ahead of time that they need to pay! 🤬

Your first red flag is that you only get 3 days to trial it. That’s not enough time. 14 days should be given.
Your second red flag is the cost disparity between the weekly and yearly costs. TypeAI is so terrible that they try to lock you into a year long agreement as quickly as they can before you figure out that Chatgpt is free and does most of the same functions except there’s no keyboard integration.

Read the negative reviews - they are spot on about the poor functionality of the keyboard. You will laugh when try it out if you haven’t paid any money. If you paid, you might not.

I recently downloaded TypeAI and canceled within an hour. I had high hopes of finding a versatile and seamless app that would enhance my smartphone experience. However, I'm disappointed to report that TypeAI fell short of my expectations in two critical areas: performance and integration.

From the moment I installed it became evident that it significantly slowed down my phone. Opening TypeAI itself was a sluggish process, and navigating through its features felt frustratingly slow. The long loading times hampered my productivity, making TypeAI more of a hindrance than a helpful tool.

Considering these significant drawbacks, I find it challenging to recommend TypeAI to others. The noticeable performance issues and lack of seamless integration greatly hinder the overall user experience. Unless significant improvements are made, I would suggest exploring alternative apps that offer better performance, integration, and a more user-friendly interface.

Even when giving it full access it would not work. It would not even show up on the globe thing in the bottom. I allowed for full access, I restarted phone. And re installed the keyboard. The only thing I did not do was subscribe. I did not want to pay for a full something with out testing out the basic features first.

I had to remove the next day. When it’s enabled, the user experience in trying to use the keyboard normally was too different from usual Apple IPhone touchscreen behavior. (I had immediate trouble with the touchscreen responding to my inputs… Lots and lots of typos, it didn’t allow me to slide the cursor around a text box in the usual way… Instead of being able to move the cursor up, down, left or right, it only allowed to go backwards in a straight linear fashion… So if you had to correct something, i literally had to drag the cursor through each line just to get to the point that you wanted to make the correction. Way to inhibitive for me to continue using it at this point.

Its not the ai. It seems as though it turns iff auto correct because now i soend all my time correcting words that used to correct themselves.
Ex. If i wasnt bacjsoacing ti fix things constantly thus is what my text wouod look like and thus just doesnt cut it. Did u guys turn off the autocorrect because this is useabke as it is

At first I was super excited about TypeAI, I had high hopes for its use in my small business. I even convinced my wife to download it and give it a try. First, the functions in TypeAI are incredibly promising, however it’s running a GTP 3 Ai, which is a free software, and not worth the subscription cost. Second, if gives you an option to make a one time purchase in the beginning, but once you try it, the buyout price turns into an annual subscription fee.
Third, which is the most important factor, typing functionality issues. My wife uninstalled that app the next day and told me that it’s counterproductive. It makes typing incredibly difficult, resulting in mistyping and embarrassing mistakes. The most annoying part of this issue, is that it’s hard to switch back to a standard keyboard for proper typing.
Fourth, when trying to proofread a multi sentence text, it only gives you one sentence option, and completely ignores the rest, making that option useless.
After a month of struggle, I deleted TypeAI .

The keyboard has many flaws. I have to keep switching back to the iPhone keyboard for the keyboard to work properly. When I want it to correct my grammar, I don’t want them telling me what I can and can’t say. Just shut the f up and keep your opinions to yourself. That’s the problem with AI, the people that develop it we are subjected to their ideology and opinions which I vehemently disagree with on most everything it tries to dictate what I can say or should say. I bought it before IPhone came out with it’s version of grammar check.

I will not be renewing my subscription just based on how many times it tells me I can’t post something.

If you like what they tell you to say then be a good little boy or girl and do what you are told.

The actual AI works well. The tone changer is terrific. The problem with the translator is that you have to scroll down to your language of preference each time you use it. Most people translate to the same language every time, so to have to scroll through a long list each time is annoying. It should keep the last one you used on top. Finally and big WARNING: it made it nearly impossible to type on my regular keyboard. It became so much of a nuisance that I had to uninstall it. That seems a bit invasive to me.

TypeAI has the potential to be a five-star gem, offering great features and functionality. However, it falls short due to persistent bugs that hinder its operation. These issues have been a major roadblock, preventing me from fully utilizing TypeAI and experiencing its true potential.

Furthermore, the current unavailability of TypeAI adds to the frustration. It's disappointing when an app one relys on suddenly becomes inaccessible, leaving users in the dark without any explanation or timeline for resolution.

With proper bug fixes and improved stability, TypeAI could easily earn a five-star rating. I hope the developers address these issues promptly, as it would greatly enhance the overall user experience. Until then, I can only rate it two stars based on its current state.

Creating TypeAI is the privilege of the developers, but when does common sense not come into play??

The human mind is already adjusted to the standard of the width/height of the keyboard and it’s placement of the buttons.. hence why we can type fast/slow.

Your app once you start changed the keyboard.. You are forcing all users to readjust their typing abilities.. which leads to negative reviews like this or people having buyers remorse and asking Apple for a refund. Your loosing both ways.

Your developers choose this as its preferred path with your narrowed space on the keyboard. Did the owner supervised? Or was it a owners decision to think they are more stronger then the Apple phone and it’s ideology that made them who they are for all theses years of selling their phones.

I only typed one thing to the ai and it said “daily limit reached. Please pay a subscription to have unlimited access.” And if u want people to be smart then remove subscription and pluss u get better rating and more pple to download and more technology and more fun and you yourself (the owner) wont have to pay! If ur the owner pls remove subscription or ill sue u i have 100 lawyers and u have probably 1 or 2 lawyers probably 1 like most do! I like it but now not that cool! And if u dont remove it and i come back in 2 months then i’ll hack u bc i used to be in the FBI and i was an FBI hacker to protect country and i have different job now and im still great at it and i have 10 pc monitors and a 25,000$ pc altogether and some of the monitors are on top of each other and dont reply with a dumb AI message that is like “hi im so sorry we’ll try to fix issue but u never fix it!!! I am blind and use voiceover on my iphone. The letters on the keyboard are unlabeled with voiceover. Other than that, it works okay

Lack of good text correction or auto spell check makes this keyboard way more clumsy to use.

Unable to write this review with TypeAI . Checked. Everything is on and selected and given full access yet can’t select the keyboard here. It’s avail in text messages so that’s weird. No globe to change keyboard here. So I will be deleting TypeAI . It seems to work in other text but too much hassle and not worth the money

I wanted to use TypeAI on imessege to see if my friends would notice a difference in grammer but it only let me send two messages before it sent me back to TypeAI and said i hit the daily limit.

This is actually the second time TypeAI has become so frustrating. Firstly, I made a subscription for a lifetime, but I am still limited in pro access. I made a complaint to Apple for a refund, but there has been no response. Now, I recently did a week subscription that is supposed to expire on the 10th, but TypeAI has been malfunctioning and I haven't been able to use it. I have spent a total of $45 on subscriptions for TypeAI and I am still experiencing issues.

Technically the keyboard is fully functional. But it's calls slow down the phone badly, even when not actively using the api to chatGPT.

It won't load in messenger for me, but will on notes. Like not even selectable while in messages.

Keyboard is good concept but is rushed. No swipe texting. No customization. Major device lag.

Currently not worth paying for. Just go to a browser and ask chatGPT. It'd be faster.

I love TypeAI and want to love it more but I’m frustrated because the keyboard doesn’t work as well as the standard apple keyboard. I didn’t realize how many errors I type till I was typing in TypeAI. It doesn’t auto correct like the native keyboard so it takes longer and you have to edit it a lot more. AI takes care of some errors but not all. I’m switching back to native till this is resolved. Please improve this. I really want this to be my goto keyboard

I think the idea of TypeAI is great and I'd love to use it, however, I am blind and I use apples screen reader and it's not the most accessible, it also slows my phone down a tun and constantly makes my messages app crash! If they can fix these problems I'd use it.

I would wait to purchase until bugs are out. Im hoping i can get a refund or at least a extended period till its bugs are fixed. It wont let me type anything once you select its options. It also isn’t that creative as the general GPT.
I thought it was just an extension of GPT that links up with your text.
And for those of you that are concerned about privacy on your phone , if that even exists anymore. Lol TypeAI wants access to everything you type.

While you’re typing, if you misspell word, it will not correct it, or even show that it’s a misspelled word. When you hit correction, that part there’s a five star ***** The new keyboard is not the same as my Apple keyboard. Because it doesn’t lineup exactly, I hit a lot of wrong keys. That slight difference in the keyboard is hard to get used to. It is making me learn to type slower so I don’t make mistakes.

I just spent $70 for this for a lifetime because I wasn't going to spend eight dollars a week. I can live with the fact that I spent that kind of money but an hour after I installed this I already deleted it. I am a avid voice to text person and I noticed that the grammar seems to be off and no longer capitalizes words at the beginning of paragraphs since I installed this keyboard. obviously I am referring to emails right now. Wow even now as I write this I noticed it did not capitalize the word obviously at the beginning of this sentence. Even though I deleted TypeAI . I hope that is not lingering effects from TypeAI. Anyway I have buyers remorse and I'm sure I won't get my money back. There are plenty of reviews that will tell you this is a great app, and hopefully the bugs get worked out.

It will allow you more freedom to tryout the program than any of its competitors as far as I’ve seen. It does what it says though, albeit my keyboard seems a little off after I added it to my phone but not to the point of being haphazardly or dysfunctional. Three stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I type a lot I write a lot and I am bad at it not bad in the sense I don’t have good things to say just bad at grammar and maybe I’m a little too wordy anyways I want to use TypeAI when I write business emails and so far it doesn’t seem to work for more than a sentence or two sometimes it deletes the entire paragraph and just leaves me with only one of the many points that were in that paragraph I’m not sure what to think.

I have TypeAI and I love it and can’t wait for future updates. I believe TypeAI would be even more amazing if it had web access and image generation. But otherwise it’s perfect.

This keyboard feels good to use but is missing essential quality of life features. It’s so useful to have all these functions at hand but It’s incredibly hard to type with normally with it.

It feels like it’s missing essential features that comes in the default Apple keyboard like predictive typing and auto correct that makes it a lot harder to type with.

I love TypeAI it helps me correct my grammar mistakes but I don’t like the fact in order to let it correct your grammar mistakes you have to have full access and it might expose your street address and a lot of your personal information but other than that it’s a good app

Chat AI is always fun but my only major frustration is how bad the keyboard is to use regularly. The autocorrect features simply do nothing when using the keyboard and I have to do a ton of adjustments and corrections I don't normally have to deal with just to use it.
I'm aware that's my typing so I didn't rate TypeAI a 3 star but frankly if they'd fix the autocorrect on this then it'd be a 5 star. It's such a basic dependency for most users we don't even think of it so not having that work is rough.

Only complaint is that the keyboard is slow which means typos and grammar are not fixed at the same rate as the generic Apple keyboard.

Great results! The only things I think could use improvement.. better keyboard, less sensitive to typos wuth letters next to each other.. Too many tylis, then no preductive text to fix the typo your keyboard caused by being less forgiving for big thumbs .. Just tried to correct the word“vug” to “big“,. Said ”no replacement found“. The word i was trying to type was ”big“. Fingers werent on the key perfecy b/c your keyboard is too sensitive.. The word “vug” should have been able to predict/suggest the word “big” or bug or anything that a letter next to it could have been mistakenly tapped... Use preductive text more too.. This is the only frustrating thing.. “ no replacements found” i tnink
could be easily improved upon.. Thwre aee easy mistyped eords suggest the most obvious! Im happy to elaborate if needed Thank you!

Needs a bit of updating, like swipe keyboard and the auto correct doesnt auto correct. Other than that TypeAI is preset good. It definitely will help with your texting

TypeAI itself works as intended and very well at that. Although I am currently experiencing a bug where when I open TypeAI it crashes instantly but the keyboard extension still works. TypeAI also is difficult when you want to correct something the cursor stays where at the end of the sentence or statement.

I absolutely love this product. Some business things I need to write to personal text and memo it is a fantastic product. I don’t know how I live without this product. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I am just so grateful that I have it in my arsenal to make myself more efficient with what I do in my day-to-day life.

I was original interested in grammer tool since my annual Grammerly is coming up. this app not only a lot cheaper than Grammarly but also just one time fee. The grammar tool works even better than Grammarly. But what really excites me is its Ask AI tool. It becomes my best friend and I no longer need to Google everything. It is also multilingual and can translate stuff for me flawlessly (almost). I don’t normally give reviews but I think this is best app I have ever purchased so far.

I love TypeAI and its spelling and grammar check feature. The only minor issue I've encountered is that sometimes when I press the globe button to switch languages, it glitches and doesn't switch. TypeAI has helped me and my husband a lot. We both are bilingual and often struggle with proper English. We both did lifetime subscription. One thing that they really need to improve to help me is the languages. I wish they also add Brazillian Portuguese into the translation language not only Portugal Portuguese. If you read this, please please add Brazillian Portuguese into the translation language. Thanks a lot!!!

My warehouse managers first language is Spanish, and he struggles with English. We found that chat GPT’s translations are much better than Google translations. TypeAI lets me easily convert my text messages to him in Spanish and vice versa. It’s been working great.
I don’t find it particularly great, though for large tax or reviews like this. I still use Google bard for my larger documents.

I absolutely love TypeAI. I love how you can change the text in your message to any mood you’d like. You can also translate your txt to so many different languages. It literally gives me a piece of mind when I need to send someone a big and long txt message

I have a deep appreciation for this AI technology. Its exceptional performance prompted me to purchase lifetime subscriptions for both Android and Apple platforms. Moreover, the newly added keyboard feature has elevated the quality of my messages to a whole new level. This is the only AI I will be utilizing from now on.

. I really love this product. I have two suggestions.
make the toolbar, so you can edit it and change the order or the things that you use the most. My other suggestion is that you allow to make a favorite language. That way you wouldn’t have to go through all the languages to pick for translating but truly an amazing piece of software.

It’s a really good app I would recommend the only thing is I don’t like to sign up for things so you’re only allowed to use it once a day

I do find it odd how the keyboard option isn’t available for this review though. Due to the time it’s taking me to type all of this out I almost cancelled reviewing it. Just food for thought.

It takes away the instant “auto-correct” feature but gives you more options along with a “check grammar” option. 9/10

It is so good like I made my mom cry. I just send one to my friend because I missed him but TypeAI is amazing and I think this is a five out of five I don’t know either. They should be like 100 out of 100 I don’t know, but yeah.

Wow, it's amazing! Very easy to use and install, and it can even be used for free, which is incredible. If you want additional options, which are really good, the excellent price makes it a no-brainer to download and possibly even subscribe. You'll definitely get a return on your investment; and, it's a small investment with a big return!

Its great I just wish it didn’t have any censorship, chat GPT is politically correct you can tell, I also wished it didn’t type 100% correct, like make some typing mistakes, abbreviations and miss some punctuations to make it more like a real person would type

This is spectacular. Hopefully, I will not hit ‘accept’ and agree to anything political or kicking cute little kittens, but honesly, this is like having my own proofreading expert for a change. I absolutely believe we are all going to Disney World. (typo!!!) (Just Kidding! We are all going to accept and appreciate this!) We will face the grammar police with confidence! Loving it so far! People that write in shortened words like, IDK, or YKIYK….. this may not be for you….
