RoomGPT AI Interior Design Reviews

I was excited to use as an article was written about it. I saw 3 images were being generated one by one, and it was loading more (not sure how many I was getting, it didn’t say). While waiting for the full completion, my phone timed out as I was multi-tasking. I opened RoomGPT again and I had to start from scratch. The credits were used but the images are no where to be found.

This is pretty bad and not working well at all. Can I get a refund?

I tried for my living room to get ideas but it Generates the images that are not possible to transform your room. This tool doesn’t has proper understanding of windows, walls and ceiling. For my living room it has converted the walls into glass windows, and existing window into tv.

ALRIGHT THIS IS THE LAST STRAW! IVE BEEN REVIEWING ALL OF THESE SNEAKY LITTLE “INTERIOR DESIGN AI GPT MAGIC” APPS THAT ARE “FREE”! AND THEY ALL LIEEEEEEE. I UPLOAD ONE PHOTO AND IT GIVES ME A DECENT IMAGE! SO I WAS LIKE, “Okay well i’m gonna try again from a better angle.” So I switch my angle and say click take a pic AND IT EXPECTS ME TO PAY A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION FOR A APP THAT IM PROBABLY ONLY GOING TO USE LIKE TWICE! I JUST WANT TO REDO MY ROOM AND I NEEDED INSPIRATION BUT NO! ALSO i read through your sneaky little description and it fails to mention the in app purchase. AT LEAST THE OTHER ONES KINDA SAID SOMETHING! This is nonsense and i quit.

Paid $9.99 for one day access and I should’ve known better when they don’t even offer a two day trial. Literally everything else on the market that is either free or provides a free trial is multiple times better. I don’t think this is even worth my time if it were free.

I purchased one week and immediately regretted it. The interface was glitchy and would not allow me to press the correct selections. RoomGPT more often then not blows up trying to generate a single image. The results are limited to odd styles.

It’s a waste of money due to a set options of themes and no customization. How is a theme ikea?!?!? I took a picture of my bathroom and empty kitchen and the images are horrible once it generates

I don’t understand why anybody would subscribe to RoomGPT without being able to try it out first?!
What if it doesn’t work? What if it’s glitchy?

App worked a few times and then consistently locked up.

RoomGPT is still in its pre infancy stage. More like embryonic… but strong embryo. RoomGPT itself is capable of very little… unless I misunderstood its purpose.

And the weekly billing is snakey & predatory 👎🏽

THE PRODUCERS OF RoomGPT ARE “MONEY DESPERATE”! The is no ability to try RoomGPT to see if you, the customer, find it “user-friendly” easy to navigate and use. Nope! It is strictly “Pay US FIRST BEFORE YOU CAN SEE IF YOU LIKE OUR APP!” locked. As soon as you launch RoomGPT , it opens to a desperate “Pay US!” app page, in which you, a potential customer, cannot “X” out of to do any further retail inspection of RoomGPT to see if it contains any features you may find interesting or easily know how to use! No, built in app tour or “user-friendly” respectable tutorial!…nothing but that desperate “Pay Us!” app page!

Only an idiot, with no respect for their personal finances, would make the mistake of throwing money at an app that does not allow you to “try it before you buy it” or in which its producers cannot even be bothered to go to the trouble of creating a proper, respectable tutorial that explains the features of it’s own product! It is just “Give me! Give me! Give me money, like you can pick dollars off a proverbial “money tree,” before you can learn anything about our product!” which is just a SHAMEFUL and EMBARRASSING reflection of the producers of RoomGPT!

lol there’s no way RoomGPT has a genuine 4.5 star rating when their highlighted review is negative. You have to pay to use RoomGPT to any degree so I’m just going to delete RoomGPT . Allowing a one-three day trial or even a demo mode where you can only generate the decor/layout for one or two rooms before having to subscribe would make sense. But because they won’t let you do anything before you pay them, then I come here and the people who did pay had nothing good to say, so I’m going to pass.

I purchased RoomGPT to rethink some choices and RoomGPT does not give you options for your entire place, like closet, hallway, etc. the options for the type of design you want are limited, and the images are low quality.

Do not spend the money on RoomGPT. It doesn’t give you the option for a free trial, the options are so limited, and it glitches constantly. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Not only is it beyond limited it barely functions

I tried RoomGPT to get ideas for our new house. I uploaded a picture of our bedroom and selected coastal style. RoomGPT generated an image that included extra features, such as a full wall of windows in the room. I didn't need new windows; instead, I was looking for design ideas for the existing layout.

RoomGPT is really completely worthless. It won’t generate anything after you upload a photo. It just sits on the loading bar, zero results. Waste of money and time. RoomGPT Store should not allow the producer to list RoomGPT.

Design choices are worthless. Nothing traditional or transitional. There is actually a ‘tribal’ choice…very bizarre. Can’t imagine many people wanting that. A very poor spend for the 3 min I used it, as there are no refunds. Trust me-skip RoomGPT.

Trying to design a minimalist or modern living room, but the generated images were mountains. When I tapped “App Support“ in the Apple Store, it said the website connected with RoomGPT was not safe to visit and Safari wouldn’t even let me go there. I canceled my subscription, as I got absolutely no help with room design. I would really like a refund, please.

If you add a photo of an empty room it doesn’t add furniture you can not do text prompt it just modifies a photo with furniture but nothing useful as it doesn’t recognize walls very well and sometimes will think a couch is a wall. Anyways not worth the money

Limited selection of terms. I expected a freeform input so I could describe my style, but instead there’s only like 20 terms to choose from.

There’s no demo or trial, you pay, then you find out that this is basically a demo app. It’s not worth the $7 just to try this.

Performance is slow, frame rates jaggy on iphone 15pro.

Just use something like a TikTok filter, it’s actually much better and it’s free.

No style or preferences. No edits. If you don’t like the 4 options given too bad. Disappointed I wasted money on RoomGPT.

I am looking elsewhere for an AI designer.

I got to upload one pic and it did a pretty cool job. I tried to upload another, and I immediately was expected to pay to continue. 😒

Ummmm….this did not work at all. I took a photo of my modern living room and it gave me 4 photos of a mountainous, snowy area. Each photo, nothing but mountains.

It only lets you do one picture, then it asks for you to pay.

Uploaded a picture of the room I needed inspiration for. All I got was landscape photos for ideas.

The designs are so unrealistic and horrendous, dont waste your money

Free to download and gaze at interface. Avoid with so many options for free.

I read a few articles about the features and decided to give it a try. If you want a simple suggestion on changes, this may be your tool as long as you “fit” into the pre defined styles they have selected. IKEA is actually one of the choices! Also there is no opportunity to fine tune or remove elements - nor is there a way to request a feature or color scheme. This was a complete waste of money compared to other options that actually build rooms as you describe ( traditional, eclectic, bright,airy, white, - mirror, - wood). The only thing your 60 dollars provides is unlimited renderings of what THEY think you should do.

a great game for a first try and I like it for a long time but I don’t like the idea of the mechanics being a lot of fun
