Tracking medication is EXTREMELY annoying

I was using a different migraine app, but they are no longer supported, so I’m the hunt for something new. I have some meds that I need to wait a few hours until I can take more, and others that I can only have so many in seven days. The old app that doesn’t work anymore would show all of that in a custom report. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to view a report (that you need to email yourself, because MigraineTrackerDiary doesn’t have that ability). MigraineTrackerDiary won’t even give your true MIDAS Score.

Easiest migraine app to use

Finally a migraine app with a simple interface and a widget! I don’t want to obsessively track every tiny thing about my migraines when I *have a migraine*.

My only complaint is that it really really needs more functionality related to medications. There’s also no way to log a medication when you don’t have a migraine, when the whole point of triptans is to PREVENT an attack! I’m currently having to use a different app called Chronicaling to track my meds which is not ideal.

In addition newer long acting treatments like Botox and emgality are unrepresented. It would be extremely helpful to be able to notate them as a small dot or something on the calendar so one can see if they helped over time or not.

Very good tracking system

I use this to track my headaches and migraines. I’ve been a migraines software for a very long time and this helps me track my triggers what I’ve taken the did not work steps I’ve taken that did did not work and how long they last. And then you can graph it so you can actually, have a better understanding of what may cause or may help. I only gave it four stars because I feel like something is missing. It could be better, but with that said, I can’t think of what it would be.

Very user friendly!

MigraineTrackerDiary helps you step by step through your head pain. It has helped learn about things that I just thought was pain because of the migraine but instead are warning signs that I will have a migraine. It also shares way to find/get relief. But the reason I gave this amazing app a 4/5 is that I wish the pain scale had options between the three dots because i can’t choose between the first two many times. I also would love the options to add at what time it started and ended in addition to how long the migraine lasted.

This is helpful

I've had headaches for a long as I can remember and am so used to them I don't think about them. But they are becoming more bothersome now. A doctor ruled out anything neurological so I am checking with other specialists and decided to try a teacher. This one is very easy to use. I just wish you could use a slide to measure degree of pain - this one let's you select Low /Medium/High but sometimes it's in between. Also some of my pain is at the top of my nose - I wish I could single out that area. But overall I'm very happy with it.

Best free migraine tracker app there is!

This is a comprehensive app for tracking your migraines, including walking you through each step of identifying where the pain is located, possible triggers, relieve methods you have used, etc. MigraineTrackerDiary is user friendly and generates data on what you’ve inputted. I am currently working with my doctor to find the right medication for my migraines and I can’t wait to go to my next appointment and show her the data generated from MigraineTrackerDiary! Honestly MigraineTrackerDiary ’s features makes it feel like a paid app, but it’s free! It never pesters you to do a free trial or upgrade. There are no ads or annoying popups. It’s a simple and beautiful app that does what it needs to do with no annoying ads and popups that other free apps have.

Great way to log my Migraines & Headaches

Although I can’t use MigraineTrackerDiary to report my migraines and headaches directly to the VA, I use MigraineTrackerDiary to log each event as it happens on my phone. When I am ready to create a report I use MigraineTrackerDiary as a guide and copy my text entry.

When I copy the text entry on my phone, it shows up as a clip on my MacBook Pro and I can just paste it into my Pages app report document that I will send a PDF version to my VA Doc and/or VA Rep.

Love it!

Very helpful questions for each migraine, lots of options for symptoms to choose from, love that you can map where the headache is located throughout head, love how many things are considered for triggers and that you can personalize and add various things I tried to help my migraine and which medications I took. Helps me organize all the things to consider when logging migraines

Excellent but just started

Just started using MigraineTrackerDiary. So far I love it but have a suggestion: I’d like a way to log notes on days that I did not have an attack. It would be helpful to log when I started a medication or if I was able to do something like me the lawn and NOT get a migraine. As far as I can tell, I can’t log something unless it is associated with logging a migraine. Otherwise very helpful so far.

Time Approximation

I appreciate that there is approximation for the date/ time, as that isn’t info I’m keeping track is when my head hurts or info I care to track in the first place. Having to put in exact times has put me off a lot of other apps.

That said, exact times were added in the last update for those that want them, though I’m personally not thrilled with the UI changes 😆

Customizable!

Can customize to be as simple or as complex as you need. Much easier to use than some of the other apps that I have tried. Has educational resources without being overwhelming.

You can track time, severity, pain location, symptoms, triggers, meds, etc. my favorite app so far. Also shows you a simple analysis over time. Days you have used an abortive meds in the last 7 days, migraine days in the past 30 days, etc.

There’s also shortcut options / widgets.

Couple things I wish for

I really do love MigraineTrackerDiary. One thing I will say is that I wish that along with tracking how long your migraine was and the severity and what medications you took and the symptoms you feel for this migraine. I wish that if your migraine lasted 5 days, I wish I could track each day differently. For example: if day 1 my severity is different than day 3 and if my symptoms vary from day to day, I wish I could put those in per day not just per migraine attack if that makes sense

Great for tracking headaches/migraines

I’ve tried a few other trackers, but I really like this one. It is quick to log a new or past event (I kind of hate that all the trackers call them ‘attacks’), but I feel like it asks helpful questions to figure out what might be causing them and/or what helps. I’m still trying to nail down the true frequency and timing of mine so I can accurately report back to my doctor. This is also the first tracking app I’ve used that logs whether my monthly cycle is also happening, which is helpful for me. Another app I tried wouldn’t let me log a past event when I was in the middle of ‘an attack’ which was super frustrating and resulted in me not remembering to come back and log it later.

Best migraine tracking!

I’ve tried a few and this is by far the best migraine tracking app I’ve ever found. Prefer it over migraine buddy for it’s simplicity. MigraineTrackerDiary allows you to quickly hold and log a migraine while you are suffering from one and you can go back and log details later. With the help of MigraineTrackerDiary I finally figured out exactly how many I was getting a month and what some common triggers were. I took the report from MigraineTrackerDiary to my doctor and it helped me get the right medication!

Way better than just using my calendar!

First time using a migraine tracker and I love how this is set up, it has lots of options for symptoms/triggers/etc and I love that you can add custom info in each section. Also love that it let me remove period tracking data easily. I also love the they include sources for the info included on the front page! Overall the display is easy to read and use, love that it has dark mode too. Haven’t had any issues with bugs so far.

Helpful supporter to keep my migraines documented well

Overall I very much appreciate MigraineTrackerDiary so much! What I do miss is having the option to also document headache days aside from migraine days in a different color so it’s more visible for my insurance, neurologist etc. to see how many pain, and migraine days I have each month. Having very frequent chronic migraine, makes MigraineTrackerDiary so important to keep all in track, so that I have access for medical therapies. Maybe this is a feature that can be added. But in the great overall I am very grateful for MigraineTrackerDiary!

So much more convient then a journal

Been using MigraineTrackerDiary for a few weeks now. I go to the neurologist Friday. She always ask me abt my migraines and triggers and I never rember so this is a great way to keep track.

You can just export the report for easy viewing for your doctor/neiplogist. I normaly don’t get reviews but MigraineTrackerDiary is worth it. I got diagnosed with chronic migraines and I’m tryina figure out how to stop them and tracking them with MigraineTrackerDiary is so easy.

Every symptom, trigger, medication, exc is customizable to fit your needs. App is very subtle appears like a typical period tracker app.

There’s a function in which you can just log the migrane as mild, moderate, or severe. It’s easy when you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to fill out the details. Just go to the calender and click the date and select the severity.

Constant reports on how often you’re getting migraines and no in app purchases 🙏

I 100% recommend MigraineTrackerDiary and if you can donating 3 bucks to the developers such a lifesaver.

LOVE THIS APP

I know everyone says they love every app…. But let me tell you. MigraineTrackerDiary is amazing especially when my neurologist asks me “how many headaches have you had. Do you remember what triggered them?” Well.. MigraineTrackerDiary asks you all the questions and THEN puts it in a graph for you (each category) so you don’t have to go back through each attack. I told my neurologist about MigraineTrackerDiary and he now tells his patients about it because he wants us all to track. I have chronic migraines and this is so simple and helpful. It keeps me on track and I don’t have to keep track of the paper either. Give MigraineTrackerDiary a chance!

Fantastic !

MigraineTrackerDiary is great! And it’s free! I donated the $2.99 anyway because it’s worth it and I like to see it remain free for everyone.

It has all the features I can think of that I’d want in a headache tracker (time of day, location of pain, duration, possible triggers, pain relief methods, notes section just in case), you can look at trends by various factors, and you can export your data.

There is one glitch on the screen where you select pain location, but it doesn’t affect the overall experience/quality of MigraineTrackerDiary . I sent a message to developer & hopefully it will be fixed. Regardless, it is still a 5star app.

wow. best app ever.

MigraineTrackerDiary is so incredible!! from the easy to use functions to everything being customizable and for FREE!! i can’t get over how helpful MigraineTrackerDiary is, easy to understand and customizable and doesn’t bombard you with subscriptions and ads, they just want to help! cant recommend enough and will definitely be sharing with others.
