I downloaded AIChatCompanion, immediately paid the $10 to use my API, now it's saying I have to pay monthly or yearly to use. Feel completely ripped off and it was a bait and switch. Was happy to support the dev but when you take money then basically ransom me for more no thanks.

Does not seem to have access to many sources - says men’s basketball Final Four date for 2023 has not been set - wrong. Doesn’t have access to live weather or sports scores. Slow response to other questions. Not worth $10 to tie into Siri at all. ChatGPT website experience far better.

FULL PASS. I was going to get the dev a chance to fix this issue before I posted a review but I typed out the whole long thing and then it didn't submit cause his site is terrible. So, fork that.

This apps may save your chat history but do not be confused AIChatCompanion does not fully utlize the API calls for OpenAI. It may appear that you chats are saved but because the develper fails to use the CoversationID or SessionID so ChatGPT does not reference any previous chats sent.

However, the developer has opts for a single chat view giving the impression that ChatGPT will reference and learn from those previous chats. This would make Lori a huge productivity boon. Instead every single chat is sent to the API naked and alone only to return the most basic of results.

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. This dev has a good idea but AIChatCompanion should be passed on until they can fully realize the power of their app (and build it).

I had high hopes for AIChatCompanion and paid $9.99 for an access key. AIChatCompanion will recognize the Apple shortcut but once you are chatting with Lori its a horrible experience as there are delays, you can’t start over easily, its so annoying to use that I found myself screaming out loud.

I emailed the devs twice and never got any reply. I would recommend AIChatCompanion if you want to lose your mind or have decided that you want raspy vocal cords from yelling.

I purchased the forever pro version of AIChatCompanion but I can't use Chat GPT for free yet!!! There are thousands of free apps in AIChatCompanion store, and even Chat GPT 4 is free to use, but in your app, nothing is free. This is cheating and stealing money. If this problem is not addressed, I will complain about AIChatCompanion , with all due respect.

After my second question to feel out AIChatCompanion , AIChatCompanion would not let me continue because I didn’t rate their ‘how I like it so far’ review question. Too early to tell one way or the other and a user should not be blocked from continuing to use an app because they decide not to rate it on prompt.

I paid for a year and unsubscribed so it wouldn’t auto-renew. It then made it seem like I have to buy it again. Finally after searching all over AIChatCompanion and settings, I found a little gray bit of text that said ‘reactivate’.

I just want a full refund now. I don’t like that kind of predatory app design.

Bought AIChatCompanion for Siri and it doesn’t work well always have error message. Also they always ask to review AIChatCompanion and I don’t want that. Please fix the bugs especially Siri it doesn’t answer

research openai’s usage limits, i am nowhere near hitting any kind of limit. AIChatCompanion is simply failing at executing beyond a few requests after downloading.

wish i could have my money back.

After updating the latest version of AIChatCompanion . I can’t type with physical keyboard on my ipad. Please fix this problem.

It’s a great tool. All of its functionality can be done in Apple Shortcuts, but Lori is a bit easier. The unfortunate thing is that Lori hangs up, crashes, and outright fails about 30% of the time both in-app and via Siri. I spent the $40 for a year of API access and am very happy with it when it works. But until it becomes more reliable, I can’t outright recommend it. If you need something always reliable, use your own API and download a GPT shortcut from Reddit which can do everything AIChatCompanion can do for free. It’s still a good app when it works.

I used it with Siri for less than a day and it was cool. Then it said I had to subscribe to use it any more. I’m just gonna use the ChatGPT app now. I’ll ask Siri to open AIChatCompanion and then do voice to text. A bit slower, but it’s free.

For some reason, Lori doesn’t like to sync individual conversations from one of my devices to the others. Sending an email about the issue (twice) after doing some troubleshooting efforts myself within AIChatCompanion ’s support form doesn’t get a helpful response. Love the concept, but…my experience has been mid.

Is there any fix for this?

I bought Lori, used it for two days then it stopped working showing a “bad URL” message.

I submitted two support requests but never received a response. However, today it started working.

Good app as long as it keeps working.

Lori shows so much potential that I immediately purchased the Pro license (I already have my own API key with OpenAI). In the last week, Lori has helped me find information about a camera I was considering buying, helped write an outline of an email that I wanted to send to a customer and gave me summaries of things I am interested in (like quantum physics) - “can you explain quantum physics to my like I’m five?”

I am still thinking of more ways I can use this but think of it as a research/personal assistant for information.

I like that you can customize different chats. Just above the prompt is also the option to continue the conversation or start a new one. Be sure to select continue the conversation if you don't want it to start fresh. I am using my own api. Also works on my apple watch. Have loaded it on my mac as well.

I love to review new apps! This one has so much potential and if we put more backing behind it, this will be one of the quality ones out there. Answers all of your questions simply and easily..

AIChatCompanion does exactly what I want I to do. Makes using ChatGPT easier on a mobile device. Great job!

But some features needed for better experience:
- please use google voice to text. It can open wide range languages for usage.
- Please update to Gpt4
- please add IO shortcuts
- it’s very useful if add share menu from other applications

I used AIChatCompanion to write a proposal for a nonprofit. It was flawless. I'm 66 and I need re-educate myself to understand the abilities of the AI.

Please show premium paid lifetime in the subscription status view. I want my lifetime purchased to be displayed in FULL DETAIL. As it stands there's nothing concrete to verify status. So far I'm excited about that app. Most ChatGPT apps don't have a Apple Watch extention. I lucked up and found Lori and for $50 bucks a purchased the lifetime service. Thanks for offering that. Can't wait for "Gemini 1.5 Pro & Gemini 1.5 Flash".
