HOW in the H$&! can ANYBODY get through a game with all the obnoxious ads??!!! SERIOUSLY!!! I just downloaded WordYatzy, tried to get through (1) game, and was bombarded with so many ads that I forgot the game I was playing!!!
What a crock!! I’m deleting WordYatzy, and I’m sick to death of these developers who think it’s ok to ram ads down your throat for whatever reason-I really don’t care their reason! I think they’ve gotten very greedy. They should be forced to endure all the invasive, obnoxious, time stealing ads they’ve tacked on to their app! This is all going to come to a head, because people are sick of being taken advantage of!!!

Up front let me say that I would have given this game itself 5 STARS, but because of the excessive waiting time between ads I’m giving it 1 star in hopes that this REVIEW will be noticed and be given serious consideration. AND THAT OTHER USERS WILL VOICE THEIR OPINION AS WELL! Incidentally, I have NEVER written a review for a game app before, but this deserves one. I love word games but rarely have I ENJOYED one as much as I do this one. It’s clever and stimulating and fun. But this game is OVER THE REASONABLE LIMIT for ads. Almost after every move and very long. I am used to and tolerate ads, which is fine, but this is overkill! So because I like this game so much, I decided to bite the bullet and pay to remove them. I was expecting a reasonable amount of about $10 to permanently remove all ads and was shocked to see that I had to pay that amount every few days. This is UNACCEPTABLE! As others have commented, there comes a tipping point where MY TIME IS MORE VALUABLE than playing a game. I will have to say goodbye if there is not a change soon.

Frankly the game is fine initially, until you realize that there is a banner ad at the top forever, every time you make a word you get a random ad that may or may not be skippable. These ads being obnoxious and usually unmuted so you get NSFW noises and whatnot while just listening to music.

You can pay to remove the ads but you only get them gone for less than a week. For like 10 dollars. It’s absolutely insane.

I find it very hard to believe there are this many positive reviews considering the ones ‘recent’ are saying much of what I am. I’m fairly certain that the almost perfect rating this game has is fabricated, because this game isn’t even that good without the ads. But the ads ruin it beyond playability. Horrible company, horrible game, but that adds up given where the company is from.

I genuinely wish i could say this was because of me having a older iphone. but just out of curiosity i got my friend who has a iphone 14 to download the game and honestly, i think it ran better on my phone. I DONT EVEN KNOW how its possible to have worse optimization than pubg. i want to note this was not like this for about the first couple times playing, but after getting by level 5 its almost unplayable. freezes for 5-10+ seconds after every tap. not on any other application though, not even call of duty mobile which is obviously more demanding. the only way this game is taking that much of a tax on mine and my friends phone, is if its running a background program they dont want you to know about. please dont download.

I thought it was bad enough. Pop up ads every word or two that you play. Now today it’s gotten worse. Bad enough that you have to close the ads by pushing buttons multiple times. Now: It automatically takes you to WordYatzy Store Pretty bad now. Good game,fun to play but stop with the pop ups already. Do you developers play this game at all? Don’t you see how bad it is? No? You should try it to see how bad it is. ITS BAD!!!!!
Also the hard opponents are rigged. Bot player which always plays the word FUZZY which always beats you. Game is rigged!

At first I really enjoyed this game. By the second day of playing it went downhill. First you spend more time watching ads than you do actually playing the game. At least 50% of the time those ads freeze up and you have to close out WordYatzy . It’s $10 to get rid of the apps but that’s only for 5 days…
Needless to say while the concept is quite good, the reality is sorely lacking. Ultimately you’ll download this game only to delete the next day.

This game is definitely rigged because the bot you play against will literally have like points of 10 for one word and then 25 for the other, and meanwhile I’ll have like 15 points for one word and 40 for the other. And then I’ll finally get points for a word of like over 100 points and then all of a sudden the BOT gets a word with over 100 points right after I do! And every single time it’s the same thing no matter who I’m playing against it never fails, whenever I score big so do they out of nowhere too! It’s 100% rigged and the Ads are annoying as h3ll and it’s $10 per week just to get rid of them… which is insane! It would be a fun game if you didn’t get smacked in the face with an ad every three words you place! But this game pretty much puts you up against bots so that way they chose who wins or not. And I’ve noticed after you get a winning streak of 5 or 6 you lose the next game and then you lose your streak. I wouldn’t even waste your time playing this if I was you. It’s just another rigged game that just wants you to watch ads to make them rich!

i downloaded the game, played the first 60 second game that basically just showed me how to play and then an ad popped up and i couldn't figure out how to exit the ad so i just closed the game and deleted it. I figure that any game that starts off with ads this quick and allows ads that don't have an x to exit or ads that last longer than 30 seconds or ads are longer than game time ain't worth keeping

This game itself is really fun but it has the most intrusive ads I have ever seen. They interrupt the game you are playing every few minutes and you cant close them out even after you have watched the video. I have to close WordYatzy out then start it over, find the game I was in again. Its very annoying. Don’t play it anymore. I don't mind ads but these are the worst ever. Its not a game its watching ads for other games ugh.

The game is fun but there are too many ads and they are all 1-2 minutes long. And they are constant. Yes, there’s a possibility to purchase “Ad Free” but that’s 10 dollars and only for 5 days. If the ads were reasonable in length, less frequent and/or the “ad free” was a better price and permanent, I might consider reinstalling this game. I’m not wasting my time and neither should you.

This game minus the ad every time a word is put in is so time consuming and frustrating to the point I am ready to delete this game. I understand that’s how you get your money but put them after the challenge is complete. Paying to be ad free is not an option but deleting WordYatzy is.

After you finish a game or return home, watch an ad and spin the wheel for a prize always pops up. The issue is that the “X” to exit from this option is blocked because a banner/leaderboard ad is place in front of where the “X” goes. I can’t click off of this option. I am forced to close WordYatzy and reopen it.

It's unfortunate, because I adore this game. It'll take ten minutes to complete a game having to watch videos after each round. There's an option to pay $9.99 to get rid of the ads, but that's only for FIVE days! I think I'm going to uninstall it bc the ads make it impossible to actually enjoy the game, and $2 a day...for as long as you play...to not be bothered with ads is ridiculous. Make it $20 to eliminate ads forever and I might have stayed.

First, I do enjoy playing this game. However, too many rolls have either all consonants or all vowels or 6 of one and 1 of the other. Today I’m supposed to play 250 vowels and the letter W 15 times but many of the rolls don’t contain those letters except the ones mentioned above that are 6 vowels or consonants. You get the best score if you can get all the blanks filled in but very few rolls have letters to make a 7 letter word. I even pay for additional rolls and take almost every opportunity to spin for prizes. The number of ads is ridiculous and the price to opt out is very high. Some of my goals cannot be met unless I literally play all day. If you’re not competitive and just play for fun, this is a great game.

Word Yatzy itself is a great game! If it wasn’t for the ads, I would give it 5 stars. You can’t even purchase a no ads version. You only have the option to pay almost $10 for some coins and no ads for 5 days. Every other game I have at least gives you the option to pay to have no ads indefinitely. Sadly, I’ll end up deleting and finding another game bc of it

I really like the idea of the game and would have played this all day long weren’t it not for all the glitches. The game freezes quite often and when I kill the game and come back in, it takes forever and the game I was in the middle of is frequently unplayable. Sometimes they have stuff displayed right where the letters would be, so I have no way to pick letters. Other times it will just skip my turn so my opponent gets to have 5 words and I only get 4. And the worst is when I already have my 5 words on the board and it wants me to choose the letters for the next word. But there aren’t any letter and there isn’t anywhere for it to go anyway. The ads are LONG and frequently freeze as well. In the beginning, I had considered paying to stop the ads, but finding out it was $13 for 2 days seems very overpriced. Plus, with how long it takes to play each game due to all the ads, the freezing and the need to restart the game only to have it freeze before I get to do anything, that would be a total waste of money. I am really disappointed because this could have been an amazing game that I would recommend to people.

I love word games. And this format suited me. However, game crashes a lot because of way too many ads that play after each word you put in. Want o get rid of ads? It’s $9.99 for only 5 days of no ads. Why not just make it $9.99 to get rid of all ads forever. Im not paying $9.99 a week. Just feels greedy

The word game itself is enjoyable to play and move up the ranks, however the ad break in several times before you can even play one game and continues interrupting and will not let you return to the game. I usually end up going out of the game to do something else and will come back an hour later and it is still in the advertisement for another game. Unless you really love watching ads don’t waste your time downloading this game.

I was really liking this game but I am getting tired of wracking my brain to try and get the highest score and upgrade the tiles to either have the game glitch and not give me credit. I have had chests not open, no credit for upgrading tiles and just now, I worked hard to uncover all the gems to unlock all the treasure chests and then I didn’t get credited for hardly anything!!!😔 I keep reporting stuff but even that is getting old. It also amazes me what words the game will and will not accept. Ex. It wouldn’t accept ‘voyeur’ but it would accept ‘audad’ and ‘potiche’. Seriously?! I definitely wouldn’t spend any money to play this game!!!

This is such a fun game and I love playing it. I’m pretty good at it, too. But my time is worth more than ALL the ads. There are ads after every single play. Not each level, each play. I could pay the $5.99 to cancel the ads, but that is only for 5 days and again, not worth the price. I’m not spending $36 a month to cancel ads on a game. Money is too tight right now. So it gets deleted for now until the owners decide not to be so greedy and allow folks to play the game without penalty of ads.

I love this game! It’s fun and challenging, but there are a lot of technical issues, especially during the ads, which are a constant part of the game. I don’t think I’ve ever played a game with so many ads; it’s frustrating and sometimes you lose the momentum of competition. Also, the only option is to buy ad free, but only for a number of days. There’s got to be a similar game without all the ads and issues!

I actually really like this game but it’s difficult to play because you literally have an ad after every turn. So, I don’t get to play very many turns when I have down time in my life because it takes so long to watch an ad every time. I also find that if I earn more than one chest in upgrading tiles, I don’t get the rewards for it. The support button in settings doesn’t do anything when I tap it so I’m not sure how to go about getting help. All in all game would be so much better if there wasn’t an ad after every turn played. I don’t have time for that. I’m earning rewards through another app for playing this game. Once that’s done I’ll probably delete this game sadly. It truly is a good game I just don’t have time with all the ads.

1. I really like the game. Installed it on my phone originally. Liked it enough to sign up with my email for an account and so I could install it on my tablet. Never asked me for a password when I set it up but when I clicked on the link for “already have an account” it wanted a password. No problem just click on reset password and set one up. They sent me a password reset link but it goes nowhere. If I click open in a new window it takes me to WordYatzy Store. Not where I need to be.
2. Tried to contact tech support in WordYatzy on my phone and it opened up my little icons for messages Bluetooth, drive, email, Microsoft 360, etc. Apparently support goes nowhere either.
3. Have to agree with the others.. waaaaay too many ads and long! Also if you fat finger an ad trying to close it when that option comes up, its opening up WordYatzy Store or trying to install something. I was going to put it on my tablet thinking that maybe a bigger screen would be better for playing this game. At this point I may have to pass on it. No customer support or lack of ability to find help makes me leery.

Sadly, you have ruined this game with the incessant ads. I PAID for no ads. Then a week later, there they are again. The spinning wheel is NOT FREE, you must watch ad! When I refuse it, You feel the need to ask me if I am sure! You ask for rating, but when you click on rate now, IT DOESNT connect. Shocker Do not be fooled by a great game, tell them to get out of your pocket and off your time clock. At the very least, Get rid of the spin whee. Would gladly pay one time for not seeing that again.

Also, I have earned every level of dice. However I have an accrued amount of points, and emblems to progress in the game, and there is nothing left t spend on. Why ?….

I play this game everyday. I love word games and this one is fun and challenging. I understand that these game makers need to make money (I have spent money on this game) and one way to do that is through ad revenue. The ads are becoming more and more salacious. Tonight while playing every ad was the same Vampires ad. It was like 20 in a row. I finished all of my challenges and now I’m deleting the game. If you have power to choose ads please choose better.

I really enjoy this game. They stole the name from one game and the actual game from another game. But they also really greatly improved the original game ( which I had quit playing because I got so tired of having to wait for my opponent to take their turn, and you could only play one game at a time.). In this game you can play as many different opponents as you want, and you really never have to wait at all. I would be totally addicted to it except for two things. 1) the cost of the extra rolls for new learners is too high. 2) There are too many glitches. My game freezes about every ten games and I have to delete the game entirely and reload to get it working again. If they could resolve these two issues this would be a five star plus game.

… AFTER you’re prompted to review WordYatzy . Then you get clobbered with then. That feels a little deceptive to me, hence bothering to come back, update my rating and add a review.

The game is fun but the ads are many. 🤷‍♀️ You can pay to disable ads, which in general I’m fine with, but $2 per day to do so is a little steep. There is no option to permanently disable them, it’s subscription/temporary only.

Is the game relaxing…. Yes. But Don’t think you’re playing real people, you are not. You can tell just by the stock photos that you’re “opponents” are using. Some are actually so cheesy. Lol. Types of pictures you see in photo frames at the store. You’re playing bots. Also, whenever these opponents request a rematch, after you win against them, they will almost always win. Again, the game to me is relaxing, and I don’t mind challenging my brain, just wish it were against actual people.

Love the concept, BUT, after every game I am offered a free spin, but you have to watch an ad. It says it doesn’t show often, but it is there after every game! I paid for no ads, I still see these ads along with others. I requested a refund as I see no difference in play. There are definitely flaws that need to be worked out.

I would like to play more, but it needs fixing first.

I love this game and would play it nonstop except for the INCESSANT ADS! And, you wanted me to stop the ads for ONE day and pay $1.99! Multiply that by 365 days/year. No way!
Also, I am currently playing a game with someone who takes 1/2 hour or longer between turns. There should be some kind of opt-out on that, some kind of limit. My time is valuable, too!
So, I am not playing as often as I would because of these two issues. Fix them, please, or lose your customers!

I love this game but there are too many long ads. I don’t mind ads. Play lots of games with them and they don’t bother me much. They’re the price you pay to play free. On other games, though, ads for the same things/games are shorter in length, giving you more actual game time. This makes the time you play more fun and you will play longer. Almost seems like a way to make you pay for the 2 ad-free days, which I’m not sure why you would do that in the first place. Such a good game to have such irritation.

I love the game. I play nothing but word and math games. The dictionary of words you have for this game is not complete. There are many many words that the game does not accept that are valid. If valid in scrabble or wordle then should be valid here as well. List many games chasing a word or having it already, knowing its a word to have Yatzy tell me it isn’t. Please update word list. Love the game. On collection level 438. Fabric tiles and better have not been unlocked. Can’t do daily tasks with no tiles to upgrade even though I earned them. Why???????😡

I only gave it 3 stars because I generally delete these games that have soo many glitches I have to fight to finish a game. Every time a commercial comes , (which is after e v e r y single turn), the commercial is pretty much guaranteed that it’s going to lock up or crash. If they were to get thes glitches fixed it’d be one of the top word games.

I spend more time clicking off ads, sometimes having to click multiple times on the same ad to shut it down, than I spend actually playing. I understand the need for ads, but this game abuses the privilege.

There’s an option to spin a wheel for prizes. Sometimes the ad will play but then nothing will happen, or there will be an error message. Then the game freezes. I cannot X out the free spin window so I have to close the game and reopen it, then experience another ad. Super annoying! This ruins an otherwise really fun word game.

The game itself is not only fun but addicting. But the commercials are extremely annoying. I can understand having a commercial after each game, but after every move……seriously?

I realize there’s an option for an ad free experience, but $9.99……really? I’d rather spend that on boosters. Just my opinion, though.

I really like this game BUT there’s a glitch that sometimes occurs when ads are employed for swapping letters. Sometimes the ads never load, the screen is black and whatever points a player has are lost! So frustrating!!!!!! I’m so close to deleting WordYatzy!

I love your game, but I won’t pay $60 a month to get rid of ads. I would pay your $10 if it were for a month instead of five days. That is way too much money for just five days. You would make more money if you would lower your add free price. I would give the game 5+ stars if that happened.

This game is fun but I agree with others, way too many ads and lots of technical issues. I thought it was my iPad at first until I started playing on my phone and still experienced the tech issues (It gets stuck a lot whether playing the game or during an ad)

As much as I love this game, the ads really tick me off. I understand the need for ads, but sometimes they pop up right in the middle of game play, which is really frustrating. It’s also extremely disappointing that you cannot purchase a “No Ads” option. You can only stop ads for 5 days, what the heck?

I would have given you five stars because it is a pretty cool game. But when ever you tap on something an ad shows up. this was my first day playing your game and sadly it will be my last. I cannot continue to play this way.
Add free is $10 for five days there’s no way I can afford to do that. So like I said, I cannot continue to play this way.

I absolutely love this game and I've been playing on my work breaks or evenings or whenever I get a chance but the ad to play ratio is ridiculous and I won't pay $10 every 5 days to remove the ads. I'd pay it once. The banner ads are on to deal with but the ads every time you play a word is crazy. I'm probably gonna delete the game. I don't want to waste my time clicking through ads

This is one of my new favorite games. I play it every day often more than once a day. But I am so annoyed that it claims that my daily challenge streak is broken and then attempts to get me to buy chips or whatever to maintain my streak. I had not broken my streak, and that’s happened three times to me now. I know this is just a game, but it’s fun to try and keep the streak going and it is ridiculously annoying when you arbitrarily say the street is broken. Not only that but I can’t even play the regular game or get back to that regular game because the screen is still saying I broke my streak and do I want to start over or pay money to maintain my streak, this is so low budget and if this is how this game needs to make money, that’s pretty sad. I won’t be buying bogus chips to keep my daily streak going artificially. Don’t insult our intelligence. I hope you can fix this error because I do really enjoy playing the game.

However, it would be way better if you could play a whole game without an ad…I am almost ready to quit the game as it is so annoying to have a bad or a spin the wheel after almost every turn…and the most annoying ads as well! First, so many commercials that it takes the joy out of the game for me. 3 1/2 ⭐️’s are what I actually gave it but 4 is fine. I would rather pay for the game, like games were in the beginning, I enjoyed the play, challenges, etc. but, constant disruption continuously, ruins it for me. I know I could pay to get rid of commercials, (5 days for $4.99?!) Enjoy! It’s great otherwise!

Absolutely love this game. I’m retired so I have a pretty tight budget. I can’t afford the wifi to play very much, but I get some play time in ‘after hours’. Unfortunately I may have to give even that up. There are SO MANY ads!!! I feel like the ad time far outweighs the play time, 🥺. If I had unlimited internet I’d play it all the time!

While I love playing this game lately your ads are way too long and then a lot of time a second ad must be viewed to continue. I understand that you need advertisers and I already know that I can pay a fee and play without advertisements, however, I can’t do that right now. I have mixed feelings about this game. One one hand it is fun, but yet it is also stressful and annoying to me at the same time. Once you reach a certain level the movies become timed moves with no way that I have found to turn off the timer. Being severely dyslexic my game scores have dropped with the timed movies where there just isn't enough time for me to see the better words:

The annoying/frustrating part about the game is that I paid for the no ads but yet every turn there is a chance to get more emeralds, with adds. You can add more time to your move with an add (or emeralds). Often there is a "free spin" that pops up to get helpful things...if you watch an add. What is the point of paying for ads to be removed if you still have to watch an ad for everything??

I really do. I went ahead and purchased WordYatzy to avoid the ads. Perfect. Now I'm constantly playing. However, I get these notices that so-n-so challenged me. How could they? The game isn't live. People have already played and what they've played gets played to the game you're playing.

So again, how does someone challenge me when they don't know who I am? I've never been able to challenge anyone so if you get. Notice that I've challenged you, I didn't. It's the game people.

I love this game. It’s fun and will expand your vocabulary. I played Yatzee as a kid, but this is better because you have to think of the best word to use. If you like word games download this one.

I play games via Tester Buddy. You get points, and cash them in. This game, and another one, both had an offer of installing the game and playing for 15 minutes, you would be paid $50. Well, I did both games, and NOTHING ! I played well over the time, because there are so many adds, that it takes an hour, to play a single game. The game itself was fun, but I do not appreciate being lied to. I sent an email to Tester Buddy, and was told that you guys sometimes don’t acknowledge the install of the game. That’s pretty sad, customer service, on your part. Basically you trick people into playing, with the promise of a payout, and then don’t deliver.

I enjoy this game. However, the ads are the worst. While I’m playing every time I play the ads pop up. Then I can’t purchase the game one time I have to continue to purchase every five days. That’s just a lot. It is a fun game though. Thanks for the moment.

I like this game because there’s more of a challenge than just making words to fit. Unlike any other word game that I’ve played, there is strategizing involved.

The ads though. Just too many. I get the necessity but it’s hard to stick with it.

I love this game. The gameplay easy to understand and doesn't get boring. I think thats how it ended up being one of the few mobile games that I've actually wanted to keep playing pretty much every day since I got it. Also, the UI isn't overwhelming and its intuitive which is important to me.

Its super fun and i like the challenges and achievements in game. Highly recommend 👌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Game is very fun, but got questions click on support nothing. I’d give 5 stars but no explanation, other than tutorial ie, What place I get in tournaments, what the benefit of winning streaks and no chat feature.

As much as I like playing the game the ads ruin it for me. Come on now an ad after each round?! It’s a fun word game but the ads kill it for me!

If you don’t like the ads pay to make them go away. I am not much into games but this is a good mature game and challenging. My only question is how many players are bots. I don’t mind playing bots but I would like to know I an because it affects how competitive I play. Is there a way to know if I am playing a bot?

I love this word game BUT WordYatzy keeps freezing up on my new iPhone 14 plus and I’ve had to delete WordYatzy several times to get it to work once it freezes. Any suggestions??

I love the game but it freezes up all the time. I have to turn off my phone, then back on to unfreeze it. Annoying. So I removed the game from my phone. I’ll try downloading it again to see if that helps, otherwise I will choose a different word game.

I’m picky when it comes to games and at first I was ready to quit playing but gave it another try and got more involved with the other mini games. Now I’m hooked. Game design is cute and pulls you in. The upgrading of tiles is fun as well. Definitely recommend.
