Great for Daily Habits

2025-01-07

by Rebescarlett

I really like the app, but I didn’t realize until subscribing to pro and adding in lots of habits that it is only set up for daily habits. Being able to schedule habit frequency of twice a week, or schedule for certain days, is a significant element in most habit apps, and it’s really important to me. I don’t want to do 100 habits daily.

The categories are great… more like tags. Good that you can have multiple, so you can tag as “health” but also tag as “AM Routine” in order to habit stack.

Solid and simple

I love an app that does exactly what it says on the tin. Works well with shortcuts for automation. Happy to purchase the lifetime pro license. Data seems local so works great no matter your network conditions and you never see a loading spinner

Feature requests:

- support CloudKit for syncing across devices.
- Deep links for specific habits or filters
- add a simple small one click tracking widget. The current widgets should open the selected habit instead of the dashboard too

If you find NFC tags fussy for habit tracking, flic buttons work alright if you have pushcut + an automation server (use the web request action to trigger your habit tracking shortcut).

It’d be great if there was a way to support habit tracking actions in home automations (not just personal automations) to avoid this whole song and dance.

Overall, great application, would recommend to a friend

An excellent habit tracker

I love the simple design and color scheme. It works very well for me as a habit tracker.

I have two gripes at the moment. The first is this: I wish you could tap on the check-mark in the home screen widget at it would just mark the habit as complete, instead of opening up the app for you to mark it yourself. I don’t know if this is an iPhone limitation, or user error, or what, but it would be nice

The second is that it costs money. I think it’s a reasonable enough price to pay, but it’s a little shady that you market the app as free, when the features that make it useful are locked behind a paywall. Just sell the app for that amount on the App Store. Or better yet, let it be free. I don’t see what costs you are incurring providing this excellent service to your fellow men.

That being said, I paid for it, and so far it has been worth the cost.
