Not allowing connection to save

Okay I messaged the company and let them know that it isn't letting me save my progress nor letting me start over with a new account. I can't access ANY of my sign ins as MergeSurvival keeps saying "connection error try again"??? Or something like that. It's frustrating as I have done everything and I mean everything to get it to save. It says to update MergeSurvival store app??? First of all HOW?? I made sure all things are updated. Second, I deleted and re download.... That also didn't work. I restarted my phone. And you guessed it... NOPE! I have tried connecting my progress to social media... To my apple account.... All the options! What do I do?? I even tried making a new account by starting over. And yes I even have so much storage. I deleted so many apps to make sure this would work. Please update app! Or give me some kind of help. I'm desperate here. I love this game and I want to play so much. I don't want to lose my progress again. Please let me know what to do next. And yes I messaged and emailed the company. I followed pretty much all the instructions. Thanks in advance!

Stole from me

I paid $10 for one of their in app additions. You had to complete challenges to get the items and I had gotten pretty far. There was a few days left so I decided to splurge and get the extra items since I had made it so far. I got it on one of the last few days left in the challenge and was slowly working through claiming the items, excited about all of them. On the expiration date I never would have guessed that instead of the remaining items going straight into my inventory, they disappeared! I lost all the items I was so excited to recieve, especially since I paid for them. I messaged support because I thought it had to be an error that they disappeared instead of going to my inventory. They responded telling me it was MY FAULT I didn't claim all the items immediately. I feel any items remaining at the end of the challenge should be given to the person who paid for them and completed all the challenges. I should have never purchased an in app add on, and now I have learned my lesson.

The Message

This is an entertaining game, has interesting survival aspect, and is very pointedly preaching about the concerns of climate change, global warming, and the human hands responsible for making that happen; and that’s great, it’s trying to be educational, and I love that for her. My concern is who the game is framing as responsible; it may be easier for us ordinary folks to consider our actions of recycling, composting, limiting personal single use plastics, etc. as effective enough to stop climate change, but the major culprits behind the destruction of our planet are huge corporations just looking to profit. Shaming and guilting ordinary people is not the solution to stopping the destruction, and spinning that narrative has a chance of doing more harm than it does good. It can make us complacent in thinking that changing our habits alone is enough to stop what is happening to the world around us, not keeping us vigilant in watching what laws are being passed that benefit these companies, what actions are being taken in the green energy sector, what politicians are saying in our local and national communities. Spinning this narrative of guilt doesn’t encompass the full reality or truth of our situation, and although this is just a silly merging game at the end of the day, I caution anyone playing that things are not as simple as they may appear.

Needs some cleaning up

The storyline needs some cleaning up. I also thought Eden was a resourceful young woman as indicated by an editor’s review in MergeSurvival Store but Eden is called a man a few times by level 12. When Sophia appears she tells Eden he’s a good man. Also confusing is… I thought I was playing as Eden but Eden talks to you a few times to tell you how to do things as if you are a totally different player.

The screens with the story lines… journal bits disappear too quickly to read most of the time.

One thing that would help the flow of the game is to allow people to delete items trapped in bubbles. Right now if your board is full… you have to wait until the allotted time passes before it turns into a coin to clear the space. Some items you can watch an ad… I’d prefer to have the option of deleting them. More than once I’ve close out of the game because I’m tired of waiting.

I’m okay with the storyline itself as an apocalyptic setting but it does come off as propaganda and preachy at times, as others have stated- Aimed at the wrong people to deal with the burden of environmental issues.… corporations polluting without consequences. I do think the tips on reducing waste, etc make sense in context that we can all contribute. IF they stayed on the screen long enough to be read.

Overall. I like it. I like the short missions and a storyline to follow. I like the art and graphics. I’m sure it’ll get better and better as the team develops it.

Way too grindy

The game is just way too grind related. I understand they can’t make it too short since if you were just done with the game in a day that would be bad game design. I’m only on day 8 and I’ve been playing for months. It has an amazing and catching story, the gameplay is simple and fun but there’s no reason it should be taking me multiple WEEKS just for some water? They do NOT need all of that water 😭‼️ You might think: ‘oh but theres crafting!’ But you need to spend precious resources that I don’t want to waste on free material. Also, another thing, the things like the still (that gives water) can ACTUALLY break, which is so annoying!! I’ve worked so hard for it just for it to break and to repair it you need to merge it with the same item or pay a ridicules diamond fee. So by that point you might as well throw out the broken item since you’ll be better off starting from scratch. The same thing goes for the solar generator (which gives energy). So good game but until a certain point, from day 5 and onward I’d say unless you’re willing to pay, it’s not worth it.

Fun game, only minor issues

This game is actually very entertaining. The only thing I don’t like is you will have to merge a TON of different items to complete a part of the day and it’ll be like a small table that’s built. I feel like you have to put in a lot of work merging just to get a little reward like a small table. It shouldn’t take me merging for 30 minutes to get a table. It’s a table. They need to make the missions shorter. Less objectives for less rewards. More objectives for bigger camp rewards. If I’m merging forever and only her a table that’s just dumb and a waste of time. Then you you have the tool box. It will give you nails 99% of the time and RARELY give you a glove. Like come on make the randomization better than that. It take forever to get the gloves and by the time I do get one or two I have to wait an hour and a half cause I’ve used all of the toolbox up. Please fix that. Only other issue. Shouldn’t have to wait an hour and a half to start tapping again. Other than that it’s a great game and very fun.

Just wow

This game is a very fun and interesting! I love the art and how cute it is!! It grabs your attention and is fun to play! It can be confusing at times, but that’s just life 😁 I just started playing this game and I already see a mystery of the background of Eden and the future of her too!! I wanted to tell the makers of this game that I love the little comments on how to save our world! I want to take screenshots of every one of them so I can remember and totally do them!! I would have given this game a TOTAL five star review if there wasn’t this one small thing, I do not exactly enjoy the use of words in this game 😅But I have only had this problem 2 so far so, do NOT worry 😁 But, over all TOTALLY LOVE THIS GAME!! Thank you to the makers of this game, it has many tips that can help this world! I hope that people actually try your tips 😊 Have a nice day!!

survived my merge app fixation

i go through phases of getting obsessed with phone games. my most recent one was merge games, which just died out leading me to delete far more than i’m willing to admit off my phone. but not this one!! this one and two others stayed. i love this lil game. it’s so cozy and fun and the story is great! i love the in game pricing— getting energy refills is not a huge expense AND you get infinite energy boosts from time to time?! amazing.

my only issue as of right now is how little space there is. i’m level 15, on day 6. i have NO SPACE ON MY BOARD. i took advantage of the recent sale for the extra storage spaces and have 14, but it really didn’t make a difference. it would be great if we could “send” the items for multi-item quests individually. that would add some space in the short term. it’d also be nice to have more storage or just some way to condense things. i don’t have the budget to spend $10 on only 7 additional spaces. please add an alternative!

One of the best in the genre — but preachy.

This game closely copies the mechanics of other merge games, which means it’s very easy to get up and running. And when you are, you’ll see some very nice QoL improvements. For one, merge bubbles can be popped instantly. When you are strapped for board space, this is a VERY welcome feature! Another difference is when you have a queue of items to add to the board. If you then buy something else, that item goes to the front of the queue, not the back. This means if I’ve spent a few coins to get an item that will help clear the board, I can use it immediately. Generators are also overall the most generous I’ve seen in any merge game, and acquiring pieces for new ones is very easy. Prices for bundles are the same inflated level as most games these days, it seems. However, both coins and gems are easy to attain and save up. I very much appreciate that they ditched the preachy loading screens and replaced them with intriguing mystery hints.

Really good, could use some tweaks

So far I am enjoying this game, the graphics are cute and the story is interesting. I wish that the back story text (journal) that flashes periodically would stop so I could actually read it. I much prefer having to click through any kind of text like that, especially when invested in the story. Furthermore, it would be nice if that material were accessible through a menu option to be read through at will. Just a thought.

Otherwise, this game is great. I really appreciate that paying for stuff doesn’t seem absolutely necessary to play for a while. A lot of merge games really limit play time to just several minutes at a time, and force paying to really get anything done. I don’t mind spending money on a game sometimes but I am glad that I don’t feel cornered to with this game.

Love this game, but ….

Since the last update, the game crashes at least once a day, and I only play 2-3 times a day when I have time. I lose progress every time, because it reverts back to the last save. It’s getting very annoying.

Up till this last update, I loved everything about it. Yes, it’s is energy based, so you run out, but the first time you need to buy energy, it’s only 5 gems. You earn gems pretty easily, so that’s no big deal. Then I usually close the game and wait for my energy to replenish. The only complaint I have is that you have to keep some of the higher level items because you never know when you might need them, and you run out of room quickly. I wish the storage was bigger. Or it didn’t cost $23 to get another line of the merging grid. But other than that, love it.

Please just fix the crashing. I have to do a hard reboot of my iPad every time it crashes.

So about The Climate Change part but…

Only on day 2 so far. I enjoy the amount of story in the background whether it’s the journal notes on the loading screen or the character’s dialog I find it interesting.
The art style drew me in, i’m not normally a fan of post apocalyptic genres I just feel its overdone. I enjoy the fun facts about what can harm the earth and what things such as plastic can do to our environment; I realize all of this is done with the intention of educating people on how to best act when it comes to these issues.
And this is where my “but” comes in so, but…. the narrative and the story about Climate Change and environmentalism seems to frame the common people (those in poverty or in the working class) and their inaction as the cause of climate change, rather than… let’s say for example; multi-billion dollar corporations that refuse to fun green energy because it would cut profits.

Climate Change cannot be simply solved by the working class or below, nor does it fall on those people to remedy it. Nor can everyone go out of their way to eat organically grown foods due to the cost, or even cut down on plastic. It all comes down to money.

I enjoy this game so far. I am concerned however, with portraying Climate Change a very misinformed topic already, in this game as possibly “guilt-tripping” players that they aren’t doing enough to help the Earth.

One of the best merging games out there!!

I love this game so much! It has been one of the only merging games that i don't even think to get rid of. I’ve played so many others and they do not compare to Merge Survival. The only thing is I went through the little stories very quickly and once I finished with smarts story I was kind of sad to see that there weren’t any more or even a notification that there would be more soon. I love the main game so much I play it every hour or two when my energy is restored just bc it’s so relaxing and satisfying to complete the tasks. But those little side stories where you can learn a little more about the characters is just as fun! I hope that we get to see more coming soon!!

Favorite mobile game

I have never enjoyed a mobile game more. I have severe anxiety and this game has helped me unwind more than anything. You can tell how much love the developers have for this game. Everything is incredibly well designed and clearly thought out. One of the only mobile games I felt confident spending a few dollars in because you truly get your money’s worth. Even if you choose to take you time in the game and spend no money it is still incredibly entertaining. I spent several months enjoying this game and sending no money before I choose to have their premium support to play longer. The only time that I have left a review on a game because they definitely deserve the praise. To the GMs keep doing what you’re doing this is amazing.

A great addition to the merge options.

I have tried many of the merge games, and continued to play only a few. This one is a great one. The flow is well paced so you aren’t going too fast, but like all these types of games it does have slower times when you are out of energy. They did right by the player where they can instantly get rid of a potential reward in a bubble instead of waiting for it to expire on its own.
With the added exploration on the over world it adds some others choice as how you proceed and gives another option for spending currency besides your energy.
The bonus collection spots and activities you can do at base camp does more for added play than just looks.
I am still lower level but it seems to be one I plan on playing for a while.

Re review

I already wrote a very detailed review about the many things to love about this game, and A p p l e removed my comment, despite there being nothing I could see in my review that could trigger a deletion. So, I will be brief as I try again. Levels are paced, and they add easier levels between the harder ones. Energy is plentiful, more than any other energy/spending game I’ve played. No forced ads, but watching ads gives you items that have actual value. Not a waste of your time. The devs are very active and responsive. Lots of updates. The story is the best part, with the exception of the blame put on average people, rather than focusing on the biggest contributors to the story’s central issue. At any rate, the game is absolutely worth playing. I don’t understand any comment saying the game is greedy lol like no. I am one to complain about prices, and I don’t complain about this one.

This game is legit

I know it might be like the other reviews but I had to say it myself. I love this game. I’m not much for merge games usually, I find them boring and slow paced, but this one has a good mixture of easy and difficult objectives. Not to mention the story actually progresses really smoothly. Also, you actually get your money’s worth for in-app purchases. Which, embarrassingly, as a whale I know from experience is not always the case. Though this is a game you won’t have to whale for to get through (though if your equipment isn’t at a high rank you’ll start to bottleneck without the Stray Cat Pass’s extra energy to help you).

Also, the Sticky Hands team really cares about the environment. They are always sending out notes about different environmental events and the game is full of ways to cut down on your carbon footprint. I give them way more credit for that than anything else.

Great

The first twelve levels or so are delightful, and for that alone I would give it five stars. I like the viewpoint on conserving the environment, and I like the storyline and the characters. I don’t feel that the developer is out to get me. The tone is gentle.
Starting around level thirteen, however, the game changes. The positives remain the same, but now it is difficult to preserve enough space to carry out operations. While focusing on one particular matching goal, I might assemble a non-essential, high-level other item that I keep around, just in case. The game throws a variety of items at you. One completely essential item has a short shelf life and takes significant resources to regenerate. I have both a surplus of one generating item and a reluctance to sell off the surplus.
It is clear that the game is designed to overtax available space, and your “breaking point” may vary.
But until then, enjoy a great game.

Fantastic

I’ve been playing for months now, and it’s definitely one of my daily or five times daily plays! Not only is the merging and upgrading your camp aspect, super addicting, but I found myself literally playing to advance the storyline, which never happens! The only problem I’ve ever had is I did purchase one of the premium cat event deals where you get some free but if you purchase the premium you get extra rewards. The thing is is, I didn’t claim all of the rewards cause I was waiting till I needed to use them but then when the event ended, it just kicked to a new event and I lost all the items that I had not claimed. An easy fix would be any unclaimed items after the end of the event should just be given to you, I’m pretty sure this was not on purpose or any kind of a scam deal, but I lost out on a lot of good rewards and because of that, I won’t be purchasing another one. Still a must play!

Have fun and learn

We know this world is going the wrong way and we know who is to blame. So, play this game, do your part, learn how to help, make YOUR piece of the world a better place and don’t worry as much about corporate monsters ruining the earth - yes, they are doing it, no we can’t stop them because they’re driven by money hungry selfish people, but we can make OUR part of this world better instead of getting on their train. If every decent person on earth pitched in and helped clean up the garbage left behind by inconsiderate people like smokers who leave their butts everywhere, we’d still need another 7.5 billion people to change and start to help out. I do what I can to be an example and Eden is a hero. Great game. Thanks to Sticky Hands!
