Started out great, then...

I loved this game at the start, but then it turned into such a huge money grab that is almost impossible to get an acceptable design without spending a fortune.
Then, half of the ads to watch to earn a little money to buy items for your design are impossible to quit. I tested it multiple times, even got up and started dinner and fifteen minutes later, the ad was still on with no way to exit without forfeiting the award. The only way to get out of the ad is too forcibly quit the game and go back, thereby losing the award you're supposed to get for watching it in the first place, which is a rip-off in my opinion.
Too bad, it was fun. Now it's just a futile exercise in frustration to get a mediocre design.
Time to chuck it.

Greedy game….

It’s a great design game, however it’s impossible to play unless you invest a lot of your own money. I have no issue paying for good games because they cost to design and keep them going. This one however never gives you an opportunity to get ahead. Daily coin is 1000. Submit a design is 1000. Win in voting is 1000. But average cost to complete one design is 5000, thats on the low end. So unfortunately even after you purchase coins you’ll run out in no time. If they make it fair level playing field I’ll return. But for now I’ll invest in other design games that you get your monies worth.

Calming

So I do enjoy playing this game. There are a lot of commercials and the payouts are very little compared to the in game resources it barely gives and if you don’t have the money for the in app purchases it’s almost impossible to advance in the game. It’s extremely difficult to get the diamonds and they nickel and dime the payouts so that is the negative side, but this game definitely helps me destress even if temporarily, plus the music is calming. If it didn’t cost so much resources with very little return it would be a game that I would consistently play😊

Fun for the busy

This game has been enjoyable for me so far, due to the simple fact that I only have a few minutes to spare here and there, where I get to enjoy interior design. Where real life may not allow us the time or money, this game provides opportunities to use high class materials, furniture and decorations to make a space beautiful.
That being said, one of the reasons this game is more quick is because the options for use are more limited. Which is great on the one hand for people that take longer to make design decisions, but on the other hand, I haven't been able to follow the prompts as closely as I would like. For example, one prompt asked for a farmhouse look in their bathroom and usually I would pick, white painted wood or galvanized steel, but neither of those options were offered.

Fun Game, Slows Down Quickly

I really liked the game at first, but after a few days of playing you can only afford to do one or two rooms a day because of how much they cost in gold to renovate. There only being a set number of options to choose to decorate from was preferable to me compared to other games that give you (in my opinion) entirely too many choices to the point it feels overwhelming. This does means some rooms you vote on do look veryyy similar, but this wasn’t something I was too bothered by. A very fun game, I felt like I could really design a room how I envisioned it… but might uninstall because it’s just not worth it getting on daily to only design one room IF you even have enough gold for that.

Fun, but limited

For context, I have spent four years playing the design game Redecor, but since being purchased by Playtika, the gambling tactics and pop-ups are driving me away. I had just dealt with the last 4th or 5th pop-up in a row too many times! Their tactics are driving me away. so somebody suggested I try this game.

On the plus side: it’s cheaper and easier to play. There’s not nearly as many pop-ups, and the emphasis is on “the game” not so much on the gambling and pushing users towards addictive behavior.

On the negative side: there are FAR too few design options! The templates come with much of the background items and colors pre-installed (you can’t change them) many of the structural/template items cannot be changed. And the inventory that you’re allowed to choose from is extremely limited - not just in structure, but in colors. For example, all of the inventory items for a particular item choice (or even an entire template) will be either pink and yellow and beige… and nothing else. Let’s say I want something to be black or brown or shiny metal… there is no option for that.

In Redecor, the player has hundreds of colors to choose from! So the ability to personalize your design is infinitely larger.

That said, I bought a monthly “season” pass and I’ll play out the month, and I might play out another month or two. But I can see that, unless it’s developed a lot more than it is now, I will tire of it and move on.

So close to perfect

I love this game! I’ve been trying out a few other design games and this is the one I keep coming back to. It’s cute, simple, and the designs are lovely! My one criticism is I really wish there were more ways to earn coins. I watch every ad I can but I can only typically submit 2 designs a day if I’m lucky. The items can be quite expensive and it’s easy to run out quickly. And the real life costs to buy coins are astronomical. ($20 for a package? be so fr rn) Maybe when we vote on designs we could earn coins?

Fun

Fun. Intuitive. Stylish. Maybe they could add some older baroque styles. I think it might add more variety. I was also thinking there could be a section during voting or maybe a public gallery where people could display their work and maybe leave it open for helpful critique. That way people can learn. From each other and get outside their comfort zones and hopefully get better ratings so they don’t keep getting stuck with only getting low ratings. I can see only getting low ratings happening if someone doesn’t really have much experience in design which can lead to a lack of resources needed to play the game. Thus a community of helpful critique might help. Just an idea. You don’t have to do it.

You get stuck at a point

It’s a really fun game and very enjoyable but after playing for a little over a week and doing a few rooms a day, even while picking the cheapest options for almost every room you end up spending literally all your coins, to complete a room you spend about 5,000+ and in return you earn 1,000 with exception of if your piece votes well hours later you *may* get another 750. The point I’m making is you end up spending more coins than you can earn which will eventually limit you from creating more rooms, there is a daily login bonus but what? Do I have to login everyday for a week straight so I can save up enough coins to eventually do 1 room & repeat?

2 Issues

The game is good I just have a few issues. 1 the social aspect of the game is missing. You can't see the what design your design was judged against and there's no guilds or clubs. 2 the judging is frustrating. It appears that the people who play this game must buy all their real life decorations from the dollar store. They wouldn't be hired to decorate a roach motel, yes it's that bad. They can't match, know nothing about texture and adding accents. I genuinely believe they vote on the most tacky, hideous designs on purpose. It feels very intentional. If there were a system that made you follow guidelines for a design and you actually vote for the design that followed instructions, that would be a good start at a more fair score.

Love to play, need more options

I really enjoy playing this game but there needs to be more design options available for each challenge. It’s always the same 9 kinds of baskets, the same 9 pieces of art, the same 9 flower bouquets, the same 9 light fixtures, the same 9 flooring types, the same 9 wall colors, the list could go on and on. It gets pretty old to always have the same options. There is the occasional challenge that will have 9 completely new unique items which is refreshing to see, but then you’ll never see them again….just switch it up some more. Otherwise it’s VERY repetitive.

Loving this game

I’m loving this game so much but it is pretty hard to get coins & using the items in each round costs so many coins. I can’t keep spending $10 a week on more coins, so I wish there were more opportunities to get coins without paying. Even making using the items in the rounds cheaper could be a good idea. I might have to delete the game off my phone to prevent myself from spending so much money on buying coins just because I love the game so much but dang 🥲🤣

Pls Read This!

I’m really obsessed with this game and I understand you need to make money from it. However, I feel like earning coins could be a bit easier, because I can’t afford to spend money on the game every week. It’s truly fantastic, but it feels a bit unfair that there aren’t more affordable ways to keep playing. Even adding some ads to help earn coins would be better than nothing. Please consider making it more accessible for players on a budget!

Cute & Fun

I think it's a very cute and fun game. I appreciate how developers have made it available too play for even those with no money. The artwork and designs are beautifully done. It's stunning ... I do find it hard to stand out from other players. Since the options are so few. I wish the designers would spend more time making different colors to choose from for each item in a room. Instead of making different versions of the items. I still give this game a solid 4. I wish I could give it a 4 and a half. I would.

Great game but…

I really like this game but it’s way too hard to make money or gems. I can only design a few rooms before I’m out of money, and gems spend even quicker. I end up wasting my time on watching ads to get the extra $1000. And that ruins the game for me. And more gems or money or bonuses are way way too expensive. I’m not spending $15 bucks on a bonus for furniture. I’m not made of money and I don’t spend it frivolously. It’s really making the game frustrating. I stop playing because of it but then I come back because the game itself is great.

Just try it

I was kinda not interested the first couple times I saw ads for this game but I said what the heck and download it AND HAVE ZER0 REGRETS!! So calm and chill but very fun and really actually lets you express yourself and explore new concepts. The structure and the whole vibe is just really engaging and relaxing. Have you ever heard of a game that was actually relaxing and you have a lot of fun too? Me neither til now and this is that game

One of the best games!

I don't write reviews but this game really deserves much more acknowledgment. I dont really play games but I decided to try this game out as I saw it in a ad. Honestly one of the best decisions ever. This game is just amazing! First of I love how I haven't got even a single ad while playing this game. Its so peaceful with the calm ambient music in the background. The graphics and everything is just perfect, and the choices and designs this game offers you is just the cherry on the top! I absolutely love this game!!!!❤️

One of the Better Design Games

This is actually a lot more playable than some of the other design games as a f2p player. Of course, you won’t have enough coins and gems to do every challenge, but watching ads help and would be enough for you to do 1-5 rooms per day. I also like how each category limits your options to 9 items—it’s a lot less overwhelming and helps you stay on theme. Overall, I’ll definitely recommend this for both casual or competitive players.

Wonderful Game!

So far, this has been the absolute best home design game that I have found on Venue Store, and let me just say that all my endless searching for the perfect game has been worth it! This game is super fun, relaxing, and inspiring. I love how easy and simple it is to create beautiful designs and be inspired by others designs during voting. There are no ads unless you choose to watch them, which is another awesome addition to this awesome game. If you like home design and relaxing games, then you should totally get this app. I recommend it 5 stars because it is so wonderful!

Best decorating game yet!

This is one of my favorite decorating games I think I’ve have found, firstly is it’s very relaxing with the music and also, there’s no ads Wich makes it 100 times more better, and I also love the freedom of being able to choose what you design and what decorations you choose as a pose to other games where you can only choose between 3 options unlike this game were you can explore a lot of options.
Overall this game is definitely very worth it🙂
