worked decent but not great

worked decent but not correct to lab grade meter , also supposedly free IT IS NOT its only a small free time use.
not selectable for type of light checking, led is a different spread as to what registers then a halogen of hps,
so if need a finer detail dont waste time and it does not filter proper, you phone version snd camera type based on phone will give differed readings

Very well conceived and designed!

I struggled to find an intuitive and well designed White Balance Kevin Meter.

Either they didn’t work, wouldn’t scale properly for my screen size or lacked a camera preview window, to be 100% sure if what readings I was really taking. (What was the camera actually aimed at?).

WhiteBalanceKelvinMeter checks all the boxes of elegant, fast, scalable, accurate and highly intuitive.

The only challenge I had was not fully understanding the need to use a piece of paper to sample the reflected light from - and came to see that using a piece of paper either as a diffuser (hold over lens) or as a reflective surface to be used with one’s light source, balances out the readings very nicely.

I’m not a Photographer, but wanted to measure the Light Temperature of some very obnoxious Street Lights which are well over 5,000 Kelvin - far above the AMA’s guideline of them being under 3,000 Kelvin (even lower is better 2,200 to 2,700 even).

The Developer couldn’t be better. Super kind, responsive and skilled.

Very satisfied and highly recommend this effective and elegant app!

Impressive!

Got the three day trial and after testing I’m paying for the pro version. Way more accurate than I figured it would be. If you have proper light sources you can calibrate WhiteBalanceKelvinMeter to you particular phone for even better results.
It works best in a dark environment so you’re only measuring the light you want. I just used a sheet of white paper and tested different flashlights in a dark room. For household lights, I waited until dark and tested by only turning on the light I wanted to measure. Worth the small fee for a lifetime license.

Very accurate

I’ve found this to be a very accurate meter for color temperature, I tested against various light bulbs where I knew the exact color temp and it was spot on. I also appreciate the measurement of color tint, which was a big part of why I downloaded WhiteBalanceKelvinMeter, I am looking at ways to incorporate that into my photo adjustments. The flash filter recommendations may also come in handy too.

Bravo

Well designed and well executed. Works as well as my Minolta color meter. Purchased the lifetime license. Hope you never have to go to a full subscription license like one of the popular film apps has recently done. Thanks for a well designed product.

Wow!

WhiteBalanceKelvinMeter is unbelievable. I can’t believe that someone was able to concept this for a phone. I shoot events with 3 cameras and white balance them all using WhiteBalanceKelvinMeter. It’s become a EDC for me. Bravo to the designer.

Features

To ensure the best possible accuracy, this app uses a common white paper or a grey card to measure color temperature.

Use this app to measure color temperatures and set your white balance accurately for stunning photos.

Understanding color temperatures is crucial for achieving accurate colors in photography.

While Automatic White Balance (AWB) helps, manual settings often yield better results.

Just make sure the paper is lit by the light source you are measuring and avoid any color casts.
