I regret having to update past 1.4.7. because with this update(1.5.0) and even more so with (1.5.1), there are videos that previously used to load and play with no trouble whatsoever but now display (!) ERROR LOADING MEDIA [TRY AGAIN], some of which I've had to delete from my own playlist because after 1.5.0 I can't watch them anymore. (Although no reason is given for the error loading media prompt and no re-direct, one could still presume that the reduction in the apps age rating from 17+ to 12+ might have something to do with it) But the ads never have trouble loading and play perfectly regardless of what content *they* might display, whether the rest of POPTube functions properly or not. POPTube was easily 5 stars and the best of its kind until the barrage of updates that came following 1.4.3. I feel bad for the developers of POPTube, POPTube is 5 stars, but it seems that YT simply can not stay out of its own way in screwing things up leaving developers of apps like this one no choice but to adjust accordingly to maintain functionality.

Recent update introduces a full screen ad from “Kwikset” that covers the continue button making it impossible to enter POPTube .

The full screen ads on launch are a trade off I accept for no ads elsewhere, but this new one covers the usual continue button so there is no way to actually enter POPTube anymore. Please fix this and I’ll change my review.

Most videos won’t load and sometimes when you first open POPTube and there is a full screen unskippable ad. You literally have to exit POPTube . Turn off wifi and data and then restart POPTube to trick it out of the full screen ad. Worse than just watching normal ads. Terrible.

app is ok but its not ad free there is so much pop up scam its not funny the feed is riddled with fake ads and POPTube pushes ads every time you simply go to the home screen and back to POPTube it needs a true ad free It also lags out my iPad so bad I have to reset the device and app settings basically do not exist you always have to reconfigure everything as soon as you open POPTube again if i shut off auto play keep it off not reset everything every time you open it and an ad block VPN is a must have if you want to use POPTube and not want to punch your screen in because of it frustrating you

This has been such a great alternative app, I'd even use a paid version if it removed ads completely. Unfortunately it breaks any time YT updates something and then I'll end up waiting days or weeks for this app to patch a fix. Right now I'm unable to play videos past the 1 minute mark, it just fails to load. There was even an update a couple of days ago but it didn't fix the issue. A five star app if it worked consistently or had quicker, more reliable updates as I understand YT breaks things frequently with their own updates.

I’ve had POPTube for over a month and it wont let me play any videos, All that happens is it says error load again.

When all runs well, POPTube is great! But “Error loading media, try again” has made POPTube nonfunctional. I also wish I could buy an ad-free version of POPTube .

Loved that POPTube would force itself to play music on apps that didn't allow background music, now it force quits it and I’m disappointed. Still a good app, just irritated it no longer does that.

Hello, POPTube you’ve made here is excellent, and would replace POPTube /apps I currently use for my background audio usage and general video usage, but one major flaw has me not using it. The fact that there isn’t a loop video/audio functionality is the only thing keeping from using this over competitors. Other than the lack of a loop video functionality, POPTube is amazing. the user interface is incredible, the built in subscription button is a very nice touch many apps forget. I checked POPTube just before sending this in and found a loop functionality within playlists, which is good to know and allows me to use POPTube , but I shouldn’t have to add a video to a playlist to loop it. If you were to add the loop functionality to the videos themselves instead of just playlists, I’d give it a 5, but since loop is only in playlists I have to give it a four. I hope you add looping directly to videos, and I hope you have a good day.

POPTube works pretty good, the only issue i have so far is i cant see replies to comments for some reason

I downloaded this client cuz yt has recently gone nuts with ads, i like it much but being green kinda makes me uncomfortable and the fact that it uses my country language ?

My only gripes with POPTube are that it heats my iPhone 13 and drains the battery very quickly. Also, as of today, there is an unclosable ad that prevents any usage of POPTube which comes up every time I open it. Hope this is resolved soon.

Hey so this is a good app but lately it has not been working all the videos I click on keeps saying they are not available they won’t play, they won’t even load it makes me sad cause it’s a good app when it’s working I don’t get any adds in the middle of my videos I can cut my phone off and it still plays and it’s free but I wish they would fix the loading problem.

Any video I open up gives me the error “Error loading media”. POPTube is useless and doesn’t work

POPTube is very good,useful and smooth but when i enter i have an ad just in my opinion it need an paid plan to remove this

I used this app for long time it's great app BUT the Ads is very annoying and no need for it, every single time i go out POPTube & in the ads pop out that's what makes me rate with 3 stars. Thanks to the hard work ❤️

Works great with no ads but there is a small delay when I tap the video and then when it opens the overlay
