as an editor on the platform instagram, there’s sooo many people who post edits. i use Tempo videostar, it’s an app where you can make your own after effects, and transitions, just like funimate, alight motion and more. yet Tempo steals people’s after effects. people work hard on those and Tempo steals them. they take them as if they made this and that it’s their own, when really they stole them from some talented person who actually knows how to use after effects and know how to edit. they steal them without giving credit. at least of you want to use them, give credit to the talented person you stole them from, you try and make it look like you created it, when you really stole it. these people work hard, they do that for it just to be stolen by some app that makes more than the person actually could. Tempo is disgusting. actually, it’s not okay, if your going to have an editing app, make your own after effects, don’t go stealing them.

Hi I am a pro member on Tempo and I really like using Tempo to edit videos. I am having a few problems. As I am editing either my image or video.... Tempo will suddenly crash then loosing my whole edit!. Their needs to be a way for you guys to fix the crashing. you guys also need to add a save button that will save your uncompleted as well as completed work that way I can come back later and continue my edit I didn’t finish. Their should be an auto save like most apps have that way if you don’t finish your edit or Tempo crashes your work is still safe. I paid extra money to receive the pro extras and I’m very upset to find out that Tempo isn’t letting me save my unfinished work and keeps crashing even tho I paid extra. I think you guys need to also add more interesting transitions for us pros to use. Please fix the problem soon or I’ll want my money back! I hope it gets you guys fix it soon because I really like editing on Tempo. Thanks

Tempo was SO much better when you weren't forced to choose a template, it was easy to use and it gave you so much more creative liberties, i used to make good edits on Tempo, and now i cant make anything i genuinely want to because it forces you to use templates. I cant properly splice things anymore or make my own edits and the change hurt my proficiency with Tempo, i dont understand why you took the entire "video editing" part out of a video editing app but please bring it back, Tempo was SO MUCH better when you had the ability to do things yourself, and this was the only app i genuinely could understand and liked to use and now i cant use any editing software because this update removed all of the good things about Tempo. Please bring back the option to make your own edits without mandatory templates, i really dont think ill be coming back to Tempo in the meantime.

I wanted to try this app for one single 30-second project, so I got the free trial. However, I later received an e-mail from Apple reading that I had been charged $65 for a year-long subscription, and my stomach dropped to the floor. I reached out to this app staff through email and through Tempo itself, but they refused to give me a refund, even after explaining my low income and how this involuntary payment would be affecting my indispensable need to pay for my monthly bills and food. I used it for a total of 46 minutes and I didn’t like its features, but now I have a year-long subscription for an app that I don’t like and will not use. $65 for 46 minutes- not even an entire hour- of use. I very rarely leave reviews but I do not want others to suffer financially because of this company. I very strongly recommend staying away from Tempo unless you want to risk your money stolen from you.

It looked really good and had great reviews, so I downloaded it because I love making edits on TikTok! There were many different cool templates to try, but I was disappointed when I saw there was a watermark. Most of the templates weren’t free and you had to get the pro version first, which is a complete rip-off. Plus, you only have a certain amount of photos/videos per template. Sometimes I might want more or less photos/templates, but usually there is a specific amount you have to use. I also wasn’t happy by the ending. Whenever I finished and saved the video to my camera roll, half of it turned out black and it didn’t download correctly. If you want really cheap and crappy edits, this is Tempo for you! But if you actually want people to see them and be impressed, don’t even bother with this app.

It’s a nice app but I just wish that there were more African American models in the edits because so far I haven’t seen any and any time I try to make my own edit the traditions are laggy and trash so for one I can’t see my transitions really until I’m done and it’s so laggy to the point where I eventually don’t even bother and just start using the same transitions left and right.I remember when I first got Tempo and everything was really good the music and the transitions but everything just started becoming pro and I don’t believe in buying stuff in apps and if you don’t I WOULDN'T recommend getting Tempo because all of the free edits in my opinion are trash but at least I can still edit and one time my cousin came over and sometimes she has random sessions whenever she’s sees to much movement and I let her see what was in my phone and she cane across this app and she wanted to see what it was so she opened one of the edits in there and she had an episode so that’s bad and I also would recommend it if you can’t handle flashing lights and j guess it’s kind of my fault for letting her see everything on my phone but you could at least put a Flashing lights warning Overall I don’t even know why I still have Tempo lol but it’s a 2 out of five really sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad

I like Tempo for what it offers, but there’s so many good audios that you need to pay money for and transitions. The transitions are basically the same ones on Funimate. I’m looking for lots of transitions and audios where half are free and half aren’t and make the free ones good transitions and audios at least? I don’t want to use the same transition for my edit. I deleted Tempo after I went into it because at first I liked it because of the audios but when I went into the editing, it looked pricey and there’s only THREE transitions that are free, possibly four but I saw three. The rest costed Pro. It’s kinda frustrating when looking for a new editing app, you are disappointed. The ad I saw for this looked like it had cool effects and transitions as well as audios, and the audio part was true, but the rest wasn’t. Sure you have some effects and transitions but I’m looking for transitions that aren’t the same as everyone else’s. I’m giving it two stars because of the audio and how I liked how it was organized. The rest I’m kind of disappointed.

Tempo is very good, there edits are amazing. But Tempo itself is pretty bad. When I first downloaded it, it was working fine but after a day it was logging me out right away as I was processing the photos for the edit. Once I loaded the photos 10 times!!! And it still did not work. I thought it was just my device but I downloaded it on my other device and it did the same thing. Also my relative also had the same problem. I also delete it and reinstall it to see if that works and it did for a day and the next day it has the same problem. It’s kinda annoying cause all I want to do is make and edit, like for a friends birthday or a relative leaving to college. I’m not sure if I recommend Tempo but if Tempo works for you then it would be amazing but sadly for me it doesn’t.

Ok I would have gave Tempo at least a 4 but I have to say something so today when I opened Tempo it didn’t show me the vids like it usually did if u don’t know what I’m talking about I’m saying the ones where they give free edit videos where u put in the pictures, and mine was blank first I thought it was a bug and restarted Tempo and turned on and off my WiFi. But then again it didn’t change so it would be nice if you guys could look into that. And also the fact that all the popular songs have to be paid to get so maybe add more free songs but other than that Tempo was great and I used to pre made edits and they were super cute! But please fix what happened and I will come back and give it a higher rating!

I LOVE LOVE LOVEE Tempo because you get to make REALY cool videos and songs but I don’t like that the gold or that thing is to much money and most video things are gold and I don’t like that at the very beginning they put the lyrics to the song and I don’t like that so I cut it out and it takes up a lot of time to do that sooo I feel like there should be a option to have the lyrics at the beginning of a video thing but other then that Tempo helped me edit me videos and I loveeee it so much and I recommend it to all my friends and now there using it and they love it to so I rly recommended Tempo to people how want a video editing app but like crazier and that’s better then other editing apps so Yasss

So reasons why I give a four out of 10 is that whenever I see a like a trending video and I go to click on it and I like use my time to wisely to get it for the video you know like usual but and then once I’m done it gives me like this pop-up which I don’t really know if y’all really get it but it shows me “ subscribe for like three days” and ignore this annoys me sorry I’m to lazy to go back
And once I click the X Mark it shows like a pop-up on the top like subscribe or like something and I really annoys me because it’s a really good edit so I would really like you to fix it but I also have a reason but like y’all have like a reason why 100% I get it but it’s just really annoying for me and please say something back I would really enjoy you telling me something yeah that’s it bye!

If you are having a hard time editing on any other editing apps that are too hard to do or learn get Tempo! 😙
It is so easy! All you do is find a song and video you like and then pick a few pictures and there it is! Out comes a edited awesome video! And especially if you are lazy to learn how to edit videos with other apps GET Tempo NOW!!! It edits it for you! All you do is pick the pre made video and pick a few pics and there you go!!! The only bad thing about Tempo is if you want to search a photo on google you have to get out of Tempo to download the picture. But as soon as I go back in Tempo it’s like it closed out and I lost the song 🎵 I found and I have to find it again. Anyway good app and I love it! Creators done an awesome job with Tempo!

Just to let you know I love this app, it’s my life, but I just started noticing something today, so I started to take a break from this app and lost on tic tok but today I decided to check and I saw some new templates like ruin my life, believer, and others, so on the first one ruin my life I put in 5 videos and 2 pictures, but when it was ready for me to look at, it only showed 1 photo out of the 7 I chose for all of the transitions on there, then the same template came on again with the second photo and only that one, it’s only the new ones that are doing this, not the old ones, but it only acts up like that when there are videos I add, so can you pls fix it or see what’s up, cause if this keeps happing with the new templates, then I’m going to leave Tempo and leave a bad review, and I don’t want to do that. 😥

I am very pleased with Tempo! I have made so many amazing edits with this! The templates are phenomenal! I would totally recommend this, and I even convinced my other friend who loves to do this to get Tempo! The only reason I didn’t give it a five star was because there were some great edit templates that I would love to use, but I don’t want to have to pay. This isn’t something that I would like to grow big on, and I have other things that I love to do, and just don’t think it’s worth the money. I am still able to make amazing edits using Tempo, but if they were able to give more templates for free, I would give this a five star! But this is a great app other wise and again, I would totally recommend it! 😊

First of all, this is a great app. It has a great variety of edit templates, audios, and allows you to edit certain aspects of the template freely. Not many similar apps can do this. However, it can get annoying. When I am just looking at edit templates, there’s an ad whenever I exit and enter the template. Sometimes they are up to 30 seconds with no skip button, too. I get that you need to make your money some way, but this many ads is not the way that you should. I would have made so many more edits but I didn’t because of the ads. They literally gave me a headache. I would suggest that that is fixed. Other than that, Tempo is great. I highly recommend it.

First of all, I love Tempo bc it’s kid friendly, there may be some bad words here and there but you just gotta ignore it, I’ve had Tempo over 5 months and it’s been great! Some videos are laggy but that’s only happend to me once 🥺💘 and I love how there new videos everyday! I go on this app and there’s at least 2 or more videos a day the only thing I considered ignoring is the bad words. And one of the good things for people under 10 that it’s private always. 😂✌🏼 anyways, the only thing that been annoying is that some of the videos glitch only thing I consider change 😌 anyways yea I love Tempo so much I consider you get it!

This has to be one of the most easiest editing apps I have ever used! Some of the good qualities about Tempo are if you don’t want to pay for Tempo you can still use it because there are some transitions that are free. The creators also adds new transitions everyday at some time. I have only had Tempo for about a half a month and I’ve made over 30 edits!!! All you do is select pictures from your camera roll in the order you want the pictures to go and Tempo does the rest for you! Tempo also works in the car I don’t know if that’s just for me but it does work in my car. Now every app has at least one thing wrong with it and to be fair this one has about 1 or 2 for me. I have no idea if this is just me but when I finish an edit and I want to see how it looks, if it’s a fast moving transition it will lag even if I have WiFi. Another thing is how somethings I’ll have enough storage and Tempo will just put a big text on my screen implying that I can’t do that edit, even if it’s an transition that’s free. That could also just be me but again I’m not for sure. Over all Tempo is amazing and if your thinking about getting it then get it because it’s the easiest editing app you’ll ever use! Not gonna lie. I hated it at first. It was a totally different app from the one I had become extremely proficient with.
At first I just couldn’t figure it out and was really missing the way I used to be able to tweak each clip down to fractions of a second to sync with music, etc.
However, I decided to bite the bullet and try my best to figure it out before giving it up, as some have done.
Last night I knuckled down was determined to complete my first video.
I’m here to tell you that I now LOVE, this even more than the old version!
I absolutely love being able to edit my clips without switching to an editing page. This is SOOO much easier and faster because I can preview and readjust as needed without going in and out of the viewing screen.
I love this! Thank you for the improvements!
Only negative thing I need to mention is this portrait mode problem. I thought I had changed my view settings in my iPad, but when I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t able to edit in landscape mode, I searched the reviews to see if others had this issue.
I read you are working on this, so thank you for that. I hope the fix isn’t too far away because this really is a nuisance having to hold the iPad in portrait mode.
Lastly, I want to thank you for this fantastic app and for making it free of charge. You are the best!

this app is great! What’s the one little problem with it is sometimes it says “ Restore your video” or something like that and then you can get your video but that’s really the only problem with it. It’s a great app I’ve only had it for about a day and I love it but at first I was really confused on how to actually make videos. If you see one that you like you click and then it helps you make the video you just need to choose pictures and then Tempo really does the rest for you. Tempo is so helpful and it makes editing so fast and easy. Well thank you for reading my review!!

I hate writing reviews but I am taking time to do so because Tempo has been truly wonderful to me for the past two years. Unlike iMovie or other video apps, on this app I am able to easily format a video collage of pictures containing landscape and portrait photos. Tempo allows me to view the whole photos and turn off Ken Burns. Tempo is easy to navigate and while I’ve never had problems, the help screen clearly explains how to manipulate Tempo if needed. Tempo also keeps my photos and videos in its top quality which I am very grateful for. You also can turn off the watermark which is very nice and no bombardment of ads while working on projects. I recommend Tempo to all my friends.

This is an excellent video editing program. Perfect for merging numerous videos together and applying music and slow motion or speeding up the video. You can also add pictures to your creation as part of what you are creating. One draw back is that if you only want to alter a segment within a video but keep the from and back, you have to trim the original video down to what you want to edit and add the video again to the from and back while cutting out the relative parts to make a single video. I wish you could just break a single video up into segments and edit each segment instead of loading multiple copies of the original. Only a mild limitation. This is an extremely simple and intuitive app for editing video. Absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for a simple and quick way to edit video on your iOS device.

I love making stop motion videos and sharing them with my friends as an everyday hobby. I had to search far and wide before I found the perfect stop motion making app; this app! this app is fast, fun, and easy to learn to use. I recommend it for all who want to start making their own stop motion videos.

Edit- Okay. I deleted Tempo for a bit, uninterested in making stop motion videos. I decided to give it another try, after a bit. I go into Tempo and notice it has been updated. No biggie. I select all the photos I want to put in my stop motion, having spent an hour making those photos. I try to create my video. It says "Something went wrong." I try over and over again, deleting Tempo , reinstalling it, trying again and again. It says the same thing. I am very disappointed, for this was my favorite app to use. Please fix this bug, if you are able.

THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO EDITING APP EVER!!! Most video editing apps won’t let you save your whole video use all of the features or use music on less you pay and they are hard to use but Tempo is super easy to use and it lets you do everything for free. I have used a lot of video editing apps on my phone but this is the only one I found that lets you do everything for free! I had like 10 video editing apps on my phone until I found this app because I needed every app for a different thing and once I found this app I deleted everything else because now I can do everything on one app and my videos are better than they used to be even though I’m only using one app because this app can do everything the other apps can do in one app and stuff the other apps make you pay for but on this app it is free!!! If I could I would give Tempo more than 5 stars!!!

I was trying too find a app for my YT channel too Update my video’s too be better quality, than I found Tempo and it changed everything. It’s pretty annoying about the storage but I don’t care. 😜 btw I think this is very useful and everyone should use it. It’s the best app ever and everyone should buy it and edit vids for it. Also whenever I use this app I learn something new. I wanna write more reviews and it is better than any other app cause it is amazing and should be the new Taylor Swift. It always sings booitful songs and Everyone will die if they don’t use it. It’ll cure they’re depression and make them happy forever. Or else sTiNgY will take over the world and squidward will marry his son and cheat on Tempo. Than break failboots tv and Satan becomes stingy and assumes everyone’s gender. The time it took me to create a video is now cut in half. I made a 3 minute video a few days ago using the older version and it took me 8 hours. Tonight I made another 3 minute video and it took me about 4 hours. I use a combination of videos and images. The efficiency of an app is always half my battle. The only issue I had using the new version, which was also an issue with the old version is freezing. In the 4 hours that I was on Tempo , it froze 3 times. Just a minor annoyance. I usually just close Tempo and reopen it. It’s pretty good at preserving my work. I’ve never lost edits or a project even when it freezes and I have to close out Tempo .

I also like that I can do a lot of my editing and preview edits in the same window. Adding music and SPX and editing these layers is so much easier now with the slide bar feature.

I will update this review later after I’ve used the new version a few more times. For now, this is my primary app because It preserves the full size of my images. Other apps I use are to restrictive with image sizes.

God, where to start! I’ve had Tempo for about a year now and it works amazingly well for being free. I used to use IMovie, but this one had the option to A) mass disable ken burns, and B) set a standardized time for the photos. In the more recent update, that went away, though and now I have to go through and set the times for all my photos by hand. I still love Tempo though. I like that you can disable the this app logo at the end, most companies would have made you pay to be able to do that. The creators are always happy to help and the help feature does an amazing job of showing how things work.
Summary: amazing app, great creators, only complaint is you can’t set a standard time.

Edit: recent update really messed everything up. I understand that you need to make a product by making Tempo, but a lot of the features that I liked were taken out... it's a lot harder to set up photo compilations, and at this point, IMovie is less buggy...

If you want me to write a suggestion or point out some flaws, your out of luck! Tempo is absolutely perfect! It has tons of different effects to use, slow motion, intense editing of both video and audio, merging photos and different transitions and, well, you name it, it has it! It's also very easy to use, at most it would take a good 4 minutes to get the hang of, I don't write reviews often but this is worth sharing! And best of all, it makes uploading photos and videos as easy as a click of a single button! Thank you for making a great and well laid app such as this! Most of them are complicated, even if they do have a lot of features, but this one is so easy that you don't even need a tutorial for it, but it still gives you a quick, yet direct and easy to comprehend one! Please get Tempo! It has no ads! Works perfectly! And is the best video editor on Tempo Store! 4.92/5 stars!! Bravo!!

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand this app. The interface is extremely complex, and without a solid grasp of editing skills, most of the features will go over a typical users head. There's also the shortcuts you have to take to achieve certain effects while editing. The long time users understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this software, to realize that Tempo isn’t just for fun, it’s about creating content that gives a deeper understanding about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike this app truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the amazing way Tempo is coded. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as they try to work out how to trim
and edit videos. What fools.. how I pity them. And yes, by the way, i DO have a GoPro logo tattoo And no, you cannot see it. It's for highly educated people only. and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own. Nothing personal kid.

I’ve had this app for three years, and I can say with certainty that this is an amazing movie/video making app. It is so easy to choose the pictures and videos you want and arrange them. There are a good number of transitions as well, and if you choose to use Ken Burns on your pictures, you can select the start and finish positions. I also enjoy the ability to trim videos in Tempo instead of having to trim them in Photos. You can also apply filters to videos and pictures in Tempo , as well as add text. The sleek design and user-friendliness only add to the appeal.
But of course, easily one of the best things about this app is the audio options. To start, there is a HUGE selection of music and the option to fade in and out. You can play as many tracks at a time as you want and precisely edit how long you want the music to play. On top of this, you can also record audio for voiceovers and narration, which is great for making stop-motion movies.
I have used this app on multiple projects and it has yet to disappoint me. The best part is that it is FREE! I know that there is an extension, but even without it, Tempo is truly amazing. Thank you, this app!

I just got Tempo a couple of hours ago and I rlly want to become a YouTuber and I was looking for apps to edit my videos but iMovie I need to pay for a lot of things and it was just too much. So I was looking for apps and found this......OMG it is the best and I just tried it right now, the music choice is great the transitions are great and the way u can put a filter on ur pictures and right whatever u wanna right and u have a choice of what font u want. I personally might use this a lot it’s a really easy quick way to edit a couple of pictures and turn it into a nice video and I made my first video like 6 min ago and it turned out so good. Everything is so easy to understand and use and that makes Tempo AMAZING. Anyone who likes to edit!!!, I suggest u get Tempo it is also free so u don’t have to pay to get Tempo and I love it already❤️keep it up guys! The only thing I would suggest is if u could put in music with the actually people singing and music that is in trend! But other than that this is a great app and I’m loving it a lot!!! Thank you guys for making Tempo simple, fun, cool, and quick, with many options (for free) and easy to make a really good video!!

I was expecting a LOT less from a free app, even with the fantastic ratings it had. However, Tempo really came through. It's pretty simple to stick a bunch of shots together into a mini movie with this (that's what I used it for) and you can even put subtitles. There are, of course a few flaws. I would really like to have been able to put more than one text box on at a time, and despite looking through all the FAQs, exploring the Help section, and just trying things out, I couldn't figure it out. Also, like I've seen in some of the review around here, it does crash a lot. One more thing: they have a bunch of steps in the Help section to do specific things that they should already have as features like I've seen with apps like this before; it would just make everything a lot less frustrating. Anyway, I'm still giving 5 stars because this is a fantastic app, especially at the low, low price of absolutely free.

Have you guys ever watched Silicon Valley you know that company who-lee reminds me of Apple. How they pay apple developers working at apple to copy really good apps in Tempo Store and just rebranded it as an apple app because they don’t have vision as a company. The real devs who have been working really hard on their apps they end up getting screwed through policy changes and things like that so you better download Tempo and use it while you can before Apple makes a clone out of it and forces us all to use it. Tempo is definitely worth five stars. At first I thought the reviews were fake because there are so many positive reviews but after trying to make a video about how Tempo doesn’t work I realized I just didn’t know what the hell I was doing and Tempo is actually really really good. I hope the devs don’t get feature creep and end up screwing it up. BTW tap once to see the timeline highlighted blue then drag to trim.

These are the kind of apps that trump whatever generic app apple makes you have from the start. imovie is fine and all, but personally, my go to is always this app. I can edit videos super quick, and I love the fact that it comes with free music and sound effects. I've had Tempo for years and never run into a problem with it. I decided to write a review now because more people should know about it. It has everything imovie offers AND more. I don't think you can detach the audio though, but personally, detaching the audio in imovie always ends up as a disaster. The "and more" and best thing in my opinion is that you can add text, make it any size, choose from fun fonts, choose from a variety of colors, and pinch and place it however you want on the screen. I think this app has more transition options as well. Absolutely hands down one of the most rewarding features is that it lets you save 1080p videos without any annoying watermarks or self promotion (you can turn off their logo at the end of the video or keep it). The only thing I would say is MORE MORE MORE. More transitions, more music, more sound effects would be nice, but I haven't run into a situation where I was absolutely in need of something else. Everything they have suffices just as well, but that is the only thing I would suggest 😃 Happy splicing!

As a long time TV news professional, working with top editors at network level, and in stations in major markets, I have an immense appreciation for editing, which makes the magic of video. I have and do use Final Cut Pro X, v.2. But when shooting video on my iPhone I prefer the simplicity and speed with which I can get video edited and online. Clean, quick, solid stuff. It is limited - I can’t separate video and sound (or can I)? And I’m unable to lay video over video while continuing the same track. Controlling audio still remains an issue, for me. But I don’t expect this app to do what a skilled pro can do on major editing systems. this app, for me, is simply brilliant.
Update. Suddenly the Ken Burns effect is at work. What’s up with that. Did not select it anywhere, can’t turn it off.
For all it’s genius, this app could provide us with some guidance. Say, a cheat sheet?
