Playdoku: Block Puzzle Game Reviews

Finally after downloading so many games, I found the one that actually challenges you. It’s great and fun game. I’m at level 100 right now and I can’t put it down. I know after every level you have to watch annoying apps but I would swipe up the page and I open the game again so I skip the add. The only downside is you cannot play this game without internet so I have to use my cellular data to play when I’m not home.

Finally a game that doesn't put you through 30 levels of baby challenges before a real challenge. I enjoy the game a lot. Also realize that ads help pay for it, but.....that stupid batch of Royal match ads are painful to sit through. They make me want to delete the game

Once again the game is great but after every level the screen goes blank and have to reset iPad. One pain in the *ss after another!

It is nice to have a great time playing a game on my computer. I am a type 1 diabetic and this helps to put my mind at ease. Thank you for for all that your game gives to me and help me get through so many trying days. God Bless all of you.

I’ve been playing for a couple months now. Really like the game. I reached level 2209 and the game has completely froze on me. Kinda disappointed. I deleted it and will find another game to play.

I would like to see some easy puzzles.

Ads after every level. And they are long ads. Wish I could buy the game but there’s no way to do that. Bummer

I like the game, but every time the banner ad changes at the top of the screen, you get a pop-up that covers the game—sometimes in the middle of a move, or while you might be studying the game board. Very annoying

The ad shows the game in different shapes, like a duck, that you have to put the pieces/tiles in an exact location! That looked cool, but the actual game is just another sudoku board where you fill in a square or row. I’m really tired of game ads showing a completely different game than what they actually made!

I just love this game I really don’t have many problems with this game. I love playing it.

This is a fun game but it’s like a ride at Disney. Ride 30 seconds, line 2 hours = not with it.
This game - level 1 minute, ads 2 minutes= not worth it.
Let’s face it, ads are there so we can play free but they should not be after every other move and so darn long. Uninstalling…

So far fun, not too frustrating

This game is fun and relaxing to play. I can get lost in it for like a couple hours at a time.

I love this little game , but is there no way to play without ads? I can’t even find an option to buy no ads…

The game itself doesn't seem too exciting, kinda what you can play while getting your oil changed, but the ADS are almost equal to game time! It's obvious you don't care cause plenty other reviews say the same thing, yet here we are.

I really liked this game but there were so many ads I stopped playing. It would’ve been nice to play a couple of times before an ad popped up. But there’s a loooong ad after every play.

I am playing this app. It challenges my mind to keep learning.

This is a great, fun game. However, not only do the ads come up between levels, which makes sense, they now come up during moves and while contemplating the next move. The last level I played was interrupted by ads 5 to 10 times DURING play. And it takes so much time to get back to the game I was in the middle of. For this reason, I’m going down to one star.

Wish there was an add free version! Please! Pretty please with sugar on top!

This puzzle could be very addicting but there are too many ads. I’d be okay with ad every 5-10 puzzles. But after every game is just too much and takes away the fun.

I’d be willing to pay for Playdoku if it removed so many ads. As it is I don’t play as often because of ads.

This is a great game, but the time it takes to play a round or two is not worth it. After one win you have to watch several ads before you go to the next level. I’m basically wasting a lot of time to get nowhere. Shame on Apple to allow so many Ada!

Each puzzle takes less then a minute to complete. Seeing an ad after EVERY puzzle gets very annoying especially when the time to skip it takes soooo long. It’s easier if I close out and restart Playdoku after every game. Not with my time.

I love this game. It’s a real work out for your memory, your alertness, etc.. I was pretty far into playing it and joined my first well. Now my mind fails me but I got a new phone and I guess there’s no way for me to get my place back so I have to start at the beginning again but it first I thought I’d never see the game again and I was so depressed so I’m happy to be back playing once again I love it

Great game that’s super fun to play but between the ads that play between levels and the ad bar at the top it makes the game skip and glitch too bad to actually play it. The blocks keep going to the wrong spot because of the ads glitching. I literally have to interrupt the ad and force close the game and reopen it between each level to continue. Not worth it. I’d gladly pay to remove ads. But no option.

I must delete a star from my review for the second one. I downloaded 2 games through Playdoku , completed one entire game, and figured out it wasn’t tracking my progress. I emailed them and they said I didn’t download the games properly through Playdoku , so I didn’t get paid. And I know I did.

I enjoyed playing, but having to sit through an ad after every single level is too much. The ads last longer than the gameplay. I realize developers have to make money, but how about an ad after every other level for example. Deleting.

I would absolutely love the game except for the ads. It would be great to have the option to pay for no ads. I would definitely get it. I am way to inpatient to wait for ads to finish. I just go play something else. Sorry.

Wish the pics would be easier to no

The ad for this shows a board of putting pieces together to form pictures. Like putting tiles in an out line to make it look like a strawberry. But I can’t find it. I’ve been playing this game for a couple weeks. I really like this game alot. But, I would like to see the puzzles you advertise. I still give you 5 stars.

Please consider an option to remove ads, $5 bucks or so? I would happily pay as it seems many others would as well. You can continue with ads for those who wish not to pay. But not worth watching ad after ad to keep Playdoku on my device.

Really fun game, but the ads ruin it. I understand there needs to be ads, but showing one after every single level is just overkill. You have to let people play for a bit. I’d rather watch a longer ad after getting to play a few rounds in a row.

Game play is a 5star. Loved the concept. It’s great. But SO MANY ADs. I would have gladly paid a flat fee to own the game with no ads, but there is not option to do so. I understand that ads support the game, but allow people to support the game by buying the game ad-free! Deleted the game.

Can you make it available to pay to remove ads? Also the game freezes hoping that will stop if ads are gone.

The game is fun but they try to trick you into downloading apps that you dont need like saying you need extra storage, etc..

There are other games line this that don’t do the fake ads
Play those and not this one

I love this game it’s fun and challenging. But with having ads almost between every game it’s quite upsetting. Also there is NO option to get rid of the ads like most apps have. The ads are the only problem I have with this game. So I would have given it five stars if I could buy away the ads.

I just read another review and she said the same thing about the ads. I also read the response to her review. I understand you need the ads. But after every single level you run an ad. I spend more time not watching the ads than I do playing the game. I say “you still have way to many ads” fir me to bother with.

Just started and like it well enough to keep playing. It does have a lot of ads though just like most of the games I play for free.

I like the puzzles. However, the amount of forced video ads is extreme and makes the game basically unplayable. The makers post the identical message to everyone who mentions ads in their reviews (“Ads can be annoying…”). This is way beyond annoying! I play a puzzle and it takes me 15-30 seconds. Then I’m forced to wait through an ad that plays for 30-60 seconds. When actual game play is less than half the time you spend with the game, you’re doing it wrong. Within 24 hours I deleted Playdoku . The puzzles aren’t so compelling that I’m willing to spend the majority of my time with the game watching ads.

Much fewer levels of actually piecing together different shapes than I wanted. There are a lot of ads, also. As well as the movement of the pieces, almost feels delayed compared to when I touch my screen. And I had to completely close out my device after the ads because my screen froze

Really enjoyed the puzzles and no issues with glitches at all. Deleted game due to the ads, one after every level and they’re forced and repetitive. If you’re going to force me to watch an ad that I can’t close out of, at least give me some variation. Or better yet, only do forced ads when you fail the level or every three levels.

This game is amazing and fun, would be my favorite except for greed! ADVERTISEMENTS not only between each game,but, multiple ads during games! Plus they try to trick you into clicking on the ad!!

This would be such a fun addicting game if there wasn’t an ad every time you win a level or lose a level. That’s enough to make me want to delete any game no matter how fun it is. If you can put up with all the ads, you’ll probably really like this game.

I get it. Ads help the developer pay the bills. But good grief. They should figure out some way to balance the gameplay with the ads. I completed the tutorial and had to watch an ad. Played the next level (maybe 5 seconds total?) and had to watch two 25 second ads. Finished the next level, another advertisement. If I spend more time watching ads than I do playing your game, I delete it. Which is what I did to this game.

You clearly didn’t read my review. I’m not asking to remove all ads, I simply want a better balance of gameplay and advertising. Dropping to one-star since the devs don’t read.

The puzzle part of Playdoku is actually really relaxing and enjoyable. Most are easy and are super quick to complete. The part I did not like was the ads every 15 seconds. I understand that for the game to be free to us the ads will play, normally it’s after a few levels or a specific amount of play time. Most of the time I find amazing games through ads so I don’t mind them, that’s how I found this game! Sadly this was one of the most excessive apps with ads I’ve downloaded in a while and deleted it pretty quickly. Welp, on to the next spin off Tetris puzzle game :)

I downloaded the game and enjoyed it right from the start. However, almost every online game out there is ruined because of the wait between each and every level due to ads. LONG ads. Truth is, you lose players because of this. We cannot pay to remove ads all the time and I could put up with a smattering here and there but when it’s after each game play level…..it’s a huge and frustrating disappointment. While I loved this game right away, it quickly was deleted because game play was a significantly less amount of time than watching the ads.

You have a GREAT game! It’s fun and just challenging enough where I don’t think the levels are impossible, but you’re ruining the experience by ad’ing us to death!! As if an ad after every level (whether you complete it or not) isn’t enough, you interrupt play to… show another ad. I get it, ads make you money, but I feel like I’m fighting through ads more than I’m actually playing the game. For the love of all things holy, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE force through an update to put in an option so I can throw you a few bucks for your hard work so I can STOP THE EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF ADS!!! 😩😩😩

I’m an avid fan of this game. I think it’s taken over the other games, and I don’t play hardly anything else. But now that I’ve played for a while, the game, after winning will switch to an ad for Candy Crush Saga and freeze there. I have to reboot my phone to play again. That’s my only issue.

A simple and challenging puzzle with no frills. Unlimited lives, no pre/in-game boosts, no competition, daily challenges . I love it. The catch is, there is a short ad between levels where you win or lose. Id like to pay to eliminate the adds, but the game would need a different way to earn money for the great developers.

It is a good game but you need to make a 2 one but like with jenga blocks and like yea and make less or more levels I think you should do more levels bc it would make it more fun and the ad would be like it’s free make it free and make sure you make it fun so you will have more ppl to play it so. When I first started playing this game it was awesome but recently it started crashing a lot. I updated when the crashing started as there was an update available and now the crashing has gotten worse and has caused me to lose game progress. Real shame, that and the ads have gotten longer and more annoying. Too bad there isn’t an ad free upgrade.

This is a really fun game BUT is not what you sign up for. You think you’re getting one where you fill in tiles to create a given shape (a rabbit, say). What you get it a fill in shapes to remove a line of tiles & ‘win’ when you acquire enough of a given color. That said, it’s really fun & MUCH harder than you think. Ads only come between game sets.

Like achieving levels. I understand ads are needed to play free games but after every level you have to sit through a different ad so then my mind wanders again, but then I play a game again and my mind is entertained once more. I have not had any issues with Playdoku itself.

An ad after every level. Even if you don’t complete and need to replay it. You’ll spend more time watching ads than playing the game. Just avoid it. There’s better games out there with no ads. I mean seriously… it’s more of an ad channel than a game.

I get it. It’s a free game so they need ads to support it. But it’s absolutely ludicrous. It would be cool if you could pay 99¢ or something to get rid of the ads. The game itself is solid and I’d love to continue to play it but I’d rather spend my time doing literally anything else

Listen I get you want a free game but give us the option to pay for no ads because every game I down first thing I do is purchase no ads. Listen people will play it free with ads and people will pay to remove the ads you’ll still make money. But if you aren’t willing to rid of the ads then do making it a cash grab because having to watch an ad every time I beat a level I’m just going to delete Playdoku and then that’s one less person putting money in your pockets.

Edit: Yes, there is a penalty for not finishing a level. You’re shown an ad. Hence my assertions the levels are manipulated. Original: This could & should be a great game. Unique concept, good balance of ads, nice music (although I think they stole it from another game, it sounds familiar). All in all, it should be great. But it becomes obvious after 100 levels or so they’re actively manipulating what pieces you get to counter-act your increased skill at the game. After all, every time you fail a level, you get an ad. Can’t reach a point you don’t fail a lot, right? But instead of making the levels harder, they just ensure if you leave all your gaps horizontal you get vertical pieces & if you leave your gaps vertical you get horizontal pieces. A shape which was once frequent won’t show up for ten rounds. That kind of thing. Shame.

Initially I loved this game but as I played it because apparent that the commercial would end it for me. There is no option to buy out and they are the same daily Jerry Springer Trailer Park commercials over and over and over again.

The second reason for the lower score is the game does not seem to get more difficult or change over time. I’ve played through the 1000 level and yes it’s slightly gets harder but not by much. It be nice to see levels and evolution over time.

The third is daily ranking is universal so a player that has been playing for years is in the same pool as the player that just started and can wip through the levels quicker.

So key points the game needs to evolve such as a bigger playing board. Special blocks with special functions. Like maybe an all colored block.

Give players the option to opt out of the stupidity commercials that basically want me to gamble or get rich or some other trashy scheme

Echoing what everyone else has said- these ads are ridiculous. I’ve never played a game with so many ads. After LITERALLY every level, an ad. I spent more time watching ads than playing the game. Don’t bother downloading this.

Developers don’t bother responding because I’m not interested in hearing the same response that you give everyone else. I get it, ads make money, but you aren’t going to make money when no one is playing your game because there are too many ads.

If you are a parent, you should read my review. This game does not provide any manner in which you can give feedback regarding ads so one individualize the ad experience for a more enjoyable game. I am offended by the vulgar and disgusting ads by Blushed, and anybody with children would be or should be offended as well. Why don’t they just show people screwing that’s the innuendo given in the ads. These ads are fairly new as I have been playing the game for a bit and no matter how much I enjoy it - I’m going to delete it.
