I am not comfortable with the fact that Hover requires access to all of my photos. Please explain why it is not possible to allow only limited access. Even if it comes at the expense of some functionality, I just want to download my videos from the drone.

Hover works generally fine. However, the privacy policy link on Hover Store goes to a nonexistent website and there are concerns about the company having access to all of the photos on your phone.

Features completely disappear. Options open to a blank page. Hover is terrible. I can no longer even set distances or other features within Hover . Which makes the this app mostly useless to me.

The disclaimer to Hover clearly violates the users rights those recording videos with this drone through Hover which is needed for this $400 drone the following is listed as disclaimer…

.. you represent that you have the right and agree to ((grant us)) the following rights worldwide, permanently, irrevocably, and free of charge:

The right to store, use, publish, copy, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works based on, distribute, perform, and display the content.

The right to incorporate all or part of the content into any other form of work, media, or technology.
The right to commercially utilize the content you have published.

The right to sublicense the aforementioned rights to third parties for their use in the ways described above.

This clearly violates the rights of a purchaser to have their rights to their recorded content be subjected to this when Hover is needed to use the drone.

Why does Hover require full access to my phones photo library? When I set the option for limited access (allow the device to save to library and manually select content to share with Hover ), it doesn’t save video content and keeps prompting for access to photo library. There is no reason for Hover to have full access to every item in the photo library. It should save to its own folder.

I was contemplating purchasing this drone but saw reports of the user agreement. I couldn’t believe it actually was this crazy so I downloaded Hover and read it for myself. I am not buying a drone to allow them to sell my personal photos to third parties without compensation. This honestly shouldn’t be legal.

This application necessitates comprehensive editing tool features comparable to industry standards, such as Insta360 or GoPro. Ideally, the cost of this camera should encompass robust features within Hover .

This section of Hover Store says the developer does not collect information. That is a lie. Read the current “privacy policy” and Terms of Use (required to even use Hover ). It is EXTREMELY invasive, including giving the developer the right to collect, archive and share data with third parties.

Even worse, just to use Hover , you are required to give the this app app FULL access to your ENTIRE PHOTO LIBRARY. You cannot select “None” or “Limited Access” but only “Full Access.” (Zero-Zero, please stop this!)

There is NO need to access my personal photo library…NONE! This just seems like an invasion of privacy and allows China to get all your photos.

The this app app can “download” the video/photos you take with this app to your iOS Photos library, but there is zero reason Hover needs “Full Access” to do that.

Great innovative and unique product! Great app, but zero-zero needs to change the privacy policy.

Exciting tech, but what's the use of it if Hover itself is marginally accessible? I could not even initiate connection / pairing with VoiceOver screen reader. It is likely the unit is flying back to where it came from! :)

Overall good and easy to use but I returned mine and the reason is simple. This drone/app needs settings for camera quality adjustments. Image of this drone is consistently overexposed and no way to control EV or dial down the exposure. Same for the contrast that is way too high. And let's not even mention abhorrent oversharpening. Why manufacturers.do this? They insist on images looking like a plastic cheap mobile phone.. why? With a basic user controlled Exposure/EV, Saturation, Contrast and Sharpening settings, the image quality of this drone would be infinitely better. If they add this to the drone, I'll conside buying it again. As it is, is really limited and unfortunately not as good as it could be.

Great (almost magical) automated technology, but I don’t trust a company based out of China with all of my photos. Please update and allow me to add photos to my library without giving access to it.

its frustrating to want to do other modest that arent the preset, for example: dolly or side track, but cant be the screen wont load and i have to wait in a blank screen making which that option unusable.. if theres a way to fox that so we dont have to hit “take a look” and we can just USE the option that would be nice. also, access the album even when the drone is off would be convenient. hate that i have to have it on to see the footage after the fact. also having to earn the next sets of video features is a little much. id the interface can be more sleek and user friendly please

It would be nice if Hover has the option or any update to mute or lower the robotic sound of the this app, that’s the only thing i don’t like about it, it’s annoying for people around you when you’re gonna do a flight. Other than that. I like it a lot.

I’m trying to download my videos but it says “network unavailable” please help!

I wish they had more operational manuals included in Hover as well as some better UI. But it does work and doesn’t crash so that’s a plus!

Many here concerned about privacy and photo sharing access by this app. I use an older second iPhone when using my this app. Only photos on it are ones taken with the this app.

this app only controls what you upload to THEIR platform.

If you’re not choosing to upload footage to the social media feed in Hover then there are no privacy concerns. They have no access / control to the footage you record with the drone… only the stuff you decide to upload.

I must honestly say I’m very new to using the this app air. Hover makes it so easy and with the most recent updates this is one of the most user-friendly apps to work with a flying camera I have ever seen as a tech reviewer. It is very hard for me to find TECH that I am openly willing to refer to users, this is an exception this is an outstanding app

So far so good!! Just bought it, it’s amazing can’t wait to try it out more!

I bought the this app Air X1 after seeing a few videos of it on social media and decided to jump on the bandwagon and I’m glad I did because it’s soo much fun and so easy to use! Hover is great and I love that it has a manual mode too. The only downside I have is not being able to unlock the flight modes right away and also if you offload Hover temporarily and reinstall it, all of your flight modes that you’ve previously unlocked start all over again from scratch, which is very disappointing for me. Another complaint I have is the log in process, if one logs in and decides to log out, when you try to log back into your account it doesn’t allow you to, instead, it wants you to create a new account which is just so weird. Other than these minor setbacks in Hover , I still like it and hope that they can fix these issues and add more fun flight modes and features like voice control! That would be amazing!
