Marginally helpful

I’d like to be more positive but giving NFAAS 2 stars is being pretty generous. NFAAS itself contains only very basic information and does nothing notification wise we already would be getting from AtHoc. As far as the real function of this app, NFAAS provides you a URL link so that you can log into this app through your web browser. Which you could have done without NFAAS. There’s no real integration between NFAAS and this app.

As useful as anything else the Navy offers

The feature in NFAAS are pretty useless. Can’t update info. Alerts aren’t special and would be sent out elsewhere so NFAAS isn’t needed. It’s basically an app with a link that takes you to this app.

What’s the point of an app? You’d think the Navy would figure something out by now considering most phone and tablets can outperform and are more often and readily used than computers.

Pointless

To echo others, this doesn’t save any time or make anything easier.

Imagine having an app on your phone called “search”, and when you click search it just opens Google in Safari. That’s what this this app app does.

Opened NFAAS yesterday (Feb 7), showed “update in progress”, screen turned white, nothing displayed. I scrolled down and there are images about 3 shades darker than white, they link to the website which could not be accessed. And still can’t be accessed from NFAAS , my phone OR A GOVERNMENT COMPUTER.

The Navy survived for over 200 years without NFAAS, or that website. We can survive without it again until something is made that actually works.

Deleting it now, recommend everyone does as well.

Not a real app just a fancy boommark

Why even create an app? I can create a mobile application on SharePoint(PowerApps) that would work better than this and for free since im a government employee. This is a large glorified bookmark. Instead of downloading NFAAS bookmark this app. I don’t blame the developers they probably got terrible requirements from non IT people.

dOwNloAd tHe apP anD uPdATe NFaAS

NFAAS, for my uses, was supposed to update my this app like they tell you to do 10 times a year. All it does it link you to a web page on your browser where you have to log in. If I am just stupid and am unaware of how to use NFAAS please educate me but I see zero point in this.

By

“Just download the app,” they said...

So, after four years of every Chief and LPO telling me to “just get NFAAS and you can update this app right from your phone,” I caved. I was told “update today or you can’t leave” out of nowhere, so I downloaded it.

What does NFAAS do? Well, there’s an this app login button... that opens Safari browser to the this app login site. WOW, NFAAS SAVES FIVE WHOLE SECONDS FROM THE PROCESS OF GETTING TO THE SITE YOURSELF!

NFAAS is useless, and now that I’ve finally used it, I can’t wait for the next chief to tell me to just get NFAAS . “Have YOU used NFAAS ?”

0/5, sad I even have it on my download history.

Meh

Better than just a bookmark as it immediately checks on emergency situations. Can also update/confirm contact info quickly.

On the other hand it is a typical navy product. Looks like it was made in the early 2000s with little to no update aesthetically or functionally.

Not functional

I need to reset my log in info to complete muster, but no one answers the help line and the voicemail box is full. There should be a way to reset your password automatically through NFAAS . Also, NFAAS just displays a blank white screen, which is not helpful.

By

Doesn’t work anymore

Tried to log in to update my info and it doesn’t work. Nothing happens. Don’t waste your time with NFAAS, just log in the regular way on the computer. You’ll save time and frustration.

This App is not an App that works

There’s no point to have NFAAS since it just directs you to the website on the web browser. There’s no functionality inside NFAAS . What’s the point of creating NFAAS if it’s not functioning as an App?

By

Another glaring example of pointless waste

Absolutely useless app obviously developed by a third or fourth rate developer

Provides limited information more easily
Obtained in other platforms

Another mandatory tasker forced on us by
Management without ever taking the trouble to check if it works

this app is on the table simply to gen up a value stream for some collection of pay recipients

NOT USEABLE from home even with a CAC reader and a full set of updates

I wouldn’t complain if you simply slept at your desks and left us alone

By

Not really useful

NFAAS is nothing more than a front page which directs you to a the this app website for login to the system. It would be simpler to just bookmark or favorite the this app site and not have NFAAS.

By

Worst App Ever

First it gives you a warning that the site is not secure and your info can be stolen. Then I couldn’t log in when there was a mandatory muster due to a hurricane. Then it gives you another warning that the hyperlinks are not sponsored by the US Navy. ?!?! Two thumbs down!

By

Zero reliability

Zero stars for zero reliability. Update 2x per year and this stupid app AND website wont function beyond the login screen. Stop sending order to account notifications if your servers can’t handle. Hurry up and wait for dummies

By

No point

You can’t even muster through NFAAS. Not sure what it is for, or maybe it’s not working like intended because I am not seeing the key pad/push button type page that is shown in NFAAS Store.

By

Sure. It works...

However, it doesn’t work during time of emergencies or mandatory mustering whether you have internet or cellular service. Nor does the website. Bravo Zulu👏🏽

By

Useless

Not only is it buggy, it’s also completely useless. Does not save anytime, and is a waste of bandwidth. Another half-baked attempt at connecting with NFAAS driven generation.

By

Does this app even work ?

Just downloaded it and all that shows is a blank screen. No means of creating an account or anything.

By

This app is awful

My chain of command made me download this against my will. It is a waste of space on my phone and doesn’t even accomplish anything because it just links you to the this app website.

By

Nonfunctional

Nothing in NFAAS even works. You clink various options and either get sent to a blank screen, or nothing happens at all.

By

It works...

But only because I deleted NFAAS and reinstalled it and it updated itself when I did so - no thanks to NFAAS store/Big Navy for that heads up so you only get 4 out of 5 stars. For those naysayers who discredit NFAAS because it just takes you to a website that can be easily bookmarked, I think it's apparent that the Navy is now talking to an app driven generation and that even the most mundane tasks require this level of concession in order to get the job done. Sad but true...

By

Surprise!

Command promotes it as a quick easy way to submit this app muster and surprise! It doesn’t. Just redirects you to the website that you can google and save yourself... can’t escape the long savored tradition of runarounds in the navy I guess.

By

Pointless app

Just bookmark the website because you can’t do anything useful from NFAAS , it just links to the website.

By

Can’t get past frontpage

I can’t get past the first page. No installations are listed. Does NFAAS only work in an actual emergency or something? That seems dumb...

By

Update NFASS

NFAAS is outdated it needs an update where you can actually log on to update your information if you are away from the command

By

Unreliable

This is the answer to an emergency? An app that brings you to a website that can’t sustain the amount of people trying to log in.
