WhereHaveIBeen is good but recently switched to a subscription model. I can’t fault for the developer for wanting to try a different business model for new users but revoking the lifetime premium license for the previous purchasers amounts to stealing. I would have never purchased or tried WhereHaveIBeen if it was a subscription and while reviewing my history today I’m notified that in 3 months my previously purchased feature is to be terminated. For potential customers do yourself a favor and find another app/developer that won’t take away your previously purchased content at their convenience.

App is so slow and boggy that it’s not worth using. I used to be able to go to any day I wanted. Now app is so slow that it takes forever to load and you never know if it’s giving you the locations for the correct day. Sits there and changes every couple minutes.

I paid for premium access years ago. And now you want me to pay again. I was told I would have access to my data until April 2021, but I HAVE NO ACCESS AT ALL BECAUSE WhereHaveIBeen IS CONTINUING TO CRASH.

Since the latest version release, WhereHaveIBeen won’t run on my iPhone XS Max. It says “upgrading to the latest version/ Please wait…” but never seems to get there. According to the Apple Store, I already have the latest version. Oh well.

used to work well but doesn’t work any more after subscription model implemented even tho I paid for premium previously. fortunately was able to find better and more accurate alternatives that are free

Obviously, from the history of the reviews, this used to be a fabulous app. I’ve been using it for about a month. It was working great.

Now it crashes every time I open it. Will someone please recommend how I can fix this?

Believe it or not, before there was a stupid subscription for WhereHaveIBeen, there was a one-time premium purchase model. And it’s not as if the monthly subscription incentives the developer to improve WhereHaveIBeen . Check how long the gap is between updates to see how much this developer cares about their app.

Purchased the perpetual license years ago to support them. They recently revoked those licenses and went to a subscription model, no longer supporting those who supported them early on. Guys, I understand the need to move to a subscription service, but at least honor those who have previously purchased the perpetual license.

Love the idea; seeing everywhere you've been over a period of time. However, since I've installed WhereHaveIBeen , I've seen some crumbs disappear. We visited San Diego and Vegas a month ago, but the crumbs now only go back 22 days and there aren't crumbs there anymore. I know I've been all over the local area, it's the cool trips I don't do often that I want to see...

Could be smarter and remember exact places I changed to. Use it every day!

Handy Although it still has occasional bugs it works well I use it to keep track of where I have been when I forget to write down my time for service calls to my customers

Downloaded this when I needed to log time spent at a location, and I forgot to write it down. Not always 100% accurate on exact spot but close enough to help jog memory.

Biggest downside is scrolling through dates in WhereHaveIBeen can be frustrating. Sometimes days don't represent correctly. You can scroll from one day to the next and it may show the same data. Sometimes it just takes a minute or two, but sometimes it just doesn't show correctly.

On the plus side, the reporting feature in the options is solid and you can email a spreadsheet of all activity to yourself. Much better than trying to rely on WhereHaveIBeen itself to show the right data for the right day.

Bleat Inc. has a winner in this tracking software. I just return from a short vacation to Taiwan. During this fabulous trip, I was able to document my trip on my iPhone 6 +, keeping both GPS, texted titled location of the more famous sites, some street address, some large hotel names where I stayed, and most important maps from regional to some street maps which Zi did screen dumps ti a .png file for my photo library.
This program is definitely in my book a 5 star plus app.

Great location tracking app. Developers are helpful. If you have a problem with WhereHaveIBeen crashing then contact support and they'll help you get it solved.

WhereHaveIBeen is fantastic. I love that I can see all the places I have been (esp useful for tracking time traveling for work) but also that I have control of my data. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved WhereHaveIBeen back around 2015, lots of updates and it seems to lose basic functionality as it adds bells and whistles.
Biggest gripe is the updates come out very slow, so unfortunately it breaks with new iOS updates and may take months and months to work again.
Makes me hate apple for crap backwards comparability.

After the last update, WhereHaveIBeen would crash on startup. I contacted Bleat through their website. They responded quickly. After sending my data, they analyzed it, they did not find anything directly wrong with the data so they made a minor tweak & had me try it. It did not fix the problem. We then deleted WhereHaveIBeen (backed up the data first), re-installed WhereHaveIBeen , & restored the data. Launched WhereHaveIBeen & It Worked! Thank you Bleat Team!! Fantastic app that works well!

I have used WhereHaveIBeen for many years for billing and knowing my time at locations at sites and I love it.

If you loved latitude,you'll love WhereHaveIBeen.

The name WHIB is better than journey imho.

Also the map screen seems to not be connected to the data on the day below the map sometimes which is extremely confusing.

I'd love to see an "all day" view if possible as well as all of the day parts.

Being able to see where I was and "prove" it is extremely helpful.

Also, a few days ago WhereHaveIBeen crashed – so I wrote to customer service not expecting anything, but they immediately responded had me send some data to them, and they fixed it and sent it back.

IMPRESSIVE especially for a free service!

Low battery usage and easily accessible history. Very useful.
Also it stopped launching after New Years so I sent an email to customer service informing them of problem. They replied within hours, said it was a glitch related to new year and only impacted display. Today another email saying it had been fixed and check App Store. Doesn't get much better.

Fantastic way of keeping track of your day and without having to use multiple apps. I just started using it but I can already tell that I'm going to come back and revisit in several weeks or months to figure out where I spent my life between work and home and commuting!
