Gives your brain a real workout!

Just 2 Words is a super creative app that really gives your brain a workout! The apparently unrelated or mysterious picture clues challenge you to figure out common 2-word phrases or a well known person’s name. Besides the challenge of Just 2 Words, it’s also highly addictive — Once you get the hang of it, you just have to keep playing... Whenever you get stuck, there are several ways to get a hint to help you solve the puzzle. It’s my favorite go-to puzzler!

Toughest Challenge

I play the game only periodically because some of the puzzles are virtually impossible for me to solve without David’s hint. Even though I am an excellent Jumble solver, having often two long words to decipher with the help of picture clues takes forever. After solving some puzzles, I am still unable to “get” the clues in the pictures. Since I don’t get many points for a solved puzzle, using David’s cheapest hint can quickly eat up my accumulated points at 40 points a pop. Sorry, David, but I refuse to pay for the game when there are so many out there that I can do for free.

A fun challenge

I have been playing Just 2 Words for several years and it does not get old. The ads are short and do not interrupt play. A player is awarded coins for each puzzle solved. Bonus coins are awarded for solving at least one puzzle a day up to ten days.
If the puzzle seems difficult, there is a scramble feature thar rearranges the unused letters for a different perspective and a skip button the allows a player to skip to a new puzzle and continue the daily streak. Down load it it is fun!

Challenging and Addictive

This puzzle can be both enjoyable to play and maddening. Some puzzles are easy; others are brain teasers. A photo can have more than one meaning attached to it. If you’re stumped and use a hint, it’s palm slap time. The solution then becomes obvious, and you are able to see how David tricked you into going down the wrong path to arrive at destination frustration. It’s all in good fun and a healthy workout for those little gray cells. I often engage in playing binges. It’s a very addictive puzzle.

Just 2

A really fun game. Keeps me thinking. Thanks for letting me do it at my own pace. You guys are really clever with all these! I’m almost 92 so it’s a real challenge occasionally to get the brain/eye in sync. and climb inside your head! Thanks for the wonderful amusement in this bizarre world!
I’m left handed, so I blame that on my tendency to solve the last word first!
Keep us thinking! One think I would like is if you would tell us it’s someone’s name.

Just two words

I do enjoy Just2Words but I think you should get more coins than 4 for solving. Some of the picture clues don’t make sense to me; could have chosen a better clue, but I like the challenge and if I do not have have enough coins in order to advance, the answers are on the Internet and help with the next time that same picture clue comes around.
I prefer the Jumble Puzzle. I have accumulated way more coins then I will need but it makes me feel safe!

Fun game

I really like this game. I would have given it five stars but it has one problem. It does not always keep good track of time. I do the puzzle every morning while I have my coffee. However, it often says I have started a new streak when it should know I have one in progress. Today it said my last game was two days ago which is wrong. They need to fix this. Otherwise it is a fun game. Update: it has been four months without new games. Does this mean it is over?

Thinking outside the Box

Great game . Offers both brain and visual stimulation. When I have to use a clue I am like of course I should have had that.
Lots of creative thinking behind this game
One thing I noticed whether I play on my phone or my kindle is that it closes periodically. Easy enough to reopen just a momentary disruption. Highly recommend if you like words and a bit of a challenge. MARE

Just Two Words

David L. Hoyt creates the most clever word puzzles. I am in awe of his entertaining puns, in Jumble, and his substitution of photos for words in Just 2 Words. He has created other games, which I also play to stimulate my old brain cells. Since it was proven that keeping one’s brain active, to help prevent or slow down Alzheimer’s, I solve many of his other puzzles.

Challenging

I really enjoy the daily challenge; definitely keeps the mind sharp. Look forward to doing these puzzles, and really disappointed when I've completed all levels and no updates are available. Keep up the great work in keeping us enthusiasts challenged. 😉

Good game

Fun and challenging, but the developer doesn’t update it often enough. I only do one puzzle each day and there is no way there are enough puzzles for the 6 month + time span between updates. At least that many days’ worth should be released and the next release should be ready hot on the heels of that expiration.

Mrs Diana

I play one game every night when I get in bed. I love the challenge and can get most of them quickly. When I am stumped, I send to my twin sister and we solve it together. Thank you for this game. You keep creating and I’ll keep playing. Then I will start all over again!

Just Two Words

My favorite word puzzle game. Some puzzles are truly brain teasers. Some are out right hard and some are very easy. The mixture is very stimulating to the brain. I finished all 1820 games and I can hardly wait for additional games to become available. Very addictive game. I am going through withdrawal.

Just two words

Enjoyed this game to a point.... Some words are too long and hard to figure out the clues which are SO irrelevant to the answer. I've spent $$ and am so frustrated I'll stop once I spent my current supply. I LOVE two words plus puzzle... Is a bit more sensible....
I'm down to 10 coins.... I'm about done. The words are so long and clues/pictures so "out there".... 😣
I'm waiting for an update to 2words plus. I enjoy that so much more! 😊

Challenging

About a year or so ago, I started doing this puzzle. It seemed daunting at first, but as time passed I got better and better. What was once difficult became more and more fun and I now start everyday with this puzzle. Keeps my old brain on its toes.

Fun and sometimes puzzling

Sometimes the answer is easy. Sometimes not. But the clues you can buy come from the coins you earn from solving puzzles. I have this on my iPhone and Kindle and play both every day.

Great start to the day

This is a game that brings your mind to a full awakening when played in the early morning hours. It is even better at night to soothe one’s mind from the day’s stress.
I start each day by doing just one Just 2 Words. It is fun and gets my day off to a great start.

Keep my mind active

Just 2 Words is a challenge for this octogenarian some days. It is a good way to relax, as well as keeping my mind alert. I’ve enjoyed playing your Jumble in the newspaper for years and this jumble is “icing on the puzzle cake”. Elizabeth

Fun game - sometimes the pictures are a bit strange

Enjoyable, quick-to-play game. One of my dailies. If you like Jumble-type games, you'll like this one. My only complaint is that occasionally it’s very hard to see how the pictures help with the answer. Other times, you have to watch for spelling (e.g., “strait” vs. “straight”). Generally fun to play.

Great Game!

I have all of David L. Hoyt’s games and enjoy playing everyone of them. Just Two Words is challenging enough to keep me interested, but not so much of a challenge as to be frustrating. If you like word games, you will love this one!

Creative unscrambling game

Puzzles range from easy to really tough. Sometimes the pictures allow me to figure the 2 word phrase or name without much thinking and other times the pictures don’t tell me anything so I have to relay on my unscrambling the given letters into 2 words. Sometimes after I get the answer there is an aha moment and other times I don’t see how the picture(s) could have ever given me the answer. But I love the challenge to solve the puzzle one way or the other!
