Latest Update Needs a Giant Step Backwards

2025-03-27

by World Travel Bum

This latest version will not automatically update the issue and I must delete the app, reinstall and sign in before being able to read that day’s newspaper. Navigation is still unnecessarily complex compared to the original version that I used for years with no complaints. If you touch the screen any way the app doesn’t like, the screen locks on maximum size and the user must go to the next page, go back to the previous page and touch it to read at normal size. My current iPads work seamlessly with all other apps. The only solution I see is to ditch this update and go back to an earlier version that actually works.

Improve! Don’t ignore the quality flows.

I give up, I found a year old story via browser and unable to open it, then a teaser of a few words and a prompt to login. Searching same keywords in search option in the app - pathetic, it can’t find anything. Support doesn’t exist. No matter how much and who to I reported, it is what it is. If you quit as a customer - they don’t care. You can brag about your Pulitzer Prize. You deserved it because an excellent journalism or a political mainstream. But you customer service and app management is seriously lacking responsibility and action. And no developer feedback to most concerns? So one star review.

So difficult to use

This app is to difficult to use. When you zoom in, it is difficult to adjust size or zoom out. When you are finished reading articles on a page the forward button just keeps returning to the first article in the page instead of moving to the next one.
However, the most frustrating part for me is that if I am signed into the app and I click on an imbedded article the app makes me sign in again.
Please fix these issues to make reading your paper mor enjoyable.
