I used to love this game but the update is making me want to stop playing all together. Everything is too small, the layout is bad, the rearrangements and color. Basically everything that has been changed with this new update is awful and unnecessary. The only thing I like is the fact that I can now see when I am out of a certain recipe. I don't play as much because of this but I will keep it to see if it will go back to normal with the next update. The game was great and one of my favorites please put things back to normal. Just maybe change the ridiculous star requirements and how everything costs so darn much.

Update: I wrote this months ago and never sent it...I don’t know what on earth happened but not only does this game have certain flaws, you can barely play it. Playing this game feels as though I am waiting for my mother to hang up the phone so I can use the internet. We have progressed far too much for these problems to be happening. You’ve made updates for the worst. Not sure if it was for budget cuts or what but you are and will be losing more costumers/money with these “new” updates than you would have leaving it the way it was. I’ve been a long time player but at this point I am working way too hard to get from my garden to my restaurant and to play a game that used to bring some anti stress. Come on guys.

i will say the game is really cute and i like how there is no time limit to get the orders done and get the customers out to allow for new ones. Thats really cool BUT there are some changes you guys really should consider. The latest update wasn't the greatest. The game is very slow to load, very slow when you go to your friends pages, I never did like how you can only gift 4 people per day, after the update you never get goodie gifts anymore and when you play the commercials they crash a lot too. The equipment is very costly considering you don't get much money for your orders. I cant sit and enjoy and play your game because the food takes too long to make. some of the vegetables take too much away from the goodie stash for planting which I think should be minimal. I enjoyed playing the game but won't be playing for much longer as i have more valuable things to spend my money on like living expenses and have very little time to sit around and wait 2+ hours to fill orders.
UPDATE: I really liked this game until the last few updates and now there are too many ads and this game crashes multiple times. I even have a brand new up to date iPad and it still crashes so much some days I can't even play.
Well, good bye. Unfortunately I'm deleting you.

Edit: I’m actually dropping my review a little more. They have a booth where you can earn extra coins. I tried this out so I could get a little ahead and make the game a bit more even with what I described below from my original review. Anyway I tried it out using the dollar shave one. It said I received my reward but in fact did not. I sent in a request to support for help as I tried refreshing and waiting a few hours and it still hadn’t shown up. IMMEDIATELY after sending the request to have it fixed I got an automated email that stated they had checked everything and saw that I had already received my award. Obviously there was not enough time they could have actually checked to resolve the problem. Down at the bottom it even stated it was an automatic reply. I lost my trust with the developers of this game.

I like the game but it could use better looking decor. You also get customers in asking for a certain item you can’t even make till you level up and they won’t leave your table so your stuck with them taking up one of your tables till you reach that level.

At first I thought it was me when I could not progress in the game, but now after reading some of the reviews, it appears I am not alone. This game wants you to constantly spend money on advancing to the next level. It costs to have everything in the restaurant including sending your employees to the academy. I see that the feedback from other reviews are saying to add the wine bar, academy, etc. and I have done that and still no luck. Even with the VIP package that keeps being thrown around it is still no help. I wish that there was a way to make fast money more quickly in order to buy the appliances or a way to delete the orders because I have 10 tables and only 1 can be served. That’s not right! It should be a suggestion box for the customers who orders things from the menu that aren’t even there so the player will be able to buy more appliances. It’s sad that the developers don’t even care what all of the players are even saying but keeps wanting us to play this game for their benefit. I guess they will get the picture once no one is playing this game anymore.

New- You should have the option to FREELY remove orders that you can’t fulfill. Even if y’all make it so you can only take off a certain amount a day. I’ve had some tables sitting there days. Once i get one thing i need then here comes all my tables wanting something i don’t have. I have 6 tables but I’ve been playing with one for like 3 days. Because i won’t have something needed to make the order. Then when i finally buy it, everyone all of a sudden wants something i don’t have.

*original- It started off REALLY fun. Until it got to the point where ALL my tables want something from the salad bar which I don’t have money to get. Since all my tables want what I don’t have, I can’t make money to buy it either. It’s frustrating as hell. I bought things from the salad bar from other people and can’t even use them for my order. Y’all need to make it so that you can DISMISS orders that you don’t have items for. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DISMISS THEM FOR FREE, because AGAIN, once you get stuck with orders you can’t make, you can’t make coins, dollars or anything.

So the game started off ok. Now I can’t even progress in the game because of the price of the different stations. The new customers want me to surprise them with a new recipe that I will never be able to produce. Therefore I can’t collect XP. There should be a way to delete the customers that you can’t help. I have a full restaurant with no way to serve them.

In response to developers:: ok so what you’re saying is that there’s no way to progress in the game without spending actual money? That’s sort of ridiculous. At least give the option of deleting orders that you can’t fill, so the game can still be played. At this point I have ten tables. Only one can be served and it’s only a matter of time until that one will be unavailable too. You’ve made the prices of the next level of appliances too high knowing that gullible people will spend money to get them. Not a good way to keep players playing. Good for you because you’re making money, but how about the 10 year old kid playing the game? How is that fair to him/her? By making an impossible goal? Pretty lame on your part if you ask me. There’s a lot more that needs to be fixed in this game. Starting with your morals.

I get it if the point is “put your phone down, work for an hour and come back.” Every once in a while.
But completing single tasks takes hours in this game. Wait 30 mins for an ingredient, then 1 hour for the dish, need more cream and ooooo too bad you’re out of money. Wait another hour and it’ll be back so you can complete 6 seconds of the game— or pay 2 dollars for coins, 2 dollars for bucks, 2 dollars for in-game points, and 5 dollars to unlock secrets instantly! I get it’s a game for micro purchasing— but it’s impossible to progress without spending money, there’s no way to gather enough resources without doing so. Which is just unfair and dumb and scam-y. I guess if you have 100 bucks to slowly burn go for it but without the proposition for rewards on another game, I would never get this game again. It’s dated, it’s a scam, it’s not fun, not even a distraction. And they take their sweet time responding to the reward center to get me my points on PewdiePie’s game so HURRY UP PLZ >:(

I’m literally on Level 26, this game is addicting and I have spent some money on it. The only real complaint I have is how long some of the dishes take to make even when there’s a hired chef. I just don’t feel like a whole hour is justifiable. The waiting is almost insufferable at moments. Other than that, I love it. *** MONTHS LATER*** I’m back. All the money I spent on this game is GONE. My entire restaurant is GONE. I have no idea how to restore purchases and I’m about to delete the game. I didn’t come that far just to have to re-work all over again—especially considering I spent MONEY!!! on it!!!

Coming back AGAIN. Why does this game not have an option to restore purchases STILL. The game center has all my achievements as proof that I spent time and money on this game and yet, it still brings me right back to level 1 when i re-download. Give me back my resturaunt like?

I like the game, but I feel like it becomes a money grab by the time you really begin placing the cooking items. The amount of coins you need is a lot, and you don't earn much in a quick period. The amount you need for the expansions is a lot and takes a long time to build up unless you spend money.

ETA: I really like playing this game, but it is so hard to play. It takes forever to cook, build up money, increase expansions, and we still only have ONE strawberry patch with multiple vines for grapes and apple trees. What also makes this game hard to play is the constant freezing and crashing. Also, I don't understand why there are tiles not able to be used or bought after you have unlocked them. It's very frustrating and I hate to do it, but I think I am going to delete the game. No sense in trying to play a game that is unplayable.

I’ve enjoyed playing the game so far for the passed few months but I really don’t like that my order wheel is completely filled with orders I can’t make because I can’t buy the new stations. I’m stuck to only being able to make 3 orders at least because all the other orders require new equipment. By the time I can get the new station, I’m going to be behind 3 more stations that I will unlock by leveling up and it’ll just keep being an annoying cycle of orders I can fill because stations cost so many coins. I am aware of other options to make more coins but the prices on the new stations are ridiculous. The fact that the land extensions are cheaper than the equipment is crazy.

This is a super fun game to kill time. I don’t mind the long waits on things as I can go back to it every few hours without feeling like I’m spending all my time in the phone. Having said that the equipment is way to expensive. I have 4 orders I can’t even complete and am no where near enough money to buy the equipment that I need. I wish you could reject orders or something. I can’t make money because I can’t complete half my orders. It is to the point I’m probably going to quit. It’s no fun when you have 9 orders but no hope of doing half of them. UPDATE I purchased bucks in game today. The game crashed and I didn’t get them but was charged. Sent both an email and Facebook message. Waiting to hear back.

I have played for over a year and pop up mistakes have been fairly dealt with. This time however I had to deal with iTunes bc I could not clear the screen of the word claim....even closing closing the game and rebooting, it still said claim. So I hit claim which next meant I had to deal with iTunes for my first time ever. Pulled money out of two accounts to put in another account to cover the charge that you would not. However you have your screen so cluttered, even now I'm still pulling up popups to purchase. I now have more indicators to verify a purchase from any game, even for free downloads as instructed by iTunes. At least iTunes was willing to refund the charge...this time, that next morning. So many pop up for your game. I know I'm not the only one that has had to do this. Clean your screen up. Was once 5 stars and addicted daily player. Your customer service was good when I made purchase mistakes in game. Now I check in mostly to help everyone with requests. It's hard to feel so excited anymore, especially now when I had to tell my husband what happened. He was once a daily player too.

I like playing this game. But I don’t like how everything is so incredibly expensive. It takes me months to save up for the appliances or new items. And it’s ridiculous how much ingredients are sometimes and the baskets take a while to recharge. I don’t like how the catering truck and the order wheel wants orders from appliances I don’t even have. I wish there was a way to discard orders so I can make more money to buy the appliances.

But I have contacted customer support a few times and they have been very helpful, professional, and they’ve always solved the problem. I would recommend this game.

I think this is a cute game, I enjoy playing it when I can actually play, but the progression of the game can feel very slow. You can only perform so many tasks or pick up so many ingredients before running out of resources in each session I play. You then buy all the ingredients to make an item, say pizza dough, but need to wait 1 h 41 m to make it. Then you need to make the pizza which is another 1+ hour(s). So there’s a lot of short bursts of time spent in my actual game but I do enjoy it overall. The planning, organizing and strategy is fun.

I wrote a previous review on how I wasn’t happy with your last update, however they’re doing great at taking feedback on what needed fixed and the new Halloween theme is really cool! Hopefully they do that with all major holidays. I play this game every day and have for years now, fun and a great time filler...my only feedback now is that I hope in time that they lower prices for the new appliances and perhaps the time frame it takes to cook dishes. It takes weeks to save up for a new appliance if you don’t spend a lot of actual money. Then you start getting customers requesting dishes for the new appliance that you don’t have and limits your game play. Pls consider making this a little easier!

This game used to be so much fun. I liked it because it was so realistic looking. I never thought that there were enough pretty decorations to decorate, hopefully that will change. But, on the other hand you have to fill your restaurant was so many things to give you money and XP that decorating it doesn’t make any sense anymore. Also now you have to pay for allThe new features, and they are very pricey compared to what you get for them. I hate being asked to spend money all the time. If that is all you want you should just charge for the game and people can either pay it or not play, I for one would find another game. Just really feel bad that you made this game all about money and it used to be so fun.

Honestly I’ve had this game for a while and I don’t see any problems. I don’t understand why people are backing away! I love this game so much, I play it all the time. Now, if I were to have any critiques for you, it would probably be to make things cost less. Sometimes when I get customers, they want something from, for example, the pizza oven, when I don’t even have it because it costs too much. I would also appreciate if we got money and coins when we level up, because you work so hard to get to the next level, and then all you get is stuff for cooking😢. Thank you so much for making this game, I really hope you don’t regret it!

Have played Star Chef for several years and continue to enjoy. It is good to play a game with players from many other countries who share the same diversion. It is not always easy, but it is possible to play and advance without spending real money. Patience and perseverance will carry you through.
In this game, you can choose which activity areas you wish to unlock. There is no one single way to play Star Chef. Choices change the direction and priorities in your kitchen.
Tech support is accessible from within the game and they have always been helpful with any issues. It may take a little time, but they will respond. Star Chef is a positive relaxing activity. This is my favourite game: lots of fun, different options for game play, and it makes me think. 02 april 2019

I have been playing this game for more than a year, play every day and really enjoy it. I have never spent real money, and have enough coins and XP to buy the appliances and advance. In my opinion, the trick is to play the catering trucks. If you fill the orders early, you get huge bonuses. It does take a while to learn how many items of each thing you will need to make, but definitely worth it. I rarely fill table orders as the payout isn't worth it unless there's a double $ or XP. Also, play the occasional challenges to earn extras. I appreciate how responsive the team is to feedback (eventually).

I like the game, but it’s annoying because of the instability. I purchased two “in app purchases” and didn’t get either of them. The FAQs says it can take up to 24 hours for them to show up! These games make money by impulse purchases, if I have to wait 24 hours, chances are I no longer want it and guess what, I won’t make future purchases either. It appears to be a requirement to log into Itunes. If you hit cancel instead of entering your password, it shuts down and restarts...over and over and over and over. If you enter your password, it shuts down and starts over...over and over and over... as I’m writing this, I’m wondering why I’m even bothering with playing this game...hmm...
