I have complained about AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV not working outside the house for some time now, and today for the first time while connected to wifi it worked and looked great, so now I have to wonder even though I was told it worked with cell phone plan maybe I was given incorrect information and it only works when connected to wifi. Still a great app though. Get it to work with phone 4G/LTE and I will give it 5 star.

I’ve been using this for years as a nanny cam when our kids would nap while visiting friends. Never had a works as well as a dedicated camera. Has never disconnect and is super easy to configure. Have used with MacBook, 3 different models of iPad, and 4 different iPhone models. Excellent app!

I was having issues with the steaming camera loosing connection, so I decided to watch the camera and see if I could figure out the problem, right after and ad popped up, it looses connection, and never reconnects, completely worthless once you leave the house, if this is their way of making you buy the products full version, I got news for them I won’t buy it, if I can not test it, and have it work for 20 minutes, then I won’t buy it. Complete waste of time.

I have been using AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV for about two years and I am very satisfied with it. I placed my old iPhone facing the front of the house where the sun hit hard that’s why the iPhone get to hot and ram out of battery while charging but I found a solution I placed next to it a small fan and that’s it.

I have just downloaded AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV and it was easy to setup. I would recommend to to others. Price for the upgrade is slightly higher than others but the ease of use and quick setup makes it a better buy.

Had been using for months to monitor cellar on 3GS. It was the most stable iPhone for streaming which is why I chose to use it in the cellar because I never go down there. Switched to the Presence app a couple of months ago due to account issues and have been dissatisfied. Trying to switch back to AtHome but the streamer app will not launch on the 3GS. Used it on that device for almost a year before and never had to mess with it. After the ‘optimization ‘ update it no longer works.

I down load AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV a few years ago. When I first down loaded the apps the video and sound quality was very choppy. After many updates the apps are much much better. The video and sound quality are smooth and clear. I love AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV.

Fantastic simple app to be able keep an eye on my pets while I am out of the house. Works on WiFi and 4g the only problem is I cannot find any instructions if I want to buy a camera and not use my iPad as a cam.

I’ve had AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV for a long time now. In the past I would get a lot of false alarms, but now for about a week I’m not getting any recordings, or notifications on my older iPad. On my newer iPhone AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV closes down daily. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated, if it’s not improved soon I’ll have to change to something else.

This is so easy to use. Download on your device that is the camera and link with the other app downloaded into the viewing device. Works perfect even from long distances, like miles and miles. Love it!

If your internet service has periodic drops, last say a couple seconds, the camera disconnects and cant reconnect. So I get about 10 minutes of viewing and then thats it. I bought ad free- no improvement. Cloud service - no improvement. Essentially its useless.

Within the first 5 minutes of installation on two separate iOS devices (7+ and iPad Pro) BOTH devices continually dimmed to black while i was in the middle of doing something. Only happened with AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV installed and stopped immediately after i deleted it. Needs a LOT of work for iOS platform.

i really love AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV because you can turn any phone or tablet into a camera. one downside is that there aren’t that many features of you don’t buy cloud service. but on the bright side you can connect to your camera anywhere around the word as long as you have wifi. that is one main reason i love AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV .

I realize that AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV is ad-supported and free, but the ads themselves cause AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV 's audio to crash, therefore causing audio to be muted on the monitoring side. If you are going to put ads in your app, that is fine - but please make sure the ads aren't giving your app bugs!

Great concept... now only if the camera didn't go offline at the most crucial times 😒 Needs major work... the device I use as the camera is an IPad Air 2

You have to pay for monthly cloud service to download your video. Great thing iOS now has screen recording.

I used AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV a few years ago and it was great and free! Now it just doesn’t initialize. All I get is camera initializing it never work oh well I guess I’ll. Try again another time

Crashes too often. Can't depend on it working when I leave the house. Gets worse with each update.

This is one of my most used apps on multiple devices. I wish I can attach a screen shot because all my iPhones I use as cams and streamers all have 256gb but AtHomeVideoStreamerDIYCCTV takes up 97% of my storage!!! I have contacted support so many countless times and have NEVER GOTTEN A RESPONSE EVER. I’ve spent hundredssss of dollars using their companion apps together on about six devices average and I pay for the highest tier package for years. But I can’t have any other apps on any of my phones and it’s getting out of control. Sadly I am going to have to delete. It just doesn’t make sense to me why the camera app AVS (this one) has to use 223gb of my memory I don’t get it and that’s just not practical. What are you storing on my devices?!?! Thought it was a cloud service. I’ve deleted almost all my local storage downloads and still nothing. It’s very suspicious!!!
