SYBU for Kodi Reviews

This remote is super easy to pair, has a clean, modern look, and has plenty of useful features like intuitive scrolling using the mag buttons or gestures which is quite useful and the ability to close out of Kodi and turn off your device right from SYBU .

This is my go-to app for Kodi control. Stable and works every time. The dark UI makes sense as well. Only asks, make the navigation arrows around the OK button larger and better spaced as there are a lot of accidental OK selections. Also, its unclear what buttons fast forward vs. completely restart a video.

Updating my review with a lost star. It’s been a long time and those annoyed arrow buttons make navigating frustrating. Accidental “OK” presses waste so much time in Kodi.

I have tried almost all the Kodi remotes, including the official one. This remote is the only one that works well. I can easily access all my radio stations and music in my NAS. It even has wake on line so that I can turn on and off my computer using the remote.

One thing I hope that can be improved though:

Although there are different media types, I only use my favorites and sources. Hope there is a way to customize the menu so that I only keep those two on the start menu.

Overall it is very good remote. Five star!

One complaint is that one iPhone you can’t rotate SYBU and the keyboard efficiency isn’t great but it’s a solid app.

Other kodi remotes are incompatible or if they are our library doesn’t show in remote. I have the option to go full screen with SYBU and it’s easy to fast forward or rewind. A complete remote IMHO

Good application, each update seems to make it more stable. Kodi plays well with it, love being able to see what addons I have installed and launch them from the remote.

By far the best remote I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a-lot of them.

Full control of Kodi, fast & easy control of sliding to an exact time of a show and a great keyboard feature.

You gotta give it a test drive, you’ll be glad you did.

Works fantastic with Kodi. Nice to be able to control with my iPhone. It's also great to be able to change the volume without having to grab another remote.

You can easily navigate around and there's a slick search function with categories for movies, tv, etc. Not often do you get all this for free with no ads!

I no longer have to get up and mess with my laptop every time I want to change something, works perfectly.

Why are movie titles displayed in a small window now rather than the full screen? Please put it back the way it was, this is a horrible change. Also, you broke the queue. Extremely disappointed.

I was contemplating on buying a fire stick because I was sick and tired of using full control. Then, I found this amazing app, and now I don't need a fire stick.

Great app. I wish that you’re going to add lock screen controls and password protection (set a password on Kodi server/app and then enter that password to iOS app to login)

I have a fire stick and use their app; however, when it comes to kodi I find SYBU the best and I tried them all!

The control that this gives you makes my experience phenomenal!

I am an older person so was very surprised that I installed it with no problem. I just love it and I’m saving so much money on cable.

This remote has a clean UI and it works when you push a button.

The general functionality of SYBU works great. My only request would be the addition of built in smart light control. Everything else works perfectly.

Easy access to favorites, addons, & searching videos to specific time. I'm delighted by SYBU.

Awesome app, everything great and the theam are lovley.
The only thing i dont likr its that you can connect 2 computers to SYBU , like profiles that i can switch between them...

When I use the sources option while something else is playing, about half the time my Raspberry Pi crashes.

Also I would love to have the option to "Play from Here" on the sources lists. I like to marathon TV shows, but I can only do that if I use the arrows and navigate to the list using the interface on the TV.
