Nice idea

Panna is fine. I'm only interested in a minority of recipes, but that turns out to be quite a few. The videos is what sets it apart. If you need help with technique, this is the place. My problem is that they lost my subscription and I had to pay a second time to get many of my favorite, recipes back. I tried to contact this app as well as the Apple Store. But no one was there to help. I don't like getting ripped off, and I am always suspicious that some day they will delete my account again. Judging from the other reviews, I'm not the only one that has had account issues. Too bad.

Subscription did not cancel

I canceled my subscription just a few days into using Panna because I did not like it. 3 weeks later, I was charged for the subscription - and don't even have access to Panna ! Waiting on a response to get a refund and also put in a complaint to PayPal. This is fraudulent

Edit: I ended up trying Panna since I was forced into the subscription anyway. The recipes are legitimately awful. Some way too salty - others bland - bacon in everything, when there shouldn’t be bacon. The recipes are incredibly challenging to follow, and tend to jump around a lot. Prep this, then jump to that, then reincorporate this. You’re switching from step to step rapidly. This would be great if you have an entire kitchen staff to delegate to- but not for one or two people to execute.

Garbage app

Logs me out all the time, doesn’t have exact measurements where it would be convenient (how much is half a head of romaine huh? It’s not like every head of romaine is the same size.) A lot of the chef talk is just useless garbage and a lot of them just don’t look too pleased to be there. Also there haven’t been any new recipes added in at least 6 months. Maybe I’m wrong about that but I really can’t remember the last time I saw something new on here. Also no way to ask questions on Panna ? What’s the point of the section if you can’t use it? Lastly, the subscription is wayyyyy overpriced. Save your money and get the online ATK subscription. You get a lot more for a lot less, and at least their website functions normally unlike this piece of trash.

Instructions from the best chefs

This is the first review for an app I have ever written, and it’s because Panna is my favorite cooking app. The video instructions from the chefs that create the recipe is my favorite feature. The written instructions on how the pie dough should look pale in comparison to actually seeing how it should look like. Not to mention the recipes themselves are absolutely delicious! I’d pay the yearly subscription fee alone for the recipe for Salted Caramel Apple Pie and Yemenite Sabbath Stew. If I could give this 10 stars, I would.

Anna loves Panna

I love this app- tried it out for a week and bought a lifetime subscription. I only tried one recipe but it won me over (the Parmesan cabbage salad).

Love what’s here especially the classes from other countries. Hoping to see more from international chefs and cuisine in the future and a bit less fried and bbq meats since both of these aren’t as easy when you live in a city apartment :)

I would recommend this to anyone - for a class you typically pay one or two hundred dollars, well worth investment.

Love the Chefs & Videos!

I really enjoy Panna especially because of the short videos from respectable chefs. It’s been a week since downloading and though I haven't made any recipes from start to finish, I’ve applied some new (ohhh, that’s how you do it!) techniques on my regular home cooked meals. It’s worth noting that there isn’t a big library of recipes, so they may not have what your looking for if you have a certain dish in mind to make.

Great app to get you cooking like a chef

Panna really brings you closer to some ingredients you normally wouldn’t know of and gets you to use them in a creative way. The instructions are very detailed and the chefs on Panna are world renowned and offer great advice and techniques. What’s more you can then take what you learn here and apply those techniques and ingredients in your own way. Allowing you to improve your skills and gain culinary knowledge.

One of my favorite apps

I’m a home cook who is always looking to improve my skills, and Panna has been one of the best tools I have found. The ability to watch chefs prepare the food is invaluable, you pick up on so many details you never could with a written recipe. I’ve been with Panna since it launched, and it’s gotten better and better. I honestly can’t recommend this enough. :)

Triple great!

If you think you would like the equivalent of a one two punch in the face every single day of exquisite dishes that become more than just “Accessible” to anyone with Panna, but rather they are easily achievable with no outside help beyond Panna itself and they are amazing. The selection of known celebrity level chefs on here is astounding and they guide you through every step. I00%%love this.

App does not work and no customer service!

Great idea, love the videos, but impossible to really use. I keep being asked to subscribe even though i have a year’s subscription. Can’t access favorite recipes or see new ones although app confirms I have access for almost a year. No real customer service to contact. Panna is a recipe for frustration!

Very shady company.

They offered me a free 7 day trial and then one year membership for 50% off after that. Well, they didn’t give me a free trial and charged me for the membership right away. When I contacted their customer service, I got a response saying that I had already had a free trial in December because of a T-Mobile promotion, and that their system only allows one free trial per customer email. First of all, T-mobile gave me a class credit, not a free trial. Second, why do you offer a free trial if you can’t give a free trial. This is a scam. Stay away

Really insightful, interesting, and fun app

Panna is so informative and fun. You get to watch how to make very interesting dishes direct from the executive chefs from many of America’s best restaurants. And they show you some of their tips, tricks, and techniques too that I wish I would have learned many years ago.

Almost there

I would give Panna 5 stars but....

The shopping list is too burried in account. Move it out to bottom icon bar

It needs and only works with apple mail setup to share out your shopping list. Need to have other sharing options text, skype, Outlook, OneNote, notes and so forth.

Great place to see Great chefs.

Update: the new ask this app feature is amazing. I had a question about a recipe as I was in the store shopping for ingredients and someone got back to me BEFORE I LEFT THE STORE!!

I love getting introduced to new chefs. I’m also a visual learner so I’m a huge fan of how this is put together.

Starts unexpectedly loudly!

I keep my phone on silent...read about this new app in bed with my girlfriend while she was asleep...downloaded it, first time I opened it, within a second or two it just starts playing some video loudly. Woke her up and startled me. Not good practice and should not be allowed in Panna Store. Don’t plan to do anything else with Panna. A cooking app is the last place I would expect to override volume settings, especially within seconds of launching it.
