You can no longer get a prescription of any sort from DermatologyFirstDerm. No prescriptions whatsoever. That means DermatologyFirstDerm is now essentially useless. MY state, NJ, allows derms to prescribe the majority of meds online, so this cannot be a regional issue. Hopefully they will drop their prices very drastically from now on. Only download DermatologyFirstDerm if you are willing to pay $30 or more for recommendations about what creams and cleansers to buy at the drugstore. Maybe some people are actually willing to pay for such a service, but I hope I get a refund quickly.

You can pay $60 to get a response back from a no name staff “Dermatologist” and they can tell you what your rash is and not be able to prescribe anything. Save your money if you are thinking about paying for a service and just go to your doctor. If you can’t go use a telemedicine app.

Update: I don’t know that I want an anonymous source providing me medical advice. Anonymity should be in place for the users of your app. Not used to shield who is actually giving the advice.

I read a review about DermatologyFirstDerm and decided to send in a 48 hour case for $30. About an hour later, I decided to cancel. I sent an email, and I got a what appears to be automated response saying the case was under review by another doctor and that’s why it was taking so long. I sent another email and actually canceled the case in DermatologyFirstDerm . Well guess what, I was still charged. Keep in mind, I never saw any result. I sent several other emails and even called a number I found online, which always goes to a answering machine. They never reply or call back. Now I have to file a claim with the bank for services not rendered. Stay away from DermatologyFirstDerm unless you want a headache to go with your skin issue.

I chose to get an answer in 48 h (to save money) and since I sent my Q on Friday night, I expected an answer on Tuesday because of the weekend. When I got my answer on Sunday morning that made me positively surprised and very happy! I've been trying to get to a dermatologist, but where I live there is months (yes, plural, as in 2-3 months!) of waiting time for an appointment, this service is exactly what I needed to get an idea of my skin problem, thank you!

Thank you, you confirmed that Levido Reticulars was purple vein like pattern. I just saw a lot of info this morning on scar and sore like areas. I am making an appointment ASAP with Dermatologist. I have olive colored skin and tanned very easy but I also use to be a sun worshipers. Am praying that whatever it is that I have caught in time. Your confirming this has helped..

I have been dealing with this for about 10 years now and could not find any information for it and multiple doctors had no idea. No treatments have ever worked. It’s the first time I’ve seen pictures on the internet that look exactly like what I’m experiencing. I’m going to do a lot more research and I know where to go from here. You guys/gals are the real deal

I had a rough patch of skin that I went to two Doctors to diagnose what is was. This was worrying me so I just was browsing around and found DermatologyFirstDerm searching for something to help. I chose the option to get an answer in 8 hours which was a bit pricier but well worth it to have a response. The Doctor sent a response back to me within two hours. This is such a nice app to have especially when it takes forever to get an appointment to see a dermatologist. Thank you for your quick response and information on how to solve this problem over-the-counter. Very helpful and I would definitely try this again.

Paid for 24 hour response and got one back in 12. Worth every penny to have peace of mind about skin concerns and to have a definitive course of action to follow from an expert. App itself was easy to use and would not hesitate to utilize again.

SO glad I used DermatologyFirstDerm! Had a brown spot on my arm that was looking “odd” to my untrained eye and then all the sudden it turned red. 😳
When I did a little research online, I was worried it might be skin cancer. Couldn’t get a dermo app’t for 5 weeks. Then I remembered years ago, on Doctor Radio, hearing about an app like this (idk if it’s the same) so I downloaded it.
So, so happy with DermatologyFirstDerm. Easy to use and understand. Got my results back and it’s not cancer. Keeping my dermo app’t but at least I don’t have to worry and wonder.

I started out using their artificial intelligence on the website, I wanted to confirm the computers answer with a real dermatolosit, so i downloaded DermatologyFirstDerm . Incredible that it was the same answer. This is the future, I am sure computers will do all the diagnosing in the future and dermatologists will be a thing of the past.

DermatologyFirstDerm is saved me a lot of time and stopped me from being unduly worries. I had a rash on my neck and I did not want to see a dermatologist and pay for the visit. I used DermatologyFirstDerm to diagnose and it turned out to be just a bug bite. Easy to use and definitely recommend!

I had a random bacterial infection on my face and I just took a pic and in 6 hours ($60) I got my diagnosis ASAP! The doctor was correct and I did exactly what he said, and then bacteria was gone in 24 hrs. THANK YOU!!

DermatologyFirstDerm motivated me to make appointment with the dermatologist.
After submitting my case, I received a response that matched up with the results from my dermatologists biopsy; a precancerous lesion called Bowen’s or squamous cell carcinoma in situ. No wonder all the creams I tried didn’t work. Do yourself a huge favor and submit your case or make appointment with a dermatologist.
Best advice is to not wait.

My bed ridden mother has suffered with a skin condition for 6 months to a year now. Her regular dr did not know what it was. The hospital mis diagnosed it. She’s tried all kinds of random treatments and this has been the first answer I received that makes sense. It hasn’t been confirmed yet but I am 99% sure it is the correct diagnosis.
The diagnosis was Bollous pemgigoid. A very rare skin disease.

I’m honestly very grateful for this service. I’ve had skin problems all my life whether it be random rashes, outbreaks of eczema and just general skin irritation. It’s simply just not feasible to go to the dermatologist each time especially during this crisis. I was able to get professional help with my flare up from the safety of my own home. 10/10 service. Keep it up guys.

I’m so glad I used DermatologyFirstDerm. I’m always a bit skeptical (I’m an attorney and naturally not someone who would rely on a professional that I cannot see or to whom I could not
directly speak). But I loved the ease in which to use DermatologyFirstDerm plus the prompt response which helped me decide to immediately see a doctor and get an antibiotic for what was accurately diagnosed as a skin infection.

Time saver! And spot on / great service. I had something on my skin, like a rash or an allergy or something off out of a sudden. Googled it and ton of crazy options came up! Going to a derm in LA wud have taking me forever! to drive in that crazy traffic and could have been for nothing... DermatologyFirstDerm gave me an answer within the time I paid for! THANK YOU. I received a response in under two hours stating pityriasis rosea. At work, I was advised to go to an Urgent Care facility where they looked at one little area of my rash for 5 seconds and stated it was definitely fungus and gave me Nystatin as treatment. It didn't seem correct so I got in to see a dermatologist. GUESS WHAT? Immediately the dermatologist stated it was definitely NOT fungus and it was most likely pityriasis rosea. Ha! Thank you!!!! Clearly First Derm is VERY reliable and I received this original response in under two hours and for less money! Definitely remembering this for the future..
