Too Bad You Can't download the App :(

2024-11-17

I agree with the last review...ProceedingsMagazine does not allow you to simply pay for a subscription and read it on your iPad. Instead it requires a "User Name" and separate "Password" just for ProceedingsMagazine and it is very confusing to say the least as to what you are buying - an e-mail magazine (which is what it seems to be) or one I can open in iBooks (which is what I want). Sorry guys...this is a work in progress :(

IT!S A TRAP!

2024-11-17

Don't do it! If you paid for the paper subscription, full access, this new APP removes your access to view the digital version unless you buy again through iTunes!

Still needs work.

Much more convenient, yes - and sincere thanks for making this happen.

Hyperlinks go to Safari instead of within app, forcing another log-in.

Scrolling is painful. Pauses to load instead of scrolling one minute... then over-reactive to scrolling input the next.

Recommend a page-turn method, perhaps - very hard to read as is.

I'll add more QA points if I have any.

Not ready for prime time

2024-11-17

Really horrible coordination with the website so that it is impossible to get a user name that works with ProceedingsMagazine .

Needs work

2024-11-17

Won't let me log in using my USNI username and password.

Poor reader app

2024-11-17

I have shifted to reading other magazines and newspapers on Apple's newsstands and stand alone apps. They are seamless and reliable. All easily let me review old issues. Those are my top three priorities and ProceedingsMagazine fails in all three areas. There is some glitch in the database so after I log on, ProceedingsMagazine shows me logged on with an email address I haven't used for three years. I deleted and reloaded ProceedingsMagazine with no improvement in features.

Great redesign!

2024-11-17

USNI is doing a great job keeping up with the times. App is now content-focused on the magazine vs previous cluttered attempt to duplicate the website. Much cleaner and now one of my favorite apps!

Only four stars though, the fifth star will come when I can use it horizontally with my iPad ;)

Needs Work

2024-11-17

I really appreciate the ease with which I can explore the USNI sites with ProceedingsMagazine. However it's incredibly jerky and loads slowly when you open and close ProceedingsMagazine . Fixing this would definitely raise my rating.

Loved it

Great design and user interface!

A Treasure!

Smart design and deep content! Excellent!
