Easy Stats Reviews

It’s great and easy to use. The reason for the 3-star rating is because our club basketball organization has more than one statistician. Each team, we have 5, has 2 each, a primary and secondary. Who keeps stats for a given game is based on availability. It would be nice if EasyStats can be shared by the coach, statisticians and parents of a team.

If parents can have read only access with their own logins so they can always see the stats at their convenience, that would be make this a 5-star app.

Very easy app to use. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that EasyStats should track the score after each quarter or half. In the team flow section it is sort of useless as it does not enable you to see whether the dot was a 1, 2 or 3 pointer.

Please make those two changes and this would be a great app and make me never want to go back to tracking stats manually in my old team stat tracking book.

Love the simplicity and ease of use of EasyStats . Anyone that knows basketball even just a little bit can easily navigate and operate EasyStats . I paid the extra 4.99 To upgrade to PRO but was a tad disappointed when the season summary doesn’t have a per game breakdown of the stats that have been logged, seems like this could be an easy fix and I wish I could sync across devices. Sometimes I am forgetful and forget to bring my iPad and have to use phone to log stats and then re-enter on iPad since that is the primary source of tacking stats and getting the player totals accurate.

Paid for the pro, mainly because I think the +/- is a valuable stat and that overall value isn’t always found in the historical stats. However, having coached youth teams, there are two stats that would be nice to have available: deflections and passes made. I like to have objective numbers as to who is passing and who is a black hole. Also, not every defection results in a steal for that same kid (if at all), but it is nice to know which kids are active with their hands and show game awareness. Would it be possible to set EasyStats up where the user can add wanted stat boxes and then name them whatever they so choose?

Great app! I’ve been using EasyStats for my son’s AAU games for a few weeks now. I’ve compared a lot of stat tracking apps and this has shown to be the most accurate and easily navigated one. If EasyStats could make like two more changes it would be as close to perfect as one could get! Those changes would be (1) to display team and players fouls on the main screen during tracking and (2) make the stats trackable/enterable by quarters or periods. Otherwise, great app!

I do not often comment but after upgrading to the pro account. I felt EasyStats was missing a couple of things that would make it great. I would like the ability to edit the totals from the boxscore screen and a shot chart (I like shot charts). The shot chart may defeat the purpose of EasyStats which is to simplify things, but I am old school. As is, it is easy to use and teach to team managers, but they miss things from shots, steals, blocks assists or whatever. It would be nice to be able to adjust it without searching through the log. Hopefully you can help me out with that. Thank you!

EasyStats is great for high school basketball. Easy to use and stats like +/- & minutes played are stats that can be very helpful, yet very hard to track. EasyStats does that! As someone who is very into the numbers part of basketball, EasyStats is great for breaking down player & team performance

Suggestions

- Track by Quarter/Half
Maybe I am missing this (I don’t think so) but tracking stats like this is huge. Having splits between the 1st & 2nd half would be very helpful

- Combining stats when possible
Ex. On a missed basket, prompt the Reb category without having to click it. On a made FG, prompt an option for an assist. This would keep myself watching the game & not missing any action.

Overall EasyStats is great and I was more than happy to buy the Pro features. Would recommend to others!

I’ve used EasyStats to score basketball games, mostly ones that no one professional would care about. After a run once or twice, I got better, and EasyStats became easier to use. Not perfect, but that’s on me. Also, EasyStats is really easy to use, and, unlike other apps, doesn’t require money to use. I don’t use the Pro version, but from what I think based on the list in EasyStats , it works great, especially if you need two teams. The two tap control works great, and is really easy to use. If I had to make a suggestion, maybe connect the shots and assists? Like tap who made the shot, and then ask who made the assist? I don’t know. Another one is to explain the foul or turnover. Same thing as the assist. One last one is to have a set subs team. Like if you are subbing out the entire team, you can do that by just doing something like that. I don’t know exactly how that would work, but it’s just a suggestion. Overall, I love EasyStats, and would recommend it as a great (possibility the best) free basketball score keeping app. Thank you for the great app!

I enjoy the ease of keeping track of our team's stats. This is not the tool for you if you want to keep detailed stats for both teams, but it is awesome for one team! I like every being able t go back Nd see past seasons. Do yourself a favor and buy the pro version.

Used EasyStats for the first time this past week at a travel ball event for my high school girls. It was extremely easy to figure out and use. It took me about a qtr to get the hang of it and I was off to the races after that. Once the tournament ended, it was great to go back and see ppg and percentages. It would be awesome if EasyStats could also give per game averages for the other key stats like rebounds, assists, blocks etc. With us promoting these girls to colleges, it would make my life easier if I could see that with the click of a button. Also would like an option to select if the games run with qtrs or halves. In these tournaments, some use quarters and some go with halves. It would be nice to be able to switch and then see what the totals of what the team did per qtr. My apologies for all of the suggestions, but I thoroughly fell in love with EasyStats and it will be a big part of our program moving forward! 🏀

I have been using EasyStats for 3 years for my daughter’s AAU and High School teams. Very easy to use and the parents and coaches love getting the emailed stats after every game. The Season Stats feature is awesome! I had tried many others before using Easy Stats but this one worked best and was the easiest to use. I recommend using EasyStats over other stat apps it is really easy to use.

Great app! Wish it was available for my Microsoft Surface. Has been so much easier than keeping stats by hand for my middle school teams. I also wish that when you marked a steal that it would automatically add a turnover to the other team, and that I could break down stats by quarter. I haven’t tried using the play clock. Overall I highly recommend!!

This is a great app to track statistics for your team. One suggestion, would be great if you can just create a new game and inout the scores. There are times I can’t make it to the game and cant create a record of it where I just input the result with no stats. The ability to create a new game, add opponent and go into the box score and enter the final result and save will keep the team’s record up to date.

EasyStats is great at what it does - offer a simple way to track team and individual player stats without over complicating the screen or experience for the user. Love that I can sync between my phone and ipad. With AAU season right around the corner, I would highly recommend this as the solution for someone looking for a simple way to track team stats. A recommended upgrade would be an export to .csv or excel option.

I am the Commissioner of the National Old School Basketball League (R). I have been searching for a simple electronic device/app that would allow me to record scores and stats with minimal drop down features and this is it. I wish EasyStats would allow me to record both teams, but because it is so simple, I am willing to use two iPads. I have practiced with it twice and I am pleased. Continue to work on EasyStats to support schedules and leagues by recording stats for both teams. Great job!! Keep it simple.

I am still in love with EasyStats. Everything it does it is done well. It would be great to have the ability to export the log of a game into some kind of external file to make it easy to transfer a Games stats from one team to another. Or just have some function that allows you to do it with a click of a button. Also if you could edit +- after you type in all the data from a box score. I like the button option but not sure how hard it is to do.

App is good however it would be great to:

1. On the live log screen, it would be great to know player totals, for example, 3 fouls for player x or 6 points for player x during the live game on the main screen.

2. Season stats don't show totals for our team, it would be great if the totals were there just like the game totals. There is an opponent total but not my team’s season total.

3. Have EasyStats resort the players by jersey numbers or player’s last names after substitutions. When using EasyStats to record plays, the player order seems to be randomized (not in any particular order) after substitution. This makes it difficult to quickly assign plays (ie TO, steals, points, assists, etc.) to specific players. Due to the random order, there were many times where I had to undo a play because the incorrect player was selected.

I downloaded EasyStats for my sons basketball team and it was very easy to set up. It only took me a few minutes to get used to it and I am now able to keep stats for every game. Believe it or not, I actually found myself researching the “rules” to determine what constitutes as a valid turn over, assist, steal, etc. It’s been really fun! I do have one question for the developer, though. I am interested in purchasing the Pro version but was hesitant as I was afraid it would wipe out my existing data. Would you be able to confirm I can purchase the one time only upgrade and not impact my existing data? Thank you so much (for everything)!

Just downloaded EasyStats this evening to use for my son's basketball team. Had lots of good reviews and is easy to use. Was able to set it up in a few minutes and use it for most of the game. Capturing plays is quick and easy. One thing I couldn't figure out for a while was how to add stats to the opposing team. I emailed the developer and he responded promptly (which was great!!!). Its pretty easy - the opposing team is the "extra" player on the list after clicking an event (eg rebound).

The main thing that I wish EasyStats allowed would be to link an account across devices (ie a cloud account).

One thing that would also be really cool would be the ability to link EasyStats to a team tracking app like Teamsnap (i.e. provide your app within teamsnap which has team and schedule info and is used by coaches and team parents).

Having done live stats myself, this is very user-friendly and easy to train others to use as I have a student manager that tracks stats for the team. I am a coach and the data helps greatly to analyze with my players on what we're doing well and what we need to work on.

Had an issue in which I contacted EasyStats developer, Zach, and he responded immediately and solved the problem I was having. I strongly encourage teams to use EasyStats as it a very helpful tool!
