So useful!! Only a tad buggy..

I use iCollectEverything regularly to catalogue my large plushie/stuffed animal figure collection. It’s very useful and simple and makes it super easy to quickly take pictures of the item and form an alphabetical list of all of them. You can also sort your collection by color, type, category, pretty much anything! It’s really quite nice if you want to keep track of collectibles you care about. I also love how easy it is to convert a wishlist item to an owned item!
Sadly I’ve run into a few bugs since downloading it almost 3 months ago: I have issues updating information on existing items, such as the retired date. Sometimes the fields will not fill in after saving. Usually a restart fixes it though.
I also recently experienced a bug in which adding/saving new item, instead replaced an old item’s pictures with pictures from the new item, and deleting the new items information causing me to have to type it all in again ><
These bugs do not occur frequently, and actually don’t deter me from using it at least weekly. It beats keeping track of everything on a notepad note! :)

Nice app for cataloging books and everything else you can imagine 🤩

I’m really enjoying iCollectEverything so far for cataloging some current books along with some family books that are a hundred years old. It would be nice if you added something to the wrong category if you could change its category at some point. Also on search it should combine things with the same name so you don’t have to look in several lists to see if your version of an item is listed. I would also like to pick which picture is displayed of an item in case I choose an item listed I might want to keep that picture too but put my picture as the main one to should quality of my item. Those features would make iCollectEverything even better. Still trying to decide if I want to purchase the unlimited everything or just the book section or continuing looking at other apps since I’ll have to pay for what I want. Maybe iCollect will run a price sale on Cyber Monday and that would decide for me 😁

Wonderful...... except

I want to organize by series for some things, but most of it by alphabetical. And luckily there is a way to do this! But... the auto-entry (by barcode) put many of the items into random series categories. And there is no way to CLEAR the series. Once you put it in a series, you can never take it out of a series, only change what series it is in. This is infuriating. I’m in the process of going through all 600 items one at a time and re-adding them, manually, without series. I’ve been at it for 2 hours now and barely scratched the surface. I love iCollectEverything otherwise, but this is abysmal.

Apparently this is only on the movie portion. I just scanned in my books and do not have this problem, I can easily clear the series. Why is it different between mediums??

One other minor point, while I’m here: the images associated? Would it be so hard to have a feature to rearrange which images go first without having to completely start from scratch for each image? That seems like a no-brainer feature that is oddly missing here.

Very bad experience

I got iCollectEverything assuming it was like the other iCollect apps. I reach my 75 movie limit and it says to purchase. I hesitate a few times and a window pops up and says I can purchase iCollectEverything for $5.99 and that was the only offer. I purchase iCollectEverything . Doesn’t allow me to continue adding movies to my collection. I send a email and a message through FB. I get 2 emails back a week and a half later asking me for my email associated with iCollectEverything and they’ll fix it on there side. I provide. It’s been a week and a half and I haven’t gotten a response yet. I’ve sent 2 more emails with no response. Now it won’t even connect to show anything with an error message showing. I feel this is a great app idea if the developers were more on top of handling there business. Guess I’m going somewhere else for another app.

Movies and Funko

I currently use iCollectEverything to keep track of my Funko Pop collection and my movie collection where as it’s great for movies there are some issues with funko pops you can choose what franchise the pop is from then there are multiple of the same type of franchise or there is nothing. For example there is marvel universe, the avengers, and guardians of the galaxy. Which is nice but also kind of confusing because if the pop is already in the system it might not end up where the rest of the pops from the same category are some might be under The Avengers some might be under Marvel Universe. Then I tried to scan a Power Rangers pop and they don’t even have that as a franchise. Or I scan my funko pop pez and that’s not an option I just have to choose other. It is a great way to store collections and the wish list is amazing too to help keep track of what you want.

Their service is a big disappointment

I would never recommend using iCollectEverything I’ asked them how I can get it from my iPhone to my iPad too and they told me how to do it, so I did it it and lost 600 of my movies that I took the time to put in and after I contacted them again about it they took forever to answer me and when they did they told me what to do and that wasn’t working either and they have not answered any of my emails back regarding this issue.
I have 62 movies showing in my queue and I am supposed to have over 600 films put in there by me and I paid for this.
Their service is awful.
Unhappy customer.

It works great, but it could be better

It is useful in keeping track of my belongings, whether I can scan it with a barcode or not. I appreciate the amount of options and ways of cataloging it has, but it does leave things out aspects (ex. there is no third person omniscient narrative setting in the book category) while other times you can only select one detail (ex. the codec and resolution in the movie category). There are also things like the country of purchase; I’m not sure if it refers to the country that I am in when I bought the item or the country that it was shipped from. I would like some changes, which the team does listen to. This is not a bad app, it is good for cataloging and I like the options and choices it has. I would like more guidance on how to detail my belongings and more sections on labeling.

Almost Perfect

First let me say that I love what iCollectEverything offers. I use it to keep track of my PC games and being able to take pics of the items is a big deal for me. I was up to about 800 items when I finally decided to log in with an account. I started noticing that the images I had taken of my own items were being replaced with other images. It seems the images you attach to an item are not stored locally in iCollectEverything but on a central server. If someone else uploads an image for the same item it replaces your own?? I’m not positive but it seems like that was the case. Also at one point it deleted my collection and it had been a while since I exported so I lost a few hundred entries. That may have been when I noticed the wrong pictures. If they made it so it stores the images locally or saves them in your own account I would rate this 5 stars.

Disappointed

I downloaded this because it said it was free to use. I then noticed that it says “in-app purchases” and thought these were optional. I was moving along, putting video games into the collection, got to 20 and was promoted to pay $10 to keep adding video games. I wasn’t sure what this was all about, since I thought it was free, and went to the reviews. In the reviews, the developers said several times that it was free until you hit a “very high” count. 20 video games across multiple consoles isn’t a lot. I’m very upset. I reread through the detailed app description and saw that it said that I would have to pay a separate fee for each collection that I have, of which I have many (coins, books, movies, video games, board games, and more—some of which number in the hundreds or even thousands) and was looking forward to using iCollectEverything to keep them all sorted, but it’s way too expensive to pay $10 per collection. I rather make excel spreadsheets or Access databases for them. So, long story short, I’m very disappointed.

Missing items

I bought the book app for 9.99 after I reached my limit and have close to 1,000 books and thought this would be a good way to keep track of all the books I get in on a regular bases. I scanned in 800 books and 550 of my books are missing now 250 is all it is showing that I have scanned in now. I also bought the he movie app for 9.99 and scanned in over 200 movies and now it’s saying that I have no movies on my movie app. I feel like this was a waste of money and am very disappointed that iCollectEverything didn’t work out as well as it could have. It seems like my stuff ends up with missing items after an update and I can’t find them anywhere on iCollectEverything . I am glad we didn’t buy the comic part of iCollectEverything like we were going to. I just want to warn others before they end up paying for something they can’t even use properly.

It does what I need, BUT…

The process for inputting your titles is REALLY annoying and beyond inefficient. The way I’m doing it, which I assume is how it’s supposed to be done, is to tap the “+” on the upper right corner and then to tap the barcode option at the bottom. Having to move with your thumb from top to bottom (and on a large screen phone), is really taxing ESPECIALLY since (and here’s the second annoying aspect) there’s no obvious batch inputting. You literally have to go through that whole process I just did laid out for EACH entry. Why isn’t there a way to just take barcode pics one after another instead of leaving the screen and starting all over. That’s the inefficiency I was talking about. And considering that (presumably) the majority of users have HUNDREDS of movies to enter, that’s going to be a LONG day!!

Seemed like a good idea, but...........

I had the same thing happen as an earlier reviewer. I hit the 75 item limit and was prompted to pay for the unlimited version. After being offered the $5.99 discounted price I took it. Then nothing. iCollectEverything didn’t update to the better version. If the charge appears and I get nothing there’s problems.
Update: It’s now 11 days past my original review. The developers haven’t responded to the review as they have others. The charge was posted by Apple yesterday and my app still hasn’t updated to what I’ve now been charged for. Message has been sent to developers to fix this. Downgraded to zero stars until they address this.
Update 2: The developers responded, iCollectEverything is now fully functional. Will update again as I use it in full. The very quick response to my email has moved it up to 3 stars.

Deceptive purchase process

Be careful when making a purchase in iCollectEverything! They charge to unlock each type of media, but iCollectEverything didn’t make that clear when I paid $9.99 to unlock what I thought would be the full app, not just DVDs. I then needed to unlock CDs separately, which would have been an additional $9.99. They and Apple also don’t offer refunds in these cases, so make sure you’re ok with their charges before buying. iCollectEverything also has different limits for each type of media, and you don’t know what they are until you hit them, so you could waste a lot of time scanning items and then realize you need to pay to scan the rest. iCollectEverything also doesn’t recognize a lot of barcodes, so you need to enter the items manually in those cases, and their internal search engine doesn’t always find the correct match, so you need to vary your search by either I’m using the artist name or album title separately.

Too many bugs

This could be a very good & useful app, but it has too many bugs:
1) I scanned the barcode of a book & it brought up a totally different one.
2) After scanning a book’s barcode, which provided an image, I exited app. Upon getting back in app a couple days later, the image was of some weird robot poster or something. This is a bit disconcerting!!
3) After scanning a book’s barcode, which provided an image, I exited app. Upon getting back in app later, the image was gone. I went to edit the book’s info and was just going to leave the image blank, but it wasn’t allowing me to exit without having a picture, so I had to take a picture of a pillow.
4) I’ve been trying to delete an image for one of my books and replace it with another, and it will not allow me! It just continues to show the original image, although it does let me add images.

And some things that need to be changed:
1) An image should not be required!
2) One should be able to sort each collection individually, rather than when changing the sort in one collection, it changes the sort in every collection.
3) it’s a little strange that images disappear or are completely changed! There is something wrong with that. Im a little hesitant to even havw iCollectEverything on my phone anymore.

Cloud based app that just doesn’t work

I purchased iCollectEverything in late December and proceeded to create a movie list. All was well after I had spent many hours creating a list of 269 movies. A few days later I tried to change some of the entries and things started to not work. Eventually my entire movie list just disappeared and I couldn’t get it back. The answer that the help desk gave me was that their servers had been infected by a very severe virus and they had no idea when or even if they could restore user accounts and their lists. iCollectEverything seems to be storing every list you create on their servers, not locally on your iPad or iPhone. This makes the security of your data dependent on whatever security or lack of security they are using on their servers. I would suggest that you only use iCollectEverything for very short lists and for lists that don’t make much difference to you if the lists just disappear.

Great Customer Support

This is by far my favorite collection app. It has the ability to log everything - my movies, books, music, games… and I love the fact that I can customize all of the information that it displays.

Customer support here is also incredible. A glitch with a recent update and my own user error caused me to lose all of the data that I had meticulously entered - almost 1,500 titles. Within 48 hours, they had retrieved my information and made sure that everything was working properly.

I’m so happy with iCollectEverything and the support team behind it!

Almost Perfect

I use this to organize a trading card collection, and by far this is the best app I’ve tried. Up front, I really appreciate that they offer a one-time purchase to expand your collection entries rather than a subscription model. I wouldn’t even have downloaded it if that were their model.

The layout is very easy to understand and intuitive with many options. However there are one or two “bugs” that bother me, it I’m sure will be fixed soon.

The first is that sometimes it can take a while for your collection to load. Maybe I just don’t have an option switched on but it’s like iCollectEverything has to download your collection pics all over again rather than saving them in a cache for near instant loading.

The second is that sometimes it will load the wrong pic. Again, I use this to keep up with a trading card collection, and sometimes card #15 will show the picture of card #5. The only way to fix this is to close iCollectEverything and reopen. But it happens often.

But again, I’m sure these will be ironed out soon.

Comic Tracker

Great tool for cataloging your comics. Especially if you have quite the collection. One time fee versus a monthly or yearly subscription like others. Syncs across all your iOS devices which is helpful. Only drawback is the ability to share a collection with other like CLZ. Data does not populate after scanning barcode nor does the information such as writer, artist, etc., which is painful to manually enter if you like to curate your comics like I do. Overall this is a solid app to have with room to improve. I would recommend using iCollectEverything. iCollectEverything developers seem to update quarterly. Would like to see more frequent updates to ensure content runs more smoothly.

Try Book Crawler instead

I used to have a sort it app for my movies. iCollectEverything was never updated, and other apps were made to replace it, for a charge. I received an email from the creator of iCollect stating that iCollectEverything would be free for a select group, for a select time. I thought that meant if we downloaded it now, we would be grandfathered in at no charge. Nope. It is for a free month trial AND after that it is $4.99 A MONTH. First of all, that’s a dirty trick. Second of all, a month? It should be a one time fee, AND since we are “valued customers” replacing old apps we bought, we should at least get a discount.

I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews about keep track of books. I purchased the Book Crawler app years ago for $1.99 (one time fee), and I haven’t bought a double book since. So if you are just needing to organize your books by author, genre, sub genre, series etc, save yourself some money.

There is room for improvement.

It’s a fantastic app for all your collection needs. I use it for my movie collection and everything is stored neatly and being able to edit the tables and cells is helpful.

Because images are stored locally, there needs to be an option for more than 4 pictures. And they should be stored at higher resolution. Also, I don’t understand why I can’t scroll through the pictures of my item using the enlarged view. These things seem very easy to implement. There should also be an option to create multiple lists for say a series of DVDs by publisher or distributor or at least a filter system to filter by those.

A very VERSATILE and USEFUL app!

iCollectEverything has proven itself to be absolutely FANTASTIC! Out of all the apps I’ve tried (and paid for), this is the first one that offers 30 (yes, I said THIRTY!) different pre-installed collection types while also giving you the option of CREATING YOUR OWN if yours isn’t listed and the best part is that you can inventory MULTIPLE collection types all within this ONE APP! I have inventoried HUNDREDS of items in multiple categories over the past 6 months with no issues or data loss whatsoever. Plus, there are NO ANNOYING POP-UP ADS and NO RECURRING MONTHLY FEES either! I love iCollectEverything, and you will too!!

Worked great til I paid for it

I was using iCollectEverything to catalog my Blu Ray collection. Once I had hit 75 titles iCollectEverything sent out a promp that it would take 9.99 to continue with unlimited access to cataloging my titles. I paid and added another 300 titles over the next couple of months. Then the other day when I needed it most to check on a title, it crashed and deleted all of my info from iCollectEverything . Basically just a blank white screen (the alphabet that is normally to the right is gone as well). I did what the FAQ said to do which is power it down and back up but got the same results. It won’t even let me add a title. I informed tech support but have not gotten a reply. I enjoyed iCollectEverything and if it was free I would just delete it from my phone by I paid 9.99 for it and spent hours cataloging titles so I wanted to put it out there for anyone else that may be having the same issue

By

Needs a little work

iCollectEverything is not bad, and is one of the few apps that can be set up for a customized collection and it doesn’t box you into specific configurations. A couple of things that need improvement: there is a non-currency numeric field but it only allows you have one per record and it cannot accept “0” as a number value. It needs to have a setting to not require images, especially in the wish list. The export needs to allow a full database backup, not just a CSV file. The backup needs to go to a dropbox/google drive type service and be restorable to iCollectEverything . Auto backups would be even better. This is in case something happens and the Cloud service copy of the database is not right either.

By

Update

I would like to give iCollectEverything a five stars because it doesn’t allow you to login like your information on movies or whatever you used that relate so it transfers over everything you have done and also fix in movies achievements because I was supposed to have the achievements of Facebook Twitter social never got it but other then that I’m really happy for the two app one thing I would like to have one or the other is a way to move the studios where you want them and move the movies you want them hopefully this makes sense also update that you can have unlimited amount until you unlocked everything except the mystery

By

I would give 0 stars if that were an option.

I downloaded and paid for the upgrade in their original app. After that app shut down with no warning or communication, I downloaded their new version, iCollect. I was informed that my purchase in the prior version will not be allowed to transfer to the new version. So again, I paid. I added close to 2,000 DVDs. All of a sudden, my entire collection is gone, due to complete incompetence and negligence on their part -- they didn't back anything up. Their solution is to re-add everything. Obviously I'm not going to waste my time. I've emailed customer service 4 or 5 times and keep getting a form response. I just want my money back so I can get an app that actually works and maybe, just maybe, an actual customer service department. This is horrible. Beware.

Excellent

I’ve been using iCollectEverything for about a week now and I’m really impressed by how many options and settings and features it has. I have used other collecting apps, but they were each individual and this one has everything in one place. Plus others don’t have half the options. I was able to delete six other apps I was using because the one replaced them all. Also has great customer support, they emailed me back immediatly after I sent in a question. Thank you!!

My entire collection was lost!

I was excited about iCollectEverything and used it to keep track of my crystals. I have a lot of them so it was important that I have a reliable way to identify them all. At first iCollectEverything would duplicate the same pictures with the wrong stones. I emailed the company and got a quick response saying they would make sure the problem was fixed, and it was. Then one day I go into iCollectEverything and find my entire collection gone. My crystals were gone and so were my movies I had added. I repeatedly emailed them with no response. I found under faq section that said to delete and reinstall iCollectEverything , so I did. Nothing has help fix the problem and I am now looking for a new app so I can keep my collections safe.

David   1 year ago

I would say this is one of the best programs out but the only problem is updating the website never happened so I’m stuck putting entries by hand please update the website thanks p.s. the app for windows is taking forever but I’m being patient

Stacy   3 years ago

ZERO STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!! The update lost all of my data and I'll just say that this is NOT the first time this has happened. I contacted them and received a response. Then all communication from them stopped. They supposedly "fixed" my account. They did not. They uploaded someone else's account data to mine and they were never heard from again. I have emailed them approximately 9 times and radio silence. If your movie collection starts with 101 Dalmatians, let me know. I have your data.
