I’ve never written a review before, let alone a negative one but PBSC is beyond frustrating.

Today I stood next to the kiosk trying to unlock a bike for 30 MINUTES. I’ve had PBSC for about a year and my credit card, password, etc. have all worked in the past, but PBSC takes soooo long. Normally it takes me about 15 minutes to unlock a bike. There is at least a 15 second delay every time you click something, and after you put in your password you have to wait at least a minute before the screen changes. PBSC is completely unusable.

Please, PLEASE do something to fix the glitching!!

Bought the membership so I could ride on vacation.

Downloaded PBSC .

Opened PBSC and went to unlock now: but when I go to the kiosk, it says I don’t have an active membership, which is incorrect as I have one.

Wasting my time and wanting me to buy a new pass, which I may have to do as I’m in a rush. Unprofessional, and help lines are all busy, probably from others complaining about PBSC not working

Terrible update that manages to strip out anything useful while adding features nobody will use. The previous version stored my frequently visited stations in a convenient list format, arraying bike and dock availability in an easily accessible fashion. The new version eliminates lists and favorites, instead using location services for everything, so checking on stations that are not currently nearby requires zooming and dragging, similar to the experience on the Divvy website. A third of PBSC 's new functionality is now devoted to fitness tracking, which suggests the developers somehow missed the point of bike share completely. The search function is worthless, a search on "Morgan" to find the dock at Morgan and Lake in Chicago offers up locations in West Virginia and Louisiana. Did anyone actually test this before deploying it?

Update: I deleted PBSC as soon as I found the free Chicago Bike app, which does lists and favorites, though it does not allow for a sorting of the latter. Divvy would be well served to disassociate themselves from this POS and find a new app to sponsor. If you haven't updated, DO NOT DO SO.

This was such a great program. I loved being able to ride to work and not have to ride home in 100+ degree weather. PBSC has become so glitchy and unreliable that it’s no longer usable. 3 out of the last 4 times that I tried to unlock a bike, PBSC would not work properly leading me to be late for work and other appointments. I close and reopen it. I delete and reinstall it. None of the things customer service tells me do work. :(
I hope that they can fix PBSC so the system is usable again.

We tried using PBSC to unlock bikes that are part of Tucson’s bike program, but PBSC does not work.

Wouldn’t allow me to enter the expiration date on my credit card. Very disappointing.

This is by far the worst and glitchiest app I’ve ever used. It is completely unusable, the kiosks by the bikes are more useful than PBSC.

It doesn’t allow me to change location to Toronto, ON Canadá. It shows me I am in Cryprus/Turkey. Not sure how PBSC has been made. Ideally it should pick my geolocation. Useless for me. Not sure how it works for other people.

I tried multiple times to sign up, but never succeeded. I provided full and correct information, and I every time I get the same message “invalide information in the form…”

PBSC suddenly hang (occurred multiple times in just two hours) and only works again when restart. This is unacceptable for a real time app people rely on.

Seriously don’t understand why the forced shift to PBSC. I tried to use it twice already and it barely works. The bike system worked fine before, not sure why you have to try to innovate your way out of nothing

I’m just confused. Who builds an app and doesn’t test it before releasing it? Biki is such a convenient way to get around the city but PBSC does not allow you to purchase a plan. It sends you in an endless loop requesting your password and doesn’t allow you to select a response from the drop downs.

Trying to create a new account requires a credit card but the form keeps giving an error that the form is missing information when it’s completely filled out

Trying to use PBSC unlocking bikes is a exercise in frustration. You have to quit PBSC each time sometimes multiple times and re-launch it. If you accidentally leave it running in the background God help your battery life. This is one of the worst build apps I have to use.

Tried to sign up to rent a bike for the day, but PBSC would not let me enter my information correctly. Specifically, the scroll wheel to select the month for my credit card kept defaulting back to one and as a result it was invalid with my actual credit card expiration date

I would love to use TUGO in Tucson, but when putting in my credit card information it only allowed credit card month expirations of Oct, Nov, Dec. mine is July. I couldn’t ride the bike because of bugs in the software

In the old version my frequently visited stations appeared in a nice favorites list. No longer.

The stations used to appear on the map without having to search specifically for them. No longer. Now my map is just blank. No icons of any kind appear even when I do search for a station. How are you not going to drop a pin or marker on the map to indicate stations?

PBSC is now pure garbage. Will be looking for an alternative.

This is the most pathetic app update ever. I swear no one even checked it. It's so impossible I'll have to delete it and email divvy to tell them to make their own app and drop this terrible app company.
1- try searching for a dock- type in Dearborn to find one of the million docks on Dearborn st and all you get is Dearborn Michigan. State st or anything else in Chicago? Same result. Crap. It only shows docks around you which isn't helpful since you are going to ride to a different location! Brilliant.
2- bugs, the map sometimes doesn't load dock locations and they got rid of the refresh button so you have to completely kill PBSC and try again.
3- most of PBSC is now fitness tracking, seriously?!?
4- you can save favorite docks to use often, like say your daily commute to ensure a dock is available? Why would you delete that from the last version to this crappy new one.

Seriously divvy make your own app please. Don't bother downloading people. And whoever makes this junk, try testing and asking for feedback from users. Oh right, you don't even have a feedback link within your app!!

At least in the previous version, I could scan a map of the city to find station nearby and at my destination in order to plan my route in the hopes a station want full. The only thing PBSC is useful for now, is finding a station nearby. There are a bunch of useless features now added to the newest version. No one is trying to monitor their exercise on a Divvy bike! I had high hopes. Unfortunately, derailed... I don't get how developers could be so oblivious to the needs of PBSC.

Agreed with all of the other frustrated commenters on the latest update. I used to use PBSC everyday to find a bike but PBSC makes this core user workflow a total pain (I still don't know how to find the number of bikes available at my nearby station). I hope there's another solution for divvy tracking, this one just lost me.

This new app is terrible. I've been riding Divvy bikes and using the old app from the beginning but I now have absolutely no idea how many bikes are available around me or where to go for an available dock. The new app replaces an instantly readable map for some stupid software that tells me where to walk. Delete this abomination and restore the old version. I also hate the new icon.

What Happened to the map that showed all nearby stations and availability? It was originally quick and convenient when I pulled over roadside. I can't see the primary information I need with PBSC. The bubble map was such more informative in the previous version. Not going to renew my membership this year because of this. I don't want a ton of overage fees because PBSC will be of no use.

I don't know if it is PBSC 's fault or the divvy system maybe only lets them query the API at a low frequency of what, but the data is NOT accurate. Just been to a station that said 9 available and there was 1. And a station that said 4 available and there were 5.

PBSC has potential, but it's held back by a few issues. PBSC should start in the map view, as most users will want to see that immediately and those who prefer a list can still access it with one tap. It should also immediately orient the map based on the current location. The bike/dock counts should automatically reload when switching back to PBSC . Speaking of reloading, a reload button should not wobble.

Nice app. Timer in a good place. But 15 min option too short and 30 min option too long. Would like to quick select 25 mins so I can start looking for a dock before 30 mins is up (and when the extra charges occur). I've seen that on other bike share apps.

This version fixes the crashes from earlier version. Needs to refresh the cycle / dock count. I've forgotten to but refresh and have relied on counts from previous day, only to find that there were no bikes.

I used to love Cyclefinder and used it all the time to find stations, bikes and docks. PBSC only says there are no bikes or docks available even though I live within 100 yards of a station and can see them from my window. In short, it just doesn't work. Unfortunately my phone automatically updated PBSC so I guess I'm stuck with it. So please make it work again.

UPDATE: As of today it now shows stations, bikes and docks. Thanks for responding!!

The old app worked just fine. The new one looks nice. I'm in Chicago and none of the stations show up in the map. It's pretty useless until that's fixed.

Update: Works great now. All the stations show up on the map. 5 stars.

PBSC accurately displays the number of slots in real time accurately and promptly. It is on my homepage because I am an avid biker all around a large metropolitan city using Divvy bike sharing. I highly recommend it if you're a biker and concerned there is a shortage of bikes or spaces!

If you want to bike share you definitely need this smartphone app with gps and current info to tell you where the bikes are, how many there are, where you can park them, etc. This is a pretty good one. Like those parking lot and parking meter apps but without the money, cars, fumes and traffic.

This is such a great app to use with Divvy in Chicago! I love that you can toggle between bikes and open racks easily, and that it shows a heat map of sorts to tell you if a station is getting full or nearly empty. The timer is well placed in a gray box, overlaying the map. Easy to keep track of time and refresh your intended station's availability quickly! 5 stars and thanks for supporting Divvy!
