How can you use this Ap with an IPad as suggested by Uniden. I cannot access my wifi because I cannot get passed the set up when asked to enter the DID number. The monitor has a UID number that does not work in the DID box. I have a Uniden UDR 744 system and they have not explained on- line how to down load Aps to an I-phone or I-Pad. To me this product was falsely advertised.

I purchased 12 sets of the G955 a couple years ago for my business. All cameras are within 20 feet of the monitors and worked very adequately until the Uniden Guardian 2 APP was upgraded on Jan 9, 2018.

Upon APP upgrading, most of the time I am only able to access camera #1 remotely and I receive a Flashing Low Internet Icon when trying to access cameras 2,3,4 (some 2,3,4 cameras are within 5 feet of the monitor) and then back to camera #1. Therefore, 3 cameras are remotely useless.

UnidenGuardian2 of Jan 9, 2018 has rendered my good faith purchase of Uniden G955 security camera systems virtually worthless.

FYI: I found an extinct iPhone 4+ with the pre-January 9, 2018 APP installed and then my system was back to previously normal on that phone which I do not use.

How do I get the the pre Jan 9, 2018 Guardian 2 APP back on my IPhone 5 and other business IPhones for security monitoring.

TO UNIDEN: Simple solution. Make the pre Jan 9, 2018 APP available on the search APP menu again to your complaining users until you get the Jan 9, 2018 fixed or revised!

OR: Was this upgrade designed to degrade the performance of the G955 security systems to make this system obsolete to users?

Please make sure that the monitor of the base is being use for "Internet" and not for "charging" the base. If it's just for charging you will not be able to view it remotely. Change your setting to Internet browse.
Not sure why the base setting was only being use for charging. I never recalled changing the setting but that's what happen to be the reason why all this time it didn't work for 6 months. Problem solved!

I usually don’t write reviews, but OMG, UnidenGuardian2 is horrible. Half the point of having a connected camera system is to view the cameras remotely. UnidenGuardian2, and all versions of the Guardian apps before it have been so bad they’re totally unusable. I can’t imagine a modern company the size of Uniden not investing more resources in app development. Putting a product out that’s this bad is inexcusable, especially when there are so many smaller companies that have zero issues making video surveillance apps that work.

The cameras are decent, but the rest of the system is complete garbage.

This update did it for me. Works better then ever. All cameras work. All features now work such as the camera button and record button. Videos now playback at the correct speed every time. Cameras connect every time. When using the back arrow you can now connect to the cameras again. Thanks for the update.

Purchased G755 system at Costco several years ago. Uniden was slow to upgrade UnidenGuardian2 to support 64 bit required after iOS11 but it’s working again now albeit glitchy. I’ve installed Samsung smartcams @ 1080p res & was just about to remove these old low res cams but I’ll keep them in place as long as they keep working.
The g755 camera system is woefully outdated but better than nothing until I can afford more HD security cameras.

I have the cameras set up in/around my house but when I try to use UnidenGuardian2 to view them I am only able to see one camera. When I try to select Camera 2-4 it always pulls up Camera 1. No matter how many times I’ve tried reconnecting it this is a continuous problem.

Got these cameras to protect my property after someone threatened to hurt my animals and my child and now I can’t even see what’s going on remotely...thought that was the point of UnidenGuardian2 . Guess I was wrong.

Be prepared to look at only one camera. I’m not a happy camper.

I currently have 4 of the G955 Uniden cameras/system that I was very satisfied with until I upgraded my app on June 26, 2018. Since the upgrade I can only view one camera because it now states that the signal is too low on the other cameras to view. Never had that problem before. Where I can I find the last version I had before I upgraded? I thought I would be optimizing my system by upgrading but it turned out to be a huge mistake. I would appreciate some support Uniden.

I've had very few problems over the two years I've been using UnidenGuardian2. However, as others have said, it would be nice to have audio. Also UnidenGuardian2 must be updated to continue to work with Apple devices. If I have to buy a new system to have remote viewing due to lack of customer support I won't consider Uniden.

I'm not the biggest fan of UnidenGuardian2. It is not user friendly, the icons to move from live to saved recordings or other settings are not conveniently located. They should be laid out better, maybe all command icons on same page, etc.
I also lose picture frequently even though I am only 15 feet away from the source.

I spent about $300 on this terrible system and then another $150 to have it installed. The main base station is obtuse to use, the English translations are poor and the product only works intermittently. Even when I get the components working UnidenGuardian2 refuses to show the video from the cameras even though it’s show a status of “connected”. Huge waste of money - stay away from this product.

My 4 cameras are finally working more consistently. Suggest on-screen swiping from camera to camera and audio would keep me from looking for upgrade elsewhere. Also better sorting options of recorded video like seamless playback would be a great improvement.

The ONLY place UnidenGuardian2 works is from inside my house, which is also the ONLY place I don't need UnidenGuardian2 . It will not connect at any other location, which makes remote viewing pointless. I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling but no change. Not even with the update. Everything works great when I'm home but when I want to monitor my house from afar, it will not connect! Very frustrating!!! I too wish I hadn't bought these cameras!!

The cameras work great but due to obsolescence it’s heading to the city dump. Uniden could care less about actually doing required updates and keeping customers happy, but to insist you keep upgrading to a while new camera system. I will never give them my business again and definitely won’t recommend to others. I’m tired of buying new equipment every 4 years.

Installed on 2 iPhone and an iPad without problems.I am using the original camera system not the second version.

I have had my cameras for years and they worked perfectly with the older app. Once I updated it I cannot pick up certain cameras. My computer picks them up so UnidenGuardian2 is the problem. FIX IT!!!

I have 2 systems. I cannot connect remotely to them. They worked fine for a year and half. Email customer support through their website and they will make a worthless suggestion and close your ticket immediately. Absolute worst customer service I have experienced.

Wouldn't connect but had to completely restart the thingy.

Works great for remote viewing to see if any riffraff is at the door

My iPhone says it needs updating because it is draining the battery.

App has not been updated in a long time. Works well otherwise.
