My system is an iPad Pro with 128meg ram and over 70meg free. Unable to keep more than 3 magazines in ModelAviation . Takes 20mns to download a magazine on a 10meg/sec connection. When downloading you must scroll through all pages to force download. Contacted AMA for resolution who put me in touch with GTExcell the contractor. Gtexcel had me delete and reload ModelAviation with no resolution. GT said they would investigate with no further contact from GT. Contacted GT numerous times via email with zero response from Gt.
A better solution is to download the magazine on your computer from the Model Aviation website and convert to ePub format with Calibre then load to iPad via iBooks. GTExcel is a poor vendor at best and does not deserve your support.

I travel a lot and like to download the issues to read on the plane. ModelAviation is the worst I have encountered, it’s virtually impossible to use. Downloads take forever and then fail. Issues that were downloaded then suddenly disappear. This has been going on for years, it’s time MA moves into the 21st century and finds an app developer who actually knows what they are doing.

This application is a joke! I sware I have never used anything more unstable then this heap of garbage. I hope Model Aviation (AMA) got this application donated. I am an AMA member and asked for the printed copy of the magazine, never got it for the last 2 years! I'm unable to load anything on ModelAviation and don't get the printed copy. So what am I paying $85 a year for? Apparently nothing. Save your money and buy another plane.

Before I was unable to download anything to view offline. Now I cannot even read an issue online. I have complained numerous times and they always try to blame it on a user error. They refuse to believe there is anything wrong with ModelAviation despite a growing list of awful reviews that all describe similar problems. This is pathetic.

ModelAviation has had some issues but seems ro be working much better.

I agree with GeoStork, this horrible app continually fails to download the entire magazine leaving me with a worthless magazine I can't read offline. Just use a DRM version of pdf with my iTunes account for crying out loud!

As others have noted, you cannot successfully download issues anymore. I know money's tight, how much would it cost to do ModelAviation up right? Find a new developer and I'll kick in some money towards replacing it.

After months of complaining to the AMA about this application nothing has been done. AMA needs to DROP this developer and move on as it’s a huge black-eye for a great organization. Issues won’t download.

For some reason ModelAviation doesn't completely download the content therefore it is impossible to read offline. Frequent crashes. Please improve ModelAviation!!

The magazine will not download so can’t read offline, this used to work now does not. A pity as I enjoy the magazine but ModelAviation needs work

Need to unload and reload just to get it to work. Most of the time you can read on line, but not off line.

Please dump this and provide the digital magazine as a pdf. ModelAviation is completely useless offline. AMA simply must do better.

ModelAviation crashes before even opening. Whoa.

This magazine has done a pretty good job of transferring over to digital form. It has some enhancements over the print version such as video which is great. I hope to see this digital version improve over time. The text could be a bit sharper for Retina devices and hopefully that will be a future enhancement.

I don't mind paying for the digital version as it does help support the AMA's goals by supporting this new format that will be standard for many magazines in the future. Also, it is not 100% the same as the print version since they have added enhancements as noted above. One thing people fail to mention when complaining is this digital version is completely devoid of advertisements. It contains nothing more than content related to model airplanes and the AMA. This is probably why the AMA says it would actually be more expensive to simply allow people to switch from print to digital with no price increase. Those ads that choke the print version subsidize the cost of the magazine. My hope is that by supporting this format now a free (or much cheaper) version of the digital magazine could become and option in the future.

This is a very good app for Me. Most of the time I don't get a chance to sit down and read the whole magazine, but this way I can. Thank You for a job well done. F. Davis

Hi. Big fan of AMA, and a member. One problem with magazine, I paid for a years subscription back in September 2012. It's now October, and I haven't been able to read any issue. Is there a time period when I start getting it? Or is something wrong? I don't mean to be rude or cross, but I either want my money back or my 12 issues to start coming.

I was impressed that the AMA got a digital magazine out that actually exceeds the capability of Model Airplane News, but reading it only reminded me that you can't put lipstick on a pig and expect it to be better.

What is wrong with you AMA? You already get money for a membership and now you want to charge $19 more. Talk about low class! LOL! Get a clue and do what is right. Charge the folks who don't pay for a membership and let the members have the digital version included with the membership dues. Greedy, greedy, greedy! One star for you!

If you already subscribe you shouldn't have to pay twice

I like the digital version but when trying to zoom on pages/ads it will not stay zoomed in. Please update.
