When I first set up my Netatmo weather station I was very pleased. I would update temperature, humidity, etc. even 12 minutes. I was impressed enough that I bought an additional indoor module and then a second one. I also added the rain and wind (anemometer). It the last year or so I have repeated periods when I get no updates from the weather station. It can go for over an hour, even 2 hours. I do not find it useful to know what them temperature was over an hour ago. In the summer I want to know in the evenings when it has cooled down enough that I can open my windows. Conveniently that seems to be when I get no updates. The standard answer from tech support is that there is a sever issue and they are working on it. I cannot recommend this product.

We have a Netatmo indoor station, an outdoor thermometer, and a rain gauge. Outdoor Thermometer constantly loses connection even though we follow the directions for connectivity and placement. We change batteries each time it disconnects, but it still disconnects frequently. The directions are not clear with instructions stating to go to settings and follow directions on box???? Who has the box handy. We need online directions that are logical. The outdoor thermometer will not connect now no matter where we place it. Flashes green light. If only I had the box, maybe I could figure it out. The rain gauge clogs with leaves and pine needles. Does not read any rain whatsoever eleven when we bring it indoors, clean it out, and run tap water through it. No directions available on battery replacement procedure. Again, online manual says, follow directions on box. Ridiculous...

Notifications appear again, for the most part. The alert badge on NetatmoWeather icon does not yet work. (Yes, I have notifications set to add the badge and have toggled it off and on and still nothing).

Old review, but still true...
The temperatures are highly inaccurate. It was in the low 80's yet they listed the "Feels Like" temperature at 117. The temperatures on all units are off by about 2-2.7 degrees. Still no way to initiate an immediate reading from NetatmoWeather . You must rely on old data or physically access the base station to request a reading. The additional units lack in functionality. I thought they included decibel meters but they are only inaccurate thermometers and supposedly measure CO2 levels. Those are also insanely inaccurate. Their support department takes about a week to respond and doesn't actually help you with the issue. I'd avoid NetatmoWeather unless you are only wanting inaccurate temperature readings. The other information is ridiculously inaccurate or just completely fabricated. I hate my Netatmo paperweights.

Get my station today set everything up nothing works. Changed batteries on all mods deleted and reinstalled get to work for 1 minute then goes offline. Settings show good signal strength all around but rain and outside sensor not transmitting info. How does this company not have a phone number to call or troubleshooting and or customer service? Very disappointed sent email hopefully I will update this with good news after I hear back from them.

Update. I was able to get my system online although I had to essentially put the outdoor station next to the window where the indoor station is. Customer service is the only reason I am giving them 3 stars. I’ve asked several follow up questions.m 6 hours ago and haven’t received a response. CS phone line is a must in today’s digital world.

I’ve had my device for many years and happy with it and NetatmoWeather iterations as well. I was just using the updated app earlier today to add some custom notifications. Five hours later and the device lost its network connection, which hasn’t happened since a planned power outage about 2 weeks ago. Following the new app directions to set the wifi and I keep getting prompted to select an accessory from an empty list. NetatmoWeather doesn’t allow me to set the wifi. Now I have a paper weight. Can vendors please make sure to thoroughly test apps before releasing them?

NetatmoWeather and the associated smart weather station with rain gauge is a great product once you get it installed. The user manual is pretty good, but it wasn't clear to me that you need to reinsert the batteries of all accessories immediately before trying to link them to the indoor base module and that that linkage must take place while the two devices are close enough together to almost be touching. If the green LED is not flashing at the precise moment you begin pairing, the operation will fail. Very delicate process.

We use Netatmo to keep track of indoor and outdoor conditions at our remote weekend Cabin in the Woods. We are able to use the Cabin year round without extensive winterization/shutdown by being able to monitor indoor temperature and humidity. We can take action when needed to avoid frozen pipes in the winter and humidity buildup in the summer. Tracking heavy wind and rain helps us anticipate power outages. We love the system for both Home and Cabin weather information. Easy setup, easy operation. Amazing number of stations reporting worldwide.

Did you know you make more CO2 when awake? Is the heat working when you are away? How fast did the air pressure drop during that bomb cyclone? How good is the insulation in your house - how fast does it approach outdoor temp when you turn off the heat or a/c?
Is anyone at the house?
All these and many more are at your fingertips.
Ok a bit nerdy but easy to imagine saving on heat or cooling by wise venting and minimizing when nobody home.
I was amazed how high the CO2 got during a party. Help the party atmosphere with some venting, and all can have a better time even if they don’t know what changed.

This was a present for old Dad from my sons. I like to be able to know if 10 inches dumped on my house when I’m traveling. Set up was easy and without incident. I did have to reset the outdoor module once, not sure why. I purchased an additional indoor module for my unattached heated garage. The wind gauge is mounted at the highpoint on my house roof.

It’s winter here, but we have warm spell and supposed to get rain, so I’m excited to see the rain gauge work.

I also own two Netatmo cameras: Presence (mounted on my garage with motion detector flood light camera) and Welcome (interior camera with facial recognition). Very happy with both products. Had an issue with the Mini SD card on the Presence, Netatmo’s customer service was excellent in supplying me a new card to resolve the issue.

Also, cool to see the other folks around the world and in my home town that also have the Netatmo weather set-up.

I really like the rain gauge as I can see how much rain is happening right now and the forecast rain and the amount of rain received so far. The gauge empties itself automatically. I don’t have it mounted permanently yet but I bought the separate arm to connect to a pole or something else. Very cool tech. Easy to pair with weather station. It just works. Anemometer works great too providing real time wind information. The wind and rain gauge are installed on a flagpole and they work.

I have had this weather station for about 2+ years now and I have owned others but this one stands out from all the rest.
It always stays online and updates the weather station automatically. The only downside about this weather station
Is that it is a bit pricey to get-but once you buy it that’s all you will need to have a good reliable WIFI Weather Station that will last for years to come.

I’ve been testing out a couple of smart devices for the past year, some socket control, other lighting.
When I came to Netatmo, the product had a very sleek design, the units were very simple, I thought I’m not gonna have a quality product, as the manufacturing did not look very robust.
But, when I started using the weather station, the results were fabulous, the readings are super accurate, the interface is slick and beautiful.
I love what these guys are doing with their products, I have the full range of thermostat and heat control units now and can’t wait to set them up.

At first when I got my Netatmo weather station it installed just fine. I added the rain and wind gauges. Had trouble installing one of them and after analysis with Netatmo support they sent me a new module. The weather station has been functioning very well since. I would recommend this station to anyone who is a pro or amateur meteorologist. My station readings are used by others to look at the weather in the area when they are away.

I love this weather station and app, especially since it is HomeKit friendly. I can check the temp at my house and I can easily figure out what is happening at my house. If you are making a HomeKit friendly house and you are also a weather geek, this is the product for you! If you get the alert that it is below freezing, you can close blinds and turn up a thermostat, to save on energy costs.

I have used this appliance for measuring performance of the vent systems and monitoring kindergarten indoor climate.

To say that I'm happy with this tool is to say nothing. It's just awesome.

I was afraid at first that CO2 sensor is not showing good results (I have checked against verified Autopilot and CO2Meter devices), but it all went back to nominal when device self-calibration was over (there's a mark on the device homepage when calibration is in progress).

I also found sound meter extremely helpful in my measurements, because noise is one of the critical aspects of the vent system functioning.

It was also helpful that device stored data internally when the connection failed so I did not loose my measurement data for several days.

I found the web-interface a bit difficult to scroll for long periods of time, so more graphana-like interface is welcome. Yet at the moment it can be worked around by exporting the data in csv and importing it in any analytics tool.

Good product. Looking forward for new updates.

I live in a rural area with occasional power outages. I have two cats; when temps are in the 100s and an outage knocks out my A/C (which does not come back on automatically) I want to know about it so I can run home and turn it back on. Netatmo was easy to install and has given me peace of mind.

I’m also kind of a weather geek with a weather-dependent job, so it’s nice to have a super-local recording site that I can check from anywhere. Definitely recommend.

As found by the most reviewer, I've had no problems on iOS 9 and beta 9.1 and the properly uses the screen real-estate on iPhone 6, or 6+ as well as both current iPads. As to 'tips' the user just needs to disable them. Or if you find you can't reinstall NetatmoWeather . My install has not shown them since the original installs. I find it a great intuitive app and as a developer has a very usable well architected UI. As a former Naval Aviator and weather nut I've installed 2 systems already at home and a family vacation home. It's a must have 'gadget' and app.

Netatmo is fantastic app and weather gathering system. You can get the temperature wherever in or out of your house immediately including a graph of temperature, humidity, co2, and noise on main station. The rain gage is also convenient and quite accurate. I haven’t tried the wind gage because I don’t really have a place to put it. It’s much more helpful to have the weather at your home than 20 miles away and you can access it from anywhere.

When I received this as a gift from my children I thought it was nice. But I wasnt sure what it really did.
It provides a large amount of information that I didnt know I needed and now I love having this much data on the interior of the home as well as the ability to drill down on whats really going on outside. So specific, not general.
A wonderful addition to my home and to life.

I like everything about my Netamo weather station. I have a base station, a rain gauge, and a wind gauge. They all work great and seem to be accurate. NetatmoWeather has worked perfectly from day one. It didn’t install according to the instructions, but it seems rare for any software product to do so. I still got it going by myself in an hour or so without having to call tech support. The only improvement would be to make the rain gauge and wind gauge values accessible from HomeKit...they are currently not available.

A most wonderful system, a dream come true, as long as the system’s servers are functional. I’ve used multiple products for several years. The system went down during a the past few severe storms and during marginal mixed ice, snow and rain events: very bad timing. But this has happened several times! Lots of connectivity problems in the past few weeks, including a few full or half-day outages. When it works, and it usually does, it is truly fantastic. But, if you depend on it, and it is not there...ugh. When it is reliable, I will happily update my review and rating (back to five stars).

I've had the Netatmo since it came out. Have the Rain Gauge and just bought the Wind Gauge. The unit has worked amazingly since I've had it!!!

I had some problems with the wind gauge. I have to say that the support team has been nothing but the best for me and thought I should mention it! They took care of the wind gauge right away and sent me a new unit. They have answered all my questions which have been many. For me they have been nothing but the best, especially Prashanth!!!

We’ve had two of these for about two years and are very happy with them. The one at home helps monitor the weather inside and out while we are away, and the one at the beach house we use to monitor temp and humidity inside only to make sure the heat/ac are working, and that the dehumidifier is doing its job when no one is around. Considering getting more modules.
