I have had subscription to MIT SMR since 2015. Earlier this year I started seeing that my iTunes purchases for MITSloanManagementReview won’t sync. Thinking it may be a temporary issue I ignored it for a long time. Then recently I thought may be with the release of iOS 11 it will get fixed. However, it still won’t work. When I launch MITSloanManagementReview , I get a prompt for restoring my purchases. Within moments I see the cover pages of all the issues that I have purchased. Next message says the purchases are being restored and would take a few minutes. However, hours pass by and not even a single issue gets downloaded. Following MITSloanManagementReview Support instructions, I contacted MITSloanManagementReview Developer. Because I subscribed through iTunes they cannot help restoring iTunes subscription. They gave me a separate login to login as a digital subscriber. Still no luck with downloading the issues. I called Apple Support and they won’t take any ownership in the issue and squarely blame the errant app and developer. As a paying subscriber you get help neither from the developer nor from the gatekeeper Apple. I suggest no one buy anything on iTunes. If you buy a digital subscription separately, you have a better chance of resolving any issues directly with the developer or access your subscription on non-Apple platform. But buying on iTunes, it will be a finger pointing between Apple and the developer and you lose your purchases. Disappointed with both Apple and MIT. Only the names are big .....

has only one way to go—UP!! I was hoping this Jan/Feb 2022 update would fix the many issues with MITSloanManagementReview, but it didn’t. It keeps asking for my email and never accepts it. Navigation isn’t intuitive (eg going back to past issues), needs so much work.

I’ll be thrilled if they get a pro app developer who actually knows how to develop good apps with great UX and a super UI. One that can store the articles on the device for offline access that actually works (and not just for the current issue). It needs great Boolean search capabilities, highlighting and bookmarking and so much more. If I would have know MITSloanManagementReview was this bad I would never have subscribed.

I recently purchased a subscription to MITSMR through MITSloanManagementReview, tried to read a few articles only to find that MITSloanManagementReview would glitch and send me back to the top of the screen. Due to the content, which I really enjoy, I tried to their website to indulge - finding out my subscription only works in MITSloanManagementReview . Another large complaint is that for paying $65/year I’d expect very few if any ads, instead every time you open MITSloanManagementReview you are welcomed by a full screen ad. Not happy about this purchase at all.

Won’t let me access any of the previous issues even when my subscription is active. New issues neither download automatically nor show up on MITSloanManagementReview for download even after a week of becoming available. Add to it a customer support that takes 3 days to respond (with a counter question).

Overall a very poor customer experience

MITSloanManagementReview looks terrible on anything newer than an iPhone 7. The interface is dated and clunky, the resolution is low, and quite frankly I didn’t renew my subscription solely because of MITSloanManagementReview. How could MIT have an app that is so dated?? Can’t they find either the money for dev or a small group of students at MIT who want the glory of updating and maintaining the MIT SMR app‽

I have not had any issues so far, I am on an iPhone X. I have given it a 5 star rating. Keep up the excellent work.

Your App can’t sync with my subscription. Can you look into this? I could see from different reviews that since 4 years ago, this sync issue has been pending.

I can login on desktop but not on MITSloanManagementReview. Says it can’t recognize my login ID?!

For iOS devices: Just tap the “Settings” icon in the top right-hand corner of the tablet app (or in the bottom right corner on the smartphone app) and enter your subscriber email address.

Just downloaded MITSloanManagementReview and cannot access content. Sad that a reputable source like MIT does not spend the effort to assure a user experience worthy of their brand. Will be canceling this subscription and utilizing Harvard Business Review instead.

Have an active subscription . No problem accessing online but not through MITSloanManagementReview. Asks me to subscribe or sign in. I try to sign in it just loops back to subscribe or sign in. App is useless.

Downloaded issues do not show up, once “read” is clicked. 🧐

I paid for my subscription and I'm still unable to access any content

Hands down a shamefully inconsistent and unreliable app. Turning the iPad leads to a white screen and, best case, spinning icons. Has MIT run out of computer science majors?

I downloaded MITSloanManagementReview to better utilize my paid subscription. When I enter my email address, I receive a response that my email address cannot be found in their database. I can log into the website just fine with the same credentials. I called customer support. They verified that I am using the correct email address. Their suggestion was to deleted MITSloanManagementReview and reinstall. I did this but continue to have the same problem. I find it very frustrating to pay good money for a service and not be able to fully utilize it.

It's now a pleasure to read MIT SMR. The last couple of issues have a redesign, with a cleaner layout and better font size. The content addresses changes taking place in business today, with practical application solutions. Great graphs and charts. Every article seems like a must-read. Highly recommend.

Do not try MITSloanManagementReview. I have a paid subscription. Ivan access the MIT Sloan Mgt Review site fine from my laptop but MITSloanManagementReview will not work. I keep getting an error stating they have no record of my e-mail address. This is preposterous as its the same one I use to get to their site from my Mac. Their customer support provided positively no help at all. Despite what some posters have claimed that this problem is fixed - it is not. MITSloanManagementReview is flawed. Do not load it.

The problem described by Mr. Larson has been fixed by the MIT Sloan Management Review and is no longer an issue for users of MITSloanManagementReview.
